Im giving three stars because of past visits but today the customer service was AWFUL!! This lady (name was Nasha) was so rude. She slowly walked over to us flip flopping her way and then just looked at us. She clearly had an issue with us because she was polite to the customer in front of us (Im sure you can figure out why without me saying the term). Its also an old dirty building but they do have a large supply of products.

The staff is kind and the prices are great. I get my lashes and nails there and every time I go in I have a great experience. I’m surprised not many people know about this gem!

Wonderful Place. The girls are always so welcoming and helpful. Angelica helped me pick out the perfect lashes for a wedding. She was so patient and sweet with me that I had a great experience. I don’t know much about lashes but she was a great teacher I will definitely be back. Thank you United Beauty

The ladies working this evening really helped us out! They did a fantastic job helping us find a wig for my daughter and all the products needed for it. They made my daughter feel beautiful. Their customer service was the best. I cant thank them enough.

I love going here! I just moved to Arizona from Detroit Mi and as a black woman I need my hair products and they definitely have them! They are personable, very friendly, well stocked and clean! I love going there I dont care about the drive stop in trust me you wont be disappointed these ladies are wonderful.

I was just in the Dunlap store to purchase a wig for my client! I owned a beauty salon in central Phoenix for 40 years! I have done business with United since it was founded! The clerk at the Dunlap store acted like I was wasting her time checking styles and colors! I walked over to the door to ck the color in the natural light and she started screaming at me of taking it out of the store! I had no intention of going out with the plastic head with the wig attached. She kept on being disrespectful to me! I left and will never go back! Lost a sale!!

Not sure why people say its the most expensive for extension hair. I have been to almost all the hair supply companys in Phoenix and I always come back here for the quality and low prices. The staff is great and they always have what I need. If they dont they go out of their way to get it from a different store and bring it to the store close to me. I do recommend going here bigtime.

They were understaffed as i waited 20 minutes to be check out and they tried to over charge me for the items including one wig that was on display... They supposed to take extra 10% off on the wig and instead try to charge me 29.99 when on their website the wigs was cheaper due being on sale and also was supposed to give 25%off since it customer appreciation day on the day i came. So really was supposed to pay 18.99 for the wig. After waiting for 20min to be check out... I just want to go home rather going back and forth with the staff member. Praying for for beauty supplies stores with better customer service and being fully staffed.

Caps are ghetto. Customer service was okay. Did not have my colors wig . Nice clean establishment.. need to restock...everything I wanted in wig style was out of stock. !!!! Not very informative about hair like prices. Nobody seem to know prices which was confusing since computers shut down. Oh well overall getting something was better than getting nothing seems we drove 30 plus miles. 👀👀👀

We decided to try this place out because Sally Beauty Supply is always out of extensions. We were thinking this place was going to be expensive.. boy were we wrong. It is so affordable and has a HUGE selection on extensions, wigs, hair product etc. We also had a very pleasant experience to the two young colored ladies. They had amazing customer service, even made sure to ask if we needed help finding anything while we were looking around. This will now be our hair go-to store.

During my first experience with the devastation of my cancer diagnosis and the subsequent loss of my very long, much beloved natural hair, I was lucky enough to find a much-needed port in the storm. I knew that I would want a wig or two to help soothe my battered self confidence and United Beauty Supply had any possible look I could have wanted. What’s more, the brilliant Rebbeca, the customer assistant who took my hand and helped me decide what wigs/pieces were flattering on me versus those that fell short, always went the extra mile to ensure my satisfaction. Her kindness cannot be overstated.Every wig purchased from United Beauty (14 of them) has held up perfectly; maintaining its shape and luster. I cannot recommend their products or their staff any higher and will absolutely use their store in the future.

I always love coming here to get products for my daughters hair. This time I came in and I was greeted and I found everything I need and started headed to the front to check out. This lady checked me out.....first off I wanna say she never greeted me......second she never asked me if I found everything ok.....third I asked about the concentrator nozzle for the dryer to see if it will fit any dryer and this other lady (who was nice) she answered my question. Now as the nice lady was answering my question the lady that was ringing me up was throwing the items in my bag very angry 😡 and interrupted the lady and I asking for my number. Apparently her name is Nausea 🤣 no wonder why shes really rude so I hope the manager reads this and fires her a$$ cause never in my life have I ever ran into someone rude like her

I only went in there to buy hair extensions and they had a very good selection. The employee that waited on me was very knowledgeable and super nice. They didnt have the length I wanted in stock so she gave me the name and number to call and order them.

This store is represented by some young women who are rude, using profanity and having inappropriate conversations while customers are fully occupying the store. I understand they are only getting 12.15 a hour but that is no excuse for their actions. After being in the store for about 20 minutes because of the lewd behavior happening in this store I left and so did some older women. I feel sorry for the owner as I am sure it is hard to hire a more mature staff at such a hourly rate. Please teach these young women some customer service skills.

I have become a fan of this store!! Ive found some wonderful wigs here!I am super pleased with this beautiful wig on my head! I am so glad that I was able to get the last one! I received great reviews from everyone while I was wearing it! It just looks so natural.I purchased this for my passport picture day. Let me tell you that it is soft, doesnt shed, & fits snuggly on my head.The store just needs more help in the wig department. There is just always a line, so expect to be waiting, unless there is more than 1 person working back there. 🤷🏽The ladies are always so bubbly & personable though. 🥰

I would have given it five stars however oh, do not like the fact that my mom could only try on three wigs.

This is a good starter place for someone looking to buy a wig for the first time, or find a cute wig to sport for the weekend. There are many synthetic wigs that are reasonably priced. They’re for short-term use, but they’re viable. They’ll also cut the lace for you if you ask! I have yet to shop here for human hair wigs, but I will update this review if I do.

Today I stumbled across this gem! The ladies in the store were extremely pleasant, welcoming and helpful. I had an amazing experience energetically and wouldn’t go spend my money anywhere else. Clean and well organized store with a great variety in hair brands and styles, textures and color.

So I found an item on sale for $4.49 walked to the counter to pay for it and it rang up for a different amount. Well the cashier said that she couldn’t honor the price because she’s not an manager and that there wasn’t a manager on site. I’ve never been anywhere where they can’t honor the sales price. 👎🏻

📣 I went in to the Bell Rd location without much hope or money. The staff was so friendly and she really made me feel comfortable, was empathetic with my needs and when I left I not only got what I needed I still had money left!!! I have been to three of their valley locations and cant say enough about the staff at their Bell Rd store a BB d their Dunlap store. Thank you ladies for helping me through this rough patch, Im very grateful!! 💛

Nice selection but staff seemed young and unprofessional. As a professional stylist it is hard to take a recommendation from someone who is unkept as well as not promoting the hair pieces to their best.

I think your store owner needs to implement a rule that the staff aren’t allowed to buy up and put to the side all the nice shades of hair, leaving none for the rest of us to wear. It is very frustrating I have been coming here for years but lately it has been super not Pleasant shopping. I have been going to the nice large grand mart in Laveen because they and NY Beauty where the girl who used to work for you went and made her own shop. They actually have styles and colors we want and have them available. Stop letting your workers buy up and hide off all the good hair or order more please.

Wish they had a wider variety of hair textures and colors. I have kinky curly hair and prefer the hair I buy to match my natural hair texture. But they have such a limited range of colors for this hair type, mostly browns or blonde but I live lively bright colors.

Horrible customer service. The ladies at this establishment are more worried about discussing their social life with each other rather than assisting customers. A customer should not have to wait until your employees are done with their personal conversations before receiving subpar service.

The employees there are very kind and helpful. They will greet you when you come in the store. An employee helped me find what I needed fast and quick. She understood exactly what I was talking about. There is one on 35th and Dunlap I uses to go to but this one is way bigger and very clean.

Horrible service. Not sure if the ladies are working on commission. But working the counter, running up front to check that person out, is not effective or good business. We had to wait 30 mins and she was still at the register when we walked out...tried to be patience but couldnt...

The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had any hair sore to date . As I walked in the store last weekend there was a blonde lady at the counter who curled her nose up at me, I asked for help finding a certain product And she laughed and looked back down at her phone. I tripped on some metal stuff they had on the ground that is used to hold up wigs and their excuse was they are getting new shipments in. What a sad excuse for a store. I spend a ton of money on hair so if they would have helped me find what I was looking for I probably would’ve spent quite a bit but because they wanted to judge me on the fact I have visible tattoos they will go without my business....

GG really made the hair store trip really special my daughter 14th bday was coming up she kept leaving the counter while we were checking out and GG said just let her be a girl that what the hair store is for. Thank you GG

Rebecca is mean! When I choose to shop I usually a loyal customer and plan on coming back but not here. There is a lady here named Rebecca. Shes very unprofessional. I called to see if I left my bank card at the store and she told me it wasnt there. I called the next day because I knew I left it there and a nicer sounding lady with faux locs told me it was. After that I called again to see if they had a specific kind of hair and Rebecca answered the phone. Her product knowledge wasnt good and she didnt acknowledge that I was on the phone, she ended up hanging up in my face I was so confused. She is very mean. I was ready to spend $500 today on a beautiful piece of hair and some side care products. The store in itself it amazing!

My visit today was different from all the other times Ive been in the store.. not very helpful girls working tonight and. It was frustrating because every wig I wanted had no lighter shads in stock... Wanted at least a dark blonde color and all was available were fake plastic looking blonde or dark colors....i ended up buying two wigs that I hate because there was like no inventory Ave no one wanted to help... Bummer

This location doesnt have a full line of products. But its convenient when Im on that side of town. The place is always overstaffed. One can often times find staff congregated together at the register.. playing catchup or chattering about upcoming dates or outings. Prices are so- so. Some item prices are consistent with other beauty supply stores, while others are a bit steep! They do have a rewards program, which I like.

I was really amazed at this location! My mom goes here frequently so I figured I’d try it out! Literally every staff member was friendly and I didn’t sit around forever waiting for help! First time dying my hair at home and the girl with tattoos helped me from start to finish! And was very informative! Not to mention patient with me and my 4 year old! Even kept her distracted as I took my time! I hope she knows I really appreciated that! THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I EVER BEEN TO A BEAUTY SUPPLY/HAIR STORE and everyone was welcoming and kind! Usually you into places like this and they don’t even say hi! Or look your way! But this one..I loved! I lived in Avondale but this location is definitely worth the drive!

Went because we had to (dont get me started with the ( idea of Asian beauty suppliers).Anywho,,, we ended up going to three different locations in one day - in search of closures which would mirror, or match-up to bundles/tracked human hair of our choice.To our surprise the girls were knowledgeable and instrumental in helping to locate what we needed - even though it was spread throughout three separate locations. We focused on the idea of exploring grand ol Arizona!.

This use to be my go to beauty supply..very friendly and helpful. The location on dunlap ..rude and not helpful at all...both locations I go to(bell rd. And dunlap) have barely had anything on their shelves...hair color...conditioners so I guess I am forced to go to Sally

Shawn was a delight! She provided excellent customer service and was very knowledgeable of product information. I was looking for a ponytail in silver although they did not have a curly one I will go back once their new shipment comes in, I did buy other products. Love this store!

I love this place. Ive gotten two of my wigs from here. The staff here are very very helpful and have helped me to find wigs that o feel comfortable in and have helped me find other products as well. I keep going back here to find my wigs and Id recommend it to anyone else!

The customer service is great, but the prices on the prestretched hair is over priced. This is the location on 59th Ave. Its over priced by $1 to $3.

I used to love this place! They have a great selection of wigs and other products, and the people who work there are great. But the owner stopped letting customers try on the wigs unless they were on display. For years we were allowed to try on the actual color of the wig we wanted to purchase. Now we cant, even with a wig cap on. Knowing how a color looks on you is a huge deal! I have bought several wigs on line since the new rule, and at lower prices, but I miss the fun and success rate of finding the right wig in the right color.

Im new to Phoenix. I guess I should be grateful that at least there is a store that sell black hair products. Im From the south where we have beauty supply stores for black hair in most shopping plazas. Its just not the same. The people helping were nice but its just different not having people who share my hair experience to some extent available to help.

After spending 30 minutes looking for the color hair that I needed with no assistance from anyone in the store, I done stood at the register for five full minutes and still no one came to check me out. I felt completely invisible and after being a customer for 2 years I am no longer sure if I want to continue to shop here. I left my items on the counter and did not make a purchase. No one even noticed I left the store. I guess I could have just walked out with my items. LOL

Love the selection of hair. Although the prices have increased substantially from when I first started going there. But they have expanded stores, locations & selections in doing that. My favorite beauty supply

Nice beauty supply with all the new stuff. Hair extensions, wigs, hair color, nails, they dont know what a home perm is and dont carry any such thing, or rinses for white haired old ladies. Lots of curling irons and straighting irons . Prices are mid to high range.

This store is very clean and organized. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have an amazing variety of wigs. This is my third time here and I have no complaints. I definitely recommend this store

This is just the best wig and beauty supply place in the area that Ive ever been to. They seem to specialize in African American wigs which are beautiful. I have another specialized need which is a small or child sized light colored Bob. I was amazed and really happy to find exactly what I needed here and at a wonderful price. It fit right out of the box and has held up really well with everyday wear. I recently ordered two more. The staff was so nice to me. They went out of their way and ordered them. Since they had to be backordered, I was contacted several times with updates. I love these friendly and efficient people. They also helped select other hair and makeup products and even gave me a discount. This is a welcoming and fun place. Youll come back again and again. Great ethnic mix. I give it my full recommendation.

Look, the only reason I went there in the first place was to go with my wife. It does not deserve a bad rating because I was not in a positive mood. The store was clean and well organized. It had a diverse selection of inexpensive wigs and hair pieces of both human and synthetic hair. Never did I know there were different grades of synthetic hair as there are at that place. The human hair selection was extraordinary.the colors and textures made me want to get some hair put in!I rated it three because the location is not very inviting. I understand that makes the price negotiable. I would never have found the place without my wife. I have two women who depend on the inexpensive o pp toons the so I upgraded it to a four.

Normally I have nothing but positive things to say about the place. After checking out today and got to my car, I realized I was shorted change (twice). It wasnt by much so I didnt go back in, HOWEVER Im writing this so the store is aware and it doesnt become a habit that goes unnoticed. This has never happened before to me and it was busy at the time so, Im going to take it as an accidental slip.

Store is beautiful and so clean and fresh feeling so as you walk in. They have a great selection of products and are very knowledgeable in all the products. Prices are reasonable and they have products to fit every budget. Staff is very friendly and helpful

My wife is going through chemotherapy for breast cancer. Two of our daughters brought her here for a wig.We returned for some eye makeup for her, and to look at shavers or trimmers for me.The staff was very helpful, showing me the limited supply of trimmers in stock. They were also very helpful for my wifes makeup needs, and gave her several options to choose from.We look forward to future visits.
