This store is definitely not cheap but it is dirty 🤣🤣 how are you going to sale something that is damaged at a retail price 🙄 like Seriousl. Dont waste your time going here. And the employees are super rude all of them.

Drity place and they want more then new prices. I was going to buy a fold up chair there no price on it ask cashier she said $40.00 dollars I said I can go to Academy and buy brand new for $35.00! I left after driving 39 miles. I know now why drit cheap is going out business now. They want money perfect not volume. Must be a new young management team there going to kill them just like Hastings went out of business! Wow

FANTASIC ! Ive been going to Dirt cheap for past 3 years, and out of the 3 other ones Ive gone too, this is my Favorite! Allen store especially, stuff is just all broken. =(I complimented the cashier today on a good store, and he literally just stared at me and then started checking the next person out.. =/

Went into this location and spent quite a bit. One of the items I purchased was big so it’s not like you can try out in the store. I made it home literally 30 minutes later and took it to my backyard where there’s room. Mind you, everything was in original packaging with nothing appearing to be opened. Everything was rusted and broken. I called right back to the store and a male worker had the nerve to say oh that’s why we allow you to open it in the store. How? So basically on the big ticket items, they sell you junk because they know you can’t try it out in the store. They package it well to make you feel good about it like it’s never been opened then take your money. I’m disputing this all the way. Totally dishonest practices.

The store is a massive mess, the floors are just disgusting, there is no organization anywhere, broken toys everywhere, boxes shredded open, no customer service, just an awful experience.

Wow. this place is high end clothing heaven.... call any brand name this place has it. very affordable and just great place. Not just clothing but an array of items. Just check it out. I promise you will be in awe.

Called to see if they had a piece of furniture I had bought at another location. It came in a HUGE box and it’s furniture so it would be fairly easy to tell me if they had it on the floor or not. I live an hour and a half away and they would not give me the time of day or look for me. I don’t expect much from a customer service perspective at locations like these, but it would be nice to just be a decent human being and help me out.

Very disappointed with Dirt Cheap today. There was a lot of items that was on the Shelf and it was marked down to 80 percent down. And there were a quantity of the items on the Shelf. You get up to the cash register and they said oh no this is not mark down. Well guess what they can keep that because there is so much stuff scattered about and not organized that you cant tell what from what. Then the lady says oh just get the app on your phone and you can scan in to see if the the price is correct. Dont everyone put apps on their phone. And especially me Im a senior citizen and I aint got time for that.

Its like treasure hunting at a yard sale. If you have teh time to really dig you can find some great deals but it can be very frustraiting when thing do not have prices marked and other items are damaged beyond repair from mishandeling from customers in the store.

The new Employees have racial bias - unless your Latino - Im not black. 2 bad experiences - Im an older person and they thought I would be stealing. I offered to allow them to inspect my bag when I leave, but they said No, and insisted they keep my bag while I go shopping with all my important things inside. I purchased a Vicks Humidifier $23, came home and it doesnt work at all; no returns. Then just recently, the lady clerks behavior - again the bias against non-spanish - charged me $20 for a First Alert carbon monoxide alarm (box opened and taped)! Orig was $21.50. She accused me of having approved the price at 8% discount. Liar. She told me $3, but charged me $20 and some cents. She gave everyone else a promo card for purchase but she did not give me for my $71 purchase, not until she realized I was watching her and only after I pressed her to accept back the carbon monoxide alarm. which she did begrudgingly.

0/5. I try not to leave bad reviews but this dirt cheap was DIRT. Ive never been in any store so disgusting. Dust every where. Kids crawling on the floor. So many aisles blocked off. Found shoes i liked not a single pair in the same size literally each shoe was a different size! Paint all over the floor. No organization what so ever. I feel like I caught something just walking in. No hand sanitizer. No one asked if I needed anything no one greeted us. The new manager needs to get their stuff together. Just gross. Sorry.

Sometimes you can find some really good deals at the store but you have to dig through all the junk... I found quite a few new short sleeve and long sleeve shirts all for a dollar and some jeans for $2. You really cant beat that kind of deal!

It started real good when they just started but now prices are the same as daily Deals in Plasentgrove and dont have to hunt for prices

Very disappointed w DirtCheap in Garland. I usually go to the location in Allen, but I live close to this store, so my mom and I went to see what deals we could find here and let me tell you I will definitely stick to the ALLEN LOCATION. The prices are ridiculously so HIGH it’s crazy. might as well shop at Target where the clothes is normally from and get it for a better price. Ex: I wanted to purchase a 9month onesie for my little one, it had a target tag saying it was on Clearance for $3.99 and it also had a DC tag with the letter “D” they were selling it for $6 freaking dollars!!! there was a lot of used clothes for high price, wasn’t worth buying. There was also DC tags that only had the barcode, I scanned it with my phone App and it would say to check with cashier which is exactly what I did, I went up to the only cashier “lady” asked her to check the price of a blouse and how much would the clothes be if it only had the barcode with no letters and she said it’ll be $2.00! So keep in mind my mom and I already had a couple of shirts like that so we had in mind it would be $2.00. When we were ready to pay the same lady checked us out, first item was being scanned (tag with only barcode “$2”) ended up ringing $50! Keeped scanning the other item a that we thought would be $2 ended up being $45, $12, $7. So I stopped her and told her you told me the tags with only the barcode would be $2.00 and her response was “I NEVER SAID THAT” when she clearly told my mom and I that. On top of that had a bad attitude and was so RUDE! never again.Even before us there was an older person asking for pricing and wanted to know why he was getting different prices than she was and she was raising her voice instead of explaining to him the reason being. They just need better employees/cashiers! when we left the store a lady that was walking next to us said “the cashier lady you had is always like that with people changes up the prices and is very rude.” Cashier name: T. This store is a grabbag of all sorts. What I mean by that is, you can go in there in one week and go the next week and have different stuff. Its always changing. For the most parts, the prices are 50-75% off of retail. But in my opinion, the larger priced items are more priced at full retail. But they have to make a profit in order for us to get all the other items Dirt Cheap. Thanks for the bargains.

I purchased laminated flooring from dirt cheap and tried to install the flooring and it is warped and will not work. Now, I know you have to test items out but you cannot test new flooring in a box! I was told I would be contacted by a manager who never called me. They are trying not to give me my money back. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! I dont want this to happen to no one else.

I had my first experience at dirt cheap oh my you must come with the thought of searching through many many items to find what you need. I did purchase something with some fear of whether or not it would work because there are no refunds. They do seem to have many items and some good items but again you must come with patients and you must check your selections very carefully because some of the things have defects but theyre coming from really good stores you just have to watch your purchase items.

Unorganized and products were not labeled well.

I like the Dirt Cheap Store Brand. Its a store that you need a couple of hours to get threw though. Watch out for broken items and always check electric and electronics because there is a strict No Refund Policy in place. The store boasts returned and salvaged items so buyers beware. They also carry overstock, which means you can get great deals on clothing. The price rarely is the sticker price with most items discounted %50 at check out.

The cashier Armeta was awesome but the rest of the employees that were putting inventory out would NOT let customers see or get near the area on display. They had a cart of what their dibs (spoke in spanish saying they needed to pull what wanted before customers got it)were to keep and we had to wait until they were done. It was extremely unprofessional. Specially when the customer gets kicked away from that specific area after waiting 15-20min . Employees should shop not in working hours or do it behind the customers back without being seen. Not in plain sight and not allowing customers to purchase what they want.

Prices vary from store to store .for the same merchandise.At Garland they check out the employees before customers. Denton has best prices .

Selection used to be a lot better. They need to clear out the clutter and junk thats not going to sell more frequently. I like to dig for treasures but its just not worth the time and energy anymore.

If you dont mind digging for discount treasures, then this place is for you. Just have a lot of patience and there are gems and great discounts to be had at Dirt Cheap.

They have some great deals but most things dont scan the price on signs. No fitting rooms, all sales are final and lots of the stuff is damaged. You have to be super careful with everything you buy. Ill keep going back but YMMV.

I shop here often its a lot of treasures, and the employee Amie was help she introduced me to the scanner app where I was able to scan the merchandise to check prices. The staff was very help under the situation of being under staffed. I love shopping here, and you just have to have patience

This location is a disaster.

We always have unpleasant encounters with the assistant manager, Amy. She is always in a bad mood and makes you feel bad for asking what the prices are on the items you are trying to purchase. It’s out of our control that the Dirt Cheap app is trash and doesn’t work 100% of the time. I will be speaking to the manager, Jones. The next time I come in. The employees obviously have a difficult time pricing items and providing good customer service.

I love Dirt Cheap. I am from Mississippi where they all started so I was thrilled when Texas started to get them. The Garland location is my favorite because they have the most furniture. I visited this store last Saturday and there were two pieces of furniture that were broken. The nightstand could not even stand up on its own. They were offering 40% off the original price that they put on there. It was way more than than the Target tag that was still attached to the item. There was no way I was going to pay over $60 for something that should have been thrown in the trash.All this to say is watch the pricing on their items. Since Dirt Cheap raises the price of the original price of the item you can sometimes come out better just buying it brand new from Target. I say Target because it is basically a Target Outlet!

I gave this dirt cheap 4 stars because it’s a lot nicer and cleaner than majority of the ones that I have been to. Most of them there is stuff everywhere... I mean it’s is but it’s an organized mess! If you have the patience to actually look through things you actually can come out with some pretty good deals! I typically come here for little Knickknacks

It is a mess, most things are broken and missing prices. Costumer service is not the greatest.

I am a big fan of the “Dirt Cheap” brand but the Garland store is a total mess,such a no no👎👎👎The staffs (almost all of them) especially the African Americans,are so rude and mean!I was there 04/13/3019, was checking out some items on an aisle with my shopping cart at the edge of the aisle,before I looked behind me to push my cart,it had been taken by the staffs 2aisles away from me and they put one of my items out of it while the cart and my other stuffs were gone!I totally didn’t understand what was happening! I knew those ladies putting hangers away took my cart but didn’t wanna create a scene,walked up to them and asked politely,they acted dumb and unaware of what they did! I waked down to the front,another staff walked down there with me and we still found those ladies(staff) taking out hangers,after my explanation,they started laughing! So rude,so impolite,so saucy!I had my Parker jacket in the cart,they took it all away with my finds! This is terrible and should stop!The same way they almost picked a fight up with my mom and sis 3 months ago over a simple question,the cashier literally walked out on us! Such a mess! So rude and impolite! Even when their supervisor tried mediating,the black girls tried to make her fight! So sad,so sick!

While did score on an item or 5- 1gal wood cleaner .50 ($10); NWT jeans $1($50)- these places look like imploded thrift stores. Require download app for QR scanner with checking, checking, checking price taking TIME. Avg 40-50% off- $50 pillow for $30 (s/b $8, IMO)... appear sourced from Target|WalMart. Also checked out one in Garland: same MESS.Maybe explore again in a few months...maybe

Honors its name: dirtYYY. The only reason to go there now a days is because they have teachers material at super low cost.But everything is out of place and in disorder.

It is a good place to find house ware and clothes. It is a little overwhelming with all the clothes and furniture. The staff is super friendly and willing to help. They are a little short staffed and long lines but good bargains are always worth it. 😊

If you don’t mind the clutter, the smell of thrift store and digging through mess, this is a good place for hidden deals. It’s especially fun to find stationary, party supplies, small gifts, kid toys. If on a super tight budget this a place to check out for holiday decor or even random baby items. Overall you just never know what you’ll find so allow time to shuffle things around.

The Garland location is the worst store in the metroplex area. I bought a bargain cart so I asked for bags and the cashier did not want to give me a single one. After that, I tried to buy an item and the cashier did not want to sell it to me for no reason. This same person was rude to me. And the bathroom do not have soap ( in a middle of a pandemic) Worst place ever to go shopping. I recommend the Allen and the Carrollton location.

Best store between thrift shop and discount store! Can find treasures and shoes and clothes and even tech and snacks... great prices on most. Avoid kiddie stuff cause its usually picked over. Fun to hunt!

A bit chaotic. To realize your .best advantage price/quality wise be prepared to take your time. Ask if they have any specials for that day. This day they had good quality walking shorts for $1.00 and washed denim jeans for $2.00 all new merchandise.
