I have been coming to Winkler Automotive for about a year now and I have to say that the service here is incredible. They have always been courteous and knowledgeable. When you come in, George is always there with a pleasant attitude. Whatever issues you have with your vehicle, they tell you exactly what it is and what other recommendations you may need. James was my service advisor was never pushy, but extremely helpful. If youre looking for a place that truly cares about taking care of their customers and not their customers wallets, then youve found it!

I came in for service because my car was having issues with ABS Breaklights and Check Engine, Winkler Automotive mechanics did a great job looking over my car and were helpful at explaining theins and out of repairs and what must be done. In addition I needed a ride back home, George did his best in getting me a loaner car.I really appreciate everything George did for me and would definitely recommend Winkler Automotive to family and friends needed amechanic.

Car mechanics are a necessary evil. It always feels like they’re trying to squeeze you for more than is necessary. That’s my general sense of repair shops. However, I brought my car to Winkler after the check engine light came on and the engine began to sputter and it was the most pleasant experience I’ve ever had at an auto repair shop.James called me the next day and spent some extra time explaining the issue, the remedy, and cost. He didn’t push me to repair, the exact opposite. He said they could repair it but it was not likely in my best interest. After I decided to scrap my car, James recommend options. The shop even allowed me to leave the car on the lot a few days until the tow picked up the car.These guys went above and beyond. I’ve never considered giving a repair shop 5-stars but Winkler really did take care of me.

George is simply the best mechanic I’ve had the please to work with in more than 40 years. He is polite, accommodating and fun. I trust him completely. There have been many opportunities to recommend unnecessary work but George doesn’t operate that way. He does what needs to done, no more, no less, on time for a fair price.

This place is fantastic.1st time visit 3 days ago. I took my 4Runner there, upon recommendation of my Father. I had a bad window Motor & Regulator. They replace all parts, quickly I might add. Their work was prompt, fair priced, and the quality of workmanship & service was amazing. I was given a complimentary loaner, and I expected the work to take at least 3 days. I had my keys back in hand the next afternoon. The main lobby was exceptionally clean and had all the considerations of Covid in place (Barriers, designated used & unused pens, etc ).5/5 for me, would definitely recommend, and will definitely be coming back for more work. Personally, I dealt with a Gentleman named George there, and he was very precise, polite, and courteous. Explained in depth what the issues were, and how they remedied them. Also, another thing to note, is the way they reach out to you on their Diagnostic feedback. They will contact you soon with a txt/link, that has an amazing format to view & understand. Just moved to the area and needed a new mechanic so I came to google for suggestions. This place had a lot of reviews and they were all great so I went with it. They gentlemen here did not let me down. They went above and beyond with providing an in depth diagnostic of my car, telling me what needs to be fixed now, what needs to be fixed but can wait, as well as what is in excellent condition. They didn’t pressure me into paying for anything extra or unnecessary, they just wanted to make sure that my car was in good condition. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a new mechanic.

Brought my used truck in for a MD State Inspection after buying it in VA. My truck failed the MD Inspection for an item that should have resulted in a failed VA Inspection, even though my truck had a sticker on the windshield stating it passed VA Inspection at the time I drove it off the lot.I worked with George in this particular instance, although I have worked with Dino on occasion and I highly recommend working with either of them. George doubled as my personal therapist as I vented in the lobby (luckily no one else was around to hear my choice words) about feeling duped by the dealership and he definitely deserves a second salary just for listening to me rant. After all was said and done, I went ahead and asked them to go ahead and take care of the repairs because they deserved the business - plus Ive been coming here for about 3 years now and I know they always do their best to look out for me.If youre like me and you prefer to be a life time customer with auto service center, then please give this place a shot. Ive been twice to Winklers. They are very convenient to me; so decided to give them a try. The first time was for a transmission fluid flush/replacement. That was in October. I was a bit leery about them when they tried to claim that my oil was very dirty - the thing is; I had just been to the dealership for an oil change; which is why I wasnt getting an oil change through them. Long story short (after going back to the dealership; even with them going - the oil is fine....); I decided to give Winklers another chance. I needed an oil change and new wipers and when I saw their Spring Special I decided - ok, heres their 2nd chance..... And yep; I will never go back after they tried to claim it was time for another transmission fluid replacement. After 6 months. The guy tried apologizing by saying the recommendations are based on mileage and not the work theyve already done. Which tells me that I simply cannot trust them to not try to slide in duplicate work/charges.

They poured oil all over the engine during an oil change, now my car stinks of burnt oil. As customers we shouldnt have to get oil on hands cleaning up their mess.Its like a waitress handing you a plate and telling you the food is in the kitchen and make sure you clean up afterwards. Then pay me on your way out.Im glad I didnt have them do my brakes.

To find a good / great auto service center is a major search task when one moves into a new area. Decided to give Winkler a go based on the online reviews and did not regret it a bit. Dino is courteous, welcoming and friendly. Things are explained upfront and communication is thorough - via phone, text or email. Their oil change program is good - 4th one is on them after the first 3. The prices are reasonably good compared to the area they serve and the work is top notch and honest - which is important in this field of work.Be sure to make an prior appointment as their might be a wait because they are busy because their work is good, and happy customers keep coming back to them.

They have enough confidence in their business model & delivery of excellence, they can afford to give you advice and let you walk away and take the repair to a competitor. Thats how it feels to me when you interact with them at the counter. There is no pressure to do anything today or to have it done by them (because they have your vehicle in the shop and up on the lift). There is never any pressure...which alone is sufficient to recommend their service.At every routine oil-change, my dealerships service advisers always push me to do more repair & maintenance services, everything is almost always necessary. Its like unless I spend a good $500 to $1k each time, I cant leave in peace. I suspect they are either financially incentivized like commissioned salesmen or have a quota to meet. I had gone to Winkler years ago when I had my 94 Acura Legend and appreciated their great service and attention to detail. This is why I decided to bring my 2016 Accord to them for recommended service from the dealer. Not only were they up front about the cost but also the amount of time it would take. That was greatly appreciated. They even offered either shuttle service or use of one of their loaner vehicles.In terms of customer service, price, and honesty, you can not beat Winkler Automotive!

Staff here is very friendly and professional. They keep you updated on the progress of your repair via text and email. I really liked the email with detailed descriptions and pictures of anything they were fixing. They also provided recommendations for other things that might need to be looked at but no pressure to force you into paying more money for extra work or anything like that. I have received information from them and I was looking for an alternative aside from a Mazda dealership . Refuse to pay 100.00 for a synthetic oil change. I do have free oil changes, but I gave up on driving to Woodbridge as well. So, I was getting coupons in my mailbox from them and after that, decided to give them a try. Went in today and both gentlemen were really engaging with their customers (I was observing) and that is something I look at. Wait time was normal and it went by fast. I have been coming here for oil change and tire rotation so far. I love how they provide you with a check list and if something is not right, they take pictures to show you. The pricing is very reasonable (I have called other mechanics to compare prices for simple maintenance). This all together shows me honesty which I really appreciate. They wont force you to do anything and will discuss and respect your decision. The staff is very nice and will give you updates in person (if youre waiting) and through texts. Even though it takes me about 20 min to get to them, I will highly recommend them and keep coming back because of the wonderful service they provide. Karim, Jin, and the rest of the staff at Winkler did a phenomenal job of taking care of my truck and myself. I had to have some exhaust work done and not only did do a great job with that, they also took care of my front brakes that were wearing pretty thin. They took the time to make sure everything looked good and sounded good. Recently had my 2008 Nissan Titan serviced here and they are amazing! I wish I would have found this place years ago when I moved to the area. Dave is extremely nice, brought my truck in and he showed, literally, me that the previous place I used installed my brakes and tires improperly. They are a little more expensive than a normal shop but it is well worth the customer service and quality you receive. I am impressed as I thought all auto care places were crooked but this place is fair and honest and I recommend this to everyone! Also, its nice that they give a military discount, cant find any other place that does!

I have been a customer for about 10 years now. I have to say that I feel extremely comfortable with the team of technicians there and have always been happy with their response times. The team is knowledgeable on many types of cars, they know their stuff. The prices are fair and the front desk team is great! They also have a shuttle service that can get you to and from when your car is being serviced.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Work is done well and in a timely manner. They overhauled my pickup trucks rear differential and I got it back same day. Absolutely see them for any repairs/maintenance.

They did a bunch of fluid changes and general 90,000 mile service stuff. In addition, there was a steering fluid leak that was addressed. The car is running well now (two days after pickup), so they get good marks on the mechanical stuff.The bonus that you get from Winklers is that they communicate (via text messages) updates on what they are doing and when. They also send photos of things that you should be aware of.So while the mechanical stuff was done as well as anyone else could/should have done, you get some added communication that you dont normally receive. Also, check their website for coupons. I saved $65 using one.

I have been taking my cars to Winklers for many years instead of to the dealership. They always fix the issue first time, every time at a reasonable price. The entire staff from front desk to mechanics are courteous and knowledgeable. When I had a question about my most recent repair, Karim the owner personally handled the situation and could not have been more concerned and helpful. Karim bent over backward to make certain I was completely satisfied. In my 50 years of owning cars, Ive never witnessed this level of customer commitment.

They got me in right away and took the time to do a full diagnosis on my car to ensure that nothing was wrong with it. Was able to make an appointment easily and in a timely manner. Customer service was the best! Most importantly they did a great job fixing my car!

Brake light came on and asked them to check the brake fluid. I thought I had a leak. They said no its just the back brakes. Got them done and now about a month later guess what. Brake light back on and the back rotors are already scored. For what I paid I thought I was going to pros. But I wasted my time and money and still have the same problem. They were nice and the shuttle great but not as thorough as Id hoped. Why not go back and try to get them to fix? Same symptoms as last time so what would be different....unless they really didnt check or did a poor job of checking or a new problem that triggers the same light. All possible but Im moving on. Hopefully you have better luck. Like I said they were nice so maybe they were having a bad day.

First time going here, and very happy with the service. I LOVE how they send text and email updates so you always know where they are in the process of working on your car. Yeah, they are a little pricey, but Ive learned the hard way about going to cheap mechanics and then a week later sitting on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck.

UnprofessionalIn response to your reply, the video doesn’t tell the whole story. You and your staff are very arrogant and that’s obvious by your need to respond to each and every poor rating and blame it on the customer. You do this to every response. You have no right to call a person’s personal phone just because you don’t like your rating. Where were you when I could have used a manager to speak to? You were nowhere to be seen. Customer service isn’t about getting a good rating. It’s about treating the customer with respect while performing the requested service. If you are unable to perform the service, the respect part still applies....at least in my book.

Fast, professional, and reasonably priced. Went in for a flat tire and was out in 30 minutes. Nice lounge area with WiFi, was able to get some work done while I waited.

I discovered Winkler Automotive through the MVAs certified Emission Repair shops. After performing research on various repair shops, I chose Winkler as my first choice. I chose them for their professionalism, cleanliness, and that they offered a loaner.Previously, I took my vehicle to dealership because it was convenient and it was where I originally purchased the vehicle. I had a reoccurring check engine light on that the dealership was unable to fix yet Winkler fixed it! They also repaired my headlight and foglight that the dealership said they fixed but they didnt. They also impressed me with their inspection of my vehicle and sent me a report via text and email of the status of my vehicle. They sent photos of items that required immediate attention. The photos help explain why the repairs need to done.The repair cost is similar to a dealership, but Winkler has earned my business for their professionalism, integrity, and they fixed my vehicle.I may have to travel a little further, but I dont have time to worry about whether my vehicle is repaired correctly. I will definitely return as needed.

I asked for a 100% synthetic oil change and the guy went on break and told his coworker synthetic blend instead so they have me the regular oil change. Their computer system was down— it happens, no problems— and told me they would email me the receipt. It’s been a week and I have yet to receive it yet I did receive a “review us” email.

They were able to take my vehicle in for a diagnosis and repair it on the same day. Though car repairs are never cheap, they gave me a fair price for the work. I recently started sending my cars over to Winkler after an incident w/ my last mechanic shop. Im glad the mishap occurred; otherwise I would not have found Tyler, Dino, and Karim. We have received top notch customer service and the repair work on been on the mark. Have had bearings replaced, sway bar links repaired, 4-wheel alignment, and oil change to date. Couldnt be happier with the fair and quality work. Free loaner is an added plus. Give these guys a shot. You wont regret it!
