I was very upset when my money wasn’t accepted and I couldn’t purchase what I needed. I shouldn’t of said place sucks because it really doesn’t. I have always had great service there. They really are a five star business but my experience at that time was 1 star.

I had two keys copied, one copper, one silver. The guy made both keys silver. Didnt ask if I want them the same or different and didnt take it upon himself to make them different, since I did give him two different color keys.

Ptices are a lil above avg, but they got what you need most of the time with helpful knowledgeable workers

There is a young woman that works there, I don’t know her name but she is petite with dark hair and wears glasses...she is fabulous! Smart and more knowledgeable than anyone working at nearby hardware stores. It’s not the closest store to my home but I will continue to shop there because I know that if I have questions there is a true helpful hardware specialist working there.

The lady who helped me was awesome. Her name is Cathy and she knows her stuff!! I was directed to the aisle I needed and was helped to pick exactly what I needed. The cashier was friendly and smiling, not something you see everyday. I will be back.

The staff are helpful and selection is pretty good for a small store. It’s hard to tell who is a customer and who is working the place. Unless that is how they’re trying to catch people stealing but that makes us regular folks not want to shop. The problem is that you can’t find the staff when their all bundled up in winter coats and hats! When you look at how high the prices are here you would think the owner could afford to heat the place!!!! MANAGAMENT FIX THIS!!! What a mess!!!

My family and I have been going there for years the employees are nice, But when I had to exchange something and deal with the owner she was very rude and disrespectful the way she talked to me was nasty, very uninviting, I hope she doesnt treat everyone else that way. Great Ace for sure, staff & all!COVID Response:Staff takes all percuations. Customers, not so much. Signage clearly states for the safety of all staff & customers masks requested. You selfish A holes that ignore it can go F yourselves. Masks are for the protection of others! You are the problem! You are why it spreads!

All of the staff members were very polite. And the service that was provided was very exceptional. It was very clean. And I had no problem finding anything. Staff members asked if i had any questions or concerns. I was very pleased by the services provided at Ace hardware in Garden city Michigan.

Love to shop here. The staff is knowledgeable about all aspects of store stock. Cash register keeps a record of your purchases so if you have an Ace Reward card but didnt save the receipt they can locate your item and what you paid for it. Returns not a problem. Very helpful staff.

This hardware store is clean and neat, it has a lot of products for everything for home and cool gadgets. Staff is very attentive and are ready to help every customer.

Best hardware store in town. I always go here before the big box stores. This place may be slightly more expensive on as one items but Id rather pay it get treated like somebody important than go to home depot and have employees just point to where it should be. The ace people actually take time to help me out and treat me like a valued customer.

Great neighborhood hardware store! They have a little bit of everything and without the wait of a big box store. The sales people are very friendly and extremely helpful. They may not have the huge selection of a bigger store, but the personal service more than makes up for it.

I had been 4 days wasting hours of my time at the plumbing aisles of the understaffed big box (HD and L) hardware stores. I had an uncommon plumbing dilemma. Then I stopped here on a whim on my way home. I was immediately assisted by two of the most knowledgeable and competent young people I have ever seen in a hardware store. I was on my way in minutes with problem solved.I have been to many hardware stores and I want to tell Ace Hardware upper management something. Kate and Tim at this location (Garden City Ace Hardware on Ford Rd) are high value assets to your company. Promote this young lady (Kate) and young man (Tim), they are very competent and will do well.

If you arent white dont do business here! I needed a small amount of assistance finding a screw that I looked for but couldnt find. I was told go look in isle 6 & I cant leave the register when I asked the young man if anyone could help me.

Its your standard real hardware store. The owners and staff are very helpful. The staff has a lot of How To knowledge. I have always found everything that brought me to the place.

The staff here has always gone above and beyond to help. It seems like they sincerely want to help; I never feel rushed or like Im annoying them. Bought 20 units of chalk paint and saved - literally - $109 with my Ace card. Im not kidding when I say they helped me open up every single one and stirred the paint to make sure I wasnt getting any duds. Real MVPs at this location. Thanks again!

Great place to shop. Good old-fashioned customer service up-close-and-personal with old fashioned repair services like window and screen repair and actual machining a part and repairing it if it no longer exists and small parts you just cant find in the big box stores that ran all the mom and pop shops out of business.

I WAS FOLLOWED AROUND MY ENTIRE VISIT. Maybe because Im a Minority; maybe just because I have a teenage son. Either way, I was followed around and watched by multiple employees- --Very rude, embarrassing and humiliating!!! Will NEVER RETURN!!
