Thought I needed a diagnostic on my catalytic converter and O2 sensor - the folks at Boise muffler completed a full inspection and welded together a fractured part for $20 TOTAL. I’ll definitely be returning for any other services I need, as I know I can rely on them for their honesty, attention to detail, and going the extra mile

Was referred to Boise muffler for a sunroof fix. They do some of these, but mine was not one they could fix. They referred me to someone for replacement. Got my sunroof to close and didnt charge me a cent. Very honest, I would definitely go back.

They also raise there labor price the labor price is more than the vehicle worth also they trick me in paying a diagnosis fee which is more than the parts I need for my car. 1200 for see why my car did start. I know why it did start and told them they when to switching timing belts water,pumps, starter. All type of stuff which raise my bill instead of hooking my car to them computer to diagnose my car they tour it apart without my permission then as me if dont wont they to fix it they going to charge me diagnosis fee of 275 dollarcrazy my part to fix my vehicle in was 300 dollar labor was 750 dollar. I end up telling them to keep the car cause it cost more to fix it then what I paid for it.and they would let me get my personal stuff out the car endless Ive paid them or hand over my title. Ive lost my job during this epidemic covid that didnt care and rip me off my car. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND NOBODY DO BUSSINESS WITH THIS PLACE.

A very reliable place to take your vehicle. Our car had some issues in August and they fixed it. They told us if there are any more issues, we will fix it up. And a few weeks ago we noticed the car leaking, took it back in this week and they fixed it again. They totally guarantee there work. They are honest and efficient.

My favorite mechanic is Boise Muffler Auto Repair! Their service is down to earth and professional.Over the years there have been times where I bring in estimates from other shops and they told me that I didnt need it or advise what other options I could do. There have been times that I brought my car in questioning a noise or performance of some sort and their assessment was advising me that its not a safety or critical item so I can either repair or wait.I never used a mechanic before where I have walked away not paying anything because no work needs to be performed. I live in Alabama and had an issue with my ABS system. All the people at Boise Muffler treated me super, gave me a quote and was able to get my car in the following day. As per the computer - in needed a wheel bearing. The mechanic pulled the bearing, there was nothing wrong with it other than extremely dirty. They cleaned it, put it back together, road tested it. Saved me about $150.If you have problems with your car -Boise Muffler is the place to go.

Had my rear end redone at Boise Muffler. It started leaking (not their fault it was a bad seal from the manufacturer) They were very quick to get me back in the shop ASAP and they backed up their work by replacing the seal and also installing new brakes since the fluid had leaked on my brakes. Great Service and backing of work.

They could have truly taken me for a ride but were honest and because of that Ill be a customer for life!I brought my pickup in for what I swore up and down was a transmission problem and after a speedy diagnosis they called me back and informed me that all I needed was new spark plugs!Im convinced that just about any other shop would have just gone along with what I was saying and done a bunch of work that didnt need to happen!Kuddos Boise Muffler! Very helpful. I was unsuccessful in removing the bolts to replace my direct fit catalytic converter, but Boise Muffler was able to get the job done. They were upfront about how much it would cost and stuck to their quote. Quick service.

I love everyone they are always so nice and friendly. They treat your car as if its their own, with respect. They dont try and yank your chain like most places. They get the job done quick and right. I wouldnt recommend any other muffler shop.

Knowledgeable and helpful over the phone when my chk engine light was on. Brought my can in and was told light was on because front motor mount broken. $600 motor mount was fixed. A WK later chk engine light on again! Have had other work done elsewhere since

WOW!! Boise Muffler has been a great experience. I was able to bring my Mercury Mariner in to them for a third opinion, after it had quit working relatively suddenly. A mechanic (that I had rebuild my transmission a few months ago) recommended 2 new catalytic converters, which would have cost a significant amount of money (~$2,300). I took the car to Boise Muffler on Fairview and they disagreed with the assessment. Not only were they able to perform more specific tests, but they offer FREE diagnostic testing. When the Fairview store felt that the car was beyond their expertise, they took the car to the store on 36th for me...for free also. Rod worked on the car ALL day and was able to offer his expert opinion...which he also shared with the previous transmission mechanic himself and then transferred the vehicle back to them to fix the transmission (as it was still under warranty). Again, this was all for free.We would recommend either shops to anyone for any vehicle issues. It is difficult to find any mechanic that you can trust. This company, under the guidance of Rod, is one such place. Go get their opinion---you wont regret it!
