Large and airy location to get some comics and talk to some knowledgeable people! They have a large collection of current issues, lots of back issues, and some trade paperbacks! All the employees are super nice and helpful; the owner is super great! There is a huge wall of beautiful and rare variant covers!There is a section of the store dedicated to playable classic arcade games, not sure how play/tokens work, but it is really neat to see!

Really cool shop/arcade. Lots of great things for all ages and tons of titles for the nerd in all of us. The lady there was very nice and helpful, she was really sweet to my kiddo. I didn’t catch her name but she was very knowledgeable and cool.Thank you for opening this place.

First time visiting Comic Hero University with my daughter (shes a regular patron). It was a free comic book give away day. There was such a huge assortment! The selection inside was amazing. Super organized. There is an attached arcade. Cool atmosphere. Awesome to see happy people, hear kids excitedly playing video games and pinball. Super nice staff. So glad I stopped in, and look forward to going again.

Comic selections where on point. Had a blast playing pinball with my son. Will visit next week.

Pretty cool. They have a free comic section - bunch of teasers and older rehashes. But, theyre free, and pretty cool. They have an impressive collection of comics. Also, they have old school arcade games - sfa2, pac man, 1st gen mortal Kombat, rare shooter games, etc. Maybe around 15. Also have a few pin ball machines. Something for the kids. Also have a nice collection of model figures in different scales. Didnt see any war hammer game stuff but I saw some other game figuree I was unfamiliar with. You should go if youre in the neighborhood, or when you goes to AMC 10 theaters. Just remember they close around 8p, so arrive a little early if your movie ends after 8p

An abundance of recent releases. Many comics other LCSs dont have or carry. A great set-up and a lot of back issues loaded up in drawers that the shopper is allowed to look thru. Retail prices kept on recent back issues, so if you havent been able to get to.a shop recently, chances are you will find the issues you may have missed. The associate working there was nice and Im sure, very knowledgeable. This shop.needs to.be your go-to shop.

This is one of the best comic stores i have gone too. The customer service is amazing. The owner is the best nice dude always willing to help, and answer questions. I wanted a comic that I didnt realize wasnt something sold in shops but rather special order and he wasnt condescending about it or a jerk. The shop has arcade games which is cool if you want to hang out and not get comics. Lots of other stuff to buy too. Like pops, comic boxes, games.

Fun little place to walk into before or after a movie

Saying that this is one of the best places to get comics would be an understatement, this is absolutely the best place to get comics and even then CERTAIN comics if your looking for something you want that isnt in stock anymore is sometimea youlle be lucky and come around something extremely rare thats being sold, be extremely weary of your wallet though, nothing cheap, but besides that if things couldnt get any better, theres an arcade in the back room of the store with multiple selections of games, perfect for browsing around looking at comic books then to take a break by playing on some of the old arcades they have, but besides that, this is one of the best comic book shops you can come around for around this area, i guess my only gripe with the store would be the person working there himself, he seems really busy with allot of stuff or sometimes he seems like he dosnt want to talk at all, so approach with an open mind if you want to conversate with him, but beside that, i highly recommend this shop to any hardcore comic book goer or if youre just getting into comic books this is a good place to get caught up on and learn more about certain stories, remember to keep youre receipts and tickets for the rafels held there, oh yeah did i mention theres rafels for awesome prizes.

Went with my friend to purchase the new Thor. They had issues 4 and 5. My friend purchased some other new releases. Not a lot of back issues. The cashier answered our questions matter of factly. But, when asked about certain back issues, he casually told us to check out the cabinets under the newer issues. He continued to play games on his phone or mini-gaming system. We were the only customers in there and he did not really want to get up and be bothered with that request. Seemed like a missed opportunity to make a strong connection with brand new customers. Maybe it was social distancing at play. Otherwise, I would give five stars.

Staff did not seem very friendly, wanted to ask various questions about the comics, such as pricing and other. He answered my questions very brief as if not to ask more. The comic book selection was good and they had a lot of cool stuff.

Comic Hero University is definitely one of the go-to comic stores in Orange County. Theyre conveniently located near the freeway, smack-up next to the AMF Fullerton movie theater. Great place to stop by before or after your movie as they have late hours. The store caters to both novice and experienced comic collectors as they carry both regular printings, ratio variants and also process your books for CGC grading. Weve been visiting Comic Hero U since around 2014 at their previous location next to the train station and have never had a bad experience! Always something to purchase there!

This is a great place to visit on your way in or out of a movie......when the theater is open. A ton of comics are always availible and probably the best service in the comics industry. I would highly recommend hitting this place if you in Downtown Fully.

Owner is super friendly and helpful! He really knows his products and will help guide you to the right purchase.He was all masked up and only letting in small numbers of people. Hand sanitizer readily available. Felt clean and safe.They are also doing a Pay it Forward program where you can help Comic Hero U buy comics to be distributed to kids with their free lunch. Such an awesome thing to do in this crazy time!

When it comes to shop owners who really care about their customers and have a passion for what theyre selling, the owner of comic hero has everyone in orange county beat! They usually have items that only true comic book readers would want, and if not hell usually order it for you. One of my favorite comic book stores in California.

Best shop in California. Very nice environment and always feel welcome. Enrique has been pulling my books to years and will continue to do so for me. I once even won the weekly raffle. Bag and boards my books on the spot and has a cool weekly comic strip. I dont collect slabbed books but if I did, Id buy some from these guys. Also play some pinball when your all set getting your books

A small, hidden gem located at the Fullerton Train Station. Look for Comic Posters at the front, left side, facing the main entry to the Station and you cant miss it.As you walk up the stairs and enter this great little comic shop, youll walk right into the main book area thats well organized and laid out for ease of browsing or if youre looking for something specific.Staff is friendly, professional and helpful.My kids and I love the small Arcade area in the back. Has a few old school games and classic pinball style games as well. Reminds me of my childhood days spending hours at the Arcade with Friends.This place is definitely worth a look, if youre a solid comic fan like us or just need to do something fun and interesting while waiting for the train or bus.Check it out.

They have a good selection and variety of comics and are well-stocked for new releases. Pretty small place but good atmosphere. They always post pictures of the week’s new releases on Wednesdays on their social media too

This place is rad. Went to lost levels with the kids and they were closed. Told them sorry and headed home. Saw I lit up sign that said arcade so we thought we would give it a try. We all loved it. The atmosphere was great. No one bothered us we just played arcade games then looked at comic books. It was a good arcade trip after all.

For just opening, this place is stellar. Good selection with enough inventory to deep dive. Great place to spend time shopping before a movie.

Its an AMAZINGLY fun (but tiny) little arcade with half a dozen or so PINBALL games and a few other games like Pacman and space Invaders to make one (like me!) feel like an adolescent again spending all my paper route money to play for hours in the late 1970s!They also have a pretty large collection of comic books to sell! Perfect place to hang out before or after a movie at Fullerton AMC! It is steps away from AMCs box office, (parking lot near Costco) off Orangethorpe and Lemon, again in Fullerton, Ca! 🥰👍❤👍🤗👍🥰👍

Love this place. If they do not have what you are looking for, they will tell you where to find it. The owner helped me one time, gave me major discount and the name of another store when they didnt have 1 of the comics I was looking for. You dont see that everyday 😁

Place is cool, has a lot of good stuff. However, I was extremely disappointed to find that they had removed and used all of the digital codes. This was my first and last time I will spend money at their shop. I can only assume this is something they do when they bag and board their books. Three out of the four books I purchased the codes were out of date, They still should not have been removed. But I was not out anything. One does not expire until 4/1/19, Black Bolt 12, that code had been used as well.

I am not a huge comic collector but I have my fair share in collecting (reading, etc). Its a neat place and I can often find issues that the other local stores dont but when I walk in I feel out of place. The staff memeber that is usually there when I go doesnt even acknowledges me when I make a purchase. Kind of a turn off really. Once I picked up a fair amount of issues there, while I was checking out someone called. I hoped he would put them on hold because the transaction was almost done, instead he puts me on hold for a good 3 mins or so.

DONT SHOP HERE!! SCAMMERS!! Absolutely the worst comic book shop in all the California. I was trying to buy a Comic book online and the dealer was a guy named Enrique. Enrique and I settled on a price ( a large sum even for a slabbed book from this decade)for a book I inquired. In my belief I thought that the amount agreed was the amount I had to pay him but I wrong! The only options he gave me for that price was to pay under the table by wiring him money/cash in store, in which case I am not protected or to cover all his business fees which would have costed upwards $150-200 more. Upon inquiring for more options that can ensure my security he got irritated and refused to sell it to me altogether. Ive called the store and Iv gone back and forth in messages. He kept telling me Im gonna get what I want very rudely and kept pressuring me about selling it to another person. Also this shop lacks in variety as they only contain books within the last three years. Despite me trying to pay Enrique the price we agreed on, he did not keep his end nor care about me as a potential customer which is disappointing because comic book stores are generally friendly and customer oriented. Do yourself a favor and skip these con artist and buy and sell your comics elsewhere.
