The approval and sale process went so smooth that I felt sure the vehicle was meant for me. The entire staff was friendly and there was no pressure. Worst experience ever. Was told I needed a co-signer, and everything would still be in my name. First lie. Then told I was approved and had options, second lie, went back in they gave me one option and claimed the older model car I just drove 45 mins to look at was sold in less than an hour of talking to them . Was told I was approved, had the car 3 weeks, paid $250 insurance FOR A SUPER NEW MODEL CAR I DIDNT EVEN WANT and then they call and tell me all of a sudden the bank didn’t approve the loan? How was the loan approved in the first place ? They say they can help with bad credit and no credit at all but that’s another complete lie. You will need someone with credit to put the car in their name. The staff were very unhelpful and just wanted to make a sell. No conversation was made when the car was turned in. Just told I couldn’t get insurance money back even tho I paid through them. Wouldn’t recommend at all.

This is one of the best car dealerships I have done business with. Amy went beyond the call of duty to make sure every question was answered and to make our experience positive. Came through and was greeted outside. Chris E. Came up to me and we chatted about different cars for about 15 minutes. He went in and grabbed the keys for the 2016 Impala I was looking at. We drove it around talked about the car and our hobbies. Left that day as the owner of the Impala. Gorgeous car, runs smooth and I have a lifetime warranty on the drivetrain. Looks way better than the other impalas out there. Has some fancy package.Now, the cars great. What was even better was the customer service. It took me a few days to get some papers routed for the bank and in that time I got to know not only Chris, but Pat, Mike, Smith and Sherry. Everyone was real polite and professional. Mathews Motors offers great customer service and great prices! On the top of their service and prices they offer a Lifetime warranty. They have 3 locations in NC, Goldsboro, Clayton and Wilmington. Goldsboro is small but they have a good selection. Clayton is big, with an even bigger selection, and I have never been to the Wilmington location.

Very impressed with the lack of pressure and atmosphere of the office. Chris, Rob, Paul, didnt catch the name of the other young man. Kentrall wasnt there on 3/3/21, met Miss Sherry the finance manager on the 4th. They kept my trade in, 2013 GMC Truck on the 3rd, and loaned me a 2018 Silverado over night. The 2020 Chevy equinox I purchased hadnt had a chance to go through their inspection process or been detailed by them yet however you couldnt tell the vehicle was very clean. They called just after dark telling me If I wanted I could pick it up the 3rd, I said we would pick it up the 4th. I think I got a GREAT DEAL! Have already recommended then to family members. In the future they will be the first place I look

Overall pretty good except for a five day delay putting new tires on. I still don’t have my truck. Now I am told it might be another day. This is totally unacceptable. I am getting upset and angry now. Maybe I should not have gone here in the first place. We will see.

My fiancee and I got there at 10 am on 7/20/19 after doing online applications and talking to the manager. He thought it would be a great idea to go in seeing my fiancee is prior military. We had to go through the application process again to see if we could get a car with no money down,however,if we could not, we were prepared to pay a substantial down payment. The application process was quick but after waiting for about an hour in the office with no real explanation of what was taking so long,we wanted to leave. The guy called us back about an hour later to tell us we had left our ids. My husband goes to retrieve them,yet no word of whats going on. It is now the next morning and no word still. I can tell when someone is lying or giving the run around. If our credit is not good enough,just be honest and say that and ask us for the down payment. If you guys only want to work with people who can get your cars for no money down,be honest at the door and say so. Majority of the cars advertised on your website is definitely not on that lot and that was a bit unnerving when we 1st arrived but we were willing to see other cars. We could have easily went to a nicer lot with great cars $1000 or 2 to put down,without all the waiting and game playing. We came here because the manager owner or whatever he is talked to us as if he was in the office and we had a good chance and needed to get there ASAP,when really the calls are forwarded to his cell. This was a very unprofessional situation. Im convinced that what they advertise and how they draw you in are marketing schemes to run credit and keep only the best they find. The sales person was very polite very helpful management was right on the ball telling us everything that we needed to know give us a good price on are trade in everything was done right up to Par. Payments were less than what we wanted which is nice interest rate was very low my credit had a lot to do with it but that’s beside the point they worked with me 100% very quickly none of this setting around all day waiting for nothing.
