I cannot say enough good things about our experience at this location. The owner, Danielle, was INCREDIBLE. When we had two previous U-Haul locations fail us, she came through and got us on our way. Amazing service, and if I wasn’t moving out of state, I’d make this my only go-to location.
So, if youre getting propane don’t expect the bell to work that is clearly posted for service because I was just informed it doesn’t work. After standing outside in the cold while workers came in and out, clearly seeing me, and not even acknowledging me. When I went inside there were 2 people literally doing nothing. Staring forward, seriously. That is when I said Hi, I need propane, and they asked “did you ring the bell?!” Yep, twice. “Oh, it doesn’t work, it would drive us crazy”. Wow, the level of disrespect in that that comment after being asked if I rang it is unbelievable. I fill up with propane weekly and am gladly driving farther now because of that interaction.
The nicest guys we ever met. Helped us refill the propane gas, checked on one of our rv tires that was a bit low...and so well and kind spoken. Rare to meet people like this these days. Thank you guys! Your mom would be proud.
Love this location. Ive rented a few trailers and filled propane many times for my travel trailer. Great selection of hitches as well. Ive always been treated respectfully and in a timely manner.
They cancelled our trailer reservation (and apparently many others) a day and a half before my move to another state, then offered no help or alternative options. Apparently no U-Haul in the STATE had what we needed. Ive never put a review on google for anything but I dont want anybody else to go through what I have been, trying to figure out what to do. Im about ready to start my own trailer service since they seem to have cornered the market as well. If you can find any, ANY, other option USE IT. Dont even bother with them, theyll F you over and show absolutely no remorse.
Very easy to book my trailer, and there was plenty of people on staff available to help me who were super friendly and knowledgeable. I have never rented a trailer, so they taught me how to hitch and load the trailer.
I cannot personally remember being so mistreated by a company before. We make a reservation for a 6x12 trailer two weeks in advance of moving and were told the DAY before our reservation that the trailer was not available. They offered to have US drive 10 hours round trip to pick on up or cancel. That was it, no other options. On top of that the customer service people are not apologetic, helpful or even as far as I can tell, human. It was like talking to a robot that had given up on its robot life. Unfortunately, U-Haul has cornered the market and you cannot rent trailers to move out of state anywhere else. So, we are essentially Fed. If you can find ANY other options, use it. Do not put your faith in this company. They do not care about any of their customers and definitely do not care about finding solutions to a problem they caused.
I went in to return a rental box truck the lady Danielle I worked with the the worst customer service we have ever had, she was very rude to my wife and the professionalism was none..

Went to uhaul today and staff was friendly and helpful. Made sure I had tape before completing transaction.The employee who must have played a lot of tetris was able to get everything into my suv.
Jason and Lauren were absolute gems while alleviating a crazy amount of stress trying to make ends meet while moving. Not only did they provide us with bottled water while unpacking the truck, but they escorted us around the lot via a golf cart, to avoid any extra energy expenditure. Whatta great experience. These guys are the best...super affordable and sweet as pie! Thanks guys!
Despite negative reviews, Ive never had a bad experience here. They dont have the largest rental fleet, so often I have to go to other locations because their trucks are all booked, but this is the most convenient location for my needs (bouncing between rental properties in Golden/Lakewood each year).I always book online, I often have to point out preexisting damage not listed on the rental agreement, but otherwise this place is a snap. 10 minutes to pick up, 10 minutes to drop off.Cant speak to propane service or installing a trailer hitch, but if you just need to rent a van these folks are efficient, reliable, and honest. Just be sure to check online for vehicle availability!
These guys can be rude I think they are understaffed and over worked their attitudes could use an adjustment i will return because I need propane

Reserved a trailer online showed up 20 minutes before closing the girl at the register was already done with my reservation she had already scanned my license and my credit card when the manager walked out and said no more trailer rentals today I said that I had reserved on line and was already finished with my check in process he said” I don’t care you want it come back tomorrow” I said she already charged my card So he told her “refund his card” when I politely objected he said if I didn’t get out of his store he was going to call the cops avoid this place like the plague

So here’s the deal, I like how convenient this location is to my home and the highway as well as prices on gas refills. I even bought a U-Haul tank so I could know all my stuff was taken care of. However the last few visits, (2 propane and 2 moving) in the last 5 months, the level of service makes me wish I didn’t like using the U-Haul brand. The staff lacks product/service knowledge, is slow to acknowledge my presence, and even slower to actually initiate work when I did get their attention. When there are two people working and two customers, there should not be a wait. If they can’t do any better, perhaps a robot could handle the technical stuff and a kiosk could check out the trucks. These people would do better as security guards. Makes me hesitant to drop $$$ on a hitch on my new car with this level of expertise. It looks like I will have to find another location to give my business to.
Seems as though they stop their propane service within the last hour of business regularly. Our family had the privilege of experiencing a cold night and a no-stove morning because of this.Whatever their closing time is, come an hour and a half prior to ensure you can get propane.
I work at Colorado Mills mall and this is by far the most convenient location. These guys have been awesome and treated me well for many years now. They are nice, flexible, helpful, and go above and beyond. Well maintained vehicles, great service and reasonable prices, what else could you ask for ?
Rented pick up, drove 17 miles and put a little over two gallons in. Took photo of mileage and fuel level at start and end of rental. Employee told me I needed to put $15.00 of gas in vehicle to fill it up. I showed him photos and he didnt care. It was my fault and I needed to follow procedures. What a sad pathetic company that needs to steal from customers. Dont care about the money just dont like dishonesty. NEVER EVER RENT HERE!

I had the absolute worst experience that Ive ever had with any company. They did not honor my reservation here. I reserved a Ubox and a truck online. I was emailed a confirmation. I called TWICE to confirm these items would be available at this location, since I was flying in from California to pick them up.The night before, after flying across the country, I found out my reservation was cancelled. Had to go to three different locations to get what I needed, all by Uber since I didnt have a car here.Wasted one of two days I had available to move due to being on hold with Uhaul foreve,r and driving all over the Denver area to get a truck, Ubox and trailer hitch at three different Uhaul locations.Ive reached out to U-haul multiple times and have been met with shrugs all around. Zero customer care.Never use Uhaul for anything. Reservations mean nothing and can be cancelled with no compensation and no explanation.
Carlos Zamora helped me play Tetris with huge oversized boxes into my Toyota Carolla, right before closing time. He helped me without my asking, and offered to fit all of what I purchased in my car. Great service from staff!
Best uhaul location I have ever visited. Always friendly always professional. I did business several times and had not one issue. Plus, their hitch repair service is unbeatable in pricing. Installing a break control device was 150 instead of 300 to 500 offered by their competition.
This U-haul dealership was great. Swapped out my converter box that was under warranty in under 20 minutes. Last time I was here I had an issue that was caused by a different U-haul dealer in boulder. That dealer had gotten my online order completely wrong and messed up several details of my contract that I had previously confirmed both online and over the phone. The owner here worked with me to get everything resolved and get everything back on track. Very helpful center.
Made online reservation for 4 day rental of 10’ truck and dolly. Hit submit for a $151.70 charge. Arrived at the location and they tried to charge me $250.74. Then basically told me to get lost. Customer support offered zero help except to confirm my original quote. People at location 1:30 later finally figured out a way to get me out the door at $165. Now here to return and there’s a line out the the door with 1 person working...it’s Sunday. Took me 45min to return a truck...
The staff were great at this location! I had soo many delays and issues with my reservation, other locations and the custom service on the phone. The staff here helped me, offered solutions and found a way to get me what I needed.
Poor customer service. The first time I went in, they tried to charge me almost $60 for a pack of boxes. I noticed when I went to sign the terminal and said something. Apparently someone else had a transaction before me and their transaction hadnt cleared out so I was being charged for both. Fine, that happens - Im glad I noticed because the person working the register didnt.The second time I tried to get boxes, I pulled up out front by the door( I was not blocking anyone and was just by the small rentable trailers) so I could easily load the boxes into my trunk. All of their parking was full, it was raining, I have a broken hand making carrying them really far a challenge, not to mention it was going to take me less than 5 minutes to buy a few boxes and leave. The man ran out of the store yelling at me to move my car - flailing his arm, extremely upset. I managed to say I was just going to buy a few boxes and would be out of the way and he huffed and rolled his eyes at me and started screaming that I was not to park there. I have no problem moving my car (but there was actually no available parking to be found and a huge diesel truck in the lot taking up all the space), but it was not necessary to scream and yell at me like that - a simple request to move and perhaps a suggestion on where to park since parking was full would have sufficed. I just left and went to Home Depot to get my boxes, which is where I will be going for the rest of my moving supply needs.
Despite reading negative reviews, I tried to purchase/install a hitch through U-Haul in Golden. They were very eager to book an install date, but when I showed up at the appointed time, there wasnt a hitch for my car. They couldnt even bother to call and leave a message. I was told to wait a few days, but when I called back - no hitch. I was told to wait a bit longer, and when I called a week later, I was told that someone would call me back. Surprise - no one called me back, and when I called to check on the status, I wasnt even in the system and they wanted to book me, again. I even showed up at the site, but there was a long line to talk to the single person that seemed to work there. Save your time and money, and go to a professional place.
Worst customer service ever. They could care less. 7 hours in service and did not get what we asked for.
Needed some propane and a quick fix to my hitch. The gentleman helping took the extra time and effort to fix my hitch. It was not an easy fix but he got it done. I recommend this location.
Showed up at 6:59pm called ahead and said we would be there soon. Guy is standing inside and said he wouldnt take it because we were late. No we wearnt we showed up one minute early
Only 1 staff person helping on one of the busiest times of the week (Sunday morning). Line out the door. Staff said it’s like this every Sunday; if that’s the case then they should know how many staff to schedule by now. The 1 staff was friendly and capable though.
Rented a truck back in April, and I had to put a deposit down in cash because of coarse the machines weren’t working. So then I was supposed to get a check for the remaining balance of $25.14, 10 days later, IT NEVER CAME! Called 3 or 4 times and they kept saying it’s on it’s way and 2 months later, STILL NOTHING!! I probably will never see the check I was owed and therefore I will never use this location or any U-Haul location!!
Great location. I would like to point out that the previous reviews reflect people who dont understand how this work.1. When you set a reservation you are asked a pick up time. You choose the time. If you do not show up at that time. You are late, as you would be anywhere. They wait about 30 minutes or so before the call.2. To the person who was mad he or she couldnt take the truck out of state. You reserved the wrong type of truck/rental. Some trucks are for round trip use only and some trucks are for one way use only. When you made the reservation you failed to tell the person on the phone you were going out of state.I had used uhaul for years. The process and use of equipment is pretty straight forward.
Knowledgeable employee helped us find exactly what we were looking for. He also suggested another item (floor dolly) that helped us to be able to move even more than we thought we were going to be able to move
Changed my reservation at the last second, totally throwing a wrench in my plans. To quote Seinfeld: “You know how to take the reservation, you just don’t know how to hold the reservation!”

This store has to be one of the worst. At best they have 2 people working at any one time and one of them is never helping customers. Absolutely absurd. And once you do get help prepare for a arrogant and rude person to be of your service. What a pleasure

I went there for propane at 430 pm knowing they closed at 5. I came in and they told me that they close at 5 so they sent the only one who could fill propane 30 minutes ago. Then they told me I could pick up propane the next day like I didnt need it for that might for my rv which I live in. Very unprofessional, I hope they have heat tonight.
Got a hitch put on my subaru here, they were very nice and worked quickly, way cheaper here than other places, definitely recommend.
Took my wifes honda to get a hitch. They initially said two hours, spent well over 4 hours, drained my wifes battery, didnt get the wiring harness installed. They had to jump the vehicle.Wont be doing business with uhaul ever again. Such an outrageously poor experience its hard to believe it isnt a joke.
We planned to rent a pickup truck to haul a boat to another state and reserved it. When we got to the location, we were told we couldnt take it out of state. We were on our way out of town and started to panic a bit! The man helping us was okay, but then Augusta came in to save the day!
Propane service is excellent and convenient. Cheaper and you always get a full tank!

Terrible service. They only had 1 person on staff the last Saturday of the month. It took over 90 minutes to pick up a truck even after completing the online “Express Check In”. I would go anywhere else before trying this place again.
Equipment not available at time of pick up. Wanted me to fight Denver 5pm traffic to drive to another location to pick up half of equipment not available. Nydia was completely rude and rufused to help me. Wanted me to move so she could help other customers thay had equipment for. My order was placed a month in advance and paid to cut wait time in half. It took me an hour and a half to get everything resolved by calling uhaul customer service. Will never use uhaul again from this experience. No help...

Amazingly un-professional.We booked our truck weeks in advance of our in-town move. On the morning of the day of pick-up, I called the office and let them know I would be there for the truck in the early afternoon. They acknowledged that this would be fine.Later the same morning I received a voice mail with a message from the owner stating that since I was not in on time to pick up the truck that they gave it away. The tone of the call was condescending and indicating that I was to blame. One call. No warning, no time to call back. Simply gave the truck that I reserved away (Seinfeld: you know how to take the reservation - but not how to KEEP the reservation).When I called them, they indicated that my earlier call was not answered in time so it rolled to their corporate dispatch. And corporate did not get the message of my pickup time to them.My stance was simple: It does not matter if the fault is U-Haul corporate or your local franchise. It is all U-Haul to the customer.The only truck they were able to locate for me was at another location and considerably smaller than what I booked. This ended up costing us $225 more in labor and mileage due to increased time with our movers (movers I booked through the U-Haul service).When I called customer (dis)service, they took my information and promised a call back. Instead I received an email with a $25 credit toward my next purchase. I will never be using this credit because I will not ever grace them with my business. I encourage everyone to consider Penske, Budget, Enterprise or anyone else. both the West Colfax and U-Haul corporate failed here.

Made a reservation for a truck. Showed up to pick it up. Was told they had overbooked this truck but you just need to go over to our other office where one will be available. Going over to our other office.. turn out to be a 1.5 hour round trip in traffic to the Highlands Ranch franchise to get a truck. Not impressed.
Service was fast and friendly with my drop off. They have a covered drop off that you can just pull into, the staff comes out and unhooks to trailer then you can just drive off.
The make the US Post Office look good.First off I had called the location the day before around 8:30am to check on the availability of a auto transport trailer for Saturday the 10th of October and to make a reservation. I was told by the female at the location I was speaking to Oh yes we have lots of those just come on it I then ask about making a reservation she then said no need we have many just show up. I show up on Saturday around 9am at this point I am the only customer in the store the two employees a white female and a short fat African American male. I state what I am there for, the female asks if I have a reservation, I reply no I was told yesterday on the phone from someone at this very location that there were many available. She and I very well knowing it was her I had spoke to. Obviously this woman is very hung over from the night before, more on this. She goes on to say well I do not know if we will have any available. Then the male decides he is going to help me as another customer walks in and she starts to help him, they go on with some small talk and she goes into how she got a 19mile an hour over the limit ticket on her way in. Finally after about 20mins it is determined that there is a trailer available. After paperwork that took another 20mins and more time to change the toner in the printer that appeared it was his first time ever doing so. Then there is the fact that that short fat AM has zero clue about how to direct a driver backing up to hitch up.
These guys were good to me when I rented a truck and I am renting from them again.
The people at this location are incompitent and have no customer service skills..i will never shop at this location ever again and would hope that everyone else listens these people openly admit that they hate their job and down care if your happy with the experince or not...
Cool place. Ed went through a lot to make sure my trailer lights worked and gave me a fair price.
Long wait at opening. Arrived 15 minutes ahead of opening, had a reservation. Each customer transaction (3) before me and my own, took about 8-12 minutes. Mediocre service. Felt like the DMV.
