This store was large and had a great variety of things. I love the fact that they had homemade honey. They had a variety of other items such as seeds for planting crops to enjoying wildflowers. On the flip side the chick enclosures could have been done better. Ive been to many places that had a more comforting environment for chicks.

This is not just pet supplies... Its a farm store. I go there for mulch every year as do many others... Good price. I also like their plants. This year they have about quadrupled the plant area. There are natives and ones that will grow well in our area. Im very pleased with my purchases yesterday.

Everyone is always so friendly. Even when theyre helping you. And the smiles never seem fake or forced. Plus, you cant beat their prices!

I have found this to be a great store for spring and fall plants. More economical than local competition and good variety. Also good source for compost, fertilizer and basic garden supplies. They sell thousands of baby chicks in spring. Small children will really enjoy an outing there.

I hate to see it close. Never have had a question that wasnt answered and where I didnt leave more knowledgeable than I expected. Take advantage of their closing sale. It will be a win-win situation all around.

The master gardener is fantastic. Explained location of my home and what type of plants I was looking for. His recommendations were spot on. Store itself is great. Reminds me of the feed stores back in the Midwest; knowledgeable but most importantly helpful and friendly.

Meh..... grew up in small town, farmed a good part of my adult life so used to farm supply stores. Just because you carry a million things for a rural life doesnt mean you have to be dirty and disorganized. They may have exactly what you need but good luck finding it. And dont expect help.

Absolutely disgusting. There were cat feces everywhere, dead mice right as you walk in. Two dead chicks, and the poor rabbit they were trying to sell was crammed in a small cage with nothing to do. I went to buy dog food and there was cat piss on the dog food bags. One cat food bag had been chewed through and a large amount has been eaten. The smell of cat feces and pee PUNCHES you in the face. They didn’t have anything that I needed and it took 20 minutes just for the lady at the counter to stop flirting and giggling to some guy to help me look for what I needed. Never coming back and I’m telling everyone I know not to come here either. I’ve also posted my reviews on a bunch of other sites. This place is disgusting. Save your money for the quality you deserve.

We rely on them for our pot-bellied pig feed supplies amongst other things. Not as large of a product selection as Tractor Supply. Hard working folks and we feel like we are shopping more local when going here.

They have a pretty decent selection of organic plants, but customer service is not in their vocabulary! The younger girls are all sweet, but the rest of the employees are so rude we will not be going back. We have spent a great deal of money here since we just moved to the area, but I found another store that doesnt act like you are putting them out when you do business with them! The 2 stars are only for the 2 younger girls that work the register, they are sweet and helpful. The rest of the store is full of spider webs and rude older people!

Went there on a job, it was wet and rainy, so needed gloves and rain coat. Fair price. ladies up front helpful, and cute....

I went to this place to look for a training cot for my dog. As soon as I walked into the building I wanted to throw up. The smell of cat feces was overwhelming. But I’m a veterinarian so I have a pretty strong stomach, but I definitely wanted to get in and get out. I passed through the pet supplies and there was a cage with a bed and a litter box. The box was FULL of nasty dehydrated FECES and it was absolutely disgusting. I don’t know how they don’t smell it, or how other customers don’t say anything, or how they can walk by that complete mess and not feel some obligation to clean out the box. I did find a cot, it was $91. REALLY??? I drove 2 minutes down the road to petsmart and bought one for $30 bucks.PLEASE CLEAN THE CAT LITTER. YOUR CATS AND CUSTOMERS WILL THANK YOU. EVERYONE WINS.

Great supplies store. Only 4 stars as their potted plants dont have prices or information on them.Be aware that to enter the site you enter from Wolf Ranch Parkway, not University Avenue, there is no entry off University Avenue and Google Maps tries to get you to come in the wrong place.

I have never had an issue with customer service. They have always been very nice and helpful to me. I like to buy chicks and ducklings here because they are always healthy and they will special order. They have been out of the feed I wanted the last two times I went so I have ended up going to Tractor Supply for food.They really need a better online presence. There is no real website and their facebook page requires you to friend them.

Staff is knowledgeable, and they carry a really wide variety of poultry, as well as supplies. They have everything Ive needed when Ive gone in and if they didnt have it in stock they could tell me when they would have it. Customer service is great in my opinion.

This place is 50/50 for me. Sometimes everyone is helpful, sometimes they arent. The cat cages make me sad as they are not tidy and they are small. The chick area isnt much better.

I hate to have to do this to a local company, but they shouldnt treat people like this, it isnt Texan. Had them pick up riding lawn mower and Honda self propelled push mower for tune up and services. They kept our mowers for over a month. I had to call several times for updates. While they had our mowers, I had to pay to have my acres cut.They lost our Honda mower and sent us a Husqvarna to replace it. Still charged us for the tuneup on lost push mower. Asked for a new tire, blade sharping, tuneup on riding mower. The tire still goes flat between mowings, blades still seem dull. I hope they changed the oil. My husband is just furious over losing his push mower and upset that the almost $500 we spent was wasted. I have called and talk to them about this,. They said they would get back to me, it has been months.

I should have read and trusted the reviews. Dealing with this company has been a terrible experience. We purchased baby chickens (new chicken owners) and got next to no help. The majority of workers know nothing about chickens. They told us to wait by the chickens for help that never came and we finally had to go find someone. The employees kept saying they knew very little about chickens. They couldnt advise about type of food to buy for the babies or what medicated meant. There was a dead chicken and when we pointed it out we were told that it happens but no attempt to remove it. The chickens were in small cages. We werent even told that two day old chickens needed to be under a heating light. These folks could care less about chickens! The only reason I am giving two stars is because I was happy to find some organic plants for sale. But then I accidentally left the plant on the counter and do you think the lady was even paying attention to remind me? Of course not! I had to drive all the way back. Oh and they act very inconvenienced by your questions and mere presence in the store. One of the most disappointing customer service experiences ever!!! I expected more out of a small town feedstore. I have since found a different feedstore in a nearby town.

Everythings perfect! These ignorant city folk are afraid to get their shoes dirty, and wait a few days! Ive adopted 5 full grown hens and over 150 chicks in the past 8 years of doing business with them. Customer service is great, and I will recommend this fine retailer to anyone!

Pretty typical small town feed store. The have a nice plants selection, sell chicks, and seem to have classes in there occasionally.

Old time farm store, has some cute things and useful stuff, a little hard to navigate though.

Great for low cost shot clinic for your animals but it stinks in the store.

Stay away from this place, bad customer service. Called about servicing my lawn mower and was placed on holding waiting a few minutes with no one to pick up the phone. Called back and told the employee my call was never sent to where lawn mowers are repaired. She told me, Im busy.Knew right there if their employees are bold enough to say that to me over the phone during a first interaction, they are capable of screwing up my lawn mower on purpose because theyre having a bad day or for any other reason.Dont do it to yourself just choose another store.

This weekend was their going out of business sale ... Very crowded and long lines. Always enjoyed shopping there. Im going to miss it.

I agree with a previous statement..they need a better online presence. I live way out in Hutto, and I dont want to drive so far just to find they dont have what I need. The food/supplies section online has said, coming soon for years. Im disappointed.

Personality is lacking from store staff and thats going to hurt them until its fixed. Hire someone with it and watch the business grow or continue as is and youll be in this rut until you close.

I thought this place looked so quaint and local when I would drive by. I decided to stop in to see if they carried my dog food and I was totally turned off once I got back to the pet food area. Cob webs everywhere, filthy shelves and bags of food. Not to mention the poor baby chicks that are stuffed under a shelf and completely overpopulated for the cage sizes. Some of them were dead or very sickly, the animal control or some such authority needs to visit this place. I felt so sad, I will never ever go back.

Customer service was horrible. She was short and abrupt and unwilling to help and provide information. She made me feel like I was bothering her. If you hate your job, quit, but dont take it out on the customers. This is the third time we have been treated poorly by this woman. This is not a disgruntled employee, its a disgruntled owner.

The place will be permanently closed very soon. Theyre currently selling off all the fixtures and shelving. I like the fact that they had some specialized Purina brand feeds and that they had a continual selection of pullets. Really helped us build our flock out because we didnt have to order online or wait until spring for another feed store to carry them locally.
