Very cool and friendly vibe here for comic book afficianados.

In a year where I needed a hero, I found them all at Comic Book Hideout! In the wasteland of comic book collecting there is today, Funky and Glynnes have fostered my sense of exploration for comics for both contemporary and classic titles. Funky always has my back when it comes to ordering new titles and he also finds time to slip something new in my pulls box that I might find interesting. Its a much more personable experience here, no gate keepers that youre used to encountering at most comic book stores. I cant believe Ive found this oasis of comic book collecting here! I look forward to continue supporting this comic book store in the future and support the community these guys try so hard to build!

Super nice staff well maybe just Jose c . Dude always funny and fun to talk to . me and friends just come to hideout now since a lot of other comic stories in the area don’t even carry anything that isn’t dc or marvel or some veteran in the industry.we found more indie or less know stuff from image, dark horse Or an unknown publisher here then anywhere else . This place is truly a Jem and clearly knows what people wanna read not what they think will sell

Sweetest dog was in the shop. Total lounge lizard, sleeps the day away. Amazing mix of comics, figures, and graphic novels. If your looking for new and back issues this is the place to go. The owner keeps the shop very well stocked and always seems to be adding more variety of items into the place.

Mark funky is a cool dude. he me browse the dollar books,pulled some books from under the table and helped me get some nice copies of a new series. he reads th books and is cool to talk to. great stop!

This place has a great back issue selection that’s always changing. They also have a back area with 1/2 price comics so it’s a great opportunity to pick up a series you’ve not collected before.

I live in Long Beach but work in the city of Orange. I decided to look up nearby comic shops after work and drove over there to check the shop out..........total waste of time! Couldnt find the place even after walking around the block. Tried calling the listed #, no answer....... very disappointed

Will never do business here again. Sold me two books 3 hours ago via phone order at the PRICE THEY TOLD ME, their sticker price. Then they call me 3 hours later and cancel my order. The employee tells me they cant sell me the books because he went on ebay and he cant sell them to me at the price i had already paid. I can still buy the books at a higher price though. never been so disrespected by a company before.

If you’re into paying more than base value for used books this is the place for you! I got charged way more than I should have for used and unsealed books that’s were probably unsanitary because of their condition and I still didn’t get a receipt. The girl working POS (clerk) was super dead in the face which is unprofessional and rude. I’ve been working POS for 4 years and even on my worse days I smile when greeting a customer. Felt I needed a shower after leaving this place with all it’s icky.

This shop is great. They regularly put on events for us geeks and are active in the community. They have a great selection and even some hard to find and rare finds.

My friend and I loved this place. They had all kinds of back issues. The ambiance thrives with original art work from a very creative and talented local artist, Funky Garcia. There is an eclectic mix of various graphic art, writers, and comics. My friend found Battlestar Galactica comics he searched for in many other places. The cashier helped us with enthusiasm, friendliness, and acumen. He knew every part of his inventory. They contribute a great vibe in a great store to the comic book community. Im from out of state. Always like to check out the shops in the area Im staying. This place is what a comic store should be. Staff is super friendly (dont judge my puns). Owner was amazing. She is down to bargain or just socialize on whatever topic you throw at her. If you have a passion for comics, you will love this place and the person that runs it. Looking forward to swinging through the next time Im in California!

Amazing Comic Book Shop!! They make you feel like a part of the family!! I recommend anyone to shop there. It’s very easy to find. The only thing Is the parking is a little tight but well worth the little trouble to park...

The hideout is a excellent place to go buy comics and other things and if your looking for something in particular the employees can order it online with no shipping cost although you still have to pay for the item you asked for. The place also holds up fun events and activities there such as teaching us how to draw our very own comic book even teach music lessons. The manager there is so down to earth who has the most playful pet dog Ive met all in all check out the comic book hideout

The vibe of the place was great, every comic book was organized nicely and they had a great selection, including the Atomic Robo series I love. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and nice. But best of all there was a dog. I have attached a photo of the good girl. 10/10 wish I lived in California to visit this place often for great comics and also the good dog.

Comic Book Hideout is awesome! If you need any books or magic the gathering cards you should come to comic book hideout to get them. They have a lot of back issues and modern releases too. Its just a great little comic shop with the most wonderful staff and a large selection.

The staff is always friendly here and Ive visited every now and then in the past two years. The back issue selection has some quality finds and they even have a section for specific comic authors. You can tell that there is a love for comics. The pick of the week signs have illustrations that are cool. Very modern and local atmosphere.

Really nice comic book shop. Didnt really have models or other geeky stuff. They did not really have magic the gathering area in the back and it looks like they might accommodate game nights. I felt they a larger proportion of older comics versus newer ones.

Was here a few months back. My son is relatively new to comics in general. They were very helpful and patient with him. Very grateful for their great service. Will be coming back again! Today, as a matter of fact! :)

I finally got to check out this store and it was freaking awesome. The selection of comics blew me away. My boyfriend also loved the fact there was gear for dnd. The staff was super helpful, Im definitely going to make this my go to comic store. 😊

Easy to move around in, plenty of back issues to look through. A bit confusing on finding the new issues for the week, they seem to be spread throughout the store so you have to look for the NEW item signs to spot them.However, did enjoy my visit there.

Its a great store, you have a large variety to look through. The staff is friendly and helpful. Only issue is that back issues can be a little more than I like them to be. Still a great store!

It’s ok, place has nice staff, but a Kind of rude owner, could not remember why I was there. She cannot remember who I was, even though I called her and discuss the The young girl that had cancer, and how I was going to stand out there to promote her cause. I think because I stood out there dressed as Captain America and showing people that the character and America, are Great symbols and something to be proud of, yeah even though we have our issues as a country but at the end of the day we all would rather live here then any place else. She did not like that. That is my thought 💭

Never been here before in my life, but I walked in the store during an event. The store was hosting live music and I thought it was cool that there’s a comic book store that does that. I’m sure I’ll come back to this place again.

Walked in and was pretty excited to visit a new comic shop. Well, new to me anyhow... looked around and quickly found a few items and was going to purchase them. Upon browsing and searching for other things I might like, suddenly the horrific smell of vape or incense or something similar quickly took over the previously pleasant smell of the moments prior. I only handled it for about 5 minutes, quickly placed my items back and left without making a purchase. I will not return due to my initial experience. Disappointing!

Shopping for comics is easy when you step inside Comic Book Hideout! The owner Glynnes is a 20+ year veteran of the industry and their was little to nothing I asked her about that she didnt have intimate knowledge of. The comics are displayed neatly and organized with care taken to allow room for easy movement with multiple people in the aisles. The shop also includes a lounge area, outdoor patio, arcade room, and a childrens area dedicated to kids comics.You know your in good hands when you pick up your weekly pull to find something you dont recognize, only to take it home and read it and be blow away how well The Hideout knows your taste in comics.Thanks Guys and Gals, You are Awesomesauce.

My Brain cookie jar is the Best and Michael loved their theater section...super sweet people work there FTR the rating was intended to be 4.9 since they were Awesome but theres always a little bit of room for improvement.
