Absolutely terrible to do business with. Steer clear of this company and the owner Casey. Their word means absolutely nothing to them. They refused to honor their own policy after multiple times of trying to work things out with them. The only reason I put a 1 star review was because there was no option to leave a zero star review.

By far the worst company I have ever done business with. Refused to return the material that is in new condition and not used. Casey the owner refused to work with us out of pride. Do not do business with these people they will con you and have no sense of customer service. being higher priced we assumed they have better customer service but their integrity means nothing to them. HORRIBLE COMPANY AND HORRIBLE EMPLOYEES.

Just simply over bought to avoid multiple trips. The owner treated me and my guys like trash. If the Owner Casey treats people like this dont waste your time.

Ordered rebar for a job via phone so the order could be pulled for pickup. Arrived an hour later to pickup the order of 60 #3 and 16 #4. (not a large order) Wasnt busy at all, only 2 other customers but somehow I still have to wait 1½ hours for them to pull my order! After going in the office to see what management had to say about this...they said I dont know what to tell ya, next time call ahead. I did call ahead and there will not be a next time.

We have been clients of Garland Steel for over a decade. The place is essential for what we do. They have a variety of steels and the pricing is more than fair. Weve never sold scrap here (its not our gig anyway), so I cannot comment on the scrapping process. Theyre great and we really appreciate that theyre here in lovely Garland, Texas (G-Town!)

Garland Steel is great at helping out customers with both large orders and extremely small ones! Two years ago, I purchased a large amount of tubing and pipe for a fence project, and Garland Steel had extremely competitive pricing and free material delivery! The material was delivered to my job site on time!Yesterday, I needed a small piece of flat bar and sheet metal to patch a few holes. Garland Steel was just as friendly for my small order as they were when I needed large quantities! There prices are still competitive, and despite what some other reviews say, I find their customer service nearly impossible to beat!

Scam artist company i went in around 4pm to sell some steel guy working said it was too late even thought hours said 9-5 so i got a quote and he said my steel was .05c a pound. checked a couple other places same thing so took it next day and when they paid me gave .03c a pound. called them out and they said steel is comingled/different grades its impossible to quote a price. well if you want to get scamed go to this company i highly suggest wasting your time dealing with these idiots.

The owners staff and emotes are great and have good knowledge of products an very helpful and polite very inexpensive great place to buy your metal product

Worst customer service ever. I bought some steel here back in December and it took me 50 minutes just to get it load. Ok. This time I was in rush and we were short with the materials. Not much just 4 cuts. To avoid waisted time I called before and asked to get this cuts to be prepared. Also I told manager that I had that bad experience with the loads last time and want to get it done fast. So she said everything is fine they are not busy today and they can’t process the card over the phone. Right it’s 21 century here but they can’t. I paid my order and when I came to the loading dock guess what- huge 18 wheeler started unloading the materials. So additional 45 minutes of wasted time and never get back here. Plus their prices are really not so good to get here as well.

Been here a few times over a couple of years and their service gets worse each time. Outside of a few guys in the warehouse, the staff has no people skills. Rude and condescending. Maybe a result of nepotism, maybe poor training but in the end its all bad.

Learning to weld, and got this place referred to me from someone who is really into metal. I was not sure what to expect, but the front desk ladies, to the TRUE METAL MASTER Robert working with my order, it was top notch. Finding out my needs, helping me pick the right size and gauge of the metal, and really caring about the quality of the job. Very fast, very straight forward and honest group of engineers there at Garland Steel! I do not give many 5 stars on my reviews, but these guys and gals deserve it. Way to go GS! I called and asked they told me its 7 cents a pound of metal and when I got there they paid me 5 cents and when I asked why they told prices change... when do prices change by phone or by person. Nobody wanted to help they just told me to deal with it and not to come back. Never coming back there

As an aspiring artist/fabricator I am limited to the available yards that will sell to me. Sadly, most of the yards are selling all if their scrap to china and wont allow locals to walk/buy the supply on hand. Garland steel is a family owned and operated recycler that is able to handle any buy/sell that comes their way. I am so grateful for the inventory that they make available to anyone that walks in. I work for a very reputable company in the DFW metroplex. We tried to do business with Garland Steel only to be discouraged by the sales staff. Honestly, how hard is it to give a tonnage price. I ship 10-75 TON a day to competitors like CMC or Gamtex. Some times more. Seems Garland Steel doesnt want new business.

Workers are slow and rude. Not friendly. You can buy steel anywhere. Will not come back. No.

If getting degraded and being yelled at is you thing then, this is the place for you. When i came in the guy who claimed to be the owner was yelling at a customer because he needed to pay a bill. I guess if you’re not big business you don’t matter.

Watch their prices. They tried to sell me a scrap piece of copper for $9.00 a pound when they only would buy the copper from you for $1.00. Have had other similar situations, but that was the worst.
