I have worked with John & his wife for many years now as he has handled our network at our office. We are a small business and therefore can not afford to have a full time IT person onsite. John has been the next best thing. Whenever we have had an issue, all I have to do is text him and if it cant be resolved over the phone, he is onsite quickly. We are a medical office with all of our patient charts in the cloud, so it is imperative for our network to be up and running. He has also worked as our liaison with Spectrum to speak their language and get problems resolved as there have been times all I get from Spectrum is everything looks like it is working properly on our side! When networks and computers are not your specialty, that can be extremely frustrating to be the person in the middle and not know what to do. John and his wife are a small business too and they understand the importance of keeping things going. We appreciate them and hope to use their services for many years to come!
Id rate with negative stars if I could.... dropped computer off a little while back for some work... AFTER 30 DAYS I was notified I was being deployed (reservist). I called the man who runs the place to ask him if it was done yet (mind u we are already last 30 days at THIS point), he tells me no that he has been wanting to get up with me to get my password for the computer, that he couldnt do anything without it.... why I have to call to find this out is beyond me... But I give it to him as well as my wifes contact info and let him know I was deploying. Well I get back home to find out that he never contacted my phone or my wifes (we already pulled our records to be sure of this). When I call to ask about his wife (who also runs the store) answers and basically tells me it was there past 30 days and now is gone and couldnt even tell me who it was sold to, or if was scrapped for parts. When asked why (admittedly frustrated) i was never told of this 30 day policy and why never signed anything stating my being aware, she says it basically my fault and my lost and hangs up on me. Now Im ticked... I go to the store to talk to her and her husband in person about this and he (who is the one Ive talked to a couple times about my computer before, her never seen till today) wasnt there. So when I tell her that i was deployed, she proceeds to roll her eyes and shake her head and tried to tell me her husband also was in the service and that its not an excuse smh... after being there she tells me in detail that their policy is any property left for 30 days can be forfeited. It was at this point I see the sign in their office which says property left over 60 days AFTER NOTIFICATION OF COMPLTEDED SERVICES can be forfeited, so i correct her and tell her that I nor my wife was never notified of anything about my computer (especailly it being ready for pickup) after the last time I talked to him prior to deploying and giving him my password to complete the job. She then (as rudely as Ive seen anyone get in a while who runs a business) tells me that she is done taking with me and if I felt the need to to do anything about it (legaly) then to do it... I tell her ok i reckon I will... right before leaving i decide I should take a pic of the sign stating property left past 30 days of completion notification can be forfeited for my own record. Then to cap off my HSD computers experience, i was yelled at to leave the store and not take pics... I would highly not recommended anyone. Using their services... pay a little more and go to a professional business.
Why do these places still exist? As cheap as computers are nowadays, all they can really do at this point is jew people out of bloated windows 10 installations on hardware thats to old to even run it.
Its 3:30 pm on a Monday. They don’t “close” until 6pm. But they are closed. Way to go.
