Went in because my truck was pouring out antifreeze. Told them I thought it was coming from the heatercore return line. After a full work day and being told they cant find the leak, I was charged $183. They did nothing, couldnt tell me where the leak was, and still charged me 150% the initial diagnostic quote........The kicker, IT WAS THE HEATER CORE RETURN LINE THAT I TOLD THEM I THOUGHT IT WAS!!!!!!!
Friendly staff and quality service.
My car was down with a cooling system problem. Pat, the owner, was very helpful. He accurately diagnosed and repaired the problem. A good job.
They took great care of me and did a great job on working on my RV
My husband, dog, and I were on our way home from a wedding when we discovered that the wheels seem to me baking noises that they shouldnt be. We called PDF from Green River Utah and talked with Wes and were able to get in the same morning! Joe (technician) got us in straightaway and back on the road the same day! This shop is lovely! They even liked our dog. it was as if Joey, the dog, was their shop dog for a few hours. Thanks guys for your hard work, great attitude, an amazing customer service!
My check engine light came on and I plugged in a diagnostic computer telling me that I had an issue with my idle air control valve. I called PDF and asked if I could get a quote to take a look and give me an estimate to repair/fix the part (I was expecting $100-150 all in). When I brought my car in they said they wanted to have a tech to take a look at it first before giving me a quote, so I said fine. After about 45 minutes, they said the problem was most likely with the idle air control valve but they wanted to do additional diagnostics to make sure and that would take another 1-3 hours worth of time, which would cost $90 / hr. At that point, slightly alarmed, I asked them what it would cost to fix the idle air control valve and they quoted me a price of $150 to fix it. However, they also said that since they had spent an hour looking at it already, that I had to pay the $90 for their time doing diagnosis. I find this a bit misleading because I had not been told up front that there would be a diagnostic charge and I already knew what my problem was. From my perspective, I should have been told up front that the diagnosis would cost money so I could make a decision on whether or not to proceed rather than being under the impression that they were looking at what the repair cost would be (especially since I told them upfront what my problem was) I paid the $90 and will be taking my business elsewhere. I am somewhat conflicted leaving this negative review because I found the staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, but ultimately, this poor upfront communication left me with a sense of being *dishonestly taken* in the end.UPDATE: after posting the review, I was immediately contacted by PDF and offered a 100% refund. I declined because the reality here is that while I didnt specifically request it, their technician did spend a significant amount of time diagnosing the issue and being a small business owner myself, I dont want to take advantage of them. We agreed on a diagnosis rate to account for the fact that a miscommunication occurred but also to account for the fact that their technician did spend time looking at my problem. Ultimately, Im updating this to 5 stars because in life, everyone makes mistakes but how we react / learn / resolve them is, in my opinion, most important and their responsiveness was exceptional. If Im in town again and have an issue, I will definitely use them again.
Service is excellent, John was such a great help! Thank you help me out with the 7 way wiring harness!
Probably the best customer service of any shop Ive been to! I had some brake problems on a road trip to Colorado Springs, found these guys and they had me fixed and back on the road the same day. Daniel the service writer addressed every concern I had as if the truck were his own. Pat the owner went out of his way to contact me and make sure everything had worked great the rest of my trip. I wish this shop were in my town, Id never go anywhere else. More than impressed!
My husband took our blazer here to get the doors fixed. Job well done.
Great employees.umupcharging with owner Pat...Oversize ramp charge.? I had a Bsize motor home... not large... but that was no big deal when compared to his attitude...maybe it was just an off day for pat... it was p7vrry ricey on my side of the counter...
Our camper was towed to him because we lost power going up hill. They looked at it drove it put the computer reader on it. Nothing was wrong. They think it just got hot from the hills and heat. They were very honest people. They could have easily told us something was wrong fixed it and charged us. I would highly recommend this place.
Got stuck in the mountains on July 17, 2017 near Vail, Colorado after a check engine light came on and a burning smell coming from engine. After several calls to get a tow truck, Dillon towing can and towed my RV, they recommended PDF to repair my RV. Talked to Daniel and explained situation, he told me to have tow company drop off RV. Told me it would be a couple days before they could look at it. In about a day and half, he had an estimate for me. Daniel and his staff were awesome and had it repaired promptly despite it being a thirteen year old motor home.
They were very thorough in repairing my 2003 Chev- 2500 HD. I appreciate them and trust them as well.
This shop has a long lift that accommodates full-size motorhomes. If thats what you have, you might get referred here. They work on a lot of them and seem to know what theyre doing.Be careful what you say here because the owner tends to share too much information about his customers to his other customers. He is getting up in years, complains a lot, and might be retired by the time you read this.
These guys are great. I was on the road in Colorado (Im from New Jersey) when I got a brake light out. Tools are about 2000 miles east so I couldnt change it myself. Stopped at Walmart auto center and got some pip squeak kid telling me itd be a 2 hour wait to change a brake light. Did a quick google search and found PDF, and from the moment I called Daniel was extremely helpful. They told me to come on in with the bulbs and theyd help me out. No more than 10 minutes later, Jash had the bulb changed quickly and effectively and we were back on the road safely. If you are looking for friendly faces, good quick work, and someone with an actual concern for their customers, then PDF is the place to go.
Well in the end this os a good shop. Took alittle while to get my Motorhome back bit they are a busy shop and you cant really blame them. When they were able to get to my motorhome they fixed the problem at a very reasonable price. And I did check their work and it was very professional. I do reccomend this Shop and Wes is the man to talk too. Cheers!
I am from the Denver area and had a problem with my car in Grand Junction. PDF looked at my car right away, even without a appointment. I was back on the road in just about a hour or less. Great people and great service.Dick Gibson
Motorhome lost power in the mountains three times at 7,000 ft. elevation with a warning light on. Two places couldnt fix it. We limped to Grand Junction where P.D.F Automotive checked everything carefully, knowing we had 11,200 ft elevation to cross to get home. Their help was all I could hope for, and following their advice enabled us to sail down I-70 to Denver with no problem whatever. we couldnt be happier.
Best motor home repair shop I have found in the neighboring 5 states. Took my home to many repair shops to get repairs on the suspension and after hundreds of dollars and many hours they were only ones to fix it. Similar problem with check engine light and they fixed it when others didnt. Dont mess with other shops in Grand Junction they are waste of money if you need chassis work.
They were willing to help out Service Street in Thornton with one of our customers quick and efficiently! absolutely go to these guys if youre in the area
I would highly recommend PDF Automotive to anyone. They are professional, friendly, helpful and do great work at a fair price.
