I bought my first electric guitar from American Music 25 years ago. I bought my first synthesizer there. Ive made all my major purchases there. Never again. Today, I went to pick up something for my work and left my phone on my desk. When I arrived, the door was locked with instructions to call for assistance. I look inside and see an old guy at the counter so I knock on the window and jingle the door (which has bells). As Im trying to get his attention he ignores me and walks into a back room. Thankfully, a neighboring business called to ask for me to be let in. When she told him that I was trying to get in he told her, I know. He needs to call. She told him, Well, hes calling now. Can you let him in? I walk back over, the same old guy I saw lets me in, and I am so furious I show him what I need, I pay the $5.19, ask for my receipt, and leave. I will never spend another dime here so long as I live. I will never help American Music by referring another person to them since their employees cant be bothered to answer the door for me. Its a shame that our relationship of 25 years came to an end like this but I will not be disrespected just because I didnt have a phone with me.
5 stars on customer service! Came in with a problem with my sons guitar. Left with a working guitar which my son should be happy about.
Brady, the luthier for string instruments, was fantastic! He deserves a 8 star rating. I brought my daughters cello in for a fallen sound post. He treated us with respect, even though she doesnt have the most expensive cello. (This has been an issue with other luthiers and shops in the area) His turnaround time was fast and his work was excellent, he cut a new sound post. When we got the cello back, he had polished and cleaned it as well. I thought his pricing was fair for the work he did. I will always bring my instruments to American music company.
I purchased a Fender Telecaster from American Music Co. The guitar was shipped quickly to Boston and was received sooner than expected. When I spoke to the representative he answered all my questions and sent pictures of the guitar. I was very pleased with my purchase and would recommend checking them out for your music needs.
Great customer service and good selection for a local business. Ended up buying a violin for my wife and they were very attentive when helping us out!
Super nice, and expertly helpful. Brought my bass in for warranty repair. I didnt purchase it from them, nor was it a brand they sell. Yet, with the proper documentation, they agreed happily to accept it for repair. Edward said he wanted to check it out before I headed back home (30 miles one way). He and the other gentleman took about 10 minutes to troubleshoot it. Turned out it was a pair of 9 volt batteries that had run down. No more buzz and low output. Thanks guys!
Great local business!Staff is very knowledgeable.Prices are very reasonable.Large selection of instruments.
The experience was great bought my first guitar there, friendly staff.
Had exactly what I needed. You have to call before you can go in, but that wasnt much of a process.
I got fixed at American music my 12 strings ovation celebrity long time ago and still working good ..And also they have good prices .
Awesome place with great rates on all rentals for saxophones. Also has a violin repair for anything new all the way to antique. They do great work.
Thankful for this local music shop. Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. And Their guitar tech hooked my Ibanez up just like I wanted it.
Terrible customer service! Wont step foot in there again. Left without buying anything. Decided to go to Patricks where they were extremely helpful and considerate. Employee insisted that I was being sarcastic, which I wasnt. He told me that masks make it easy for people to be sarcastic. All I asked is if they had guitar strings. He then said all they do is sell guitars and no strings. So idk who was being sarcastic. I asked an honest question since at first glance I didnt notice any. Bad, bad, baaaad!!
Im gonna give these guys 4.5 stars. The good: Ordered an Ibanez Bass. They shipped it the same day. Arrived really quick. Thats excellent service. The bad: had some questions, but when I called, they never answered. Tried messaging them on Facebook. Didnt respond. Conclusion: Great shipping service. Bad communication. If they fix communication, it would be a perfect 5 stars.
Staff really shows they care
Love this place, been around a long time. Good people
Theyve got a great inventory of instruments (I bought a saxophone there and the guys there really know their sax) and their string technicians are awesome and were willing to take on a job for me that no one else would
Forgot my mask waited outside and they brought right out to me quick ..thats cool cause I was on my mountain bike 3 miles from home
This place has been serving the valley for many years. We used to work with Tim on theater projects back in the 80s and hes a great guy! They put together sound systems for churches, schools and other venues around the valley. Good selection of musical instruments. I believe they still do instrument rentals for schools too. They are family-owned and will go out of their way to serve you. Support local family-owned small businesses!
I had a great experience with American Music Company. Got a great guitar for a very reasonable price. Finally found a guitar that my fat fingers can fret. Thank you Edward.
I was so glad to see my old friend Charlie here. If you want a good ole friendly All American music supply salesperson come here and ask for Charlie, hell help you find what youre looking for and give you an impressive discount that will put a smile on your face. His inviting and welcoming personality made my day. : )
They fixed a broken string on my guitar and tuned it, in less then 5 minutes. Great customer service!
I dont hate it, its a great place to shop.
Ive been looking for a high quality Tenor Saxophone for about a year now and finally found one. The service was great. The owner helped me find a great sax for a great price. I came in with a very low expectation of grabbing a sax and walking out with it but it worked out wonderfully for me.
I really enjoyed my experience here. Very, very good selection of Fender and Squier guitars here. I was just passing through and wanted to talk guitars and jam a little, the employee was super nice and well informed. Great place to take your business!
Great knowledgeable staff and decent prices
Im just a kid with little money, and always wanted a piano keyboard. A few months ago I only had $150 that I saved up, and went to check it out. There was a keyboard that was $170 that came with everything I needed as a beginner. They were willing to cut it down to $150 for me and I really appreciated that. i would recommend you check this place out.
Went to 2 stores. Other place had a cockroach, American Music Co had an Albino Praying Mantis. Other place (despite being 10x times the size) was sold out of what I wanted. Walked out w/ an Orange Affinity Strat, love it. 4 stars purely because it makes the review seem more honest.
Very nice place, the people are very knowledgeable...
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff advised me on materials and supplies to get started on the right foot with a new instrument. If you do not see what you need, be sure to ask, as they have a lot more inventory in the back. Awesome shop!
Great service!! After being treated badly at Guitar Center we went to American Music. Bernie was awesome!! He ordered the power supply for our mixer that the other guys stated they dont sell and we would have to order ourselves online. Then on top of that he made us a GREAT deal on a Peavey cordless microphone!! Thank you Bernie for making me feel like what I need matters. You have a customer for life!!!
I came in just to look around and while the employee there was very nice, he was also very patronizing. Overall enjoyed the store. It is relatively small but still very nice.
Excellent friendly service. Competitive pricing.
Ive gone there a few times in the past 7 years or so. I went there about 4 times to get various guitars set up and custom wired. Unlike every other shop Ive called, they dont rip you off for a simple pickup swap. Theyve always been really friendly. I bought an amp there recently and they gave me a nice deal on it. Their stock isnt huge, but Ill definitely go back there to get anything I want that theyve got.
Theyve been there when the others dropped the ball. Im as loyal and forth right as I can be, and thats all I ask of anyone else. Music stores have had it great and rough just like us but we I need them and must give as well as take. When they get it right acknowledge that too and make sure they know it.
Always have what I need as far as supplies. Given me parts I cant find in their boxes full of parts. Very cool salespeople too.
Very professional and friendlier than Guitar Center!
Great business. Locally owned and they will go out of their way to make you happy. They will also stand by their products.
American Music in Fresno made my purchase of a guitar fast, easy and very satisfying! Great people to deal with, very friendly, professional service and an excellent price on the guitar I bought! Thank you!
Excellent mom pop type atmosphere. Got my first guitar on layaway at a mom-and-pop in Oklahoma City this place was the same kind of atmosphere very helpful
Nice little music store. Lag guitars!
Ive been doing business with these guys for years. professional knowledgeable and courteous staff I will keep coming back
As inflexible as it gets. I was trying to rent a cello for a funeral but because we were from out of town they could not work with us. I even tried to give them a credit card for the cost of a new cello and the manager said they just could not do it: they have a way of doing business and there is no flexibility.I then called Patricks Music and they worked it out in about 5 minutes. Go to Patricks.
The staff is very helpful and nice. Its a great place for quick shopping trips to get your music equipment.
Took my Strat in for a full setup. I am very pleased with the results. I found the staff very knowledgeable, Laid Back, Friendly, and not the least bit Pushy. I will certainly check them out for any future purchases.
Awesome people. Sort of a small shop with tons of instruments, parts, etc.
American Music Company is a group of trained staff, who helped me find just the right instrument. I recommend them to everyone.
American music co had everything I needed for my violin I was looking for a button and I found one, I also picked up some rosen and looked at their selection of instruments they had a great price and theyre staff was very friendly and helped me with everything you need
Had what we needed. Nobody else in town did. A bit dirty.
Is a good place to get what you need for your music needs
