Ive had Auto shops try to take advantage of me too many times to count. These guys are great. They tell you everything upfront. Their prices are more than fair. They do the job right the first time. I highly recommend
Couldnt get my state inspection scheduled anywhere else the same week I called. These guys were able to get me in the next morning and it only took 20 minutes.
I have so many great things I could say about this place. It never fails that places try to sell you things you dont need or take advantage of the fact you are a female but I have been coming here since 2018 and I always receive great customer service and excellent service from the mechanic for a fair price! I recommend coming here for all your car needs!
Worst customer service ever I called because my dad was near there and had a nail in his tire and had a cargo load for his sprinter the guy on the phone said sure come I’ll do it for him. When he got there the guy on the phone said no I don’t have time. DONT EVER COME HERE IF YOU HAVE CAR EMERGENCY THEY COULD CARELESS IF SOMETHING HAPPENS. WORST MECHANIC I Had EXPERIENCE WITH.
Very knowledgeable and honest. Steve is a nice guy who knows what he is doing. I will definitely be back.
Almost no one gets 5 stars from me. These guys are very good. I called Monday afternoon for appointment to look over my fuel system suspecting the pump to be out. Was told to drop off that same day. By evening that same day confirmed that fuel pump was the problem and offered fair quote. Originally expected to pick up Tuesday morning. Communication could have been a little better. End up picking up Wednesday afternoon, and bill was exactly as promised. I will definitely use them again.
My first time in a week ago. They were able to get me in same day to fix a stuck brake caliper and oil change. Honest, straightforward, reasonable prices, and excellent availability. The guys were also super helpful and accommodating. It’s an all across the board win in my book. I’ll be back. Keep up the great work guys!
Arrived without an appointment, and I didnt know they existed until I did agoogle search. The year before, it passed inspection at a Valvoline location near me. In that 1 year period, I put less than 4000 miles on this vehicle. While at Valvoline the previous year, I waited in the customer lounge as they inspected my truck. Being 64 years old, I nodded off to sleep. Next thing I remember the manager woke me up and informed me that my truck passed Missouri State Inspection. When Done Right inspected it less than 4000 miles later, my truck had a left upper ball joint that was very loose and failed inspection after 206,000 original miles. I purchased this truck brand new in 1996.And the straps that hold the fuel tank up on the frame were very rusted just like everything else and failed inspection. I looked under my truck and one was almost rusted completely through and the other one was nearly as bad. I felt very lucky the fuel tank had not fallen onto the highway. The mechanic did not pressure me in any way to fix it. He simply said that if I fixed the bad parts within 20 days and brought it back there would not be a charge to re-inspect.I recently finished the repairs myself ( Im on a fixed income) and from now on, any repairs, etc. will be performed by this establishment. Im getting too damn old to be crawling under my truckI give them 5 stars for being professional, thorough, and not twisting my arm to repair it.John R. Johnson
Awesome customer service! Great experience. Wonderful with kids! And the service was quick! Very helpful! Only place Im gonna go from now on!
Weve had work done here on 2 cars. So far theyve been great and better prices than other shops.
Fast friendly and efficient. Good people. Local business.
Stop reading reviews and call Done Right. The name says it all. Fast service, fair prices and one of a kind customer service. I won’t go anywhere else.
Fantastic service. I had brought an out-of-state car to give to a niece, needed a safety inspection to get it done, and was only in town for a few days. Before even inspecting they warned me I’d need exhaust repair to pass and recommended a few local shops. One of the recommended shops did a great timely inexpensive repair and the car passed inspection no problem afterwards. Super friendly, very accommodating of my tight schedule. I’ve recommended them to my niece!
I needed my work truck to get work done that day and they didnt hesitate to make sure I had it in time I am very satisfied with them and will be returning in the future
I googled them because I needed an inspection to get new plates. Everyone there was helpful, and the wait wasnt bad. I didnt have an appointment, and am new to the KC area. They made me feel comfortable, and didnt rush me out. Inspection wasnt expensive either. You guys rock. When Im not playing mechanic, Ill definitely come back to you...
Had a very good experience there. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They also searched for the best solution economically and didn’t just try to make the most money out of it. I really appreciate that. Would go there again all the time
Best truck and fleet repair in Kansas City, hands down!. We are an electrical & lighting contractor in So KC with a small fleet of service vans and bucket trucks. Steve and his crew all understand just how critical it is to get our vehicles repaired and back out on the road earning. The mechanical repair work is excellent, as well. And as a bonus, theyre all really, really nice folks, too! We HIGHLY recommend Steve, Janet and Sarah @ Done Right for any truck or auto repairs. Well never take our vehicles anywhere else.
They take good care of my daughters vehicle
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Attention to detail and expedient service. Couldnt be happier.Unlike many other shops, very honest and hardworking group of mechanics.
Terrible service, went in for a fan replacement for my vehicle, and when I questioned the price the guy at front got upset and started making excuses as to why he was charging me so much, and when I started doing research about how much the parts actually cost he got even more upset and started acting as if I had no choice but to get the work done . Would not recommend .And now after I have submitted my complaint abut the business the owner has decided to argue to me about my review and even started lying about the interaction we had like an unrulely child instead of owning up to his sons rude attitude and poor professionalism. I am completely appealed to the service I have received. I hope this experience I have had at this business leads to less business and a reduction of customers.
Went in for a safety inspection on a new car of mine. It had to be done that day. They were able to get me in at a reasonable time. The appointment it self took 20ish minutes and the fee was very low. I was very pleased with the service. They waiting room could use a little remodeling but who cares? WiFi was provided and my wait time wasn’t long. Seems like a trustworthy place. Well done!
Good experience. I just went for an inspection. Got me in and out. I will definitely go back.
Great service and people will definitely use again
Very knowledgeable and trustworthy
They did a vehicle inspection on my car with very little wait time. I appreciate their ability to work in customers. Great service.
They were nice and it was fast service.
My wife had a great experience there today. Fast and friendly service. Will definitely return in the future.
Wonderful customer service, got me in and out very quickly. Great experience!!
Fast and friendly service. Owner and his son were both good guys and got me in and out.
I had to get an ID OD for my new vehicle. The owner was wonderful and very polite.
I needed a car inspection and had to be close to the Grandview DMV. These guys did the most detailed inspection I ever had and I was very impressed with the owner Stephens professionalism.
Super friendly and flexable
They are always friendly and nice. I TRUST them that my car will get repaired and done right with them.
My opinion of this establishment changed dramatically yesterday. Ive been taking my vehicles to Done Right for several years now, after they moved in just next door to my former employer. Id always had a great experience there. And the two main techs that worked in the shop (Steve and I cant recall the other gentlemans name) were great guys who didnt try to oversell me or fill me full of nonsense. Bear in mind that I have done a lot of my own vehicle repair and maintenance for over a decade now. It just so happens that Im busy with a move into a new residence, and its just been too cold for me to want to dig around on a car. Especially since its dark by the time I get home from work. Yesterday morning, I decided to check my oil, and noticed almost none on the dipstick. Quite a shock. My car usually uses just a bit. But no way near this much. I suspected a leak. So when I arrived at work, I placed a piece of cardboard under the vehicle to see if I could catch anything. An hour or two later, I had a single drop. Which told me all I needed to know. I had replaced both oil cooler lines and all cam seals myself about a year and a half ago. So I knew those shouldnt be leaking. Thats when I called Done Right to see if they could help locate the leak. I dropped the car off at noon, and awaited their call. In comes the phone call, and I suspected theyd tell me that the turbo oil return line seal had deteriorated, or the supply line. Neither of which had been touched when Id replaced other things. Boy was I wrong. They said that I had a leaky valve cover gasket. Apparently oil was all over the top of the valve cover (technically a cam cover on this car) and as a result, Id need a new gasket (Technically, this car doesnt use a traditional gasket, and thus they very rarely fail) and Id also need new plugs and wires on the front of the engine (The plug wires have boots that prevent any oil draining into the plug recesses, as these vehicles get a lot of oil on top of the cam cover sometimes, due to the finicky PCV system design. More on this later). Aside from all that, I replaced the plugs and wires myself recently. I got shot a quote for $900 plus. Of course, I didnt want to spend that much money. And had my doubts about the diagnosis. I got out of there paying $40-something for the diagnosis, and went to see if I could get a second opinion somewhere else. After the place I really trust couldnt get me in, I decided to head on home. I thought I might as well pop the hood while Ive got a little daylight and investigate just where this oil was seeping between the head and cam cover. After looking around for about 30 seconds, I spotted the problem. Oil wasnt coming from a failed gasket. A hose clamp that keeps the PCV hose from the oil trap attached to the top of the cam cover, thus venting gasses and oil back into the engine, had come loose. With the hose clamp loose, the hose had a small gap between it and its fitting, allowing oil to spray out while the engine was under pressure. I hadnt noticed the oil all over earlier, since when Id left for work and added oil that morning, it was still dark outside. Either way, a quick 30 seconds with a flat head screwdriver fixed the leaky connection and saved me over $900. This repair on my part, makes me wonder if the tech actually did any investigation at all. Or just simply saw oil on top of the engine, and jumped to the first doomsday diagnosis he could come to, in hopes of catching a spider in his web. Had I been uninformed, and someone who didnt know their own vehicle, I may have fallen for it. Bear in mind that all my previous experiences with this place were good. They always went above and beyond to help me with issues. The guys that I used to see in the shop knew that I did a lot of my own work. They seemed like honest guys, so I dont think they would have tried to take me for a ride even if I didnt know what i was doing for the most part. But yesterday I didnt see one familiar face in the place. Im not sure if the business has changed hands. or what.
Good work, fair price.
Went there to get an inspection and they were quick and efficient, I would highly recommend them to anyone :)
Very honest and skillful mechanics.
Great place to take your vehicle for repairs
Loved the service...fast & accurate! The office needs a revamp.
Great service and great mechanics
Steve and timmy are great!
The worst service I have ever had. They had my service van for 3 days and still didn’t get the ac working.
Had my vehicle inspected here, they didnt seem to find all the issues, paid $300 And still have clicking noises that I went in with.
Steve was great... Thanks for everything
