Gloucester is one of those place where the people make you feel your family. The Lone Gull is no exception. Its the perfect size, not big, not to small. very comfortable seating. Clean well lit. The food is great, I mostly have had the pastries and they were fresh, right out of the oven fresh. I love coffee so.... an important factor in determining if Ill come back is the quality of you basic coffee. It was Excellent! My Barista was warm, friendly, and very knowledgeable. I try to stop by whenever Im in Gloucester.

Awesome coffee! Came here both days of our weekend visit to Gloucester it was so good. Service was very friendly and made us feel like regulars. The seating area is closed due to covid, but there is a marvelous collection of potted plants displayed on the tables that were fun to look at. Highly recommend the Cuban Latte (if you want a sweet treat) and their branded baseball cap as a souvenir!

Nice coffee shop in the north shore! My wife and I were searching for a coffee shop where we could enjoy a coffee and pastry in a nice and comfortable atmosphere and Lone Gull ended up meeting both of our criteria. We ordered a medium coffee, medium vanilla latte and a sugar cookie that had white chocolate chips. Everything was good and the vanilla latte and the right amount of syrup in it. The cookie was fresh and oversized. It was a nice treat. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. I felt that there were a lot of regulars in there as there was conversation between a few of the patrons. The pricing was very reasonable as our bill came to less than $9 which would normally be closer to $15 if we placed the same order at a Boston-located coffee shop. Nice place and we’ll be back!

Love this shop. Good food from local vendors. Fresh, delicious coffee & espresso pairs perfectly with the skilled baristas and attendants. They couple with good vibes, music and a mellow interior to create the perfect vacation foodie stop and an exceptional venue for laid back meetings and small gatherings. The only improvement i could even think of is using barista oat milk instead of the regular stuff, because even the syrups are good for you! A must visit for those coming down the line.

Unquestionably, Lone Gull has the best coffee in Gloucester. It is also a top contender for best cup on the North Shore. The environment is cute and the location is perfect. Try it out!

Cozy little place with some excellent coffee and staff service. The staff is very sweet. Due to covid there seemed to be limited seating but I loved the way it is done up. I ended up picking up coffee everyday here during my visit. Would love to some day sit here and sip a cup of coffee.

Ok. This is one of my favorite places.. So it makes me really sad to give only two stars. I guess I just got them at a bad time... I went in for an iced coffee in the midst of our heat wave. The menu on the board said large brewed coffee, hot or iced, $2.40. Honestly, what a great price! I kinda couldnt believe my eyes! Just what I wanted! Sugar and X cream plz. Got my coffee. In a paper cup. I had wanted a clear plastic cup. So I can see how much sugar is in the bottom of the cup. But plastics cups are killing Loggerhead turtles and everything other damned thing in the ocean so... Paper cup. Cool. Cuz I love those fing turtles! No straw... Ok.. turtles win again. No biggie. $3.50 please. Hunh? Oh.. Its cold brew. Oh I didnt want cold brew. Thats why I ordered the brewed coffee. Whatever. Barista was charming... Sat down in the ice cold AC. Awesome. Feels like 100 outside. Take my sip. Yuk! What the?? No sugar, cream is just on the edge of sour. Coffee really isnt very good. Ugh. Almost no ice. Ok Ill get a straw, stir up the sugar from the bottom. No straws to be found. Anywhere. Place is mobbed. Ill ask later. Sit back down in huge leather chair.. so comfy! Swirl the cup. A little better. Ice water drips on me from AC on ceiling... Really? Its ok. It was funny. Struggling with my coffee. What can I say? Im a junkie. I need my fix... Ill drink anything with caffeine! Another ice water drip from the AC. Yeah. Not really another place to sit. Another couple drips. ... Ok. Im out. Sit outside in the heat. Guy comes out behind me with his coffee. God! That took forever! He says. Yeah, I say. Theres something going on in there. This is actually my favorite place, he says. Nobody can get enough help these days. Sad but true. They werent even open one day a few days ago. Turns out the guy behind me was super nice. We had a really cool convo while we drank our coffee. Like I say, I love this place... Went to Dunks the other day. That was worse. Shore Nutrition next time, across the street. Havent tried them yet. Oh btw, I wont mention the dead seagull outside stinking up the place. Hope he wasnt The Lone Gull... Sigh. Hope this heat breaks.

Lone Gull has been my favorite coffee shop in Gloucester ever since they opened! Great coffee, nice menu options, love the smoothies. The service is always good and its the best when you score one of the super comfy couches!(I wish they still made paninis, those were also my favorite in Gloucester while they were around.)

You know its good when the line is 10 people deep. There are about 10 tables for seating as well as a couple of comfy chairs in the back. Service is excellent and they are very friendly.

Great coffee. Best on Main street. Friendly staff. Seems to be the place to bump into so many people! There is limited seating, but thats fine as theres standing room. In the summer the outdoor seating is a good idea. I love that they offer extras like almond milk. Good iced coffee and flavors if thats what you like. My favorite coffee shop in Gloucester.

Incredible coffee, they have light, medium, and dark roast coffee. Pumpkin latre is the best Ive had yet.Only bummer is they had no selection of food I could eat (I have a soy allergy). They were very kind and smart about recommending I stay safe and not eat anything. Id give five stars if they carried some packaged food that was allergy safe.Super cute coffee shop. Nice staff. Ive been going here for years. I need to do a thorough review of this place but long story short: the service is excellent and the espresso is, too. I have many pleasant memories sitting on the couch with my mom here, so it has a special place in my heart.

Went to get blueberry thrill smoothie and it was made so watery, I asked for it to be thickened they dumped my drink back in the blender and added some banana slices and ice to it. It is still watery, Ive ordered this same smoothie a hundred times, and on on 5/12/16 was told it couldnt be made much thicker. Smoothies are not watery in consistency. I will not be returning as a customer.

This is a great cozy, little, coffee shop to sit and have a delicious cup of coffee and /or a pastry. Also a great place to stop in and grab a coffee if you are walking downtown. Its on the expensive side though, so I only go occasionally.

Comfort local coffee place. Not too quiet but still quiet for chating. Seating is not many but not crowded so it is not hard to find a seat. Good iced americano is here.

Just stumbled on this great little family owned coffee house on Main St. in Gloucester MA we thouroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the decor. The coffe and lattes were great. Check it out, its a good alternative to Starbucks.

Coffee was alright, barista was in a bad mood. I was trying to ask about the area and he said today wasnt the day to ask him. Dont care how good a coffee might be, it sours with a foul mood. The locals were friendly, tho. Bonus there.
