This death by chocolate creation was SO good! 1) ask for extra napkins and 2) if you go when it’s raining and when she opens, you might be able to avoid the line (some wait times have taken 2 hours).Plan a trip for Georgetown to get yours!

Absolutely delicious! Boyfriend and I stopped by while in town and enjoyed a Cookies and Cream Cattywampus Milkshake together. It was insanely good, and finished it in minutes! The cupcake and cookie on top added a nice touch, and I was pleasantly surprised that the shake was in a glass mason jar. Definitely will come back during the summer with friends. :)

Ordered a strawberry cake for my daughters birthday and 24 different flavored cup cakes. The cake had NO strawberry flavor and the icing was not sweet icing that I had requested, not sure if it was some type of whipped or cream cheese, but the flavor was awful. The cup cakes were two flavors, chocolate and Vanilla. I could not give the left over cake and cupcakes away, I tried to get someone to take it home I hated to see $120.60 go to the trash can, but no one wanted it, so it went to the trash.I do not recommend this Bakery for cakes :(

My turtle shake was deliciously rich with a homemade brownie and caramel that rivals our family’s own favorite recipe. The bakery and creamery is housed in a vintage, baby blue building that has instant curb appeal, with inviting flowers and herbal arrangements flanking the outdoor seating. I will warn you, though, after enjoying your generous, luscious shake, you will definitely need a wet wipe to clean up stinky hands and fingers!!🤗

You, dear Tia, have made me look very good. The other people on the American Legion Post 24 committee who stuck me with the assignment of a birthday cake that I didnt know a dang thing about selecting, were saying, when they saw the cake YOU came up with, things likeIts so pretty!Its delightful!Its perfect!And wouldnt you know the 25th cupcake wouldnt fit in the arrangement on the car that we were using. So, someone had to get stuck disposing of it. As I was the one that made the arrangements for the cake and the cupcakes, I once again got stuck sacrificing myself as the taste tester.I found the cupcakes moist and delicious and the frosting even better.Others also found the cupcakes and the cake itself very tasty along with the fondant (which I have never before enjoyed eating) but did find yours tasty in texture and flavor.I was delighted with your design, taste, flavor and service. The committee was impressed and the members loved it.Couldnt have been better. Thank you very much.

You definitely get your moneys worth! Heads up, each mason jar is 13$ each. But you get to keep the jar. We split one and it was more than enough. One of the best icecream and cake places in Georgetown! I highly recommend this spot!🇺🇸😎👍

Are you ready for a sugar coma? We tried the very extravagant milkshakes with everything here. And wow they are not kidding. My wifes salted caramel shake came covered in salted caramel with a cupcake, caramel corn, and whip cream. Truly decadent on a Saturday afternoon. Comes recommend while taking a scenic route through the Kentucky hills.

Take the kids for a real great and get a cattywampus shake. They are huge and it took two of us to finish just one. They are heavenly and worthy the wait should the line be long and it normally is. The bakery items are all amazing as well. Support local and honk about them for your baked goods

I called Sweet Matriarch to find out if she could have some cupcakes ready on a Friday morning for one of my team members. She was very kind and willing to take care of my needs for cupcakes. She met me early before she actually opened up to give me my cup cakes and was very kind. The cupcakes were very moist and very tasty. I will say that they are a whipped butter cream in which I prefer a the thicker heavier icing better. but they were still delicious-very tasty if you like the whipped butter cream, you cant ask for any better. Above all, I appreciated her kindness.

Awesome customer service and awesome milkshakes in a little blue shop! We will definitely visit when we are in Georgetown again.

Giving it an extra star for presentation but thats about it, the milk shake I got was called death by chocolate, I found it really difficult to eat without creating a giant mess, the cost of the shake was around 14$ which I think is too expensive for the experience, it takes about 6$ to make it and I would feel right paying maybe 9$ for it. There isnt anything special about the brownie it came with or the ice cream. I should have just gone to kroger and gotten a tub of bluebell, it would have been cheaper.

This stop was well worth it. The shakes were amazing. Full of ingredients and better with every bite. I would definitely drive the hour and a half from my home to go back!

Tia made my wifes bridal shower cake, our wedding cake and cupcakes, and a cookie cake for me. Everything was absolutely delicious every single time. The cakes and cupcakes were so beautiful and looked exactly the way my wife envisioned them. She was always available to answer our questions and so sweet and kind. We highly recommend her and will be buying from her again in the future!

Cattywampus shakes we got today were amazing. The brownie on top of the mint chocolate chip shake was the best Ive had in my life, hands down.

We were 2nd in line, and waited 19 minutes in the heat for our three CATTYWAMPUS milkshakes.We went for the presentation of these desserts.The presentation did not disappoint.You get to keep the mason jars.It was 13.00 per kid.We had to freeze the left overs.It was heaven for kids but probably 25000 calories per each milkshake. So we will probably be back in 5 years lol.You can park on the road and wait in your car for your order.I went for the presentation and my kids loved it.Regular milk shakes are 7.50

If you appreciate baked good that taste incredible, made with VERY high quality ingredients, Sweet Matriarch is where you should be. Cake, brownies, cupcakes have all been fantastic. Using real, chemical free, locally sourced and organic where possible ingredients make superior baked goods.There is no other place in Georgetown where I would buy baked goods. Ive tried 4 others and its not even close.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sweet Matriarch for my June 2015 wedding! We wanted pies and desserts instead of the traditional wedding cake. Tia, is wonderful. She is extremely creative, professional, easy to work with, and is passionate about her products. We had such a hard time deciding on desserts, because everything was so delicious! Her Kentucky Proud desserts are very high quality, and she works regularly with local vendors to make sure that her ingredients are fresh and delicious. We ended up having 5 desserts at the wedding: a Day at the Races Pie (chocolate/pecan), 2 types of handpies (chocolate, and coconut) and 2 types of tarts (a strawberry, and a berry lemon curd ). Our guests raved about the desserts all night and the weeks following the wedding! They appreciated the quality, presentation, and creativity. I will definitely recommend Sweet Matriarch for any large event, (weddings, parties, holidays) or even to just enjoy a single dessert in their adorable shop in downtown Georgetown!

My experience was great. Very friendly owner. She mad a beautiful and wonderful tasting cake for my moms 84th birthday. I will return to this establishment and tell my friends to do the same.

I have to say, their cupcakes are the best. We went there kind of late so we couldnt get much but I got some cupcakes. They are the best cupcakes I ever had and I dont even like cupcakes! They were the best!

I first tried this bakery by ordering my step-sons birthday cake. I love that NO Crisco is used in the buttercream icing, this icing is delightfully light and not cloyingly sweet. It is amazing! Because the birthday cake was so incredible, I decided to order my wedding cake here too. It was absolutely beautiful, and my guests raved about my wedding cake. I love this is a Kentucky Proud bakery as well. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about a bakery that takes as much pride in their ingredients as they do in how something looks.

Cattywampus shakes delicious!

My husband and I wanted to check this bakery, Im a pastry chef and enjoy trying every sweet place everywhere I go. By mistake we went first to another bakery that is in the same street. Big mistake!We bought 6 cupcakes in this other place, they turn out to be the worst I ever have. Very sad to me that they sell not just box cake, but dry cakes, and super crisco icing. No Bueno.When we found Matriarch and we realize this was the place we were looking for we only bought one cupcake. Another big mistake!This turned out to be the most awesome cupcake. You could taste that was make with love and fresh ingredients.We cant wait to go back and buy not one but a 12 of cupcakes and everything else theyll have !!!

The best bakery around! The staff is always friendly and welcoming, the place is beautifully decorated and smells yummy. The food itself is beyond delicious! Went in today Feb. 14th for our pre-ordered chocolate covered strawberries (which they offered 10% off if you pre-ordered! How awesome is that?) I couldnt even wait to get home before having one. They were hands down the best strawberries I have ever had! We also couldnt leave with just the strawberries as everything looked so great! And it WAS!!
