Unprepared and may waste your time.I received a call on the day before my appointment and was asked to provide my insurance information. I mentioned that I was unsure whether my coverage would be accepted, but the woman with whom I was speaking told me not to worry and that I would be notified of any issues. I was not contacted again.I arrived to my appointment and filled out some paperwork. After waiting patiently for nearly 45 mins, I was approached by an employee and thought I was then going to be seen by the doctor. Come to find out the staff did not look into my coverage until I was present in the office, and that my plan would not be accepted. I was then offered to pay for the visit out of pocket and subsequently file a claim to my insurance company for reimbursement.Ive heard great things about this office; its a shame that some of their employees demonstrate this type of unprofessional behavior.

Really happy with my experience here. I wanted to get the whole family’s eye exams done before the end of the year. The accommodated us on a Sunday! They maximized our eye benefits to the fullest, getting 3 of us free sunglasses, a year supply of contacts, and a pair of prescription glasses for about $100. The staff was super friendly, and the eye doctor even more so. My old place stopped taking my insurance, and I am glad, I will definitely come back here from now on.
This was my first time going to a chain optometrist. Ive been in glasses since age 4, so Ive got a lot of experience! I dont leave a ton of reviews but was extremely happy with my care from Dr. Allards pleasant but no-nonsense approach and expert level of care.In recent years, after 15 years of contact lens wearing, I developed some irritations in addition to some pre-existing eye conditions, and thought it might be the end of the road for me with contacts, having gone to expert clinicians to troubleshoot. Yet, Dr. Allard quickly identified a way to not only switch the lens I was using but also streamline my current prescription and treatment. I was cautiously optimistic as its sometimes hard to tell in office if youll be happy with a lens long term. Three months later and the new lenses have given me a new lease on my vision.I also liked that they have a staff member run you through what you can expect to pay out of pocket before the appointment begins, thats a nice feature. I did not take a star off for this, because I know its standard operating procedure throughout the industry, but I dont love having to sit with a salesperson to check out and get my prescription. I travel and move quite a bit, so Ill almost never be making that additional purchase at the time of the exam, and its not a good use of my time. Again, didnt take off a star because I know they have to try to make a profit and its pretty standard to do this now--just as a consumer be aware you do have options to shop around and dont feel pressured to buy on the spot.Finally, I couldnt find my prescription after my most recent move, and it was painless to call and request it be emailed to me, which they did immediately.
I highly recommend this location. Very clean, well kept and the staff is very friendly. Dr.Allard takes his time explaining and educating the changes in my vision and what to expect from prescription changes, etc. The glasses options are offered in a large variety and even without the best insurance, prices are fair. Ive been a MyEyeDr. customer now for over 2 years and will continue my vision visits with them as I feel they have all done an outstanding job!
I must say I am blown away. I had a recent appointment at this location. I was nervous at first bc my last visit nearly 2 years ago wasn’t that great(fill in provider). I also was concerned about how they handled Covid precautions. I was relieved to see that they had a system that worked seamlessly. From the time you walk in, pick your glasses, time with the doctor abs checkout. I felt completely safe. The waiting area never got crowded and we were all able to maintain more than sis feet apart. I like that everyone who entered, was asked to change into new clean mask 🙌🏽. I will definitely be coming back to this location. Had a great appointment with Taylor for my contact lens fitting, however have had a rough experience dealing with the front desk staff. Between being told different things regarding my insurance and being unable to get back in touch with the same folks that helped me the first appointment, I will likely not be returning and will continue to go to the smaller non-chain office I used previously, even though the location is a lot less convenient.
The staff and Dr at this location are Awesome!! The are very welcoming and knowledgeable!! I would definitely recommend this location!!
In the past I have had good experiences at this location, but sadly the customer service has been lacking recently. My pharmacy and I have been unable to get a response regarding an Rx after multiple requests/phone calls/messages in nine days. I have paid for a visit/service that I have not received because I have not yet received the treatment for my issue. The response I get is that they are busy and will respond in 24-48 hours. Nine days is 216 hours.
After 5 weeks my sons glasses never came. The manager assured me she would call with status updates and never did. Terrible communication. A customer should not have to call each week for a status update. Advice to manager, take one minute out of your day to initiate the status call. Customer service goes a long way. I canceled the order. Will take my business elsewhere.

Let’s do this again since this is the ONLY way your company responds to someone! When you called you covered up for this horrible store no one ever called and told us a promise date! Let’s actually talk about how NO ONE from this store has ever called me I have been the one to start every phone call. Yet I was told the glasses would finally be in after 4 weeks on Oct 1st.... still no call I called today now you tell me they won’t be in till NEXT Wednesday!!Our son has been without his glasses for 4 weeks now!! 4 WEEKS. How do you expect this child to fully function in school. This is unacceptable!!! If I could give you negative stars I would. There has been nothing but problems since the first phone call! I expect a call ASAP!
Always a great experience! I have been going to this location for years and the staff has always been warm and welcoming. Doctor Allard is wonderful and extremely patient. I have had some major eye issues in the past and he always takes the time to go over past notes and look to the future when planning my eye care. I have recommended all my family and friends to this location because of the care I receive.
I came in about 3 weeks ago for my annual eye exam and had a great experience. Front desk staff were kind and courteous. I was taken back within a matter of minutes and the technician was fantastic, hate I didnt catch her name. She made pleasant conversation with me and was thorough in the tests performed. Dr. Allard was genuine and thorough as always. I appreciate that he keeps things real and doesnt try to sell you something if you dont actually need it. I came in again yesterday to get a pair of back up glasses and had a great experience thanks to Ray. I liked that he checked in with me ocassionally but allowed me time to try on glasses without the pressure of someone standing over me. When I decided on a pair, Ray took the time to make sure my measurements were accurate and helped me get the best price without insurance, as I had already used my insurance benefits on contacts. Ray explained everything thoroughly and didnt try to sell me on things that I didnt need. Through the entire process, he was very professional and showed a genuine care for the customer. I highly recommend Dr. Allard, Ray, and the entire My Eye Dr. Staff - thank you for making my experience a good one!
Had a great experience here. I called last-minute and they were able to fit me in same day, which was amazing (I called about five other places who couldnt see me at all today). Once I got there, everyone was extremely nice and helpful. I had a bunch of great conversations and felt entirely at ease. They were also very good sports about my buying glasses online rather than in-store. I highly recommend this MyEyeDr!

First time customer at white oak with dr allord. Two pair progressives (regular/sunglasses). Have blurred vision out of one lens and called them. Nate with customer service said that was normal that my glasses were intended for me to use both eyes to see clearly. Girl came out and argued with me that it was normal to have blurred vision out of one eye. Each eye has its own prescription to see clearly, I didn’t have that problem in 40 years of wearing glasses. Very cheap made, service to match and won’t be back. I read yelp before I went and still decided to give them a try. This is our USA customer service these days!
Dr. Allard is wonderful. He really cares about his patients and takes time with you during your appointment. He is very thorough and if you are having an issue, he will actually call you himself to follow up. That is unheard of these days, but VERY much appreciated. It shows that he really does care about your well being. Also, the staff is always super friendly and warm. I would highly recommend this place!

I like Dr. Allard a lot - very nice and makes sure everything is well with glasses and contacts. The staff was friendly but did a terrible job. I let them know I was going to get glasses and order contacts online since they were cheaper. She told me they had a deal going on, which was similar to ordering online, so I paid for glasses and contacts and was told there was a rebate for the contacts as well! 30 minutes later they called me to tell me I would owe $100 more if I wanted contact for the entire year and there was actually no rebate for my contacts. I am now in the market for a new eye doctor as this is not how business should be handled.
Girl at front desk refused to update insurance, which I told her changed at the first of the year and gave her new information. She had already given me total for my part and told me nothing changed for my part. I paid it and then when I received my receipt, it showed she never updated insurance in the system. It is a shame, because everyone else there gave me very good customer service, but if the one at the front counter is acting dishonestly, it ruins the whole experience.
Just dont be in a hurry.

Have been going to this place for years and had been pleased. Not any more. Staff is less than interested in helping. The turnaround is so much slower. I am so disappointed. Finding a new eye dr, but pretty sure they will care less. Just posting this as a warning to others.
I was seen last week for a long overdo eye exam. The service was impeccable! Dr. Allard is thorough, knowledgeable and compassionate. Rosha, was amazing ! She put my mind at ease, made me laugh, and took time to help me learn how to wear contacts! Tonya at the front desk was also helpful in helping me with my insurance to maximize my benefits and the lowest out of pocket price for myself! I can not recommend this office enough! You will not be disappointed!
I love this place. The atmosphere is wonderful. Both doc. and administrative took the time to help me and answer all my concern. Atmosphere are extremely friendly. All staff not only acknowledge me but my kids as well. Absolutely love this place.
Terrible customer service from the blonde assistance that had a hurt right arm. She made it clear that she didnt want us there from the moment she called us back. I will NEVER go back to this place or another of its location.
Dr Allard and staff have been awesome! Theyve patiently helped me work through diagnosing and treating my contact allergy issues, along with the testing various different contact brands to find something that worked. I am very happy with my experience here.
I love this place. Dr. Ballard is kind, extremely patient and knowledgable, and remembers me from one visit to the next. The staff was able to find my insurance even though I didnt know exactly what I had. I was able to try several pairs of progressive contact lenses until we found ones that worked. The only negative is that there is sometimes a long wait, which I attribute to the amount of time they give to each patient, so not a bad thing. Highly recommend.
My dad was helping me with some yard work and got a piece of debri flung into his eye by the weed eater. Dr. Allard saw us right away, was courteous, friendly, and joked around with us the whole time. Even the staff at the front desk were friendly and hilarious. Amazing staff at a great location!!
Horrible, horrible customer service! The first time I called they told me to drop the glasses off at 1:15 as the time I requested when I got there they were closed for lunch! Now over a week later I call back to check on the order and they tell me it will be a month! I asked why no one called and let us pick out different glasses since these are discontinued the guy said well I can’t help what other techs do!!

Everyone here is so nice and personable. If you have to go to an eye doctor, this is a great place to go. It is also pretty easy to get an appointment close to when you call.
Probably one of the oddest offices Ive ever been to. Front desk acts like theyre over everything and everyone. Doctor was SUPER strange and completely rushed the exam. I dont know if it was a bad day or what, but everyone was so nonchalant and unfriendly. Having problems with the contact perscription the doctor gave me, but when i went to schedule another appointment the woman on the phone acted as if I was bothering her! Id rather just not deal with this office. Im just going to go back to the north Raleigh location. This office needs some serious proper customer service training classes.
Ive never completed a rate and review for anyone before but after reading the ratings I had to reply. My experience was wonderful! They quickly checked me in and the young lady that completed my eye exam was full of personality and service excellence! The ophthalmologist was personably and explained the process clearly. My favorite was the front desk personal.... They allowed me to freely try on eye glasses and gave me feed back on what glasses fit my face. Id take service excellence over anything and this place had exactly that!

However, I am glad I chose to make my appointment here after all!!!Dr. Allard was fantastic!Rosha was awesome!!and Tonya was super helpful!!the rest of his staff were nice and even though they were still in the midst of a remodel, the office was clean!!

This is the kind of place where you feel like you need a shower after leaving. Youre not exactly sure how they ripped you off, or the insurance company off, but you know that they are up to no good.They also have a large hang up regarding progressive contact lenses. They gave me the sales pitch and I gave them a try. They seemed okay in the office but as soon as I stepped out into the real world, I realized that they were not going to work for me since I could no longer read street signs coming up while driving. I go back in and the manager puts up a big fuss about not wanting to change anything. I eventually see the eye doctor again and I agree to try one progressive lens and one normal lens. Later in the evening when I begin reading, I realize that I still need my reading glasses. My wife has her appointment the next day so she lets them know that I would like to change my prescription so that I no longer have a progressive lens in each eye. They agree but say that I must first wait for the current contact order to arrive before they will change the order.... huh?!? So, I played their game, and after they never called me to let me know my contacts were in, I eventually called and found that they were so I went in. More fussing about changing the order. They of course have no record of the previous conversation and I have to go through the whole thing again to CONVINCE THEM that the progressive lenses are not for me. They tell me that they will check with the doctor and get back to me. I eventually go back to the front desk to find why Im waiting so long and the front desk lady says that I didnt need to wait anymore and should just go home and they will call me when the new order is ready. She just never bothered to let me know that everything was all set.Its just a sleazy place. Im convinced that they hire people from used car lots.

Made appt for my husband. He was seen and told he has really high pressure in his eyes. He suffered daily headaches and irritated eyes . The doctor here took the time to get his pressure down and help maintain it there. My hubs was told for years it was high but no one did anything about it. He has the beginning of glaucoma at 40 years old. Headache are gone unless he forgets his eye drops. So grateful for this doctor.
After a bad experience at another eye Dr, they got me in the next day and were amazing. I felt very comfortable and the staff was knowledgeable and truly cared.

I had to switch out contacts and my boxes were damaged and they were so kind and sweet and still switched them out no charge, great customer service!
Customer service from one particular representative is horrible. She has no clue as far as insurance verification goes. The tech had to help us and we were astound by her patient with the rep after herself and myself had to explain to the front desk rep.that she was using the company discount vs. My private eye vision insurance . Ill never go to the garner location again.

Dont go here. They give you a date that your glasses will be ready for pick up and then dont provide theme. I ordered two pairs of glasses and they gave me a date for two weeks out. When I called to verify my glasses were on, they informed me no. They dont call and tell you there is a delay, you have to call. Very disappointed and would have been better to go to Walmart.

Ive been a contact lens wearer of 30+ years and Dr. Melissa Misko is the BEST eye doctor Ive had in that whole time. I thought I couldnt wear contacts anymore due to my eyes becoming progressively drier over the years. I now have a set of daily-wear contact lenses and I couldnt be happier. Im an electrical engineer and spend most of my days designing things on a computer. I would hate to be my eyes... but I cant imagine my life with poor vision either. To make matters worse... Im also vain about my appearance so glasses are out. Dr. Misko worked with me until I was better than happy. Her whole staff is friendly and very thorough as well. I highly recommend her and her team for any vision care needs.
This Eye care center is a mess they do not honor customers the eye glass. I purchased some glasses last year, I had to keep taking it back because they got the prescription wrong 4X. So I didnt wear them for 3 months after I got them back the 4th and final time - because I still couldnt see out of them well. Finally sometime in late April or May, I started wearing them to get used to them. I started using the solution that they gave me to clean the glasses with and little by little the scratches started showing up on the glasses. It wasnt bad at first, but then thru the months, they started showing up more and more - which was when I really started paying attention to it. I took them back to the store to get them to change the lens because the associate told me that the contractors they were using, they got rid of. Im assuming they didnt put the right materials into these glasses. So I asked for the lens to be replaced and they told me my prescription had expired, so they would not honor me with a new pair of lens. They use cheap materials to prepare the glasses. So Im taking them to court. Ill let you know what the outcome is.

WOW!!! People... You have got to try this place. I mean for anything you may need for your eyes; this place is definitely the place! I am a long-standing patient of Eyecare Center, in Cary. Yesterday, I developed a painful, swelling condition involving my right eye lid. It was very painful, stinging, itching…a mess. I suspected it was a really bad sty, but wanted to make sure this wasn’t something more serious. I called the Eyecare Center and requested only that they check that eye, as I was very concerned, and I’ve never had this problem before. Eyecare Center told me their next available appointment was in February! February! So, to be clear… I wasn’t asking for an eye exam or any “routine” service to my eyes. This was a little more serious (I thought) and would have warranted only a little bit of their time to look at my eye, but that’s what they told me. So, I asked for a referral to another office they thought might be able to see me. They referred me to another Eyecare Center (in Cary), a little further down the road. Again, I was told the same thing. U n b e l i e v a b l e ! So, I asked ‘them’ for a referral and the same story played once again, but for a different eyecare store. Three times I tried… so lastly, I took a chance, went online and found “myeyedr.” Within two hours I was sitting in their office with one of the most-kindest, professional, and easy to work with staff ever! I mean EVERYONE in this office is just ‘top notch.’ In fact, I thought with such a super staff, surely the doctor would not be so great. Boy was I wrong! His name is Dr. Allard and all I can say is ‘wow.’ Bedside manner? Seems like this guy invented it, lol. He’s so kind, smart, knowledgeable and thorough. What more can you ask for in a good doctor? Suffice it to say, he took really good care of my eye. Funny thing though… Before departing, he happened to ask me where I normally go for my eye care? I told him my story (above) and he was just shocked that as a long-standing patient at the Eyecare Center, this how they treated me. Yea… I must admit I’m shocked too---not to mention very disappointed. In closing, guess who’s won MY business!! 😊
Worst office Ive ever been to. The woman who saw me had the personality of wet cardboard. Their salesperson was pushy; they basically force you to talk to one while your eyes are dilated and wont accept Im buying online for an answer. Dilation takes 15 minutes, but the optometrist forgot I existed for 45. Just terrible.
Bought glasses from the myEyeDr in cary and a year later a nose piece breaks on my glasses. I go into the one located at white oak and it was replaced but unfortunately one of the associates scratched my lense pretty bad. I quickly brought it to their attention. They told me they would order me a new lense. It came in so i went to get it put in. They went above and beyond replacing not only the one they damaged but my other one too. Wonderful and friendly 10/10

I will never go back again they have had my glasses since the 5th and no called me to tell me they had them at all so I call today and she tells me that I shouldve been called but I wasnt but dont you think after almost a month of having someone glasses you would call more then one time. This was such poor service
Maybe youll have a good experience here...if you look rich...they told my sister who asked to see some glasses that she probably couldnt afford them. Who says that? She left crying and obviously wont be going back

They did photos of the inside of my wifes eyes as part her eye exam and then charged $40 for it. They never asked if she wanted that service. They just did it and then charged for it. They are crooks in my opinion and will never get another dime of my money.
The staff is courteous and Dr. Godino is absolutely wonderful. They provide eye exams and care for everyone in my family.

I will NEVER go here again!!! I placed order for contacts to be in by a wedding date. And I did not get them back in time as they said I would. I called to place my order on a Friday and Ryan answered the phone and told me that he could not place my order because a Dr. had not finalize my prescription. I told him I had the finalized copy with Doctors signature. He insisted I was wrong. I called back and got a Karen and she put me on hold and never came back to phone. Then I called the next day, (Saturday). I got someone different and they placed my order over the phone and told me Ryan was wrong he should have placed my order. I was told they would be back by Thursday next week. I called on Weds to see if they came back early and this person told me they did not put order in until Tuesday so they will not be in until 5 days later the following week. Well, today is Monday the next week that they said and I just called and spoke with manager and they are still not in. There is just too much confusion. If it will take a long time for orders to come in they should say that. Never lead your customer to believe something you cant do or have no control over.
