A Nepali man working the counter refused to acknowledge me as I tried to buy something at his store. While my wife was with me, who is white passing and Im black, was met with friendly conversation and acknowledgement. I dont know what prompted this but it was very obvious he would only speak to her and not me.If youre black be careful going into this store because you may not be treated with respect.
