This is a very below average office supply store. The store itself is falling into decay, and their products are very expensive. The store is very quiet at most times, which is a sharp contrast to the nearby Staples store that is always packed. I was not surprised to see that the store is going to close in about a month from now. There are a few nice employees, however most are not that helpful. The prices show up wrong on the register almost every time I buy something. I do like how you can recycle ink and toner cartridges, but you need to make a $10 purchase every month to receive the credit, which is far worse than Staples program. The products sold here have also always seemed to be very outdated. They have multiple aisles for landline telephones, as well as many other products that I doubt are sold much. Their prices for ink cartridges at the store are highly marked up compared to Staples and Amazon. I have visited a few times during the closing sale, and some of the products that say 70% off on the shelf only show up as 30% off at the register. I do not plan to return to this location. I feel like that if they had remodeled the store, and reviewed their product offerings a few years ago, that maybe they wouldnt be closing.
I bought all of my office supplies from them and their staff was friendly in my visits, however, at my last visit to purchase my standing desk, I received the worse customer service, and when I requested to see the manager I learned the person who was providing assistant was in fact the manager himself, he was exceptionally rude and showed inpatient when I asked questions regarding my purchase. Very unpleasant customer experience due to the manager. However, they have really good selection of goods and great quality, if you get hooked up with the right helper it can be a wonderful experience!
The staff at this Office Depot location is incredible. I came in twice now, trying to print out pictures of my paintings and it took a long time for me to figure it out. Lenny helped me most of the time and was incredibly patient. He did as many test prints as I wanted until I was satisfied with the final product. I am over the top happy with the service I received here! Thank you so much!
A quiet store. I was able to get my papers shredded here. I was surprised at how dirty the store was. Not just dirty, it was filthy. Gentleman at the cash register was nice.
Worst service ever! I ordered online this morning and received an email saying the order is ready for pick up. The guy at the cashier counter only asked for my first name, wondered around for 30 seconds, and came back to tell me he can’t find my order. He started walking away. I had called him back and asked if he intends to help me find the order at all. He then just randomly gave me a bag without verifying the items, name, or order #. HE GAVE ME SOMEONE ELSE’S ORDER!!! I told him that it’s the wrong order. He just stared at me blankly. I asked him again what he intends to do to find my order. It’s only until then he asked for more details of my order and started to look for it more seriously. Horrible service!!!
Store is expensive. Amy is the go-to person there. Stay away from Lenny, the new copy center manager. Unfriendly, incompetent, angry. Has no idea how to handle customers. New store mgr. hired Lenny, sad to see this store run so poorly after 20 years shopping there.
If i could give 0 stars i would...I have used them many times for easy convenience printing...Every time i pick up they are unorganized and never find my order. The last 2 times i went in they used someone else order and simply printed my order on the other side. That would be fine for environmental purposes. However, when there are alcohol pictures on the back of my order that is intended for Kindergartners, it is unacceptable! I called to complain after the second time of this happening and they said they would take care of this and reprint. I picked up the order and glanced at it to make sure there was no print on the back. I took home to organize and was missing half of my order. JOSE (manager) simply could care less about resolving any issues. When i called angry the first time his tone comes off as someone who could give a ---- about anything.. When i called for the last issue, he simply said nothing and asked me to come in for a 3rd time...Avoid this location for printing. The place is empty and you would think there is plenty of time to do a good job... Wrong.
I visited the Office Depot at 15790 Shady Grove Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20877 to make a small purchase. It was my first visit to this store. The Sales Advisor, Nadia, was very rude and apparently suspicious of me.I felt more like a criminal suspect than a customer while she rang up my purchase.Very little eye contact and warmth.Nadia told me coldly that I wasnt standing in the right place (I was far from her and the customer in front of me due to Social Distancing so that wasnt the issue). When it was my turn she told me to present an ID and the credit card I was to use to make the purchase. She told me to leave them out so she could inspect them. This interaction felt weird. She said, phone number! so I gave her my phone number.Nadia said, Its Invalid which confused me until she said it wasnt in the system. She meant I wasnt in Office Depots loyalty program although telling me my phone number was invalid was a very odd and unfriendly way of telling me that.Nadia received a phone call in the middle of the transaction and it sounded like it may have been from another customer based on how she was talking. The problem with that for me was once she answered her phone she didnt say word to me after that. No thanks or bye or anything. No eye contact either.Being treated like a criminal at this Office Depot may have been based on my ethnicity...I really dont know. What I do know is that when I shop at the Office Depot at 11130 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20904 they treat me very friendly. Of course, that store probably sees a more diverse clientele...again I dont know. What is Office Depots policy regarding customers presenting identification and why have I never been asked to prove my identity at any other Office Depot store?UPDATE: Ive addressed this with Office Depot Corporate. I thank them for reaching out.UPDATE Part 2: After an initial reaching out Ive heard nothing from Office Depot Corporate. Theyve dropped this issue unresolved.
A TOTAL DISASTER. DID NOT GET THE $50 CREDIT FOR OPENING AN ACCOUNT OR THE AWARDS PROMISED FOR MAKING THE PURCHASE. GOT THE RUN-AROUND 3 TIMES ON THE PHONE TRANSFERRING FROM ACCOUNT SERVICE TO REWARDS ON 3 DIFFERENT CALLS.SAME BUSH FILE CABINET IS A BETTER PRICE ON AMAZON!Wanted to open an account to buy 2 items and take advantage of $50 credit. Went to store and was told on item was on-line only. Tried to open an account online and could not connect, talked to customer service. They said new accounts can be opened in store only. Went back to store. Only 2 cash registers worked. Clerk wasnt certain how to open an account. Finally received a 1-day pass to shop IN-STORE only. No sales clerks. Finally a tech guy told me I couldnt order one item from the store, but he did order the second. I asked him to try the other one and it worked. was told one would arrive assembled. He gave me 2 dates for the furniture to arrive. One was correct. The other date was a week off. I stayed home all day waiting for the assembled piece to arrive which it did...flat in a box needing assembly. The store is understaffed with uninformed people hired a minute ago. My discount was consumed by the $100 I paid to have the furniture assembled. I am waiting to see if the discount is even applied to my charge.I wish I could give a Minus 10 Stars!
Nothing but great things to say about this place. Eric in Print was extremely efficient and friendly. Store was clean. Staff attentive. Good parking.
Oh, my god. The selection here is amazing. Great stop for a stationary fan!
I have gone to Office Depot (Shady Grove Road) several times because it is on my way home from work and is convenient. I have never had a satisfying experience. Yesterday was the “straw that broke the camel’s back” and I will never return there again. I took 5 copies of my final thesis to have spiral bound. There were 5 customers in the store and I had to wait approximately 30 minutes! The representative asked for my cell # to manage the wait time. She told me the cost would be $75 each! Can you imagine that??? They simply had to spiral bind them. I asked twice because I thought she must had made a mistake – nope, $75 each! So, I took them to Staples and the cost was $5.75 each. The Depot staff seem nice enough, but there seems to be no concept of customer service – and no interest. Rather, they worship unceasingly, night and day at the altar of the patron saint of mediocrity!
If you really do not have much time to get your work done then this is The RIGHT place for you. Plenty of parking space is easily available.Staff is also very helpful to their customers.
Quick friendly service. I bought a printer. I paid too much after checking my receipt. They couldnt locate the salesman, but found the mistake and took care of it.
Good store. Staff is friendly and will try to help you. Copy center gives good service.
Visited this store after over 20 years. Its no more the same. Seems whole lot less activity and largely empty. The aisles have been removed. There is no more cashier checkouts like back in the 90s. Unfortunately it seems to be on the decline. Back in 98 and 99 it was packed all the time. Unsure how much longer it will last. I was actually surprised it still exists. The chicken out nearby also is no more. With time so much changes
On 12/30 I bought an AmazonBasics leather desk chair from this location. Unfortunately, the structure that secured the arms failed because of faulty design. But Mark at this location helped me out by switching it out for another chair! I’m really impressed with his responsiveness and appreciate his service.
Sent in a poster to get printed Friday morning through their website and estimated date to be done was Saturday by 7:00p. Called later Friday to confirm they got it okay and to ensure it’ll be ready by Saturday. Called Saturday to see if poster was done and still had not gotten to it, said it would be done that evening. Told my sister to go Sunday to pick it up and it still was not done. She had to wait about 20 minutes for it to get printed. Poster looks good but would have been annoyed if I went in person and it still wasn’t completed.
An excellent store with great prices and a wide range of selection. Great people too!
Huge store. Copy center is popular. Friendly staff very helpful with finding things. Prices are good if you have coupons.
Cranky lady is gonna be snappy and rude to you, be advised.
Store is closing in a few days, but has looked like it was going out of business long before the employees were notified..
To be quick, the sales at this location on products such as technology and print production are of better quality and better price than most I can find at local locations of simular products. Staff at this location are very helpful, especially if asked and are very professional at what they do, most can provide detail information about what they have in store which tends to be the most helpful. I only hope they could better support from the rest of the company, which seems to be the only thing that limits their capability.
I had the pleasure to work with Brandon Luis and the other associate (Seth?) that was working that day in the Copying Center. I came in needing color copies for event invitations and vertical half page flyers for the company I work for. These gentleman went out of their way to make sure I got the quality prints, placement, visual appeal, and cutting to make this project turn out very professional and the way I wanted it to. They helped me make sure I got my MBX discount savings for the printing cost, and let me come back to pick up the prints the next day instead of waiting for them to be completed, so I could go about my business schedule for the day. I really appreciate the extra effort of customer service, care, and professionalism I received, and have been referring their services to other business professionals in my network. In fact, the Director of MBX posted my testimony of this experience with Office Depot on Social Media sites and highlighted it in several MBX meetings. Office Depot Copying Center is a valuable and economic resource for any business, or company to utilize- I highly recommend them because they are professional, have excellent quality and care of the printed material, and the BEST customer service!
I had an extremely positive experience. Evan was most helpful in assisting me in the correct selection of ink for my Epson printer. He even showed me how to replace the cartridge. I will definitely shop at this store again.
Wow, do they even sell that much here? I stopped in to see if they had any interesting merchandise for the holiday season on sale. I discovered that Office Depot doesnt sell much of anything apparently. Some furniture and some basic office supplies. I think that if I was ever in need of anything I would like to go to Staples rather than this establishment. To be fair, maybe I went there when there was some sort of inventory. Perhaps I am being too critical, its just that its a big store and the middle of the store was pretty much empty.
Brandon and Kristian at Store 350 provided stellar customer service, exhibited patience and guided me through the ordering process with expertise and care. I signed up for an Office Depot Business Account in July; however, I started comparing prices with other printing partners after my experience with the Office Depot business account rep. Brandon and Kristian are the reason I chose to stay with Office Depot. In early July, I had a last minute change from a new client for a presentation happening in 48 hours. I really wanted to impress this client since it was the first time my company would host the event. My Office Depot business account rep could not help me get the binders printed nor shipped. He suggested I call local stores to see who could do it. I was really disappointed the rep didnt offer to help further among other things. I pounded the phones to find a local store with capacity to fill the order. After several calls, I tried Store 350. Brandon responded to my call promptly and understood the urgency of my request. He took great care to calm me and to walk me through the ordering process. For efficiency, he asked me to email my PDF files directly since I had never used the online system and time was short. He quickly worked up a draft and even caught a mistake I didnt see. Because of the quick turnaround, the binders could not be shipped on time. The client was 2 hours closer than me to Store 350 and wanted to pick up the binders for their peace of mind. I frantically called the store again and Kristian took my call. I explained my situation to him and my need to pay the bill prior to the clients arrival. I didnt want the client to see what I was spending nor wanted to receive an awkward call from the client if they were asked to settle the bill before leaving. Kristian literally invested over 40 minutes on the phone with me as he figured out how to duplicate the order online, cancel the in-store order, update the pick-up information, get the bill squared, and teach me how to do it myself prior to the clients arrival. When I needed to reorder later that month, Brandon remembered me and provided the same level of service. Neither Brandon nor Kristian needed to invest so much time and care into my situation. Because of their heroic efforts and the sense of calm they gave me in such an undesirable, stressful circumstance, I was compelled to write a review. I hope the Store Manager, Wil, sees this post and rewards these wonderful employees. (BTW, the presentation went well and the client signed on with me!)
If i could give 0 stars i would. Looking for a polarized power cord, asked 3 employees, they all point to an area. I look dont see them ask again...oh we must not have them then...really!? Can somebody walk with me to the aisle and look where they are supposed to be??? I finally had to walk out before i got upset.
My wife purchased a chair at this store, and it was too big to fit into her car so they took all the parts out of the box, she drove home with it, we assembled it just fine. 3 days later they deliver the same chair to our home when we werent home and leave it at our door. We already had the chair and didnt ask for another one. We called the store to have them pick it up and spoke to Jose, a manager. He asked if we could bring the chair back to the store, which is ridiculous. It is NOT our responsibility to do that! The delivery service made a mistake and it is NOT our job to correct it.Later in the conversation, he said it would be picked up 4 days later with a time window of 8am-5pm, which is ridiculous! A 9 hour window to pick up a chair we didnt ask for? Worst of all, he laughed and chuckled at my wife and was extremely unprofessional.
Great place although Im disappointed in how stingy Office Depot---the corporation--is with how their coupons are used. $15 off of $50 but it doesnt apply to purchasing a UPS? Essentially its a surge protector with a battery. I would understand if I was trying to buy a tablet, computer, or something along those lines. Not a UPS.
Store was well stocked and clean. I would like to see a better selection of gift cards. The person at the checkout counter was terrible. She grunted most of her answers and sighed loudly when I asked a question.
Going out of business; a lot of merchandise is available.
Great customer service at this location, they helped me resolve an issue I had with an exchange very quickly, beware if you call their customer service number they do not operate efficiently, at this location they are great thou!! 5 stars!!
I liked this location even though it was an 1hr drive the workers were very helpful, as soon as I walked through the door they welcomed me and told me to let them know if I need help the only bad thing I could say was a woman cashier over bagged my stuff and my stuff came out of the bag she could have packed it less or doubled my bag
Dude in the business solutions station was rude in the phone to me. He mustve had a bad day, but leave your problems at the door.
Thanks a million to Scott in printing department for your help. He is so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I came in to print a puzzle with my daughter and I had a wicked headache. You got us in and out. You are a rockstar🏅🏆
Ordering business cards here is akin to spending time in the seventh ring of hell. Avoid at all costs.
Awesome place, I think its been remodeled because it felt bigger, Im a huge fan of their pen section
They should close that store because are terrible customers service
I went to office depot because I want to print some docs the employee did not helped me. I also asked him I never used this printer before and he said I need to use it that why you never use it. Then I just walk away. He not supposed to tell customer like this. His name is Eric. Its such a bad service ever.
I came in to get copies made of a program for my wedding ceremony. I was expecting it to be a big hassle but Joey in the copy dept. totally made my day! He was friendly, efficient, and gave me a discount with an in-store coupon I didnt know I could use!
They didnt have enough of the office furniture on display. But that is fine, was able to find a great deal for office desk that usually being sold for almost double the amount.
Scott in the shipping and printing section is wonderful, he is so helpful and very nice. I would highly recommend this location because of him.
This store should be shut down! I found the stapler I wanted and pulled it off the hook. It clearly was priced at $9.99. At the register it rang up as $12.99. The clerk walked over with me where I showed him the multiple stapler kits there. He said those idiots, I guess referring to his stocking crew. He refused to give the stapler at the $9.99. I then asked for a manager in which he asked me are you serious ? He reluctantly called and the manager told him I would have to wait. I told the clerk that I will go to Staples instead
Good variety of office supplies. Friendly associates. Little pricey but you can find bargains.
The perfect place to find everything for your office and school. Good prices and nice staff.
Nice place......... love the ppl
Looks like its going out of buisness. Sparse inventory. But they had what we needed on this trip.
Good parking, easy to find things you need. Good place to drop off UPS and USPS.
The chair I bought had a missing wheel. I had to call twice to get this resolved but now it works. Make sure you check that all the parts are in the box before leaving.
Twice the stuff staples has to offer, and sometimes cheaper too. The cashier was very knowledgeable.
Helpful staff, not too busy on a Sunday afternoon
This was the worst printing place I have ever been too. I placed an order and it took 2 months for then to tell me they disnt know where the order went. I went three times and every time I went they told me it would take three more business days, bUT it would never show up.
It has all youd expect from an office supply store, with friendly staff and surprisingly effective organization.
The clerk was helpful, although Office Depot did not have the product I was looking for in stock... Most of all, the store was a depressing ghost town at 5:00 PM on a Monday.
Horrible service at the copy center. Literally 4 people working and no one even acknowledged me for 10 minutes. They were talking, on the phone, and one just took her break and walked away when I tried to ask for help. They always have a nice finished product, but getting there is a struggle.
Got a great deal on a computer desk and printer stand
Super friendly and helpful staff. Helped me out the whole time.
Great customer service and print services.
Business Center staff was helpful.
Might be little short of staff, but the tore is very good. Just sometime you will need to look for things by yourself.
Worst attitude, service, prices, placements and restrooms. They just dont give a frack about you.
Very nice and helpful employees.
These stores are becoming museums... friendly service though...
The kid supposed to be working the register took a 3 minute phone call with customers in line. When his manager told him to get off the phone, he talked back instead of getting off the call. He should have been fired immediately. P.S. Millinials Suck!
Could not find anyone to ask a question. Nobody working in the aisles. Not enough cashiers. Poor service.
Very spacious and fast service
Good place to find phone & computer cables, memory, mice, etc.
Its just a regular office depot. The store is large but feels very empty, as though they might be closing in the foreseeable future.
It has an decent selection for a store chain
Ordered online for pick up about 3 hours ago. Website says “pick up in an hour” went to the store they have no idea what’s going on or what the order was. The point of pick up is to save time but I was standing inside the store for 30 minutes waiting for them to figure out what happened with my order. They took the payment though.
Easy way to buy.
Good office supply store.
I like the actual store. However, the employees were not aware of promotions going on. They were also not aware of some of their products.
Great fantastic service. This is my man shipping spot now.
The bathroom was disgusting and there was only a quarter of a roll of TP for three womens stalls. Also!! NO SOAP!!!How do the female employees wash their hands if there isnt any soap?
A business going the way of radio shack but this location holds up okay. Dont expect much from staff
They have the office essentials, not always the best products or prices.
Good for office supplies.
Easy to park, great selections.
They had what I needed.
Has lots of office stuff.... Some are expensive...
Limited inventory, long way to drive for little savings
It has supplies, but this office depot is almost baron.
I found everything that I need it in store
Save. Price match as needed.
A lot of clearance furniture in this store!
Helpful staff!
Hard to get help.
Few things!!
