While I ordinarily do not leave reviews, I was completely appalled by the level of workmanship provided by this store. I have previously used their services; however, this occurrence ultimately became a nightmare.We took my son’s iPad to have a cracked screen replaced. They fixed the screen; however, the iPad would not work when we took it home. So we returned it and were told that the IPad needed a new battery and they would replace. When we brought the iPad home, charged it and it became extremely hot. We returned the iPad and informed them of the problem, they said they would fix it. Every time we followed up to pick up the IPad, they said the parts were delayed because of Covid-19. After 6 months of delays, they finally informed me that they could not fix it because the motherboard was damaged (it was burned when the battery overheated).Even after admitting that fact, they refused to take responsibility and informed us that they could not do anything about the IPad. They refunded the battery price of $60 and left us with an unusable IPad.I would definitely think twice about using their service.

My screen broke and my phone worked fine until one day I woke up and my screen wasn’t working I took my phone in to get it fixed and the guy said my screens censor wasn’t working when it was. He pretty much messed it up and when I told him it worked before I got the screen fixed he tried to tell me that the phone wouldn’t turn on so there wasn’t a way to be sure. Well he continued to say that if I want I can pay 70 dollars for a censor that only cost 20 bucks to fix and I paid 130 for the screen my phone has had a lot of problems since I got it fixed and he refused to return my money. I took my phone elsewhere. They told me he has replaced some parts of my phone. He also hung up on me multiple times and he was very unprofessional

I dropped in this business while my son was getting a hair cut in the same shopping center. Very friendly and attentive business. As soon as I walked in the door they were ready to help. Showed him that I’d cracked my screen and he immediately assessed and told me he could fix it. Also sold me some additional screen protection which I was very pleased he offered. Took about 45 min and they were done. They also gave me additional discounts for my business. What a wonderful place! I will definitely be recommending them to everyone I can!

These guys changed the screen on my iPhone after water damage. Good thing that my phone is working again. The bad thing that they installed not original Apple retina display. Some crapy Chinese display. Very poor visibility on the bright sun. I understand that original display can be more expensive, but they had to tell me about it and give me a choice what display to choose, original retina and more expensive or cheaper one. I expected that I ll have original display replacement. On the pictures you can see comparison original Retina and not original on my phone.

Stay away from this place unless you want to leave with a broken phone. They have incompetent employees andA rude manager. If I could rate this place zero-I would .Stay away !

I went in to get the screen replaced and they put the screen on way wrong. You can see now that the screen is popping out of where it is supposed to sit . Also I slightly dropped my phone and it cracked across the bottom of the screen and that pieces started coming of of the bottom .After that i was laying down on the floor and the phone was in my pocket. It slipped out and hit the right corner now i can get into my phone at all.

The guy was very courteous and knowledgeable. When explaining what he was going to do for our device he was very thorough. We were in and out and got a great deal for our broken device. If you have any problems go see him now!!!!

Today I came here and learned that this location is under new management. We have been here in the past and the place had a totally different vibe then. George fixed my teenager’s phone quickly and expertly. It was done in half an hour and it was a reasonable price. He even did me a favor that I was not expecting. I had a charging port that was broke on my iPad. Two different Best Buy’s told me it would be cheaper to just buy a new one. The one I have is 2 yrs old. Great staff very friendly and helpful. Fixed it for way less then the cost of a new one.

My high-end laptop was under 2 years old but out of warranty when the hinge that connects the screen and sound bar to the keyboard broke. I took it in and the guy told me if I could get the part he’d fix it. I was lucky to find the part at an online computer parts store. Lenovo told me they didn’t even have it!!!! So I get the part, take it in and TADAH! By the way, you don’t even want to know what Best Buy/Geek Squad was going to charge me just to ship it out and repair which would take 5 weeks! This place fixed it in a day after I got the part and very affordable. Just the nicest guy too.

I had the best experience at this location this past Sunday. I went in and needed my phone fixed in less than 20 mins. Sean was very professional and extremely fast. I was in and out within a timely manner. I purchased several accessories and got 2 more phones fixed.

IPhone 10x digitizer replacement. Had issues immediately: lock screen camera and flashlight buttons didn’t work, location services did not work, Face ID unlock did not work. I went in to get it fixed, already an unnecessary inconvenience. They fixed these issues temporarily but within a day the issues came back: lock screen buttons not working, Face ID not working. I planned to come in the following day for another repair and the screen had cracked. I had not dropped it, and am unsure what caused it to crack. I have had the phone for over a year with no cracks, and now this screen cracked within a week. And now, of coarse, I cannot get a refund or warranty on the defective part because it’s cracked.The staff at this location are very friendly, their prices are very affordable, but my experience indicates that they’re using lower quality parts to have competitive pricing. I hope my experience reiterates to someone else that they should pay a little more for higher quality products to avoid this hassle, headache and expense.

Fantastic service! Shawn (Sean? So sorry if I’ve spelled that wrong 🙃) was very personable and they replaced my cracked screen very fast. My daughter and her friends have come to them on multiple occasions and they always provide great repairs. It’s just out side the mall, so I drove up, walked in, and walked out. No crowds, no hunting for a parking space, just a quick and easy trip. I will definitely recommend them to others!

I just had a great experience here. I stopped by because I dropped my phone in mud and the charger was clogged. I tried to clean it out myself but couldnt get all the mud out and I didnt want to break anything. The tech at Dr. Cell Phone carefully cleaned out the mud, made sure it could charge, and told me I didnt owe him anything for the service. How nice!

I recently cracked my Macbook Pro screen a day before I was supposed to leave the country. Apple said it would be a week until they could fix it, and after being quoted ridiculous prices for same day service at different repair shops, I was so frustrated. That was until I went into Dr. Cell Phone. The guys were so friendly and they gave my an awesome price for same-day service. I was able to have my screen fixed and take my laptop with me on my trip because of them. I highly recommend this place. Their prices are affordable and they have really good customer service.

Drive from Oklahoma to have phone repaired. Repair lasted 19 days then screen started going out. Manager told me to come back and he would warranty the repair. Drove all the way back to be spoken to like I’m bothersome for asking for have my phone repaired and the distance I had to drive just for them to let me know yes my screen went out again but it’s another 108 bucks to fix no matter it’s a warranty issue.

Update: I’ve since been back and apparently the previous tech who no longer works there damaged my motherboard when replacing my screen, they gave me a refund for the original repair but my phone is STILL SCREWED PERMANENTLY and they will not replace it!Definitely do not recommend taking your device hereWent in originally because my screen had a crack in it (strictly superficial, everything was operational) they charged me $102 to change my screen which I was happy about, however immediately after the repair my screen started glitching and my proximity sensor on my phone stopped working so my screen never shuts off when I’m on a call.I’ve since been back 3 times AFTER the initial repair, the second time the gentleman said he replaced my “entire” screen again, the problem STILL persists, I sent 3 emails because they don’t EVER answer the phone when calling received ZERO replies... the gentleman who helped me was a nice guy but it’s obvious they either use the cheapest replacement products available or they hire people who are lacking the proper amount of skill to handle repairs effectively

Brought in an old cell phone yesterday. I had been to three places asking to please get all photos off for me as some of my Mothers photos were on this old phone. Very friendly, competent, professional, easy-to-work with shop in Frisco. Easy to get to, right at the corner of Gaylord and Preston. And, since I had to leave my phone for repairs for 1 to 1.5 hours it was right next door to many shops and restaurants. I went to the bookstore, and had a coffee and just enjoyed 1.5 hours of no interruptions (because. . . no phone). It was ready and looked brand new when I picked it up. Great job guys!

Incompetent & unethical. Had crack on top of phone with no other issues. It took 2 hours longer than committed to “repair” and while screen was repaired i realized after leaving store for 5 minutes and after I paid that keyboard stopped working.Called Apple Genius & then in person for hours at Apple store. According to Apple techs the phone was not repairable so i replaced phone.Dr. cell reimbursed me only part of costs although I never actually used.

EXCELLENT service!!! I have a not-so-common phone and found myself completely insane when its touchscreen began malfunctioning. I visited this shop and was immediately impressed. The gentleman quickly ordered the parts and gave me an estimated date of arrival. He called to let me know when the parts arrived and when it came time for the repair, it was done in less than 2 hours ... ahead of schedule. Somehow I managed to break off my lighting charger in my iPhone 5. Dr. Cell Phone was able to repair it with no problem after the Apple Genius Bar told me that I needed to buy a new phone. After observing the symptoms, they advised me not to spend any money on this phone as it could be a motherboard issue. I was so much surprised as if they wanted they could have earned about 30 bucks to open the phone and tell me the same thing. They are also very time punctual in delivering the repaired item. Additionally, they will give you the exact estimate of the cost involving part and labor, so you will not have any unpleasant surprise of paying more than expected. I do recommend them for any cell phone and laptop repairs.

Dropped off my iPad on Saturday afternoon after being told that it would be ready by closing time on Saturday at 4 o’clock and then being told that it would be ready on Sunday because he was busy, but he would be open on Sunday. He advised that he would call as soon as it was done. I have been trying to reach him ever since by phone and he is not answering voicemails or text messages. He answered the phone once and then hung up. We stopped by his store today and it was closed. We are traveling out of state for Christmas Eve and I need the iPad for my children and he is ignoring all communications. I have called him a dozen times with no response. Not even sure that I dropped our device off to a legit business. Definitely do not recommend. Would give zero stars if I could.

Great place to get your broken phones fixed. Decent pricing. Fantastic service. They told me upfront there is a high risk, 80% chance that the screen might break during repair. But they managed to not break it and save me $200. Highly recommend.

I have used Dr. CellPhone many times (unfortunately) to replace iPhone glass. Always been perfect in past. I had glass replaced a couple months ago through their mobile service and the screen started coming off. Took it into the Frisco location and they fixed it. No hassles, no issues, just took 45 minutes and was good to go. Hopefully I wont need their services again but if (when) I do there is no doubt where Ill continue to go.

Be careful that you understand their policies because they didnt inform me that even if they couldnt fix the phone then they still charge you $30. A pretty crucial piece of information in my opinion. Also, they are supposed to fix it while you wait but I had to come back the next day. I understand that places can be busy so that didnt upset me but what upsets me is that I was two hours past when it was supposed to be ready the next day to pick it up to find the phone not repaired. It would have been nice to have received a call so I could spend my time finding a new phone instead of being surprised that it wasnt fixed and that I still have to pay. Bad customer service.

Went to Frisco location.... great service. My iPhone 6s Plus charger broke inside the charging port and got stuck. Tried myself but couldn’t take it out. When I took it to this store, he took it out in a few seconds. The guy charged me nothing even though I offered to pay. Seemed like honest folks and they really know what they are doing.

Place was slamming with people when I walked in to get my iPhone 4s screen and home button replaced. The associate was very friendly and helpful even though he was helping a store full of people at once. I ended up just dropping off the phone and running a few errands before picking it up after a few hours. The whole experience was fairly easy and I would use them again if I ever have any issues.

Why oh why did I not read the reviews before taking my tablet here?If you break your screen on your phone or tablet, save yourself the anguish and go somewhere else. Seriously, the customer service here is absolutely deplorable.I shipped my Surface in for repair. It was delivered and I got a confirmation that it was. A few days later they called me to tell me that my screen was in. Then suddenly, all went quiet. I started calling....and that is where everything went downhill.To make a long story short, they basically told me that they never received my tablet, contrary to what delivery confirmation said. Suddenly, the USPS was at fault for leaving it outside... excuse after excuse.To make it better, a manager NEVER picked up the phone. Always some tech who knew less than nothing about what was going on.These guys are thieves, pure and simple. I am pressing charges and I plan on legal action. But be warned....stay away from these guys!!!Doing business with them is simply not worth your time and effort. Go elsewhere!

We have now had two items repaired at Dr. Cell Phone in Frisco and they have done a great job. They fixed our sons iPod over 6 months ago and there have been no problems with it at all.
