I hesitated to give a negative review, but I feel its important to give honest feedback to help others know what to expect. This was such a negative experience for my daughter. She waited a long time and put a lot of thought into how she wanted her hair cut. She made an appointment, took in pictures, and was very clear about the cut and length she wanted. Nick cut her hair and sadly, it looks NOTHING like she requested. It is also very, very short. She wanted shoulder length hair and its basically chin length, with very short mixed in layers on the top of her head. Its one of the worst haircuts Ive ever seen. She could have cut it herself or just gone in to Supercuts and had better results. She was given a very bad chop job that looks like a child did it and she paid $50 for it. This is not only disappointing but incredibly frustrating that she now has super short, very uneven hair and has no choice but to just wait for it to grow back and then get it evened up somewhere else. I definitely do not recommend going here and hope to prevent someone else from ending up with an expensive hair disaster.
I had to style my hair for my graduation photo shoot one weekend and chose to give Ulta a try. Nick styled my hair absolutely beautifully! He’s so kind, patient, and maintained professionalism. He even put up extra bobby pins in my hair to maintain my curls a few hours before the shoot so it wouldn’t get messed up in the humidity. I couldn’t thank him enough and I most definitely will be coming back. Highly recommend!
Got my eyebrows done today by Joanna. Not only did she do a phenomenal job, but she is such a kind soul and I just loved chatting with her. Will definitely be scheduling regular appointments with her!
I got my hair done by Nick in the salon and it turned out wonderful! He took my hair that was super damaged from me dying it myself and made it a super cute, healthy blonde balayage. I could tell that he was taking his time and carefully going strand by strand instead of trying to get me in and out of there as soon as possible. Definitely was a great experience and I look forward to my next appointment!
I searched all over town for a hair stylist and finally decided to give Ulta a shot. Chelsey is awesome and I highly recommend her! She gave me the balayage & haircut of my dreams! I totally trust her with my hair.

Had first time experience at Ulta having both my eyebrows waxed and tinted by Joanna at Brow bar. I was nervous since this would be first time for tint. Joanna gave me beautifully shaped brows and tint was subtle. Next, I had my hair highlighted by Nick, he was friendly and worked with me to get the look I wanted. I walked out looking good! I would highly recommend both Joanna and Nick!
Needed a haircut so I decided to give the Ulta salon a try. Nicholas did a wonderful job!! He gave me exactly what I wanted. He was very knowledgeable and friendly as well. I would highly recommend him!

Weird vibes from the employees. They normally walk right past me without ever saying anything which is not very friendly or welcoming. Like I don’t want to be harassed but you should acknowledge I’m a customer in your store. Other than that, it’s like any other Ulta nothing special about this particular location.

I started with her at different local salon before she began at Ulta and loved her work so much that I had to follow her to the Ulta location. I did not know what to expect as I had never been to Ulta Salon, and have been pleasantly surprised by Ultas products and atmosphere.I cannot say enough good things about Melissa P. I have frizzy semi-curly hair that dries out easily and that I like colored. Melissa P not only helps provide advice on products and treatments (that have been very helpful!) but provides excellent guidance on style, color, and cut based on client needs and preferences. She is the ONLY stylist that has ever been able to style my hair in a way I love with a blowdryer alone without needing a flat iron to calm frizz; although I love when she uses a flat iron to curl my hair (see pictures; I am in love!). Melissa P is helpful, patient, and takes the time to really get to know her clients and make the haircut a relaxing and good experience. She attends trainings and keeps up on new techniques and products, which I appreciate.On a personal note, Melissa P is a wonderful person that I have gotten to know over my 5 years of receiving her service. She is easy to talk to and has made an effort to get to know me as a person and know my lifestyle and my family. If I told her I was anxious about something or was going on a trip, at my next appointment 2 months later she remembers and asks me about it. I went in for a hair appointment with Chanley wanting to completely change my blonde balayaged hair to my natural dark brown color. In my many many hair appointments with other stylists, hearing the phrase “I don’t want to damage your hair” is a red flag meaning my hair will be damaged, I won’t leave with my desired color, and it will take 6 more $$$ sessions to get me halfway to my desired look. So when Chanley explained 2 different options to get to my desired color and recommended the “one that won’t damage my hair”, I was nervous. She assured me by answering all of my questions and fully explaining everything, so I took her recommended route. I could tell she was beyond knowledgeable and my hair turned out EXACTLY how I wanted it. And it’s never looked and felt healthier. This is the first time in so long when I have actually left the salon and not had to explain to people that “it’s not done yet”. I felt so confident after leaving the salon. Not to mention that the service process itself was wonderful. I hope Ulta really appreciates her because I’ve been to many $300+ stylists and haven’t ever been so pleased or had anyone actually get it right the first time like Chanley did. Even though I won’t need a million more full color services, I’ll definitely be back soon for keratin, blowouts, haircuts, glosses, etc, as long as she is behind the chair.

Never shop here online! I ordered 99 dollars worth of products for Black Friday. I checked the address twice before I submitted the order. The website must have glitched because it sent it to my old address. I talked to 3 people through customer service and was told I had to wait for a supervisor. The supervisor finally contacted me and told me there was nothing they could do. So I lost 99 dollars for a mistake their website made. I will never be shopping here ever again and I warn everyone else to be careful while ordering online through their website.

Store manager and an employee stood at the front entrance loudly complaining about another employee who called out of work claiming that she had a fever. I was not near them and the entire store could hear them talking badly about an employee for calling out due to having a fever in the middle of a pandemic.
I came here looking to find a new foundation and to get matched and the manager acted like she had something better to do. She literally handed me a bottle of foundation and told me it was a match. I came back 3 days later hoping for better service and I had to track down an associate for help and she was no better than the manager. Returned everything I bought and will not be back.

Sage is amazing. I wish I had found her sooner. Definitely the best hair cut and style I have gotten in the four years since moving to this area. I am happy to say my search is over! She is worth every dollar.
Lots of people working there, but not very helpful or skilled in the make-up brands they carry and the specifics of a replacement mascara I was looking for on a discontinued item. They do have a lot of options and a great return policy.

Havent had a bad hair cut or color there! No matter who I see, hair care is consistently good across the board. Also, the facials are amazing - would highly recommend Oxana - she is very professional and thorough with evaluating skin for recommending a proper facial regimen, and her facials are incredibly relaxing.
I am a platinum member, I came in because I wanted to buy a palette that I drove from my lunch break for. I was opening the palettes to make sure they werent damaged and a employee was like Dont open these there is a tester. I immediately left because she was super rude. I obviously wasnt wanting to swatch anything, however, I wanted to make sure my product wasnt damaged or used, like most the times it is since they do sell used makeup.

I have curly hair and Im super picky with my hair I dont trust many people with it. I walked in with a messed up hair cut because I trusted the wrong person with my hair and Grace was SUPER AWESOME and fixed it! She also gave me some advise on what products to use and so far its worked great! Grace was super nice and did a AMAZING job with my hair! I would totally recommend her to anyone who has curly hair!
So, I never leave reviews, I just left the salon and Evan was his name that did my hair, if you are a manager or district manager reading this, you need to know that this guy does not know anything about hair or how too do it, he ruined my hair that I have been trying too grow out for three years now, not sure how he got his license actually, Or the job to be honest...I was so mad when I left that place and came home crying, if you are anything like me and it takes you forever to grow your hair out, you know what I mean. I just moved down south from Michigan and was looking for a new PROFESSIONAL place too get my hair done, this place reminds me of a great clips or worse..

To be entirely honest, I have been giving this place many chances to improve. Lack of customer service and product. Almost every sale (big or mostly small) they have hardly any of the product or options. The cheaper the sale the less likely they have It! I walked in today for the lash sale at 10:15 and there were no options on the shelf. Also this store has been reorganizing/ remodelling for months.
I have been to Ulta a few times and never been anything but happy. My last experience i went to the salon and used a coupon I got for a cut, style and highlight. It was 60 dollars, which is awesome for a professional cut and highlight! I got my haircut by Sage. She was awesome. She really listened to what I wanted and came up with something even better than what I imagined. She spend a really long time with me and on my hair. She was so attentive to every detail. She even showed me a really pretty way of styling my thick hair before I left. Go see Sage!

The managers are awesome here. I had an issue with opening a card online and using my discounts, and when I called the Ulta MasterCard company they basically gave me a run around and wrong information that ended up wasting my time. The managers here in store fixed the issues with no problem or complaints. Great service! Thank you!
Getting assistance locating a product was simple. The problem came when I declined to provide my phone number. One which would be used to track my purchases and most likely more. AMBER after a stating that it would allow me to save money and receiving another no sarcastically mumbled well if you dont want to save money. Quit trying to manipulate, connive and coerce my number out of me. I plan on reporting this to corporate. This was my 1st visit and what an impression.

One of my favorite places to shop. But the employee wrongly deducted 109 points from my account!! I returned something that was a gift (meaning it didnt come from something I purchased). Well I asked her after finding that out if it was suppose to come out of my account and she said yes. Well I knew what she did was wrong, so I emailed guest services and that took care of it. They said she wrongly deducted the points and gave it back to me. But other people may not know to do the same. Just sharing so others know if it happens to you too.
I love getting my hair done at Ulta! Tristany did my hair for my wedding and Ive been going back ever since for balayage and cuts. She is always helpful and gives me honest feedback on my hair and ideas that I have for it. Plus while you wait you can browse all of the makeup and hair products in the store!

Approximately1 year ago i went in for a hi-light on my wasit length hair. About 30 min after the lightener was put on my hair i noticed it had already turned WHITE. i mentioned it to the stylist who said oh yea its fine it will be a noce caramel when done. She then did a haif cut on another customer. When she finally washed my hair out and began combing it she paused saying i feel sick to my stomach. She then shred that she had to cut off several inches of my hair sue to it being damaged. By thw time they cut off all te damage (she inflicted) my hair was above my shoulders, completely layeredAlmost a year later, im still struggling to have my hair look presentable each dayBE AWARE that of my expeience if you choose this salon.
I had sage cut my hair and she gave me the best bangs I have ever had. She listened, took her time and did a great job.
Haircut by Gigi was perfect. I have fine straight long hair. Any imperfection shows like crazy. She layers flawlessly and blends well. She made my hair look light at the bottom (a problem I have is I have so much hair, it looks awkward and chunky at bottom if not done properly). She did an amazing job so that I dont have to worry about styling it ever (I am very low maintenance with hair). I can confidently wear my hair down anytime.

I recommended to my mother to head to Ulta because of the great products, but sadly their customer service is not. My mother has brain cancer and thus needed help reading on an item, to see if it was a product for your eyes or face. The sales associate that she asked, decided my mother was a burden and made a loud sigh to her and ignored her question. Your being paid to assist customers. I do not plan to make any further purchases at ulta, along with going out of my way to tell others about this. I work in retail and I know it can be hard sometimes, but you should never be rude to a customer or ignore them. Think about if it were your mother, treat everyone with respect and how you would want to be treated.
***Pixie Cuts***If you are looking for a stylist who knows how to cut short hair...Sage at Ulta is what your looking for. I searched for a while in Gainesville for someone who could do my short hair justice. Sage is great at listening to what you want and actually making happen. Super comfortable environment and affordable as well. The hours are very convenient, which I appreciate with a busy work schedule. Plus you get Ulta points just for using the services too. I highly recommend my newfound stylist Sage and Ulta salon. It’s well worth a trip ladies.

Rude, rude staff. The people at this store are so rude its almost comical. I was literally told to wait a minute by the cashier while she was laughing at her phone, texting. It also took me over 15 minutes to get help finding a product. I would rather pay double for my cosmetics somewhere else than to go back here.

Don’t expect to be greeted because the associates will just stare & won’t ask if you need any help. They do have a great mix of high-end & cheap products. The problem is they don’t have a good handful of prodcuts in stock. Their labels are incorrect; it’ll be one brand on the sign but the products on display will be another. I do wanna say that today there was a small, red-headed girl who was really sweet I think her name was Abbie. The ONLY associate who spoke to me and she was the cashier.

I first attempted to book an appointment online, but was unable to do so with their system. I called the store and spoke to someone who said she would check the schedule and call me back. Several hours passed and I called again. Oxana took my personal information and told me they had a slot available for me at noon the next day. Upon arrival, they had no record of my appointment and had booked another client in my place. I was offered a 20% discount on the least expensive part of the services I had booked to return on another date with a different stylist. I also mentioned that their online booking system is not functional, and they explained that they were aware. Although they did offer a partial discount for inconvenience, I unfortunately dont have more time to invest in the event that the next appointment is not accurately made.
I like Ulta for brands that are not carried by Sephora and I like their point system better. But I find this particular location the most messy and unsanitary Ulta that I have ever been to. The high end makeup displays have spills all over them, and broken testers. And a lot of the time you are lucky if there is even half of the testers available to swatch. Which makes it very hard to choose a perfect shade of foundation. After spending over a $100 with my bag in hand, I asked politely for a small sample of foundation that I was interested in purchasing on my next visit. But I was rudely told that they dont give out samples at ulta. I can understand that some people just want freebies, but I had the proof in my bag that I was a paying and regular customer (platinum). I have encountered a couple of friendly and helpful employees here, but you get good service very rarely. In fact, Ive had some of the worst service of my life at this store. I wish this location would get on the ball. Until they do, Ill do my Ulta shopping online.

I dont know why I ever shop at this store. Every time I have gone in and asked for help finding something, they act as if Im burdening them with my questions. Aside from the staffs lack of enthusiasm and willingness to help, the store is not well stocked. From now on I plan to take my business to Sephora where the staff is eager to help you or to CVS where the products are better stocked.
Prices are kinda high, but you can get coupons and good deals online if you look.
Usually when I first walk in I am greeted, this past visit, I was not acknowledged and all the staff members where talking in one large group. I was walking around the store for at least 10 minutes looking for the Tarte Concealer and was finally approached by someone who seemed to be annoyed that she had to help me. At least 4 staff members walked past during my time of trying to find the product and they didnt even crack a smile at me. I was also disappointed to see that a majority of their products were not stocked or sold out. The testers where all dirty, and when I checked out the cashier didnt ask how I was or if I found everything okay, instead I was asked very promptly DO you have an Ulta Card? I spent way too much money here to be felt as if I wasnt welcomed. Sephora has much better customer service and hospitality. This is will be the last time I shop at this store in person.
The blonde uptight caked on makeup mean girls club is really unprofessional and really had me questioning myself why I even visit these type of establishments. The blonde manager seems bothered when I requested help. The sales team there looks down on you and tries to make you feel unwelcomed.

Pretty shocked with this locations complete lack of customer service, and definitely wont be returning.I walked into the store and wasnt greeted by anyone during the fifteen to twenty minute time period that I walked around the store. This was the first time that I had been into this location, so I wasnt sure exactly how the set up of the store was arranged (or in other words, Im sure I looked like I was a little lost and trying to find something). I passed by at least five different associates walking across nearly the entire span of the store and NOT ONE of them stopped to greet me or ask if I could be helped. One acknowledged my search across the store, but walked past me. This wouldnt have bothered me if the staff had been busy with other customers, but the store wasnt busy at all (maybe a max of five or six other customers) and even so, it takes five seconds to say hello or welcome to the store. Not a good look, especially with two Sephora stores five minutes away at the Oaks Mall.
I love Ulta. But sadly this location (only one in Gainesville) lacks customer service. They looked down on us when we walked in maybe because I just got out of the shower and was wearing 0 makeup. It took the guy and the girl some time to say “welcome” because they were busy staring at us first as if we’re not good enough. Then my husband asked the blonde lady were the “Lanolin” lipbalm was. She looked at him and said what brand? And he said he knows it as Lanolin. Then she looked at her coworker as if my husband was stupid and said “do you know that brand?” And the other girl said yes Lanolips and showed him where it was. Oh I’m sorry mam there’s a HUGE difference between saying “Lanolin” (the only ingredient the balm has) and LanoLips!!! How rude! This sucks because I really like Ulta

I always receive the worst customer service at this particular location. Ive had good experiences at every Ulta location besides the Gainesville one. The girls by the makeup counter make it seem like helping you is a chore. I was prepared to spend $100 on skincare, and the employee was unaccommodating and unfriendly after I asked her two simple questions. She also did not follow sanitary procedures when she finally assisted me. Besides the obvious lack of customer service, the items that I want are always out-of-stock. I have been consistently disappointed with this store.
Love this Ulta on new berry, will go back but I don’t know if they got a new manager or something but the lower priced brands specifically morphe, makeup revolution areas were unstocked, unorganized and just plain a mess. The setting sprays were used with the tops missing and sticky residue all over them and stuff was in the wrong place. Very unorganized, and unclean.

I went here yesterday for the first time, I actually never have been to any ulta before, I just recently heard about them through the YouTube community. I was on the assumption that you could only go to sephora for high end makeup. Im so glad I found this place. It has way more options than sephora. The staff is very helpful and dare I say, not at all snobby like some other unnamed cosmetics stores staff. I felt very welcomed and comfortable asking questions. They were also very knowledgeable as well. Thank you, ulta! They also offer credit cards which you best believe I also got. Their points system is alot better then sephoras as well and thats coming from a sephora rouge member. I wish I had found them sooner!

No one would answer the phone when I called to get help after I visited the store the previous day! I called twice and let it ring at least 20 times each time. Finally called the salon and got a manager through them! Went to this Ulta to try a Clinique Acne Starter Kit for my daughter, some CC cream foundation, and mascara. I also tried to return a Shea moisture product bought at the Fernandina Beach/Yulee FL store. First of all, they couldnt return it because they didnt carry that particular product at that location and then I get home and my daughter informs me that the toner bottle is completely missing from the package. We live 45 minutes away so I called the store to ask for a 10-20% discount to cover the cost of driving back into town to get the product and was informed from the manager on duty that she had no way of doing that. Arent you supposed to take care of customers? Beauty products are not cheap! Check your product package before leaving the store! Also, as I was picking out my new foundation and roaming the store and no one offered help. I had to go and find someone both times that I had questions. I then asked if she could supply us with a few samples to try in exchange for our troubles... they will probably be some cheap lotion or shampoo that we will never want to use or try!! Very disappointed...Guess Ill have to try sephora next time...

AMAZED by Sage @ the salon!! Sage works MAGIC! The BEST w/up to date color techniques. Came in for routine highlight maintenance & left with GORG natural looking beachy blonde beautifulness! My VERY thick hair always took hrs to do but miraculously Sage had me done in 1/2 the time. End result-the best my hair has looked! (had been going to my stylist over 2yrs but couldnt get booked in time for a necessary event- say this bc heck ya I was scared to try someone new...trust me Sage makes you feel at ease, listens, & consults) Sage has a new client for life!
