This place is outstanding and highly recommended. I originally went to Batteries Plus Bulbs to get a new battery for my wifes car remote. After using the remote with the new battery the remote still did not work properly. You had to literally be in top of the car for the remote to work. I was thinking the remote itself was defective. I went to Batteries Plus Bulbs to inform them of the same. The rep tested my remote and tested the battery. He informed me the battery was defective and he gave me a new battery for free. The highest compliment you can give a local business is that they are honest. Batteries Plus Bulbs is an honest business and I encourage you to give them your business.

I needed a new battery for my 2015 Hyundai Elantra, because of the surprised cold snap on January 27th or 28th, we experienced. I didnt want to take it to the dealership, which would have charged me $280 for my battery, and additional fee for Labor. So, my ex-husband suggested I call Batteries Plus. I called and explained my situation, then came into the store. Even though, Vince and Justin, knew I was coming to purchase a battery and have them install it, they still wanted to check if I even needed a new battery. The associates who work in this Glen Ellyn location have always been courteous. Even though prices are somewhat high here, they are always helpful and it is an easy location for parking and getting to, which is helpful as I am handicapped. Great selection and helpful service! :)

I needed a battery for my sump pump. They have a great option instead of the Basement Watchdog battery from HD (I think Batteries Plus also carries the same battery). The Duracell was a better price and came with the acid already in it. There are 6 caps and I replaced one with my yellow cap for the acid level sensor and hooked up the terminals. One of the posts is smaller than the Watchdog, but the nut held my terminal with a washer under the nut. My original battery lasted over 6 years, but the price is about $40 less for this Duracell, so I will try it.

Needed a new car battery immediately. From identifying this problem to it being completely solved was 30 minutes. Car wouldnt start for the third morning in a row. Went online to Batteries Plus Bulbs. Found the battery I needed. Ordered it online. (After jumping car) drove to store, very nice young man had my battery waiting at the desk. We went outside. He took out old battery and put in the new one. Total time at store 10 minutes with great price and great service!

Ordered online. The store internet was down, but they still allowed me to pickup the battery. Excellent customer service. However, the battery terminal hardware was poorly designed. The hardware screws were short, and the square nuts spin inside terminals, requiring jamming the nut, while also screwing it down.

Staff is very knowledgeable over the phone and everyone seemed helpful. What killed it for me was when the guy said if I wanted to have a load test done on my motorcycle battery that it would take overnight. What?! I could go to Advance and have it done in 30 seconds. There were 2 other people behind me in line, so why not just tell me you can do it after helping the other customers?

First time I called to find out battery I needed because couldnt find my battery on the website. Person who answered was helpful and mentioned equivalent battery by different brand. I got off phone and then couldnt find the battery suggested and had to call back and different person answered and was not knowledgeable nor was he phone friendly. I had to have him transfer me to someone else who did help me. I suggested that they not have that previous person answering their calls.

Brought two watches here to get the battery replaced. Both watches had screwbacks.Anyways, they had this cheap tool to open up the watches. The guy wasnt able to open my watches. He said it was too tight.He gave me the watches back and told me to take it to a jeweler. OK no big deal. But he scratched up both of my watches with his cheap tool.Anyways, I wouldnt recommend this place. Especially for expensive watches. They will damage ur watch and scratch it up. Take it to a jeweler instead.

Ordered online for in-store pickup. First store called me back and said they didnt have the item I purchased even though the website did say that that particular store had it. Then the order cancellation over the phone was very cumbersome. I went back to the website and ordered the same item with an in-store pickup from a different store. It worked fine the the second go around.

Ive shopped here a few times and called twice with questions. The staff have been knowledgeable and friendly. You can order non-stock items online and pickup in-store. They accept fluorescent bulbs and batteries for recycling with a nominal fee for the lamps.

Its a good store with very helpful, knowledgeable staff. They always have what I need at a reasonable price. My only issue is that each register transaction takes waaaaaaaaay toooooooooooooo looooooooong to process. I dont know what kind of information they are trying to capture, but it just seems unreasonable how long it takes to ring up an order.

They have the batteries for just about anything! Watch the pricing though. Check Amazon first.

I brought my phone in to fix a little while back and the man was eager to fix my phone but when I got my phone back the home button felt really weird It was hard to press on it, it made squeaky noises along with a sound that sounds like a spring

2 stars for having a polite staff.I came here because it was the only store with the front glass instock for my samsung s8. Keep in mind this was over 250$ to get replaced. This store was a 25 minute drive there for me. I had an appointment at 10, but got there 20 minutes early. I didnt want to be late. The guy at the counter gave me my paperwork which said it would be done at 11, but he said 1130 just to be safe. I waited in my car in the parking lot, went back inside at 1125 to be told it would be another 10-15 minutes. Came back 15 minutes later and it was just finished. He handed me my phone and the glass was seperating. I asked if it was supposed to be like that and he said it just needs some pressure for 15-20 minutes. As im walking out the door, i felt a hole on the back, turn it over to see that my camera cover is missing, and had to go back in the store and wait for them to help two other customers. He takes my phone back for a couple minutes and brings it back with the cover and im on my way.. finally. I got there at about 940 and wasnt leaving until 1155So i sat on it for my 25 minute drive home. When i got home, it looked a little better, but i put a stack of books on it for another 25 minutes hoping it would help. It didnt. Theres noticeable gaps on both the front and the back of my phone, making it not feel slick and smooth like it did before. Not only that, they forgot to take off the film covering the ear speaker before putting the glass on, so i couldnt hear phone calls with my case on the phone. I then went to my local batteries plus store to see if they could help. Left my phone there for over an hour only to be emailed saying i had to wait until the next day when their samsung tech was in. Came in the next day, and it took the tech less than 5 minutes to fix, but im pretty sure he just cut the film out with a knife, which left a nice silver scratch in my black ear speaker. All of this happened because of a poor replacement job. For 250$, you would expect a good job, but instead i got a poor job, which resulted in 2 additional trips to a different store. Considering contacting corporate over this

This was not a good experience. Made an appt for Saturday at 10 a.m. Got a phone call asking to change it until noon, not convenient but OK since they said it would take 5 min to fix the battery in an otherwise fine Iphone. Got there at noon and they said it would be at least 45 min. The only guy who could fix it was at the register helping whoever walked in the door and the other two employees were in back. I asked if maybe one of them could come to the register since we were now pretty far behind in our day and we had the appt. Nice enough guy fixes the battery and brings it out, we pay and realize the home button no longer works. The fix-it guy cant get a new home button and try to repair it, we cant see or talk to the manager except during the middle of the business day Monday.So: Entered store with 1 fully working phone with a battery that drained fast trying to avoid buying a new phone. After 8 phone calls and a couple of lost hours left store with damaged phone with a fake home button on the screen as a temp fix and more hours to come arguing with the manager. I cant suggest using this business.

Got my batteries. If you go here, bring lube if you plan on getting rammed by the prices. . First and last time I shop there. They charged $8 bucks for a pack of 2 of the CR2025 batteries of Rayovac. I can get them at Walgreens; thats right WALGREENS, cheaper by 6 dollars, that includes this brand, Energizer and Duracell. I can see a 30% mark-up, but 250-450%, seriously!They also charged my colleague almost $28 dollars for some Asian brand battery NuOn 357 battery, which I think it is their house brand. That one is $6 dollars a 4 pack. My god, I thought Radio Shack was bad when they were around. This place will be the next to go once Amazon comes out with their on site stores. The one thing I will say is the staff was helpful, which is why I gave it 2 stars.
