Even though there wasnt much of an selection to choose from ( due to the current chip shortage) of vehicles. The service was pretty good, the salesman / person was helpful, no pressure, just straight forward. Overall, the whole experience wasnt like going to the dentist, or an IRS tax audit ( Pain and pressure).
My Service Manager, Harold is wonderful. He quickly greeted me and ensued my car was ready hours earlier than I was originally told.I highly recommend South Bay Toyota and Harold.

I don’t recommend their service department at all. My mother went in because her check engine light came on for her gas cap, her having purchased a car there with extended warranty. The work order says they checked her tire pressure system per her request and convinced her to sign for a $320 “fuel system clean” that isn’t covered under warranty nor needed at all. Nothing but con artist service managers and uneducated technicians looking to fill their quotas.

Pretty decent place to get your oil change done, everyone is friendly and a good spot to buy other supplies for the car as well, think of it like a little autozone. I always have a good experience except one day when my advisor forgot to tell me my car was done with the oil change so I was waiting there for no reason bored out of my mind, I suggest if you do an oil change and it’s been 2 hours to go to the front desk and check that it’s done.
I had an appointment with this service advisor at a certain time had to wait over 30 minutes before someone came out and I’ll knowledge the fact that there were several vehicles waiting to be checked in when the service advisor arrived people were waiting to be seen but a young rude lady who worked in the office jumped in front of everyone to ask her question to the advisor I told her we had been waiting and no service advisors are around she stated that it was the end of the day so that’s why everyone is gone but I was just told by the porters all the advisers were on lunch break I even asked if I could fill out an application for a service advisor she said they’re not hiring at the time I said I would be a good fit she said I don’t think so.. young Hispanic lady short very skinny wearing all black very rude I wish I could’ve caught a name

The service was good, the work and estimates were well explained and completed on time. I was told that they only do shuttle drop off service to home and are not offering pick up. I would expect a complimentary pick up for a service work of >800 $ and of course I was refused reimbursent for my Uber ride,, it’s an inconvenience considering every other dealer is offering this.

I had got there at 9:15am to get maintenance dine on my car. Was told it would take about 2 hours. Just to get my oil changed and my tires rotated and to top off my fluids. Why did i have to wait nearly 4 hours. Gots to find another dealership to get my maintenance done. Sheesh!!!

Dont come here for service. Theyll make you get into a different lane and have you pushed further back in line. Could have been done in 2 hours turned into an extra hour of wait. Otyer Toyota dealership near by that will be better and more efficient.
Try calling them and no response, so I decided to make a visit and called and no answer. Walked in and saw that the service department has workers and I made a call again to see how they react...... the phone rings, but no one is determined to pick up the company phone. Their too occupied looking at their own personal phones and showing off who has seen the funniest video. Funny thing I called them out on it and they just shrugged. I asked them for a part that I was looking for. They told me that they didn’t have it nor could they look for it at other departments..... it’s best that you just go online and do the “hard work” yourself. Do not feed these lazy people with work!
I went in earlier today after work under the expression that I was going to get a car. I was honestly there to just look at cars. I was supposed to see a worker named Chealse but I don’t know what happened, instead I got the amazing salesman Benjamin Onuba, I think that’s how you spell his last name. He did such an amazing job he was positive throughout my whole process and even guaranteed me that I was going to get a car. He worked with my budget, gave me good advice, & was even funny. I thank him sooo much such a great person great customer services everything. Everyone in there were so nice and friendly. Highly recommend!! Thank you
I had made an appointment for an oil change on Saturday at 8:30 am. I was there at 8:20 am when they got the keys for my car. The service advisor was very friendly and nice, he said it would only take an hour. After waiting for 5 hours and asking multiple times why it was taking so long at the ladies in the front desk in the service department waiting area, who by the way seemed not to care or even bother to call the service techs to find out how much longer it would take to have an oil change done in a car ( which usually takes less than 45 minutes) I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with my visit. What is the point of being on the phone for over 15 to book an appointment if the appointment is not going to be honored????? The ladies in the front desk of the service department don’t seem to care if customers leave unhappy, not realizing that it’s because of us the customers that they have a job. I’m not coming back if Toyota doesn’t show that they care for my time and my businesses.

I recently had a horrible experience at this dealership. I recently changed the outer tie-rods on my 2002 4runner and needed to get it aligned after. My wife took it to the dealership and the service advisor soon called her saying they were not able to align it because the power steering rack was bent and leaking and needed to be replaced.This is highly unusual just by the nature of how the rack is mounted and supported. It would have to be hit or acted on by some outside force for it to bend since I dont off-road and have never been in any accidents thats pretty much not possible.My suspicions were confirmed when I went to look at the car before authorizing any work. The mechanic (nice guy) said that the rack was not bent which can easily be seen. Another thing to take into consideration the OEM rack is cast aluminum and cast aluminum is brittle and would crack and break not bend. The mechanic showed me where the leak was, it was not the rack itself that was leaking but the rubber low pressure return hose that goes from the rack to the pump. What was strange was the mechanic had a different reason than the advisor for not aligning the car, he thought the rack was not centered because one side had the tie rod sticking out farther than the other, he was under the impression that the rack needed to be re centered because he didnt know how much thread was left (mind you the tie rod has about 3 inches of thread and it was out about an inch). He was a young guy and probably not too experienced.All in all they wanted to charge $1750. I had my wife drop off the car originally and I suspect they wanted to take advantage of a woman who doesnt know much about cars. On the phone they used words like leaking a lot and hard steering with her. however it was a small slow leak (like a couple drops a week) and the steering was still butter smooth and could easily use one finger on the steering wheel (Wifes description).I ended up replacing the rubber lines myself cleaned the area with the leak and took the car to dedicated alignment shop. I spent about $100 in total (parts and labor) and the alignment is perfect with both tie rods being very close to the same distance (Who would of thought properly aligning the car would put it in its proper place?!). I checked for leaks a week later and the P/S return hose is sealing properly. Took me about 45 minutes since I had to drain the fluid and top it off.I was going to leave well enough alone but what pushed me to write this review is that they had the audacity to send me a letter wanting to do the work and that they would give me a 15% discount. That just really rubbed me the wrong way.
I would have to say this was one of the best and easiest car buying experiences I have ever had. The staff was so attentive, understanding and helpful. From Juan our sales man to Mike the sales manager to David the Finance officer. A 10 out of 10 experience you cant go wrong! I highly recommend anyone looking for a Toyota to shop here the expericance alone makes it worth every penny you spend.

I owned a Range Rover Evoke in 2014 that came with $63,000.00 sticker price on it. Until I sold it in 2019 a year ago, I enjoyed a VIP treatment at their dealership. It made sense to expect great customer service because it is included in the price. In consolidating, I switched over to a 2019 gorgeous Toyota C-HR with less than half the price, $24,000 to be exact. Besides the fact that it is heads- turning and drives smooth, these guys at Toyota (Manhattan) redefine customer service. Sometimes I say to myself, what are these guys thinking?? Do you think this is a $100,000 car???24 hour online chat??? Call me up to schedule a check up appointment??Who pays for all of this???? Im simply blown away: Im supposed to have down graded; yet and still you UPGRADE your customer service. Can it get better than this???

South Bay Toyota of Gardena is easily the most poorly run dealership Ive ever interacted with. Left my car with them due to their status as a AAA service location. My car got broken into on their lot, they lost the key, refused to return calls for over a week... . Their top sales manager also loves to hang up on you while trying to resolve problems.
It is a Good place to buy car, but they don’t make it “easy on you”. My advice have prof in text whoever you talk to when you are making a deal. They will say 18k, but they will try to add extra stuff to get more money. Beside that they are good people.
I had a 2pm appt to get the recall fuel pump replaced in my 2019 Tacoma. i was told about 2hrs but was out of there by 3pm. im not sure if they actually replaced it or not??😐 i guess i will find out in time.

I call i told them i have the recall for my paint and needed an appointment with the service advisor i ask for the day off at work to get this taken care off i waited in line for about an hour finally when the service advisor eric Sanchez saw me he said their is nothing they can do today because no manager was on floor to approve or inspect the paind and come back on monday why woud they make me loose my time and money like that if they know they dont do that on Saturdays and no manager on floor why would you give an appointment very on profesional south bay toyoya in gardena you just lost a customer.
Was here a year ago. I know it’s a while but I just wanted to share the experience my father and I had. Benjamin the sales man was great. So if it was only him I dealt with it would be a five star. But the finance guy was the worst. Super rude and would make little snide comments and all because we didn’t purchase through them but through our credit union. Put me off of wanting to go there again in the future. Hopefully they teach him how to properly interact with people

He responded to my internet request quickly and confirmed that the car I was interested in was still in stock. We traveled to the dealership and were greeted by Jay, on his day off. He completed all of his paperwork quickly and took us to a very comfortable lounge to wait for financing. We were finally called in to financing and completed the remainder of our paperwork a bit slowly because they have switched to a new computer program. The gentleman that we were working with was very pleasant and professional.I highly recommend this dealership and internet sales manager Jay Soriano. Such an easy and pleasant experience!
I bought a used 2015 Nissan Rogue less than two years ago from this dealership. I am only the second owner and this car just cost me $6500 to fix!! My CVT transmission was bad and I had to spend $4000 to fix it. The heater is messed up and I’m having to pay &1500 to fix. I bought a car from them thinking I was getting a reliable car, and they did their inspection before selling the car but it’s the opposite! They sold me a bad car and I advice to stay away! I’m definitely going to spread the word to my fellow South Bay neighbors and friends.

Very disappointing experience at this dealership. I came here looking to lease the 2020 RAV4 XLE. When it came to talking numbers there was no room for reasonable negotiation. I didn’t expect the numbers to completely match what Toyota offers online ($320/month) but the offer I got was $200 on top of that. The sales guy was nice and understanding but brought his manager in to see if there was anything he could do. The manager was very stubborn and told me that these cars never have any discount and that he knew that he was going to sell it whether it was to me or someone else. Obviously I left. I went to Longo Toyota instead and got a GREAT deal on the same car with added accessories, ZERO down, and almost the same as the online offer.
Went there to get lease first they offered me a car for 380$ when toyota.com offered it for 250$. First they looked nice and when I didnt make a deal the guy who served me told me: I am tired already tell me your price and when i told he again offered the same and when i refused he said go away and was extremely rude. My family went to this dealer around 3:30 PM on November 29th, 2020 for a 2020 Sienna XLE. Alex greeted us with all his sincerity and his professionality. Everything went smoothly between Alex and my family, we then closed the deal with Alex at $34,500.00 for a Black Sienna XLE, 2020 model. We put down an initial payment of $5,500.00. Everyone was happy and we thought we had a good deal! We were wrong!We proceeded to the financing process and met with Charles. After a long talk and a load of service packae offers, our invoce price is finally at $40,300 ish, including the initial payment we put down before. Then the moment before he submit the transaction, he waid we were all dealing on the wrong car, which they wont sell to us at $40,300ish, but $45,800ish instead, and they have already lost $5,000.00, because the car is supposed to be at $50,000ish. This happened after we have signed all the paperwork with them, and they said if we do not agree, then they will blow the deal. What a scam! Who wlse will do business with them? They do not honor their own words! They are not honest! The worst part is not able to purchase the car, the worst part is 6 hours wasted with these cheaters, liars, and the loss of credit points for them to pull the credit report to check my credit score. This story will spread all over the places, BBB, facebook, twitter, etc... and they will lose more than we did.

Went there with a friend for car service easy, they damaged windshield. Was told no manager available they cant do anything about it. Windshield was alright before dropping it off or else they would have said something when they check the vehicle for servings. Sad day for sure
Took the car for service and everything was fine until while driving home noticed a sound on the steering wheel and went back to South Bay Toyota dealer and they said they were not responsible since the service didnt involved the steering wheel. They wanted to charge 140 dollars to check it.Check it out myself and it was the way they left the steering wheel all the way down and moved it back to where it was when I give it to them for the service. It seems to be ok. But, not happy with the way they handle the cars and dont make sure they leave the car in the same condition is been delivered to them. Its not the first time I have issues with the service at this dealership. They had damaged the inside of my car before, they fix it. But its important to make sure that your car is in the same condition before leaving the dealership after getting any service.
We went in there looking for a car we saw online as a present for my mom on her birthday. It was a Toyota Corolla SE Nightshade with a nice grey color and after going through various option Daniel Quintanilla hooked us up with a great deal. Theres service hours are very convenient starting at 7 a.m. and theyre open six days a week, what more convenience can you have?

Dishonest people. I think they hire their employees to write reviews. Its impossible they have that many Excellent reviews. I saw many angry customers there. They messed up with my car service twice. Last service they forgot to do something with the car so the computer was messed up. I went to them because of the key battery so they asked me to pay $150 for a new battery so I told them Im under warranty and suddenly they need now to keep the car for 2 hours to check the entire system before they pay for the new battery which now they confessed it is under warranty and I dont have to pay. They dont honour contractual agreements in the contract. My car is brand new and they messed it. There was no manager on duty and they were very terrible with the service and very rude. After almost 3 hours of waiting, I asked them what have you done to my car and they said we switched on and off the key 20 times to check out. Thats all what we have done. It took them almost 3 hours to check if the key is working without checking the entire system like they said earlier. They messed up my brand new car with the first service and they continue to mess up with it. No manager, no compensation, they never apologize, rude, horrible service never go back. They did offer free food to cover for their horrible service. I dont need to eat food. I came there for my car service and they are horrible at what they are doing. You are not a restaurant. Youre a car service so be good at what you do and stop bribing people to write good reviews about you. They say theyre gonna go a full system check up but they do nothing. They keep the car sitting for 3 hours in their garage.
