Been here a few times now and would consider it my go -to course! Greens are usually in decent shape, carts are clean, and the difficulty of the course is just right.
The course is a super nice walking or riding 9 hole course. Greens are in pretty good conditions but fairways tend to be a little muddy in some areas. Still, definitely a great place to come and play. Highly recommend it.
Let us bring in our own coolers you animals.
Great executive course to practice your game at. Driving range is awesome with a lot of targets to aim at and dial in numbers. Also the membership for unlimited golf is extremely affordable! Staff is friendly also.
The course is decent but they have no concept of pace of play or even a way of managing the course. Setting up a tee time is a must if you want to play in the afternoon but it doesnt really matter because youll never tee off when youre supposed to. Expect to wait 5 to 10 minutes on each hole. Customer service has declined in recent weeks as evident by the picture attached. Having worked at a golf course this is extremely distasteful. There was also no one there working when I dropped the cart off.
On a very slow Wednesday afternoon, my buddies and I decided to drive out of our way to Desert Mirage Golf course due to the cheaper prices. Well like their prices the customer service is cheap as well. Staff member FRANK GONZALEZ decided to completely ruin our entire experience and afternoon. Frank has an obvious bias towards younger players and maybe even just younger people in general. Frank did nothing but be a stickler and has no clue what proper customer service looks like. Frank watched me and my buddies like a hawk waiting for us to go against “golf etiquette”. Once our tee time was up Frank refused to allow one of my friends play because he didn’t have his own set of clubs. (We share clubs OFTEN at other courses because he can not afford his own set and have never had any issues before) when Frank saw my friend begin to help me set my clubs up in the cart, he runs out of the clubhouse to begin yelling at us about follow the golf courses policy on every player having their own set of clubs. (which again I have never experienced at that course the several prior times I went, or any other course in the valley I have golfed at in the last several years) Frank refused to let my friend pay a game fee without renting the courses used clubs. When I asked Frank what’s the big deal with letting us share clubs he began to get very defensive and used an angry tone and says it slows down the pace of play. (Again it was a VERY slow Wednesday and there were no lines or groups waiting to tee off) When I argued franks logic and told him how this is only a way for the golf course to make extra money off players, he then threaten to ban me (at which point I demanded a refund due to his behavior up to this point) During the refund process Frank was being very difficult and even went as far as to threaten to “bitch slap” me. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL it makes no sense to make your customers unhappy and pay an extra rate on a slow day just to “maintain etiquette” Smart and good businesses treat their customers with much more respect and are more flexible with customer needs. Called GM FRED BARR to immediately complain about Frank’s unprofessional behavior and he stuck up for his employees decision to uphold “etiquette and policy” instead of ensuring that we will be returning customers (which we most definitely will not be after this)MESSAGE TO OWNER FRED BARR: Frank Gonzalez threaten to assault a customer due to an argument over golf club rental fees. Get your employees in check and drop your clubs conservative golf etiquette mentality. You have a practice course, its not a PGA tour course. Maybe then you’ll manage to get returning customers and not an assault lawsuit on your hands.
Decent course. No water jugs for 9 holes a bit dehydrated especially when there was no beverage cart driving around either. Make sure you have liquids before you go out.
For the special I received, and for the time I had available, it was great!!!I shot my best round here, but it is a much smaller course than what I have been playing.
Would be fun but groups are constantly cutting on holes and screwing up the order.
Nice enough course but they schedule people way to close together. Sat at one of the holes for nearly 15 min before we could resume. If this was the first time this has happened I wouldnt complain but it seems to be kinda normal as it has happened before. Again nice course, nice staff, just dont be in a hurry to be anywhere after.
It has the right amount of long holes, and the greens were well taken care. Its a great place for biginers and season players. The staff that we spoke to was very friendly. The entire facility was very clean. Very enjoyable 😁😁😀😀😀
Great course. Well maintained and quiet
Very awesome 9 hole course! The employees were all great and the overall atmosphere was great! Im very glad that I live close because I will most definitely be back!
Not bad golf course. It is a 9 hole course, easy to walk
I cant remember if I played this course but I came here for a golf lesson which I dont think is affiliated desert mirage golf but I could be wrong. Anyway the course was very green and looked to be well kept up. I only spent time at the driving range working with my irons. I liked that they had targets to aim at beyond just yard markers at other ranges. I will definitely be trying the course out soon.
Enjoyed the golf here. Quik service from the staff. Free range balls!
Staff seems friendly, course is suitable for any level, and the rates are fantastic
Course is in best shape Ive ever seen. Good job..
Great golf course for a quick 9 great food and people always a great time
My daughter and I played at Desert Mirage last Saturday and had a great time. Neither of us is an accomplished golfer but we found the course to be very forgiving and fun. The staff was friendly and efficient. Lunch in the restaurant afterwards was tasty, with very friendly service.
Staff is great. Facility is accomadating for practice, or a comfortable 9. Course is set to be able to use a range of clubs in the bag, without being to short for the average golfer, or to long for those learning.
Very friendly staff. Cool spot, but it was too hot. Maybe some shade for the driving range?
Really not a bad little exec for a nice walk to get in 9 holes.Management would have to be a Trump property to be any more out of touch. No effort to think outside the box. I guess a shred of imagination is too much to ask for...Keep your eye on that carrot boys...
Course was in good condition. Definitely a good price. Not over charging like Phoenix courses (charging 30 to play plus 20 for the cart....) Thank you desert mirage for always having the best price
I enjoy playing this course. I’ve gotten a lot better thanks to this course, I improved from playing double bogey golf to bogey golf lol. Fred is the one who’s always there when I come and he is probably the nicest man in the country. I look forward to playing here again and again. The price makes it easy to come back.
Great golf and fair pricing. More than fair actually, considering the quality of golf, service, and brand new carts.
A nine hole executive course. The staff, both clubhouse and grounds are five star, friendly, helpful and welcoming. The course is probably three star in physical quality. The greens need work, theyre somewhat raw, needing a cleaning up. However, that, in my opinion, isnt the staffs fault completely. Its obvious a lot of players do not respect the course or clean up after themselves - divots and ball marks on the greens, approaches and fairways are just let lie. Sand traps are not raked. I suspect if folks would just perform the normal golf course courtesies, the course would be in much better shape. The grounds keepers work hard doing their part. Price wise the course is five star, very reasonable. This is an outstanding course for beginners! I would be glad to recommend this course to anyone.
Brought the team in for some stress relief and a lesson on following through, great staff and awesome facility. Thank you for having us.
We really have a great time on this course. Even when we dont do as good as we would like. Course just right for our abilities.Everyone so friendly and make you feel like family.
Good practice course. Not much of a golfer but I like hitting the driving range. Grass is usually well kept. I know they have a 9 hole course but not good enough for that so lol
Better grounds keeping today..
Desert Mirage is a great find here in Glendale. I live nearby and always find the course well kept, with a strong staff with great customer service. Club house is great for a quick lunch - best BLT in town!! Prices are good, but not great, monthly membership and driving range prices are first rate, highly recommended if you intend to golf here more than once a month. Thanks again Tony for running a great outfit!!- Jens Brown
I enjoy this course and range. The prices are right and there are usually some deals in the clubhouse. The facility is clean and the staff are friendly.
Nice course! Hispanic guy in the pro shop is very rude though.
Normaly a great quick place to play, today not the case. Took the 330 tee time which was the last one I was told. By the time I was at the 5th hole I had a 9 person group in front of me and a 5 person group behind me hitting balls into me. By the finish of the 6th hole I walked off cause there was no response from the club house. Very disappointed, use to play here and take my kids here all the time. now thinking I need to find a new spot.
Fun course to play, Staff is real friendly, good food, fast greens, nice fairways
Best value in the west valley. Great prices. And there are several challenging fairways on this course for the more experienced golfer, but still easy enough for beginners.
I just played Desert Mirage last Saturday morning after having been away for a while. The folks in charge keep making it better and better. The fairways are green and well maintained. The greens are some of the best Ive ever seen and the tee boxes are nice and flat. If youve played other 9 hole courses in the valley, you know the tee boxes usually look like an ancient burial tomb! All this coupled with the lit driving range with real grass make Desert Mirage one the best 9 hole courses in the valley.P.S. Im not a paid reviewer, just a normal work a day guy :)
Very nice high five ✋🏾
Course was in great shape.
Very friendly staff, but pace is generally very slow and unsupervised and they have lost their greens after overseed. Price is good despite that, but dont play there if you think youre going to be playing a pristine course. Very much a blue collar clientele. Could use a refresher course on the first tee about filling ball marks on the greens, sand in divots and where to drive the golf carts as people have no idea what theyre doing out there.
Awesome course great people running it.
Easy executive course worth the money to practice your game
Great golf course if you are looking for a casual fun game. We play here often and really enjoy ourselves.
Nice inexpensive 9-hole executive course. Good place to learn golf or work on your short game.
The range facilities were fine the greens and the fairways have been overseeded with rye grass and The Tees are good all other areas are dormant Bermuda,
The staff was wonderful... Fast and Courteous... I will definitely recommend this place for family and friends
Good prices and nice staff. Greens are horrendous though. Driving range is grass which is a plus.
Great course for a quick 9. Well maintained and friendly staff. Thumbs up!
Love the course. Just the way I like it, not perfectly manicured.
Nice course for beginners. Low cost and friendly staff.
Nice place to relax..practice your game..very reasonable pricing...love it
Place was nice and the couple of employees I talked to where informative and I didnt really run into any issues except it was too damn hot to be on a golf course.
Its a friendly place to spend your morning I take my boy there to play with me sometimes they have very nice program for kids . I recommend to anybody this place.
Pleasant, helpful and friendly with beginners.
Always enjoy my rounds here. Friendly service.too
Play this course a lot, the course conditions are always great and the staff are friendly. I would recommend this course.
This golf course is great.this course is well maintained, with good employes, good service . Give it a try you love this little 9 hole course
Very nice to the guests. Happy with the over all experience.
Great golf course when you want a fast 9 holes and have a good time
Excellent executive par 30. Reasonable and entertaining.
Our issue is so many of the west side of the 101 from Beardsley down to Broadway is off. So aggravating.
The greens are slow and more like bunkers. Really need to work on the course appearance.
Great practice course
Great value for a 9 hole course.
Lots of fun friendly staff
Nice little course, quite enjoyable
The greens and Fairways are not in great shape
I didnt visit the golf course
Staff is very friendly and the course is as well!
Excellent rates.
Great place to practice
Its fun
Great place
Love it!
Friendly
It is a nice place where they play very crowded and has an artificial lake and there is wildlife like Canadian geese I do not get it very well because I have not entered but I think there should be bathrooms and it is a large place
