Honest, patient, and knowledgeable- no funny business here!I have a 2006 Legacy GT wagon that I have been driving since new. The original head gaskets started to fail (not a bad run for 175k!) I spoke with several mechanics who suggested a complete motor swap. Others gave me quotes upwards of $4600 just to rebuild the top end (including mandatory machining of the heads and doing the timing belt service), but I didnt want to pull the trigger on the top end with the condition of the block undetermined.Then I stumbled across AQ. On our first call, Abrahan stayed on the phone with me for nearly an hour, explaining every option in great detail. He was the first person to suggest that the heads might not need to get decked, and said they would do a pressure/leak down test on the block to determine its health before deciding what route to take on the build. I knew these were my guys, so I set an appointment and had my car towed in a few weeks later.The leak down test showed great results, and it turned out my heads were dead straight as well. (It pays to change your oil regularly people!)In the end, Adan resurfaced the heads by hand (which no one wants to do), replaced every worn gasket, seal and hose, swapped the timing belt/water pump, replaced the motor mounts, and serviced the turbo. All this (and peace of mind) for half the price I was quoted from other shops.I cannot recommend AQ highly enough. Thank you Abrahan and Adan!!

Best place to go for any work on a Subaru in the SoCal area. They will do their best to take care of your service needs/parts/modifications. I was referred to AQ by a former colleague of mine. Have been going for over 4 years now. No issues ever.

Picked up my WRX today, and everything was great. Had a clutch job (Stage 2 ACT) and the car feels better than before I had encountered clutch problems. Price for the job was very reasonable and couple hundred less than what theyd charge elsewhereHonestly they did a really good job, and Abraham always hooks it up with parts recommendation and price options for the budget and stylistic/performance parts.The mechanics here (especially Adan) are very knowledgeable and are very trained with (not by) Subaru and I absolutely trust them with my car.P.s. they also hooked me up once with a straight cut ppg gear (transmission upgrade) for like much much much less than whatd it cost to obtain actually obtain it.

I had my 2005 STIs motor rebuilt a few months ago here. I didnt want to write a review until I was sure the motor is good or bad. Its been a few months an I drove thousands of miles with it. It is better than new. I highly recommend AQ Motorsports. They are the most honest mechanics I have ever met and their knowledge is phenomenal. The service was worth every penny.

This shop is like a Subaru car meet which tells me they know what they are doing on subarus. staff is very friendly. adam and abraham are very knowledgeable in what they are doing and how to meet your goals for the build.

Took my blurple 2013 hatch for a clutch job, they did an amazing fast job, they even recommended me the ITS bracquet to stiffen up the clutch pedal which ill end up doing. Def bringing my car here whenever its in trouble and need of work.

I’ve had my short block and the supporting mods for my Sti performed here. I’ve put over 10k miles on the new setup without any issues. High quality work at very reasonable prices. They always take time to answer my questions.

They have amazing service and they are very informative. I dont trust shops all that much and I am very cautious, these guys give me ease of mind when they work on my car. I have gone in for simple service and part installs to a full engine rebuild. I recommend this shop very much if you own anything Subaru.

This place is hands down the best place . I only take my Subaru here to get worked on . Everytime I take my car here I am more than happy with the work and the price. Everyone is extremely friendly and they always answer the phone even when they are closed. Talk about customer service . You want a place to treat you right take you car here you won’t be let down .

These guys really know what they are doing, from high-end subaru turbo upgrades, to banal SUV fluid changes. They will give you solid advice, perform the work quickly without creating other issues, and charge a very fair price. Im happy that i can finally recommend a good mechanic to my friends who frequently come to me for advice (as im an automotive engineer and ex-mechanic)
