I recently purchased my first new car, the Subaru Forester Sport, through Subaru Fullerton. I could not be happier with the process. They were not only very friendly and accommodating, but gave me ample time to consider this purchase, answering all of my questions. I never felt rushed or pressured. It was refreshing to be treated like a person and not just a potential commission target.I did ask a LOT of questions, but they were very well received, and I never felt like I was being an inconvenience. There were some supply issues with the car I wanted to purchase; however, they kept me informed throughout the whole process. This gave me more peace of mind and never left me feeling like they had forgotten about me. I am very grateful that they listened to all my concerns and were always easy to reach when I had questions about the purchase, even after I brought the car home. There were a few mistakes throughout the process such as forgetting to factor in our VIP status and some other minor issues, but they were thoroughly explained, apologized for and swiftly resolved, which demonstrated their professionalism and thoroughness and honesty.Overall, a fantastic buying experience and would happily purchase another Subaru from them again. Huge thank you to Miguel and Steven for all your help during the purchase!
Miguel was awesome in helping my family get my first car! He really took care of us and was thorough in the process! Let us test drive the car and was transparent with everything! Would come back again!
Lack of communication and price gouging. Do not come here. Didt tell me they dont have the part. Stranded no vehicle for the rest of the week. Estimate for sensor replacement $170. Tell me it will be $600. Ask for just the sensor replacement$480, was able to talk down to $350. The price they give is not the price. I called next day asking when the car will be ready only to find out they have to order it and my car wont be ready till friday, I gave them my car on Monday. If I had known going in i would have been gone elsewhere and could have figured out transportation. How the f am I supposed to get to work for the rest of the week?
Miguel at Ocean Subaru in Fullerton was awesome. He was very straight forward and helpful throughout the entire process, from test drive to driving off of the lot with our new Crosstrek. I will definitely be recommending any family and friends to head here for an exceptional car buying experience.
Came in to look and lease a new WRX, and had the best experience I’ve had compared to other Subaru dealers. Wanted to get the lease special on their website and Manny and Miguel did their best to give me that deal. Thank you so much guys, can’t wait to be back for my second Subaru. 🙌🏼
Just leased my first Subaru at Ocean Subaru in Fullerton. Brandon was an incredible salesperson. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Brandon and the entire Ocean team!
I purchased a Honda Pilot on Saturday from Ocean Subaru. Brandon DeBarros was extremely helpful in getting us the car and price. The staff are professional and helpful. I highly recommend you purchase your car here.
First time Subaru owner. Went through the Lease to own option. Want to give a shout out to Miguel, who was the backbone of making the process smooth and painless. Thanks Miguel for treating me like the person who needed the guidance instead of a commission! Thx for the Starbucks too!
Love our new Outback! Working with Ocean Subaru of Fullerton was super easy, friendly, and made us feel welcome. Manny is great, and we highly recommend him to anyone wanting someone who will think of you, not just chase a commission. Car looks and drives great and we’re excited to drive the Outback!
Just purchased my first Subaru Forester from Louie at this location and LOVE IT!! He was very straight forward and helpful when it came to understanding each model. I ended up falling in love with a brand new beauty, I gave him my number and he came back with the best deal for me and my wife. Zayra in finance was amazing as well! I felt taken care of, appreciated and understood when I left there. Can’t wait to meet with Kevin to go over the specs and gadgets on my new car. Thank you for making this experience the best one yet. If you need a Great salesman with Lots of Subaru experience, Louie Is your guy!
Great service. Was traveling from Wa state. Took care of me as if I got the car from them. The tech Marlin was helpful and knowledgeable in the eye sight questions I had. Will visit again if I need anything.
Awesome experience and friendly service from Frank when purchasing my outback. 😊Great follow up service to review the technology on my new outback with Kevin. He was super thorough and helpful. Scored with a few insider tips and walked away with a free gas card too. 🙌🏻😁
They have always been very courteous but the last time I was there I had to deal with George Who was also courteous but he was just playing his role, as he was inattentive and unreasonable.I waited over eight hours in the lobby, from 8 AM till about 4 or 5 PM.George never came back to update me on anything or to let me know how things were going. I had to ask about shuttle service and none was available & neither was a loaner car offered during my covered warranty time & still with low miles under warranty. I never got all the small items fixed or addressed that were manufacture issues & that we were concerned on bc of recalls. Some parts we’re supposed to be ordered & never were & it was 8 months prior to this review. If they ever came in I was never called when parts arrived. After my last appointment, again I called a manager and no manager ever got back to me!Fed up and sold our beautiful Subaru. Doing business with Toyota again! 😉
Very bad place, don’t go! I wish I can give a 0! We leased the car here, want to use the option to buy out, we asked them the procedure, all they need to do is let us call Chase bank, instead the sale insisted that we have to return the car to the dealer and they would have to do inspection and repair for us with the estimate over $5000. Then the car can be sold to us with extra $5000 cost! We called other dealership got the bank phone number, and we can either pay off or do the new loan application with Chase! Very bad experience! They just want to rob you!
Everyone from my car salesman (Louie) to Finance (Syra) was great. Their customer service was the best Ive ever seen at any car dealership. Honestly glad I came here. Then I got to meet with Kevin who showed me and explained all the features my new car has. Answered all my questions and made recommendations.
This is not to bash this dealership. I hate writing reviews and Ive never done one. But my experience here was a nightmare. Ive dealt with so many dealerships and this was by far the worst one Ive encountered. Dont get me wrong, most of the workers here were great. There was just a lot of things that went wrong.I bought a vehicle here at the end of April. I am active duty Military and was in a time crunch. I traded in my car because I needed a bigger car since Im getting stationed on the other side of the country in July. It took them awhile to process all the paperwork because there was some admin mistakes the first time I signed papers (not my fault). I had to constantly text or call my sales rep. Mind you, I lived 3 hours away from this dealership. I had to ask for time off which was not easy just to make a deal with these guys. I dont blame the sales rep because he was just doing his job but I think the buying process couldve gone a lot smoother. Another thing I realize, after seeing the documents and talking them down to a fair price, they did not include the complimentary maintenance service that they advertised. At the time I bought the vehicle, there was an ad on the car that says they would include 6 complimentary maintenance service or 2 years, which ever comes first but it was not included at the time I bought the vehicle. I dont know why. Overall, the sales rep that I talked to was super helpful but there was alot of mishaps during the process and it just made things a lot stressful. There was also a lot of things I didnt mention on here but Im just gonna keep that to myself because I dont want anyone or this dealership to look bad.Again, Im not here to bash on this dealership or anyone but I just did not have a good experience with this dealership.
I just bought a Subaru not too long ago. Came in for parts and they were quick and had everything I was looking for. While I was waiting, I got to talking to Kevin. His job is pretty cool, he basically teaches people about their cars after they buy them. Kevin cleared up some questions I had about my car and even showed me a couple features I didnt even know were there. He was very helpful and this guy knows his Subarus.
First time Subaru car owner and it was such a great experience! Thank you to Miguel for all his help and guidance 🙌
Service...It was ready on time.Benito was professional. And the complimentary exterior car wash was nice.
I had taken my Forester to Ocean Subaru with some type of Engine/Transmission issue. It was clear that they were not completely sure what the issue was either and tried running engine diagnostic tests on the vehicle to get a better idea. They tried replacing my spark plugs and said that would fix it. After that didnt work they said it was most likely some dust in the intake causing the sensor to not read properly and charged me for that too. When that didnt work they said I needed an EFI cleaning and that would help. That didnt help either... so then they recommended I try running Chevron gas for 3 tanks and see what that does!!!This went on for months and each time I explained my concerns that they were just trying random things and hoping it would work. I understand they were not certain, but it was costing me a lot of money and time dealing with this issue. On the last visit, they rotated my tires and over tightened the lug nuts which caused the studs to weaken. I only noticed this a couple weeks later I started to feel like one of my wheels was vibrating as I was driving. When I went back to check 3 of my lug nuts had completely sheared off and 1 was barely still holding on. I had to limp to the nearest shop to get them all repaired which took all day. The photo posted is from the other rear wheel which had one bolt shear when the lug nuts were removed to check the rest. The reason I am leaving this review is that I then notified the dealership a month ago and the only reply I received was from Tony saying he will forward the info to the corporate office. No sense of concern or feeling that he cared at all about the issues this has caused or that I almost lost a wheel on the freeway. I have gotten Subaru America involved and that still has not lead to a response from the dealership.I have many other complaints about the lack of service I received during the time my vehicle was in the shop, but I think the point is clear.Update: It took a couple months of trying to communicate with them and Subaru America, but after a change in service managers, Chris was able to help me out and cover some of the costs. I appreciate him stepping in and working with me.
Cant thank the Team at Ocean Subaru enough for all of the help they provided to me. The experience from beginning to purchase was easy and they worked hard to get me a great deal! I will definitely be recommending any family and friends to head here for an exceptional car buying experience.Special thanks to Frank, Omar and Glenn for working their magic! Dont hesitate to reach out to Ocean Subaru for your next vehicle.
I purchased a new Crosstrek from the folks at Ocean Subaru. The car buying process itself was straightforward and easy, and the folks I worked with directly were awesome! David, Abby, and Kaine I sincerely appreciate your help. After buying a car you have an opportunity to come back and learn a little more about the car. It’s called Subaru Love or something or other. Anyways, I came back in and worked with Kevin. He convinced me to start using the cruise control features, and showed me a few not-so-obvious tricks my car can do. Thanks man!
They used tricks to make me sign a deal that costs me 20% more than what my friend paid for the exact same carTry to avoid this place! If you think every dealership is the same then do this:Do research online to find the best deal, print it out and bring to a dealership, if they don’t take the deal, go to a different one,...keep doing that until there’s one that accept it!DO NOT FALL FOR THE 5 YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY unless they charge you like 20% of the regular rate!
I recently purchased a new car and got to attend the get to know your new car service. Which was really nice with my new rocket ship. It has so many features Im glad Kevin sat down with me and explained all the bells and whistles! Definitely my go to car place.
The team here is phenomenal. They helped us get what we wanted and at a fair price. I felt like my salesperson was very attentive to our desires and very accommodating. They rock! Great car, great prices, great service!
Manny was awesome. Answered all our questions and gave us a great test drive experience. We purchased our first Subaru and would totally recommend this dealership and Manny to everyone.
Sticker prices are marked up by thousands, and be prepared to get hit by a sleazy sales manager. You literally need to be prepared to defend yourself if go in to make a purchase here. I made a huge mistake, and hope that others can learn from my hard lesson. I just picked up a Crosstrek for myself a few weeks ago, and am getting a Forrester for my wife today. Guess where I WON’T be getting it from Ocean Subaru. In contrast, Irvine Subaru, which I am about to pick up my wife’s Forrester from, and previously leased from twice, always has fair pricing. Everything that I have looked at now or in the past is priced as expected or better than expected when comparing to the prices on the Subaru website.
I never really write reviews, but the level of frustration I have from this dealership has prompted me to do so. I purchased a car in January and they have failed to provide me the Title for over 6 months. Every time I tried to reach out to get help on this, one of the employees would put me on hold for 10 minutes and then hang up. Everyone I speak to refers me to some employee who happens to not be working that day, they ask me to call back, and the cycle continues. I wouldnt recommend buying a car from here if you expect to get it registered with 6 months of buying it.
Upon purchasing my car. I was told I would receive 100.00 gas card by the sales associate when I completed the training program by Kevin. Turned out that sales associate had been lying to me and other customers. Kevin apologized and gave me a 25.00 gas card. It ended up costing me more than that in gas just to get there when I could have done this at another dealership near my home. I will not be dealing with this dealership in the future.
Awful, tried to charge me over $300 for something that only cost me about 150 somewhere else they also kept my car for over a week without doing anything when this other place got it done in about half an hour. Granted, they did have to wait on the warranty company but they didn’t want to pay it so I got declined probably because they were trying to over charge me so much for everything I needed
DONT BUY FROM OCEAN SABARU !!!!THEY HAVE SUCH BAD REVIEWS THAT THEY HAVE TO TELL THERE OWN REPS TO POST A GOOD REVIEW . YEP I SEE YOU ! WORST PLACE EVER . PRICES END UP GOING 4,000 MORE THAN CAR WAS WORTH DONT BUY ANY WARRANTY UNLESS YOU WANT TO EXPECT AN ADDITIANAL 2,000 TO PAY ! THEY WILL MENTION THEY ARE TRYING TO HELP YOU, NOT TRUE . 🤦🙅
DONT GO TO OCEAN SABARU!!Ocean subaru offers some of there cars cheeper on CAR FAX .Then if car is worth 14,989, yes there will be taxes .. YET A FALSE ADVERTISEMENT HOW UNPROFESSIONAL!!! They said suddenly car has a tracking remote control what before purchasing the car and putting a fake advertisement online you didnt notice the remote and now is almost 2,000 additional from car price mentioned? I post this because I drove almost an hour to get that car, because I was told no lame offer was going to be pitched to me! suddenly wow it added up to 20,000. WHAT AN OFFER ! 🧐none did I accept! supposably they look for clients to be happy with there purchase and they want to help . Well Howw did I get taxed so high. Theres much better services out there dont get scammed by this dealer. DONT GO TO OCEAN SABARU ! If your a straight forward person, like real direct deals, your best value to your money is not at ocean sabaru.
Kevin Nguyen is the best. Showed us how to use all the bells and whistles on our new Forrester. So patient and knowledgeable. Ocean Subaru is lucky to have him.
Best buying experience I had! This guys are great. Specially Manny Vazquez. Such a gentleman, helpful and very detailed. Not pushy at all. Great agent!
Aggressive, pushy, and unprofessional. They will only try to sell their cars to customers as fast as possible. They inflate the car price by adding unneccessary options, beside already added options from manufacturer Subaru, so paying attention on it. If you happen to come to buy a car here, you should be prepared to walk out.
Was looking for specific Subaru. Called them a day ago, spoke with the representative, double checked with them that they have the vehicle and made an appointment to see it next day. Have drove over 30 miles from LA with my family. But when we arrived at the dealership the salesman couldn’t find the car. I was over frustrated because they just simply lied to me! Unprofessional liars!! Don’t trust them!
Outstanding service from Jeffrey in sales in Kaine in finance. Friendly and honest. The entire team worked hard to get me the best deal and the best financing for my Tacoma. I went to several dealerships before this and kept getting the runaround. Do yourself a favor and let these guys help you like they did for me.
After months of online research, I had my mind set on a Subaru. We ended up at this dealership as it was close to home. Although at first, our salesperson was helpful, and showed us different models, things went south quickly when we sat down to deal with numbers. When we sat down with the sales manager to discuss the financial side, it became clear pretty quickly that this is a dealership out to gouge customers. We have had many car buying experiences over the years, and the number presented for the car we decided on was such an insult, we immediately decided we were done, and had NO intention of making any deal here! After leaving we called other local Subaru dealers, and within 15 minutes were able to get a quote for $175 (!?!) LESS per month for the same model! I cant imagine this is the kind of reputation Subaru as a brand wants!? If youre looking to be taken advantage of, and have the WORST car buying experience, then this is the place for you! Needless to say, we opted out for Subaru, and went back to Toyota! I would NEVER recommend this dealership, and will be sharing my thoughts with Subaru corporate.
Purchased my first new car, 2021 Crosstrek Sport about a month ago, amazing experience. I have always been wary of dealerships and avoided it but Ocean Subaru was a really good experience. Brandon Debarros introduced himself right away and was very nice about taking care of us throughout the whole process, I let him know what i wanted, Crosstrek Sport w/ a sunroof and they had 1 on the lot. To make a long story short, I drove away in that car!About 2 weeks later I got a call from Kevin Nguyen, the Love Encore Delivery Specialist, who introduced me to some kinda hidden features the car has and gave me some great tips on the safety features. He was very informative and was able to answer every question I had about the car.All in all a great experience! I would definitely recommend to my family and friends.
Service department was very helpful
The sales person was nice. One issue we had is that they FORCE you to pay an extra $1700 on top of the car price because they decided to add some GPS contraption to the car. No way to opt of of the GPS.We came here because online the 2019 subaru crosstrek was 27000 but when we got there it was 29800. We were told the prices are lower online to get people to come in.I suggest going to Subaru of GlendaleOur brand new 2021 subaru crosstrek was cheaper than the 2019 crosstrek here in Fullerton
Have to start off by saying if it wasnt for our salesperson Brandon we wouldve walked out and gone to a different dealership. Service was pretty bad. My girlfriend and I came in with a 50k bank note to buy a new outback but wanted to check out the used models to see if there was anything worth considering. Right away we were told, to save time Im gonna tell you guys we dont have any base models. This felt like a condescending comment, as if all we would be able to afford was a base model car. Took them over an hour and half from the point we came in for them to run our credit, again as if we were only there to look. Once we were taken to the sales guy Tony, who was condescending and seemed very uninterested in making the sale, he again took a long time to start taking us seriously. Told us the car we wanted was at a dealership and they could have it here in an hour but he never asked them to bring the car over! After probably 30 mins of negotiating the price where he grew noticeably aggressive when I mentioned the invoice price and a rough estimate that was given to us by a salesperson at different dealership. He exclaimed to us we couldnt go anywhere else and get a premium edition for sticker price which is as stupid as it sounds but we ended up purchasing the vehicle because we really wanted to support a local dealership and that guy Brandon was pretty nice and we knew he would be getting some sort of compensation for the sale.So we finalized the deal, fk boy, Tony comes and tells us the other dealership he never ordered the car from has closed their lot and we wouldnt be able to take the car we just signed off 30+k for. Our fault for signing for a car we never saw but I just feel the staff at this dealership couldve done a lot more to be helpful when we were just trying to buy a new car from them.Again shout out to Brandon he was new but he definitely has potential to be their best salesperson.
I went to do my regular maintenance on Saturday afternoon the service department was courteous and helpful I was assisted by Benito. Also during my visit I was greeted by the manger Michelle at the waiting lounge and we discussed my lease options her partner Tony then assisted me with numbers and I was extremely satisfied with the outcome . They made me feel like family, This is the definition of team work .Kaine then assisted me with the paperwork. and Im beyond please with my experience I will forever remain loyal to this dealership and recommend to friends and family.Thank you guys !
I purchased a 2021 Subaru Forester Premium and I am loving my new car! This location was alright. I felt the team that works with the sales people there brush you off a bit especially after purchase. Kevin helped me quite a bit a couple weeks after the sale, he showed me all the bells and whistles my car came with and I learned a lot of new features to my car that I probably wouldnt of known to look for myself.
My wife had a phone cable fall inside the steering column and get stuck. I was under time constraints and they took the wheel off and got it out in less than an hour. They were a big help!
This Subaru dealership is exactly what customer service nightmares are made of!!!!! You would assume that after buying your Subaru at a dealership they would still want you to come back for service right? Wrong!!!!!....not I nor my boyfriend will be returning after repeatedly being lied and ignored about troubles to our car only 6 months in. Beware of what people say you paid for and yet refuse to give you after you paid for it. Lies, lies, liesssssss!!! You wanna know whats cool though? McKenna Subaru on Harbor. Big shout out to Raul at Rally Sports who not only stepped up when we were stuck with car troubles, but kept his word on everything he quoted and promised!!! Thanks Raul!!!
Oil change and regular maintenance…It’s been 2 hours 15 min and I’m still here.
Had a associate message me to have me go in and see an sti I drove from Victorville to come see it and it turned out that it didnt pass inspection, I dont understand why they couldnt messaged me to let me know so I wouldnt take that long drive, very inconsiderate, not only did I waste my time but gas also, very disappointed that a big dealer like this cant be considerate about the buyers
I recently bought a Crosstrek here and it was a fantastic experience. I went to a few different dealerships before this one and all of them were extremely pushy while not actually giving me numbers. I brought my parents with me since it was my first time buying a car and all the other places would only talk to them, even though i was the one buying the car. As soon as i walked into Ocean Subaru i could tell it was going to be a much better experience. Brandon was the great salesman who helped us and i couldnt be happier. He talked to ME, not just my parents, and he broke down the pricing of everything so that i understood what exactly i was buying. He made a huge, scary thing seem like it wasnt such a big thing, because i actually understood what was going on. He was very friendly and helpful, and kept checking in on how we were doing while we were just waiting on finance ( Thank you Kaine!) to be ready for us.Its been 2 weeks since i bought my car and i got a call to come back so their Love Encore representative could help me in figuring out all the bells and whistles of my car. Kevin was such a great help, in showing me everything, many things that i never would have figured out on my own. He made sure i left without any questions and i now feel i know my car much better. He even had a cord for me to use so that he could show me some features that connect to my phone. Overall just a wonderful experience and im so happy i went there. Thank you guys for all your help! 10/10 would go back there
This is the best Subaru dealership in Orange County! The Subaru Orange Coast and Timmons Subaru in Long Beach had some of the worst service and hospitality I have seen in my life. Before visiting Oceans Subaru I looked at their offers online to see what options I had and it matched what the salesman offered me at the dealer. He was very upfront and worked with me, he didn’t try to rip me off. It was stress free and so seamless that I left 45 minutes later with my new car.My purchase included complimentary maintenance for 2 years and each service has been good. The only thing that has bothered me is the length of time I have been asked to wait once I get to the dealership. When you book your service online you have the option of waiting at the dealer or just dropping off the car and I chose to wait. I wish there was a disclaimer or just a note of how long you’ll have to wait so I didn’t think it was safe to assume it wouldn’t be longer than 2 hours.Overall this is a great place to purchase your car and they have great service as well. Highly recommend!
A big shout-out to Kevin Nguyen for being so patient with me and going above and beyond to answer ALL my questions on my brand new Subaru Ascent 2021! Getting to spend a 1 on 1 with a Subaru Specialist is a bonus after buying/leasing a Subaru. Im leasing, so I am hoping I get the same team in the near future to help me out again, including Michelle Valenzuela and Manny Vasquez. Best car shopping experience! Thanks again everyone!Update: 6/19/21My latest interaction with this place was bad. All it took was a Finance Manager lack of customer service to ruin it. She seemed annoyed when I asked her about dent protection....saying shed call me back when she could with more info. Its been 3 days...she must be so busy. I think I was super nice over the phone and that even then it didnt matter much.
Best first experience in buying a car. Thanks Manny Vazquez for helping me out.
WORST PLACE EVER ! DO NOT COME HERE, ITS A TOTAL SCAM ! FALSE ADVERTISING. HORRIBLE
Everyone there was super helpful! I needed my broken lug nut fixed and Jaydrian got me in and out with no problems!
My first time buying a new car was such a great experience! Tyler showed us the car and test drove it with us, his knowledge and fun loving demeanor made it super enjoyable. Jefferey helped with the paperwork and was a great down to earth guy. The general manager Justin was super amazing! He helped us get the car we wanted at the price we can afford and made the process fun!! I walked out with a new car and a huge smile. Thank you guys for making my first time buying a new car an amazing experience!!!
Kevin N. in customer service was so nice and super informative ! Left my appointment feeling way more comfortable with my Forester. Thanks Kevin!
Let me start of by saying I almost gave up on suburu dealerships. I had the absoulte worst experience at suburu pacific in hawthorne, I went and looked at the same outback the 2021 and fell in love with it. I talked to someone and they would not bargain and I felt like he did not want my business. So I left. A week later I was told to go to Ocean suburu of fullerton. Omg was it a complete different experience and for the better. Manny helped me out and April is the easiest person to talk to. Not only did I get a great deal there is no pressure they work with you. I am so greatful for the team at ocean suburu. They are amazing!!!!!
Went today to purchase vehicle, the sales representative David Choi was kind and helpful. After numerous conversations he talked to his manager and negotiated a number to sell the car including taxes, license and registration fees out the door. The number was a little over my budget but manageable, so I left home then to the bank to transfer funds. When i returned, we asked David if price was still the same, he said yes. I was allowed to test drive and check the car i wanted, then went inside to fill out paper work. We asked two more times if the price was still the same, he said yes; then went to verify with manager. Turns out manager changed his mind all of a sudden and did not want to comply with his word. It was a huge disappointment the manager decided to not go through with what he initially agreed to. We had the money to purchase vehicle, he wasted my time. If you are in same situation as i was, ask for that quote on paper and make sure the manager signs. It’s unfortunate to even have to request that but the Manager did not honor his word. I would have understood if the manager committed an error but as we walked out the dealership the manager did not even look at us or offer an apology. David Choi apologized to us when it was not his fault, David was a nice sales representative so if you do decide to choose this dealership, ask for his assistance. Thanks.
The best experience buying a car, no pushy salesman, I highly recommend them.
WARNING: Prices listed online are not accurate, every vehicle on the lot has a 1595$ GPS add on for every vehicle. I learned this once I came in to crunch numbers w the sales manager.Sales representative tells me 10x during the test drive that “we care about our neighbors and are willing to work with you”. He then proceeds to slap me in the face with dealer add ons that I can’t take off the vehicle, and will not budge on prices over a couple hundred dollars. You’re better off going somewhere else.
This place has the best team, Dean in finance, Son the sales manager, and the sales team. I did not end buying the car I was looking at, but even in choosing not to and explaining my reasons they backed my decisions and made my entire process feel completely comfortable. When I do buy a car, this place has my business.
I had a horrible experience here while trying to buy a car. I understand car salesmen do there best to sell you as much stuff as possible but these guys take the cake for misleading and BS pricing. They somehow managed to quietly jack up the total cost of the car by 12k over the sticker price. Luckily we noticed before we signed the final contract and got out of there. They had the nerve to keep calling us saying they can shave 1k or 2k off the price. We went to Timmons Subaru the next day and were able to have a great experience and we purchased a brand new car, without any hassle, at an acceptable total price. I would highly recommend Timmons over these guys any day of the week.
Terrible customer service. Appointments are a waste of time. On the phone theyll tell you 1-2hrs than the day of arrival a full day. Ive got this same response from 2018-2021. My father and I both have Subarus and dealt with this case over and over. Dont waste your time with this nonsense.
I went to subaru in irvine horrible service they didn’t want to help wouldn’t recommend that dealer! On the other hand subaru of OCEAN SUBARU OF FULLERTON was awsome they treat right no matter how to you look they take of you. Great explanationing every question you have! Big thanks to KEVIN! And Everyone was great and helpful thank you. Great 1st time buyer experience! Would definitely come back 🤙
Great car buying experience! Love our salesmam, Frank!
Customer Service over all was good everyone was helpful and negotiable to work with! Overall got the car that pops been wanted and a good deal! So thank you for the help!
Very helpful.
My father and I just bought the ASCENT. great SUV, SERVICE AND MOST OF ALL MIKE BURNS.THANK YOU ALL FOR WHAT YOU DO !!!
Went in with a pre-approval from my bank to go see a 2017 Prius I was very much interested in. Called ahead and set up and appointment with Tyler. The day before my appointment, I called to see if I could come in a day earlier since I had some time cleared up and was very eager to see the car. Since I showed up early Tyler was not there so I was helped by Brandon. He was very nice but had told us he was new and still figuring things out. We were very ready to buy the car at the price listed online, however we really did not want to buy it with the ELO gps(which they put in every car on their lot to upsell you). I have gone to many car dealerships and have had asked if they can remove it and every single one has done so since it is such an easy uninstall. They told me they would not uninstall it and that I would have to pay an additional $1k for it! They even kept trying to get me financed through their own banks even though I had told them multiple times I was pre-approved through my own bank and it was a bank they actually work with. Absolutely no help on their part except to screw me over on price. Tyler called me after the appointment to see what the cheapest I would pay for the ELO (since they clearly have no price actually set on it and only want to see how much they can get out of it). In the end they told me they would be losing money(biggest eye roll ever) if I did not pay for the ELO system.
I went in on saturday to service my car with Benito. While I was there Michelle talked to me about my leasing options her and Tony went other the numbers with me to help me figure out my best options Im super grateful for them imm continue to bring my business here and continue to recommend this place to people. Benito, Michelle,Tony, & Kane were all extremely helpful and greate to work with.
First I was at a used dealer and 2 salespeople were killing me with useless information. I can only think their tactic was to make me buy for it to stop. Then alas I received a call from David at Ocean Subaru and I thanked every deity and said I would be right over leaving misery behind me. David took all the pain and with professionalism got me through the process and out the door as safely, quickly and happy as could be. I apologize forgetting the other young man who helped finalize, yet again refreshingly straight forward. I thank you both and your dealership for making one of the best days of my life. I love my vehicle, still in a little shock.
In short, they are a team of thieves.I purchased a car at the end of December upon trading in my leased vehicle. Over a month later, my lease was still not paid off. At this point, I also had not received any of my new loan documentation. I didn’t even know who the loan was with.(Still short version)At the time of signing, the written document did not reflect what was agreed on prior to paperwork, and required multiple revisions. The final concern was the allowance given for my trade-in was off dramatically, and I was told because “the manager that wrote the deal was gone for the day (11pm)” it was to be corrected the next day. This was told to me by the current desk manager (David). Nothing was done by anyone. Glen, who is titled the General manager steps in and says he is going to “make everything right”. I drop the car off for miscellaneous cosmetic concerns upon purchase, as well as rectify the loan. I get the car back a week later, the major concern I had was unresolved, and still no information on correcting the loan. My trade in allowance was below $2500 what they said they would give me, it’s not rocket science. I still never received any documentation regarding the new loan, and at this point we are on 2 months since purchase. I find out who my loan is through checking my own background info. They inform me that the down payment I gave Ocean Subaru of Fullerton was not applied to the loan. Still awaiting response from Glen after multiple phone calls and emails, then COVID hit. Businesses are back in order, yet its July and I am still patiently waiting for it to be “made right”.
Emailed them along with a handful of other Subaru dealers asking for quotes on Foresters. Tyler from Fullerton is the only person who refused to give a quote, and basically told me to take my business elsewhere. Very rude and glad to not be doing business with them. I would recommend Subaru Orange Coast, they are very easy to work with, and their Google rating reflects that.
Not sure why I even try anymore with this location, I used to love coming here and would drive from pretty far but something has changed in the past year and Im no longer interested in this location or buying another Subaru in the future. I had a tire pop a little over a month ago and I called for a replacement, I had to talk to at least 4 people because apparently nobody was interested in helping me. Once I finally talked to someone who could help me with my tire, they told me it would need to be special ordered and it would take about a week, which I expected. I was told they would give me a callback when the tire came in stock, I never got a call. I called several times to confirm the tire was ordered and appointment was on their radar, I also asked on the phone if they knew of any services to help me possibly tow the car to their location to wait for the tire, or if I could get a rental to use in the meantime and they just told me no. I found it strange because I was provided with a rental several years ago when they needed to keep my car for maintenance for about a week to wait for parts at no cost. Due to the overall attitude and poor treatment/communication I decided to take my car elsewhere to buy a new tire.Roughly 3 weeks ago I made another attempt with this location by booking an appointment for today to get an oil change and general maintenance. I received an email asking me to confirm the appointment a few days ago, which I did. When I pulled up this morning it was pretty clear that they dont care about any of their customers who have made the effort for an appointment. There were two lines for services backed up all the way to the street, I waited a half hour in my car for someone to just come to my window to help me as they have a sign asking you not to get out of the car due to covid guidelines. Once I finally had someone come to my window, I asked about my appointment and the approximate wait time for my services because I had another appointment to get to in 2 hours. He told me it would be we well over 2 hours because they had so many walk ins and told me to come back another day after 4. Weather is nice so people are showing up to get their cars serviced because they feel its safe .... nothing about that location seemed remotely safe to me because they clearly dont care enough to control the number of people coming in / out if they just let in every single walk in, over the people who actually made the effort to book an appointment with health and safety in mind. He offered no other solution to me so I decided to leave and take my business elsewhere. I was already planning on selling my Subaru, and now its pretty clear that Im not interested in ever buying from Subaru when there are plenty of other dealers taking covid guidelines and appointments seriously and with an overall better staff.
What a great experience, I had Armando help me out with choosing the right Subaru for me. He was very knowledgeable and very friendly. He made the whole process easy and bearable. If youre ever in the market for a Subaru this is the place to go, and ask for Armando!
WARNING!!!! So disappointed and frustrated with the experiences I have had with Subaru and this dealership. My car is not in warranty with major damage that Subaru wont explain or help with. I just paid off my car last month and the engine overheated with NO lights going off, oil change was done, oil in the car, no warning signs. All Subaru did was tell me, You are over your warranty, sorry. So company with heart...where is it? I was told Subarus last forever. I planned on giving this car to my kids to drive...it only last 124,000 miles...AND the dealership in Fullerton was so rude, I waited 2 weeks and had to call them to find out what was happening EVERY time, no rental, no help just thrown out on the street. NEVER AGAIN! DONT BUY SUBARU!
Bad sales mgr ... told me trade in value 10 times more than at close of business when I had a check ready (no loan)
Got my dream car, the BRZ at the greatest price thanks to Juin! Who was extremely helpful with me. I recommend this dealership. They can give you the best price if you really want a car. Like a family and will help you all the way with questions! Thank you again Juin for your time, I appreciate the help you went through just to get me my car! :)
Not only a clown but the entire circus!
Sales guys are amazing and will do what they can for you. Service, like the stereotypes go needs work.
The staff is knowledgeable and extremely helpful, especially Christopher Nobody Stranger. He isnt your average car salesman, he takes the time to do more than just sell you a car. Talking about life he seeks to understand your needs and help you find the vehicle that works best for you.
Tony Sandoval and his team of Professionals Service Experts are always on point. We feared that coming from out of town (Vegas, NV) we would not be taken care of as our home dealership from Vegas usually does but that was completely far from the truth. From the moment we got there we were delighted to find that the initial inspection was friendly, thorough, and recommendations werent felt like a sales pitch but a honest friend looking out for our interest. Work was done quickly and to our surprise (given how stringent California is with water and its use) our Forrester got washed and vacuumed (not gonna lie, not the best but still a welcome added plus). The experience was awesome here. I highly recommend the service here at this dealership.
Completely wasted hours of my time on a car they had already sold. The manager David Choi at Ocean Subaru of Fullerton set me up with a test drive for a vehicle they had already sold. So after setting up the test drive, I drive 25 miles to their dealership and then after arriving on time and sitting around in their office for 10-15 minutes (because they seemed to have forgotten I even scheduled the test drive) they said they had sold the car on Saturday. After I hadnt reached out to them about it until the day after on Sunday.Youre better off going elsewhere or if you absolutely have to check them out make sure to call right before you leave so you dont also waste your time; because clearly they dont think much of yours.
The salesperson I worked with at this dealership was sneaky and insulting. I like to do research in order to make an informed decision before I purchase a new car by asking around different dealerships to find the best deals. This dealership was more concerned about selling me a car based on the highest monthly payment I could afford, rather than giving me a price for the car I wanted. When it didnt work out, they assumed that I could not afford to finance the car.Afterwards, I visited the Subaru Santa Ana and bought a NEW car at a price these guys couldnt compete with at all. Go to Orange Coast Subaru instead, they are more professional and will listen to what you want.
I submitted a TrueCar request for a base model 5 door Impreza. Sales manager Tyler told me they had it in stock, and they had a promotion $1000 off msrp. He said he couldnt give me the OTD price over the phone, that I would need to come in. They hounded me for weeks trying to get me in. After I rearranged some stuff to make time to come in, I called them to let them know I was coming in and to have the car ready in order to expedite everything.Long story short they promised to have it ready, and when I got there they didnt have anything remotely resembling the vehicle I wanted. I was warned by salespeople from Timmons and PH that Ocean was notorious for these kind of shenanigans, but I figured they were just being salespeople trying to snag the sale for themselves. In this case, they were right. I advise all to stay away from all dealerships bearing the Ocean name.
Tricked me into buying a wayyyyy overpriced car, compared to the same car with same options my friend got from another dealer in Riverside!Stay away from this dealer!Plus they don’t have a lot of options for you to choose!
Went in for service. Didnt have an appointment just did a walk in. I was in and out within an hour. They took very good care of me, even wash the car for me.
I’ll never go to another Subaru dealership again. Everyone there was incredibly helpful. I worked quite a bit with Michelle and Tony, and all they did everything they could to get me in the car I wanted for the price I wanted. I didn’t have to haggle and I never felt pressured to make a decision. Everyone at this location made the experience really wonderful - which getting a new car should be! Thanks, Subaru Fullerton!!
The reason for the three is I just tried to call the service department and after the phone rang for seven minutes I hung up.The reason I called to give them feedback about the two tires they told me I needed on my last visit about two weeks ago. I went to Costco for my tires and they had two the size I needed but the service man there said I had to buy 4 tires because my Outback was AWD and Subaru insists that all four tires be replaced at the same time. Apparently, all of the makers of AWD vehicles recommend changing all four tires together. The service man apparently didn’t know this or he would have told me.
What great service ☺️. Thorough and in record timing. Very professional. Well be back.
They will tell you anything to get you through the door then completely go back on all of it once you get there.
Scheduled a service appointment with a recall notice I received in the mail for my 2018. Get there, see five guys behind the service desk doing absolutely nothing, waited 20 mins and just left - horrible service! wouldnt recommend this location.
Manny and Jesse were extremely helpful with my car buying experience, best dudes to deal with when buying a Subaru for sure.I would recommend asking for Manny hes very sincere and straight forward to deal with.thanks again guys!
I can only speak for the service department.Service reps are great, whatever happens in the back is a different story. If you own a WRX/STI dont bring it in for service here or find out which technician is working on it. My previous sti had some work done by an older technician with a pony tail and everything was great until the guy that washes the cars left the car on for about 30 minutes without anyone in it while they washed it. I was annoyed but I got over it. All this was confirmed by my hardwired dashcam, I only checked because my fuel gauge was significantly lower than I expected it to be. Several hours of footage were missing and my seat was heavily adjusted.Yesterday, I brought in my Impreza and my WRX for recalls. No issues with the Impreza but when I picked up my WRX I could tell something was off. My seat was moved substantially and there were greasy fingerprints on my dash. Not the end of the world, they probably just had to move it and forgot to wipe it down. I left the dealer and as I got home I reached for my garage remote, it wasnt where it was supposed to be. Thats when I realized my car charger was unplugged, all the things in the area below the radio were removed and left either on the floor or in the back seat positioned as if someone had put them there. Then I realized documents from my glove box were also on the floor and items from the center console had also been removed. Why did they go through my car so much?!?!As I reached for my dashcam to check the footage, I realized they unplugged it. I usually dont mind when service unplugs it as thats not the reason I have it and I get they want privacy but when I checked the footage, one of the last things they say before unplugging it is you wanna go grab some black and milds? .......Ive tried to like this dealership so much. Its so close to me, they rebranded from Renick so I thought they might be better now. I want to be able to take my car in and trust that everything is gonna be done properly but I think this is the last straw.Dont bring your wrx/sti here for service. Just dont.edit: bumped it up a star since at this point, three different people called me back and made me feel better about what happened. I should start off by saying the wrx went in for the airbag recall, which Im told requires removing all the panels mentioned previously. That would explain all my things moved out of place and why theyd adjust my seat so much. Im told going forward they will ask people to remove all their belongings prior to leaving the vehicle. Good call, not sure why they overlooked it. I wouldnt have been upset in the first place if it was all left in one place. Still dont think Ill be coming back.
Went in for a scheduled service, which was done right away. The service writer showed me as to what was checked, everything was good and no additional work needed. I mentioned about the bumper protector coming loose, he said he would have to order a new one to replace the loose one but since it was on when I bought the car, it was under warranty and there would be no extra charge. He would call when it came in so I can schedule a day for installing it at my convenience. Good customer service.
We just purchased a used Honda Odyssey from Ocean Subaru of Fullerton and I cant say enough nice things about my experience. Our salesman Mani was top notch. After we purchased the vehicle I decided we didnt need the extended warranty. When I contacted the dealership they were quick to respond to my request and even drove to Riverside so I could sign the corrected paperwork! I expected it to be a painful process but Mani went out of his way to make sure we were happy with our purchase. I will definately be working with them again.
