Nice little shop. The cupcakes were very tasty however, they were a little dry. My guess is because they are sitting in the case and are not completely covered in frosting but a dab on the top. They were still very tasty and beautiful. The Ice cream is standard fare as it is just soft serve, but you can get swirl which is appreciated. I love the decorations in the restaurant and will be going again. A welcome addition to 3rd street

Stunning venue with the cutest decors! The interior design simply begs you in to come in for your insta shots with the pink roses wall deco.The Cake Shake is absolutely beautiful too, wonderful to drink too. Perfect for summer and very enjoyable experience!

Hey sugar is a textbook model in executing decadence both in their design of their space and the taste of their fantastic sweet delights. Weve now visited several times, and have yet to be disappointed. For fun, I decided to even grab a coffee while there just to see if that was the one place they werent as strong, but I was pleasantly surprised. The young lady behind the counter asked if I wanted dark or light roast beans for my espresso based beverage, and executed the drink perfectly. If youre looking for an over the top dessert experience in the western suburbs, this is definitely the place to go.

This is SUCH a cute bakery. Everything inside and out is so nicely decorated and all the desserts too. I tried the cookie dough bites and they were to die for! Highly recommend

This place...is REALLY cool. Def an instascene but also just a fun, tasty place to take the fam. I ordered a cupcake and a chocolate puerh cuz Im bougie like that but I wish I ordered the wild ice cream or the decadent hot cocoa. Which ends tomorrow as they move into summer drinks...which look amazing!! Magic color changing lemonade that the staff gave us samples of when they saw us spying on their Instagram photoshoot! Im def going back.

SMORES FUN HOT CHOCOLATE is hands down the best hot chocolate ever. The desserts served here are extraordinary... There is a huge variety from ice cream to cupcakes to lattes. So much to offer! The interior (and exterior!) is gorgeous! A definite insta space ;)I will be back!

An adorable ice cream shop! Gourmet ice cream and flavors, great cones, the staff was excellent! Theres cupcakes, coffee, lattes, and toffee! Indoor and outdoor seating. Little pricey but WORTH IT.

Lets start by talking about how cute the inside of the shop is! Its freaking adorable in there. The ice cream is delicious and so are the cupcakes. I love the colored cones they offer and they have a good selection of pre-created ice cream but can also make you what you ask for. I ordered a black cone with vanilla ice cream and the 24K gold leaf (they were out of gold so I got silver). My 2 younger sisters ordered the uh-oh orea in a cup with a pink cone on the side and the other ordered the Cloud 9- which comes with a huge serving of cotton candy on top. My mom ordered the Espress Yo Self and that was actually really good considering it had espresso in it. When you order the espress yo self they ask if you want a light or medium roast shot, so its nice that you get a choice. The hot chocolates smell delicious and I intend to order one on my next trip. They do their best to have everyone maintain 6ft. distance and everyone wears their masks correctly inside. The employees are so friendly and kind- it seems like its hard to find employees like them these days. I will most definitely make the 40 minute trip again to keep trying different menu items, or just make up my own creations. I definitely recommend if you like trying new places and like hot chocolate, ice cream, or cupcakes. They do have a few other items on the menu, like truffles or shakes.

This place is so fabulous! Its beautiful inside and out! The goodies I grab from here all taste so good! The staff was so friendly! Thanked me for stopping in, because I mentioned I didnt live close and I saw someone check in here so I had to come here and check it out! And boy am I happy I did! My daughter was in aw of this place! We will totally be returning!

Hey Sugar is a fun dessert shop that offers cup cakes, homemade soft serve ice cream, shakes and coffee. We had the special soft serve - Cloud 9, PB, and s’mores . Cloud 9 was a super hit with my son. All were very tasty . Prices are on the higher side and would go again for a special occasion .

This place is heaven for sugarholics like me. We got the Cloud 9 and Over the Rainbow. Will definitely be coming back for another sugar high!

We literally stumbled upon this sweetshop during our date night. Unfortunately, I walked in as I am intermittent fasting (why????). This is what my wife ordered: Salted Caramel Chaos. It is a Dessert hit chocolate on sugar steriods. She said it was very rich. I settled for a Himayan Lavender Herbal Tea. The flavouring of the tea was a pleasant surprise and very fragrant.This place is worth returning to with our kids.... IF they behave.BONUS: When the owner swings by your table to ensure our experience was memorable, it definitely warrants a photo-op!Please support local family-run businesses like this.

Fun local shop. Great treats. Cupcakes are good with a lighter (not dense) icing. Ice cream is good The had fruity Pebble covered waffle cone might have to try that next time.

Went to Hey Sugar today with the family. It is such a cool place with a great menu and atmosphere. The kids that were working there were so attentive, respectful and friendly. Will definitely be going on a regular basis.

This is a beautifully decorated ice cream shop with inventive desserts, including a chicken and waffle ice cream and a 24 karat gold topped ice cream among many other delights. The service was great, as I took a lot of time to decide what I wanted and the workers were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, explaining all of the items in detail to me. Everything about this place is fun fun fun, including the peekaboo door on the bathroom. When you turn the light switch on, the clear glass becomes opaque. Everyone should pay this place a visit this summer.

Had the truffles and emperors green tea which was loose leaf steeped while I waited. Tea is fantastic and the truffles were amazing. Ill be back

Not only are the cupcakes super delicious, the owner was incredibly helpful when I was looking for a way to send my mom some cupcakes on her birthday. While I no longer live in the area, we always make a stop when I come visit my mom. I definitely recommend Hey Sugar and love supporting local.

Hey Sugar opened last July. They have cupcakes with either Buttercream frosting or cream cheese frosting. Many of the cupcakes are also filled with things like chocolate ganache or marshmallow. I went with a cookie dough cupcake which had an amazing ball of cookie dough on top. My wife got one that had a hard chocolate coating, marshmallow fiiling and a chocolate ganache. Both were delicious. Need to try the peanut butter one next time.

Great place, especially for your social media stories! I had Cloud 9. It was decorative, for sure. No arguing that. But the decor didn’t add to the quality. The flavor of it all was ordinary. You’re pretty much paying for the looks and not the taste. BUT, you do get a lot of quantity which may also be what you’re paying for. Be prepared to tell whoever you’re going with — assuming you’re not going alone — if they can finish the rest for you (AFTER the pandemic, of course, try not to share food! :P)

The place is stunning! And the Cloud9 I order was so tasty! It was prepared super fast. The staff was really friendly and willing to help. And the ice cream was soft,creamy, and so tasty. I am coming back again to try more options from the menu! Highly recommended

Beautiful decorations and set up, I love the fun ice cream flavors and all the crazy toppings you can put on them! :) (cotton candy, candy, sprinkles, etc.) Had me in sugar heaven! :) The cupcakes are dense and very small for the price however, they are $4 each which is a lot compared to sprinkles or smallcakes and they have bigger cupcakes and more flavors! The owner seems very sweet though and kudos to her for starting this business mid pandemic, that certainly takes a lot of courage and that should not go unmentioned and I wish her all the best. I think with a few menu tweaks/and upgrades to some of the flavor options and some of her recipes this can be a really successful place!

Super cute shop that fits right into downtown Geneva. They really transformed the space into something really bright and fun.The staff was very helpful and friendly. I tried the Jack and Jill cupcake--an incredibly chocolatey cupcake with marshmallow inside. It was amazing. Their display case was filled with a variety of other baked goods that I would totally go back to try out.

Was super cute and unique! The girls working there were very helpful and told us about the different items they had!

Wonderful shop and everything is amazing.

There aren’t words to describe this place except, WOW!!!! My wife and our kids drove an hour, on a dear friend’s recommendation and we are ever so thankful that we have friends who care enough to share great experiences. The decor is so whimsical and takes you back to your days of childhood. I love the tub. The staff was super friendly and so professional. I can go on and on about the ice cream, cupcakes, aaaamazing coffee and so much more I want to try, each time that I visit. The espresso ice cream combo tastes like heaven. It is just plain Delicious and da bom! I would definitely recommend anyone to visit this gem. Two Thunbs UP!

I thought I was going to be amazed but everything seemed to be just average!! Mine was nothing like the description . Pictures on the website do not match the product. A bit overpriced I thought.

I tried their Medium roast here (I got an Americano), and it was really nice! Not overpowering, but still had a distinctive chocolaty aftertaste. Havent tried anything else, but thats what another trip is for! Would recommend 👌

My friend and I went here the past weekend and had a macchiato and a Emperor min meritage tea. Both drinks were prepared quickly and tasted absolutely delicious. We will be visiting again soon to get some ice cream and cupcakes!

The BlackBottom cupcake is good, the Blue Matcha is tasteless (taste like water), the place is cute, little bit pricey. Maybe next time need to try other stuff and re-review it.

Beautiful shoppe. Pricey ice cream at almost $10. Fun flavors. My husband loved the cotton candy! I was not that impressed with the Espresso yo self flavor. It was merely chocolate ice cream with strong espresso poured over it and topped with whip cream and sprinkles. The reason I chose this flavor was because of the espresso and the stroopwafel. IMO the medium roast espresso was really strong and the half dollar sized stroopwafel was really hard to chew. I might have liked it better slightly heated and softened.
