I stayed at Junction West RV Park for 6 months during a project I was on in GJ. I travel across the states for my job and I have stayed at a lot of parks. This park is clean, maintained well and extremely comfortable. The management was nothing but friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Thank you Junction West for all your help during my stay
Michele was very helpful when we had problems with our tow vehicle. She made arrangements for us to stay longer if our vehicle was not repaired in time. We also stored our trailer at their storage location. The storage location is secure and very clean. I enjoyed staying here very much.
Had issues with booking, which was a fault of my own. I called to see if I could change the booking dates and Melissa was so kind, helpful, and understanding. I really appreciated the outstanding customer service.
Stayed several days at Junction West and will certainly stay there again. Melissa was very friendly and helpful. After my stay, I decided to store my RV at their facility. Many thanks to your staff.
To hell what everyone says. Best stay for little money. Melissa is the best! Promote her ahead of peers…
Really friendly staff and understanding, park is really clean and nice and dog friendly!! Happy about our stay!
Due to emergency roadside troubles, we ended up having to delay our trip and stay in Grand Junction. We called multiple parks, all said they were full. West Junction had a full park as well. However, after speaking with Lance he not only found a spot for us at his park, but accommodated our very late arrival and over the phone check ins. He was helpful, easy going and understanding. The park was clean, open and easy to navigate with a 40” fifth wheel. We would stay here again.
Great place to stay. Nice and quiet. The staff is great
Great place, splash pad, lots of showers/bathrooms. Price is great!! Will stay again if in this neck of the woods!!
Last minute stop, we were lucky to get a spot. Late arrival They forgot to leave our iinformation on the door so we had to call 3 times to get our site number. All gravel but ok for a one nighter. a bit disappointed that they let a camper like this picture sta it there.information on their d
Beware! Their cancellation policy is awful. I had to cancel because of poor weather, and was told that, because I cancelled within 2 weeks of my reservation, I could not get any of my deposit back. We were only scheduled to stay for one night, so my deposit was 100% of the cost of our stay. Therefore, I lost the entire cost of my stay there... because I had to cancel due to bad weather... and I did so three days in advance. To make matters worse, the cancellation policy on their website makes absolutely no sense. So when you book, you cant even be sure what the cancellation policy even is.Weve had to change quite a few travel plans due to the recent cold weather and storms, and every single other RV park we had to make changes with either gave us full or partial refunds. (We have a lot of experience RVing, and it is very customary for RV parks to offer at least partial refunds if cancellations occur more than 48 hours in advance of the reservation.)We pass through Grand Junction pretty often, and you can be sure that I will never book with this place again. Well stay at the KOA, where you know exactly what the cancellation policy is, and it is fair.
We are staying here currently and the new ownership has been proven to be better. We have stayed here last year and the services were average. Currently, we were freezing up during the night and maintenance was very helpful and addressed our concern on the spot.My husband has talked to the office and I haven’t, but says they’re more than helpful and accommodating. We are from the Grand Valley and this is probably the only RV spot we will stay from now on.Thank you.
My husband and I have been traveling in our RV for 3 years now and I want to say Junction West is right up there in the top 3 places to stay! Very clean showers with hot water, very clean laundry room and when you go to the office we were greeted by some very nice young women who I felt went out of there way to be nice and helpful! We would recommend this RV Park to everyone and know you’ll be happy there!
Interaction w/ staff was always pleasant & the maint man Denny was very helpful w/ tips & on hands assistance. If in Jct. I will choose Jct. West as my landing spot.
Have been informed of a change of ownership from Michelle. I have stayed with Junction West on multiple occasions before the change of ownership. On June 20, I made a reservation for July 3-4, for my motor home. Due to virus resurgence, I decide at my age of 67 to stay home (Meade Kansas) and not take any risk to myself or others (health care workers). Called June 30 and canceled my reservation. Later when I noticed my credit card had not been credited I called to see about a refund. I was then told management had been changed and there would be no refund. I was then told the new ownership had a policy about refunds. Disappointed with the current ownership and hope others may be more informed then I was. Bill CottrellTalk to Samantha the manager about my negative review. My mistake about why I cancelled (Covid 19), problem was resolved. This place has been great in the past and in talking to Samantha I believe better in the future. Changed my rating to 5 star. How great for the management to care and follow up on reviews.
Wonderful staff helpful and friendly. The facility are always clean well maintained. Just genuinely good feeling place. You will be happy if you choice this place cause we are.
Gorgoues scenery and an awesome spot spacious and inviting everyone was very friendly and helpful. The Bathrooms sparkling clean as well as the grounds. Cant wait to come back 😁
The worst RV Park I have stayed at. The front desk had no idea what they were doing with our reservation (new employees supposedly). I reached out by phone wanted to discuss my experience with the manager but the three times I called she was never in to talk. The park is very run down with gravel and no trees. Prices are extremely high for the run down place. The laundry room was disgustingly dirty with dust and dead bugs everywhere. Waste of money and will never stay here again!
Check in for one night. New owners as of the first of August. No discounts. They did not tell me that my site did not have cable hook up until I went to the office to find out where I could hook up and was told that my site did not have cable. For the price they charge it should have been included or at least made known at time of check in.Very disappointed! Will not stay again unless it is an emergency.
I had almost the same experience as William Coltrell. I called and scheduled to stay August 1st to August 2nd. We cancelled the reservation on July 27th. I have not received a refund, but did receive the email stating that I would be receiving a refund. Every time I call they ask for my first and last name and that determines if Im put on indefinite hold and then hung up on or told that the manager is not there. One time when I called and asked to speak to Samantha (apparently the manager) they said one second and when they asked my name they said she was not there. At that point I told them I wanted to speak to the owner, which as William pointed out is no longer a Mari G and suddenly Samantha was there and got on the phone. She said she would get me a refund with the week. And of course that has not happened. We stay at tons of RV parks across the country and Ive never dealt with anything like this. If they can be this dishonest in their business dealings who knows what else is going on. I would avoid this place unless you want problems!!! There are a lot of other nice places in Grand Junction.
Super nice staff. Would highly recommend!!
Great RV park with helpful staff. Facilities are well presented and ease of parking is a plus. Location is not bad for going into town for dining & shopping, etc.
Love the cabins, and the woman at the front desk was very friendly and efficient!!! Would highly recommend this place!!!
We stopped at Junction West RV Park out of convenience. We were on a 14 day long roadtrip in our RV. The office was closed but the two gals working were still there. They were very friendly and happy to help with any questions we had but could not give us a definitive price for the site, nor was the price posted anywhere. We still ended up staying because we had laundry to do. If it wasnt for needing to do laundry and the friendly office gals, we would not have stayed. The main building is run down. The splashpad, if you can call it that, wasnt working any longer. They said it was due to COVID but my husband said the seals were so dried out theres no way it has just been due to COVID. It is due to a lack of maintenance. All in all, the front gals were extremely kind. For the cost of $60 for one night in a cheaper site, the owners should sink some of that money back into the park. (FTR, We have stayed at parks for anywhere from $160 a night to $35 a night, even the park for $35/night was better kept)
We were very happy with our stay there last year. The staff was friendly, we liked the close proximity to the interstate so we could drive to Grand Junction or Fruita very easily with both Gas and fast food nearby. The showering area was quite adequate and it is a quiet park despite being in an Industrial area, you still get a country feel to it regardless of that fact. We liked it and will happily use it again and will recommend it to others, price is reasonable as well. It could use more trees, and a larger dog park, but theyre trying to improve the park overall and its clean.
One of my favorite parks while on our road trip. The lady at the front desk had who Im assuming was her daughter or close relative helping her out when I checked in. The way she spoke to me and this young lady was refreshing. I saw her interact with several people while I was in the office and the dignity she spoke to everyone with was awesome to witness. They give you dog biscuits for your furry babies when you check in. While the park itself is not the most beautiful, they make up for that with maintaining the facilities. Each golf cart they have is equipped with all sorts of tools for maintaining the grounds. While we were there they had a 4th of July event that they organized for their customers. Very neat to see how all the employees were hustling to keep up with the park needs. You guys are doing an awesome job! Keep it up!
My husband and I have stayed here twice and its a great RV park. Prices are reasonable and the people are friendly and helpful. They guided us to our site each time with a golf cart and assisted us in parking. Grand Junction is hot in the summer and early fall, but that was to be expected. The grass is green, the showers/restrooms are clean and well-maintained, and the laundry facility is very nice. They have a small store where you can purchase some items and there is a convenience store/truck stop not too far away for any necessary items. It is close to shopping if you find that necessary, with a mall and box stores not far away. We will most likely stay there again. We stayed in our motor home.
We stayed here for 2 months as Covid 19 outbreak started and much got shut down. We stayed in a pull through gravel spot which our 38 ft toy hauler had no problems fitting into. Plenty of space in the spot. Laundry was clean, office people and maintenance guys quite nice. They have a loop around back of park that was nice to walk our pups along with 2 decent size pup parks. We received a lot of packages and mail with no problems. The WIFI could use some work, it got bogged down some. The propane is really cheap here. For us, this place was all about location. If you are into biking, mountain biking especially, hiking or trail running this is a wonderful place. We spent quite a bit of time in the National Monument, Loma, 18 Rd, Fruita and Tabaguache Trails. It was a great place to spend the shut down. We would definately stay here again.
Great place originally was going to stay there 3 months but my job moved me out. I found Mary and Junction West . after staying at Monument RV park which was a place from hell, very clean bathrooms and showers workers very nice and always working on the grounds. And what really liked was there flags and plank out front paying respect for our veterans, even had it at half staff on 9/11. I would recommend this place it was quite, clean, and close to everything.
I stayed here about 4 yrs ago. Wondering if there was a change of ownership or management since then? The level of care appears to have dropped from 5 stars to 3. Maybe its just me, but I like a couple of other campgrounds better.
It isn’t the parks fault that people fire up their grills practically under an open window, when the fresh air is what you were really looking forward to. The staff and super wide sites are great but Joe Public can ruin anything.
Always the best place to go for good time. I know I will get a fair price and a lot of kindness. The views from the park is priceless and having everything from gas stations to coffee houses to sandwich shop so close by makes it very easy to enjoy yourself. Plus all the trails are an hours drive away which can be very nice
We recently had the pleasure of dealing with owners of Grand Junction West RV park. They were honest and upfront and went above and beyond to meet our expectations as well as honoring their veterans!! We just wanted to thank them so much and let everyone else know what wonderful people they are!
My husband tried to reserve a site here and was treated like scum because he has dark skin and a beard. Absolutely atrocious and unacceptable. He was told there was a long waiting list for a site when he walked in and tried to reserve in person. A family member called a FEW MINUTES LATER and was told there was plenty of room. I am absolutely disgusted and further action will be taken.
Super nice and helpful staff, clean restrooms, quiet, close to interstate, large laundry facility, level sites. Will be back.
Great customer service clean place. Very disappointing in our site number 31 very hard to pull in to and park. As well as camper number 63 was drunk yelling at us as we have small children and it was only 10pm. We most likely will not return because of the locals are rude and inconsiderate. Thank you for the stay.
Staff is always pleasant and if you have an issue they are there to take care of it. Rates have gone up this year but well worth it. This park is very well maintained.
Nice clean, quiet RV park...lots of spots with many amenities. Clean bathrooms - just a bit humid inside. Nice small little playground. Small store in the office was convenient. Nice level gravel site...very spacious. Dont be concerned by all the industrial businesses as you pull in. A little highway noise but not bad. Only things missing were shade trees (almost none and sun there is bright and hot) and convenient cable hook-up (ours was mounted a ways down the fence from our hook-ups and our cable was long but not long enough). Plenty of TV shows available over the air so no big deal. Would stay here again.
My wife and I have stayed at Junction West on 3 different occasions and it has been great everytime. The owner and her employees are very nice and super helpful. The sites are big with enough room to park next to and at the end of our 40 ft rig. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in the area.
Very nice friendly people. They were very understanding when my motorhome had engine issue. Everything was very clean and well cared for.Only downside, park could use a little more grass, its mostly gravel.
Family owned and operated RV park in a somewhat industrial area near the freeway. Great RV park as long as you have the right expectations.PROs: Staff was very friendly and helpful, and they escorted us to our spot and made sure we were all set. Very clean and well maintained throughout. You can tell they take a lot of pride and care with the place. Restrooms and showers were immaculate, with fresh paint, and the shower curtains smelled freshly laundered. Water pressure was good, and there was no lack of hot water (though I was the only one in there at the time). Grounds are clean and orderly. Deluxe pull through stalls are nice and wide.CONs: Like many RV parks, its a sea of gravel. There are trees dotted around, but they are mostly small and provide little shade or privacy. There are small patches of well-maintained grass, but the predominant aesthetic is gravel, gravel, gravel. Shower heads are on the low side. Im 57 and it came down to the top of my forehead. No big deal though. You do hear traffic noise from the nearby highway. If youre looking for a clean, well kept park with good amenities and service, this is a great place. If youre expecting a serene park-like setting to sit out and enjoy the surroundings, this is probably not the right spot for you.All in all, I commend them for a well-run, clean, very well-maintained property. Just understand what your needs are and whether this is a good fit.
We currently live here and enjoy it. My 2 year old loves that a park to play is available along with a laundry room makes it convenient.
Great park with great service!
$40 full hook up pull through. Bathrooms and showers are clean and nice. Staff and golf cart dude were really helpful and nice.
Very nice park and well maintained. The owner and staff are friendly and ready to help you if needed. Nice wide sites, but almost too short for our 37 ft MH. The park is close to the new part of Grand Junction in case you need something.
Laundry is overpriced, my dog pooed and as I was getting a bag an older lady was already talking to me like a child Pick up the poop, I dont want anyone to step in it. First off no one should be walking through my site. Second Im an adult with three children and packing up to leave, give me five minutes lady. Nice on the phone, rude in person. If you absolutely have to stop then its not terrible. Dont go out of your way, and dont stay long. ✌🏻
Everything was good and Verizon cell service is good. Dog park is sand. Update - The 2 fenced dog areas are relatively small, one is larger than the other(maybe medium). Also, they cant be used during the day in the summer unless your dog has shoes to wear because the sand/pea gravel is so hot it burns their pads. There are also 2 small (1-5×10) and 1 -15x15 patches of grass that the dogs are allowed on. The dogs arent allowed on the large lot of nice grass in the center of the park or the grass sites where tents might camp. I get it, some not so great dog owners dont pick up after there dogs and because of that this is necessary. Theyre is a real dog park about 6 miles away. It is really large with water for your dogs to cool off in and room to run, however in summer you will need to go in the early morning or it is just to hot.
Our Truck broke down while on our way to Mt. Rushmore with our travel trailer. We stayed at Junction West RV Park and the folks there couldnt have been kinder. Our stay ended up being 3 weeks due to complications of replacing the engine on the truck. Mari and Tom Garland, our hosts were so very kind to accommodate all our needs. Even stored our trailer for 3 additional weeks after we were told that it would take longer to replace the engine. We rented a car and drove home to California. The RV park was immaculately clean and spacious. They really made our unfortunate stay a very pleasant one. Thanks, many thanks!
We had the pleasure of staying at this RV Park and had a Wonderful time. People were very friendly, large spots for our pull through 5th wheel. We absolutely loved the vicinity. We were right in the middle of Grand Junction, with easy access to Fruita, Colorado Memorial and Wineries in Palasade. We had a great stay!!!!
Spent 3 days here in June 2019 @ $53.88 per day. Excellent service at desh during check-in. Gravel parking lot with RV Receptacles. Nice fence to separate sites. Grassy area for tenters. Long pull-thru with FHU. WiFi very good at 6Mbps, Cable good with many channels and clean KOA type bathrooms/showers. Laundry at $2 wash & $1.50 to dry. Near industry park and Fri & Sat traffic noise outside park. Several barking dogs on Sat but not on Fri, odd! No explanation for the high cost. Taxes about $6 per day.
We stayed here for two nights and found it as a wonderful park. Everyone was very helpful, the laundry room was clean and close to our RV. We would definitely stay here again.
Great place to Stay. Very nicepeople
Stayed overnight on our trip to Maine. The folks in the office were nice. We didnt use any of the facilities while we were here, but the place was clean and easy to access. Id stay here again.
Overall, it was a nice park to spend a couple nights in. Here are the details of my particular visit...We stayed 2 nights in some tents, and we were the only people there in tents. We were able to rent a deluxe back-in spot that had enough room for 2 cars, electricity and a large grassy area to pitch a tent (although, being a site in an area that rv and trailers use, we were surrounded by them). The bathrooms and showers were clean and the water was hot every time we used it which is fantastic. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. They even had the grounds guy keep an eye on our site while we went to check out the Monument. The WiFi was pretty good most of the time, but seemed to slow and cut out in the evenings when likely a lot of folks are using it. The electricity worked fine as well. Also, AMAZING sunsets!!!Now, just like other reviewers said, this is located in an industrial business district. There is even a sign coming down the road that names this business district. At first this didnt really bother us- but tenting it was really loud. The shower heads were also really low. If you’re over 5’3 or so, you have to duck to rinse off. Lastly, there wasn’t much to do. Hardly anything in the rec room worked (1 tv out of 3 and 1 piece of workout equipment) and when we visited it was still too cold for the water feature to be on.I’d say overall, it was a nice place. Just not ideal for pitching a tent ....... Not much for privacy.
I love, love the solid grass spaces between sites! Clean restrooms and showers. Also laundry room.
Everything was clean. Showers were small and they spray water straight ahead at the shower curtain, which is kind of ironic because they posted a sign asking that we keep puddles outside the shower stalls to a minimum. They put us in a longer than needed spot, which was OK.
Great staff, level gravel pad for our motorhome. Staff outstanding. Very helpful and accomodating. Very clean bathrooms and facilities.
Super great Lady she helped us after hours to get b propane. Thank you so much!
Very nice, maintained park. People are super friendly and accommodating . Glad we found it for the night.
Easy access, wonderful staff, great amenities!
Very convincing to I70 and easy in and out. Good staff and try to accommodate all needs.
Very nice people, very neat showers. My kids loved the splash pad.
Great place for a one night stay. Quiet and well maintained.
I don’t write reviews often, so here it goes. The experience has been good (short of the electrical problems and the 5+ times a day internet outage) but I’m putting one star because I was reported for having a barking dog, (when everyone’s dogs bark here) I was lectured by staff about my vehicle sticking out, like several other trucks (which all remain in the same position while I’ve moved my truck) and I’ve paid over $1400 for a month. I’ve been doing the same stuff for 5 weeks, and on my “last” week (because I have to pay weekly) I’m told everything that’s been apparently wrong the WHOLE TIME because of what others say. I have moved from one site to another for other people. Ive had strangers and employees walking through my site when I’ve been gone, and people agitating my dog. Big dogs make for small RVs, so I allowed my dog to stay outside (in a tall gate enclosure) where she could roam, NOT BE HARASSED. Unacceptable! I’ve been clean, friendly and assistive. I may be new to RV-ing, but I’m not new to this world: I may be young, but that’s no excuse to treat me like a child. This is absolutely unacceptable!! If you’re a “millennial” and you don’t want to be talked down on because of how you look and talk, don’t come here.P.s. I kept my nose out of other people’s business. I didn’t report anyone for anything, i.e. walking through my site, antagonizing my dog, almost not able to drive my rv through because someone didn’t want to pull in closer, etc. The Palisade, CO park looks nice and it’s cheaper, but we chose to stay here. I guess that was a $1400+ mistake.
Great RV Park, full hookup amenities, friendly staff, great wifi and cable, washer/dryer, play area for kids, close to trails and lakes.
It has more shade than it first appears to have, quiet, friendly staff, no pool but splash park is great with younger kids.
We used the storage facility here when we first got our RV. The staff graciously helped us manuever our 39 5th wheel into place and later, when we needed to stay in the campground a few days, helped us to move our rig out of storage and then helped us to get out of the campground later. We highly recommend this campground.
Our kids moved in there at the first of August and they couldnt give them a monthly rate with twenty spots open, They want them to move there trailer and they have paid them over $1720.00 the monthly rate is 600 dollars, how does that work, dont ever give this place your money they arent even worth over star but that option isnt available
My wife and I have traveled 45k miles through 41 states in the past nine years and we have never encountered finer Customer Service than we received at Junction West RV Park.Due to a family emergency, we had been forced to cancel most of our previously planned summer space reservations and were without a confirmed reservation for Labor Day.While traveling north through Denver in route to Montana, my wife decided to called JW RV Park to see if they had anything available for the Labor Day weekend that would tie into a confirmed September reservation we had retained at the Grand Junction KOA. To our good fortune, Lisa answered the phone and informed my wife the park was booked full, but they had just had a cancellation and she told us to ‘come on’, they had a space for us. Upon arrival we were guided to our space and assisted with parking. The park has a great view of the Grand Mesa to the west and we’ve seen many wonderful sunrises and sunsets during our stay.JW has some of the largest (70 ‘ x 40’) pull-throughs we have ever encountered with rail fence dividers between each space and nice picnic tables. The surface is gravel, but has very little dust issues due to the type of gravel used. The streets within the park are 33’ wide, so there no issues for larger coaches towing. Utility connections are handy, but you will need a long coaxial cable if you require cable. The water pressure was a bit lower than we usually encounter, but nothing of concern. JW is located near I-70, but excessive noise is not an issue. There’s a Love’s on the access road if you require fuel and the park is located ~4 miles from numerous restaurants and grocery markets. The Maintenance Staff is continually roaming the park conducting routine checks, up keep and improvements, but are prompt to deal with any issue you might encounter during your stay. Just report your problem to the office or flag them down, they are all cordial and eager to assist.Today we end a wonderful 8-week stay at JW RV (cancelled KOA) and have booked for two months next year as this is a really nice park. The Owner, all of the Receptionist and the Maintenance Staff are top notch. Many thanks to each of you for making our initial stay at JW and in Grand Junction an enjoyable and memorable one. We look forward to our return in 2017!!!
Convenient with nice sites, but restrooms needed help!
Friendly staff, clean facilities, strong wifi
Got ripped off here. They reserved a premium site for me over the phone without telling me that there were cheaper options. The premium site distinction is that it has cable, but the cable was located 25 feet away from the other hookups and it looks like an electrical box, so I never found it. The campsite itself is drab, located in an industrial area, no views.
Nice park, close to the highway.
Nice place
Very nice very clean
We just spent one night but we called late and they got us a spot and checked in. it is a very clean and friendly place to stay.
Clean, large pull thrus, friendly
