I have had great results on fish. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable on the products and what needs done to your tank. We took a picture of one of our sick fish and they got me what I needed to cure my fish. They are family owned and been around for many years.

Aquatics and wow, so informative and incredibly helpful. We love shopping local and this family owned since 1969 business is the only place I will go now for all my aquatic needs. Great selection of tanks in all sizes, and I was really happy to see that their bettas arent in cups. Once were ready to add stock our tanks well definitely be back for their colorful shrimp.

Amazing deals on full setups. Only thing is the air pump is pretty loud lol. But amazon has the tetra whisper for $15 so no biggie. My tank took 4 hours to build while doing other things. Turned out spectacular.

I used to shop J&M Aquatics because I didnt know any better. I tolerated their terrible customer service for far too long. For the past year I’ve always gone to Western Slope Aquatics first, and only go to the other store if WSA doesn’t have what I need. The staff at Western Slope is phenomenal, the whole family. They are always patient with my dumb questions and always entertain my two year old by talking to him about the fish. I wish I had found them first and never wasted my time at the other store. I’ll be a die hard WSA customer until I die.

Love this little fish store

I was looking to support a local pet shop and found these guys online. If you check the Facebook they have openly stated they will not be following the CDC guidelines and not wearing masks. I am surrounded by love ones that are high risks and worry every day about bring the virus home to them. It breaks my heart that we cant put science and the health of others first. Go shop at petco or the other local place in Grand Junction that believe and support science and the welfare of the public.

Was a great store went in there today and got zero service we didnt know the chemicals we where looking and after waiting for 10 mins left with no answers

Love this place! We drive an hour to buy our fish and other supplies from them, totally worth it. This store is overall a wonderful, local family owned place with great knowledge, selection and quality.

Service and quality is unmatched. Dave and the team offer the best prices, and knowledge. I wanted a specific aquarium with specific specs and Dave had it delivered ASAP. The selection is impressive of any aquatic specialist and they are always eager to help. I have been in the store 50+ times this summer, making adjustments to my setup and each time service is better than the last.

Best selection and prices on healthy livestock! Their fish, coral and marine invertebrate selection are the best Ive seen. I keep two reef tanks and one freshwater. They have state-of-the-art lighting, filters, supplies and frozen foods. David, Opal, and Amy always provide wonderful service and have special ordered items for me. I recently broke something inside my skimmer and David quickly repaired it- and didnt even charge me for my mistake. These guys just relocated here. I think access and parking are much more convenient than their previous location. I bought my Convict cichlids, Oscar, and two Angel fish here. They raise the Angel fish themselves on location. They give a limited-time guarantee for their fish. Which is very nice Id youre new to owning fish.

I have shopped at WSA for over 20 years and have watched them grow into a premium aquatic retail store. Family owned and operated they carry both tropical and saltwater fish and supplies. They stock a variety of healthy fish and I am amazed at how much they can pack into a small space. If you are looking at starting into the hobby WSA knows their stuff. For the experienced they stock top quality pumps, additives, and supplies for those 200 gallon reef tanks.

This place has a gr8 atmosphere.

Talk about an uncaring staff. Walked in, looked around for for a few minutes, selected 5-6 items and stood at the counter for 5 minutes. Not once was I greeted, or asked if I needed anything. Completely ignored by all 3 employees for the 8-10 minutes I was in the store. I left the items at the register. I’ll never go back.
