Passing through Fresno while visiting Yosemite with my two sisters and saw the reviews of the best ice cream in town here at Ampersand!Enjoyed delicious and rich flavors of the Dark Chocolate, Doodle & Cream, Bordeaux, and Pralines & Cream! 100% recommend to go and try! They give out samples to taste too!

Great, in-store made ice cream with traditional and interesting flavors. Try the Whiskey swirl milk shake for sure (then go run a bunch of miles!). The honeycomb and bordeaux are great as well (you can get two scoops in one cup). For a traditional and extra sweet flavor, try the fudge mint cookie. The service is exceptional, youll come back again!

A very good place with great gelato. Tried the dark chocolate and the Praline and cream. Both of them were amazing. The staff was very friendly. The prices were affordable. A good variety of options. Defiantly will go again and again.

Well, the first high point of this shop is that it is open until 11:00pm. Which was perfect for us after a long day in the National Parks.But then the shop itself was just perfect. The vibe was very conducive to the quaint, friendly parlor they intended. They even have a window to peer into the process of creating their amazing product.And ultimately the greatest high point is the ice cream itself. Where we are from in Michigan there is a shop with 150 flavors to choose from, 3 types of vanilla to matcha tea, and everything in between. We also are sure to sample ice cream shops everywhere we travel. But, I truly have never tasted any ice cream as uniquely exquisite as this. I had a flight of four flavors, which included strawberries & sugar cookie, sweet corn, honeycomb, and peach cobbler. Usually I can choose a favorite, yet it was impossible with these.This shop, Ampersand Ice Cream, is worth even an out of the way drive to experience their one of a kind product.

Great little shop that has a great recipe for amazing flavors. I always seem to be drawn to the permanent flavors like the Bordeaux or Whiskey Caramel, but you can choose from a rotating selection of fresh and local flavors.Love supporting local and this is a great business to support.

They have tasty, creative seasonal ice creams as well as the core ice creams served year round. My kids love this place! This is what they offer right now for June 2021. Honey Bourbon Peach is my fave!

The ice cream that Ampersand makes is top notch! More than likely my favorite ice cream parlor in the Fresno area!! The staff is always courteous, and I love the the fact that they have monthly flavors because it gives me incentive to continue coming back! Yummy variety of flavors! If you are looking for a unique flavor, go here! Low melting point though. Walked outside in 99degree heat and the ice cream melted faster than we could eat it. Nowhere to sit inside.

I love Ampersand ice cream for their vegan options. They usually have 2 to 3 vegan flavors to choose from and theyre always good. They make their own ice cream flavors and are always changing it up. They are very reasonably priced for the quality of the ice cream. Great for kids and families. Everytime I go in the staff is soo friendly. I really enjoy this place. The neighborhood is also really cute, great place to grab an ice cream and take a nice walk.

Heard about the honeycomb flavor and was dying to try it, also not a fan of honey, but this ice cream blew away all uncertainties with one spoonful. I love this little ice cream shop, while the line gets long on warm spring and summer evenings, the line is steady and currently due to Covid regulations. A bonus is that this place is popular with firefighters and my 3 year old was so excited when not one but TWO engines pulled up and a group of firefighters came out and stood behind us. They were awesome enough to show him a bit of their truck and flash the lights for him. Such a fun night

This place has wonderful ice cream. The unique flavors are always very delicious. Last night I tried the sweet corn 🌽 which sounded very odd for an ice cream flavor, but it was delicious 😋 Another great experience at Ampersand!

We have been visiting Ampersand from the beginning and are never disappointed. I could take a bath in the toasted marshmallow sweet potato ice cream which they have in the fall. It is so delicious.

We’ve heard great things about this place and finally tried it out. It’s a cozy little spot and the ice cream is delicious! We’ve gone a few times and the customer service is great. Can’t go wrong with a scoop or a pint to go! Great variety and can’t wait to try out more flavors soon!

Im from Minnesota and first tried theirhoney comb ice cream a year ago. I have been craving it since! Returned to Fresno, Ampersand was one of my first stops. It was as fabulous as I remembered! We devised a way for me to bring some home to Minnesota. A soft side cooler with medical gel packs. It worked!!!

My favorite ice cream. Just the right amount of ice and not to much cream, the rocky road has nuts in almost every bite. My fave!

Great gourmet ice cream with fantastic service. Outdoor seating available & is in a more scenic area. Employees even brought the order outside to me as my dog was with me. Plus they provide water for four legged friends too. Love to take a walk to it with my kiddos for a special treat.

Love getting the Bordeaux regularly but they also swap in new flavors regularly. It is a great place to go with friends, a date, family, etc. Great vibe and the staff is also very nice.

Handmade icecream with amazing flavor. Ice cream perfection and their fresh cookies they sometimes sell are tasty too! Flavors change often but it keeps things interesting. They arent allowing testers rn which makes me sad but its due to covid regulations so its understandable. Nothing tastes artificial ever! My favorite is the honeycomb. Pure magic. While more on the pricey side its worth every penny!

Freshly made ice cream....where can I go wrong? The Lana Coffee was excellent and since I went on Sunday for a special I was able to have the toppings of sliced almonds, marshmallows and homemade chocolate whipped cream! Soooo delicious! Sorry I couldnt take a pic....too good to waste time snacking! 🤤 I will be back for more.

They offer seasonal flavors along with artisan ice cream blends. What i really appreciated was the simplicity of the menu, easy to read with not a whole lot of overwhelming choices. They churn their ice in house which is why you get great tasting fresh ice cream evertime. When we walked in the place was pretty busy, there was a line slightly out the door, but no worries, the line dwendled down quickly. The staff was very friendly, they offered samples and suggestions which was greatly appreciated. I had the whisky caramel with dark chocolate & Madagascar Vanilla...yum! My sister had the blueberry honey, whisky caramel & peaches & cream. We enjoyed every flavor! Nice to see a thriving local business in the growing Fresno High/Tower community. Thid place is a must try!

I think it is called Ampersand because when youre ordering, theres always an and... I cannot believe how often I visit for a scoop and leave with a cookie and a pint. They have friendly staff, delicious and uniquely flavored scoops, and a kid-friendly Velociraptor mascot.

On our first visit we were told a little bit about the business using all locally sourced ingredients and having all the ice cream made in-store. They encourage sampling flavors. The honeycomb was delicious. Groups of two or three are max if you want to be comfortable.

Delicious ice cream, with unique and impressive flavors. The Whiskey Carmel Swirl is my my favorite with just a bit of salty savory flavor to complement the sweet. Their seasonal flavors are always great too, from Gingerbread to Lavender.

So many flavors to choose from and good quality ice cream. Smooth, rich, delicious! Cant wait to go back and get more. Great customer service and clean facilty. 🍦🍨🍧

Ampersand is amazing! The staff are awesome, very friendly, willing to help, and like to joke around with you if you initiate it. The ice cream is amazing as well. They have nice rich flavors and they have a few dairy/lactose free flavors for people like myself who are lactose intolerant. Overall they are great 😊

Since they opened their doors, since has been the best ice cream in town. Stopped by for Sundae Sunday. Wonderful staff is always friendly and the ice cream cant be beat. This made for a great end to our family day out.

The ice cream here is always rich and smooth, a perfect treat after a walk around the neighborhood. They are good about practicing social distancing and reducing risk as well.

Haven’t been their in years but I love their honeycomb ice cream. A lot of their ice cream is wonderful. It might be a bit pricey, but it is worth your money. I been trying to get my dad to go, but haven’t succeeded yet. It’s a little hard to do so when you live in Idaho with no honeycomb ice cream around. Maybe the next time I’m in California I will probably take him their for some heaven on earth taste of ice cream

It seems to be a direct copy of the Salt & Straw ice cream shops in L.A. but it works. Very friendly staff but they need better ice cream flavors. They had coffee and salt the other day. Plus a beet ice cream that tasted horrible. I applaud them for trying but the ice creams that sounds good actually are good.

It is the first time I buy here; the ice cream is ok but not great for the high price they sell it also I ordered it in a cone and I really thought they would give me a waffle cone and it was not a classic cone made in a factory.

COVID precautions make wait very long but the ice cream is worth it.It is expensive fir the quantity of ice cream but the quality is excellent. In addition, because it is “rich” the take home size lasted a while in the freezer and stayed sane quality.What a treat!

In addition to their standard flavors, they have an equally large seasonal/monthly menu. Their flavors are all unique, strawberry balsamic, salt and coffee. These are not the kind of things you are going to find in your grocery freezer. Just like a craft beer bar, they let you taste before you buy. Every flavor I got was delicious, creamy, and really expressed the ingredients. With all of this, its still a low key, unpretentious environment and the ice cream still goes for about $5.
