We have always heard about other people’s nightmare stories regarding their remodel. Our experience with Payless Kitchen Cabinets (PKC) was fantastic from beginning to end. Our salesperson Matt came to our home and was knowledgeable about the products and the company. He brought samples for us to see and select from, and gave a dynamic presentation which is exactly the kind of excitement you want putting together this kind of thing. Our Project Manager Yeran was engaging from the beginning, she was incredibly patient and attentive with every last detail we hoped to have in our new kitchen. We most appreciated her communication throughout the project and her problem-solving skills. She was fantastic! Visit the showroom if you get the chance, there is lots to see and they are so welcoming and helpful. Our cabinet installer Francisco is an expert at his craft. What impressed us most was his passion and incredible attention to detail. He consistently went above and beyond to take care of us.Every person, and every team that came into our home was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Every question and concern we had was addressed throughout the entire process. In the end we sat in our beautiful new kitchen amazed at what an awesome experience we had overall. Payless performed a complete kitchen remodel on my home. Starting with the demo of the existing kitchen, the crew was very professional and respectful of our home. As for the installation crew, the cabinets went up quick. The countertop guys worked and installed in 1 day. And lastly the tile backsplash took one day, but they ran out of material and rebounded quickly. Completely new kitchen was installed two years ago and was completed in the time frame promised. Everything was quality. I’ve needed adjustments to the cabinets a couple of times & they responded & fix the problem within days. Very pleased with the whole experience.

We had a new tub, surround, vanity, flooring put in. Its all pretty and we like it. However...The salesman that sold us this bathroom neglected to tell us that in order to have a bathtub that we can actually use it would cost extra. This tub does not plug. Now we are being told that if we want to be able to use the tub it will cost an additional $200, on top of the over $14,0000 we are paying this company. Or as I was told by the project manager we can just buy one of those flat plastic tub stoppers and use it. I absolutely cannot believe this was done. This is the first and guaranteed the last time we will use Payless Kitchens and Bathtubs.Update: I was told twice today that the supervisor would call when she is off of the phone. She never called. Those must be really, really long phone calls!

Here are the facts.I own ten unit apartment building on the Westside of Los Angeles.I contacted and met with Dena from Payless Kitchens to discuss a bath remodel for all 10 units.Dena was wonderful and worked hard to obtain our business.We were off to a good start.Dena agreed to remodel one bathroom to earn our business as we were concerned about the three day turnaround.I have a formal 20 page quote from Payless and was working out one last detail before making the deposit.I then received an email that Dena had a family emergency so I gave her time to sort through her emergency. After a week went by, I contacted Payless to find out if she was OK and how to proceed.Shortly thereafter I receive a call from Avo the owner.His demeanor was unpleasant from the time we started to speak.He informs me that Dena is no longer with the company.I would expect the owner to apologize for this adjustment in personal and work to keep my business. Not the case.He asked the nature of our business and I went on to explain what Dena and I had worked out. When I mentioned that we would start with one unit to confirm their three day completion time, he went on to accuse me of using him for a quick cheap turnaround and that I would have no intention of doing the other nine apartments. He was rude, accusatory and would not stand by his sales managers quotes and commitments.He said, I will not work with you or your building. Do you know how much business I have? I dont need yours!So on one hand I am furious for wasting months on this remodel however on the other hand I DODGED A BULLET with this clown.I am so appreciative this happened now and not when I had tenants in hotels.RUN RUN RUN from this company.

This is the second time I have used Payless kitchens. There are always there when you need them. Whenever you place a call if they cant answer you they call you right back. The prices are great their quality seems fabulous. Their work is seamless because they hire electricians and other contractors so then its all in one. Carlos and Sean were great. Stewart the electrician is great. I cant say enough about this company. They have been great to us.

Payless remodeled my entire kitchen, except plumbing. Someone came out to help me design layout of cabinets and appliances. I also purchased counter tops, sink and flooring from them. Quality great. I was able to get a lovely couple to rent apartment immediately. I will use them on my next vacancy. Definitely recommend.

With covid craziness we didn’t know how this whole remodel would be put together. Payless kitchen cabinets made it happen thanks to carlos and Sean stern for the design ideas. We’ll be sure to call you guys when we want to do a bathroom

I was promised soft close drawers did not get them. My backsplash was suppose to be 9 inch, they only installed 3 inches then the cabinets were not drilled in to the studs and are falling off the ceiling.

DONt USE THEM:Payless Kitchen and Bath did my Kitchen and bathroom, it was the worst experience of my life!! Terribly unprofessional! Ive been in Real Estate Development and have done projects in 7 countries that range in cost from 50K to 80M and have never experienced such unorganized kayos on such a small scale.Demo started a week late.Three different GC and cabinet installers worked on the job, didn’t know who would show up from one day to the next.Kitchen had to be measured three times and still never received Shop Drawings. We never received elevations, shop drawings or 3D drawings as promised so we could review and sign off on. Hence all the problems.Payless had their installers work from a pencil sketch taped to my wall.The wrong cabinets were ordered, delivered and assembled before they new they made a mistake thus needing to dissemble, return and reorder, only one cabinet was correct.Two of the cabinets were installed anyway and manipulated to try to make them work, the cabinet doors did not open correctly. They had to be removed and replaced.New cabinets arrived cabinet doors were missing and had to be put on back order.One cabinet has an incorrect drawer face on it.There is gapping in the two lazy-susan corner cabinets, the hinges mounted incorrectly.Three rollouts were included and we ordered an additional 4 which we now only have room for one because of incorrect field measurements.

Initial pricing dispute ensued from what was discussed with sales person after work was started. After work was completed, cabinet paneling started bowing and separating within two weeks. Finished nails found protruding at various cabinet locations. (Snagging Hazard). Baseboard, under cooktop location, falls off. When installer came back to repair flaws found, a nail was shot thru one of the cabinets creating a visible split.(protruding nails still exist). Soft closing cabinet drawers and doors don’t function. Granite Tops starting to chip near Kitchen sink.

Ugh. Want a simple answer to a simple question? Dont even try to call them or chat online. The first thing they want to know is ALL YOUR CONTACT INFO so you can be dogged by lead generation bots for the rest of your life. Also, when their first question is, are you the property owner?, well, you can tell where their mind is going -- they want to spam you to death for the rest of your life. Honestly, Ive had an easier time talking to Scientology recruiters. Ill be staying with my handyman from now on.

They were quick and on time. My kitchen was completed on time. The finished product had a few issues but they came quickly to rectify the problems. I appreciate the service and honesty.

My review is a mixed bag for this company. Had our kitchen re-modeled by Payless a little over 2 years ago. We also replaced our flooring in kitchen, dining room, living room, family room and hallway. For the most part, pleased with the job. We have received a lot of compliments about the re-model. Workers were on time and job completed within estimated time frame.Have some issues with quality of white shaker cabinets. Noticed after a few months that seems were starting to split on various doors. Also noticed some paint peeling on cabinets that were not there when cabinets were installed. We followed the care instructions and only cleaned cabinets with water and mild soap. Also, some of the soft close hinges on cabinets failed.Customer service was good and came out to replace cabinet doors and hinges. Same issues continued to happen on other doors. When worker came out the second time, he opened a box to replacement doors and seems were split and paint was peeling. I told him it was an obvious quality control issue with these cabinets. He did return later and replaced all the defective doors.They have stood by the warranty which is good. However, I would be reluctant to go with the white shaker cabinets unless they have resolved the quality control issues with the manufacturer.

Great showroom lots of samples but they wont give you an estimate unless you schedule a contractor to visit your home/project. After we did schedule the appointment the price was extremely high. $$$$

I had my new kitchen, installed, a year ago. I still think its absolutely beautiful! The work was completed quickly, without compromising the quality of my project. I would recommend Payless, to anyone thats interested, in a kitchen remodel.

Felt like I started getting a run around after getting a quote that was twice as much as what was being Advertised. They did make adjustments and made another offer but then tried to sell me flooring that I didn’t want in the deal. Once we were getting some head way then they didn’t want to give me the 0% Financing— said that it was no longer available

We used Payless Kitchen for our kitchen remodel. We loved the cabinets, countertops, tile work, and the flooring. The teams were professional and Caroline was wonderful as our Coordinator.

We had a few miscalculations but overall it was a good & quick kitchen upgrade. I’m happy.

My kitchen remodel is still not complete after 8 months. I have been extremely inconvenienced by not having a kitchen for this long and who knows how much longer. I am very dissatisfied at this point in time.

Payless Bath Makeover did a partial re-model of my tiny bathroom about a year and a half ago and Ive been quite pleased with the results. The project involved removing the crummy old bathtub, faucet, tile, and glass sliding door. The space was converted to a shower stall with beautiful & extremely easy-to-clean (!!) faux subway tile acrylic panel walls, a new sliding glass door, and a Moen hand-held shower. I love it. They also replaced the old linoleum flooring with nice vinyl planks that look like distressed wood.Ani, the designer, came to my house with a sales pitch and a case full of samples. However, she wasnt pushy and, as the project proceeded, she was detail-oriented and responded promptly when I emailed with questions. The project occurred just as she described it would. Once it began, the entire job took just a few days and everyone was extremely professional (the exception to this was a plumber from a different company that Payless Bath Makeover arranged for because of an unexpected problem with the old drain pipe -- he replaced the pipe but he showed up hours late, was ill-prepared, didnt clean up after himself, and scratched the new acrylic shower pan. Because I complained about the scratches, his work was free!!).

Payless Kitchen Cabinet company is one of the best companies out there.I had a great experience with them from start to end.

This company did a kitchen for my parents. The craftsmanship and materials are sub par at best. The seams and joints are splitting at around the two month mark. The corner radiuses for the counter do not match the sink. The company refused to resolve the sink issue. The face frames are uneven and have large gaps. The company claims to have been serving southern California for over 30 years, yet they have only been licensed since 2008. The company also refused to pull a permit. Not pulling a permit is not only illegal it is a shady buisness practice that only hurts the consumer. Buyer beware if it sounds to good to be true it probably is.

I found the value to be very good for the price I was getting. I got a couple prices, and Payless Kitchen Cabinets were the most reasonable and their product looked the best. They even offered to do an extra service by adding a piece of the countertop to my windowsill so that it was level with the rest of my granite countertop. It worked out beautifully.The process worked out perfect, they actually sent someone in to help design the space. Once we agreed on a design, he worked out a price and then they started the installation process, all the materials were delivered, the countertop team came in with my solid granite choice. I was really pleased with what they brought in. Everything came out perfect.I was very pleased with the installation teams. They came in and were very clean, they installed it to my expectations, and cleaned up after themselves. I’m just enjoying my kitchen right now, it came out beautiful.We converted our family room into a living room kitchen. When friends and family see the kitchen, they see white, open, the large beautiful granite countertop is our table, and they just love the way it turned out. I’ve given their name out to other people who want to remodel their kitchen also.Finally, I really enjoyed this process. I was very pleased with the work completed the first time so I called them back to add on an additional pantry closet.

My husband and I are very pleased with the remodeling of our kitchen and both full bathrooms.From the beginning, you made beautiful suggestions for the cabinets style and helped us with picking the right color for both cabinets and granite countertops.The project took exactly the length of time you indicated which by comparison with other cabinets company that we were considering, it was very short.Your contractors worked efficiently and timely. They were very friendly and always cleaned up after themselves.In the near future, we may have one more small remodeling job to be done and we are not going to look for anyone else but Payless kitchen cabinets.Our friends, family members and a few neighbors that came by, love the new cabinets and were surprised to hear the short length of time it took from start to finish.We highly recommend your company for any remodeling project, small or big. I love my kitchen. There were a few this I didnt like about the process but when all was set and done, I love my new kitchen.

We found Payless through the LA Times, they had a special in the paper and I called to set an appointment. We were introduced to Avo our kitchen specialist. I want to say a special thank you to Avo for listening to all my questions and what I wanted as the end goal for this project. He gave my husband and I great input on what design suited our kitchen the best.We had gathered other estimates, but Avo impressed us. The presentation lasted about 30-40 minutes, and then a couple hours on hashing out the details of what we wanted for our specific project. (ONE STOP SHOP - we also got new tile flooring!)I was VERY anxious on getting our kitchen remodeled after hearing friends horror stories of no access to water, issues with the countertops and other headaches that no one has time to deal with.Payless kitchen cabinets, has a solid team,they work together and made my kitchen project as stress free as possible. We had a kitchen specialist assigned to the project, a project manager who was in charge of scheduling and an installation team. The installers came in and were very considerate in entering and exiting my house, keeping the area clean and leaving us very happy with our beautiful end project!As a thank you for the wonderful job done on my kitchen, I hope to refer as many friends and family as possible! Thank you!

I agree with Paul they did my aunts kitchen and flooring and she paid so much for a lousy job. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Definitely very professional, they explained to me in detail how my kitchen would be, beautiful selection of materials and colors, unfortunately my kitchen was destroyed by a water leak and my insurer did not cover all the expenses, preventing me from hiring the services of Payless kitchen cabinets, I hope to do it in the near future
