I always find good deals at this place. It has been one of my favorites for many years now. Their prices are reasonable in comparison to so many other thrift shops.

I am a regular visitor to this great little thrift store. I find nice things in GUC priced reasonably, with occasional exceptions. They offer daily colour coded discounts on used clothing. This does not include accessories or shoes books housewares or furniture. They also have a reward system based on visits not amount spent. They also have senior citizen discounts but only on Monday I believe. Veteran discount for those who served our Country. Dressing rooms and plug ins to verify condition and fit. The colour grouped items help to speed up selections. The store is inviting, clean, regularly sanitized, consistent rules for all, friendly staff. They veer away from big bills for small totals. They know their inventory and will gladly answer questions. Good job Maj-R-Thrift. You chose to excel! I love stopping by your Grandview location when I head to KC from the Ozarks. Well worth a try!!!

First time here and I found some good finds!

But the sign says..Shop here all the time. Good selection. Prices can be be high but the sales are awesome. Except today when they wouldnt honor this one . Apparently only clothing 50 % off. I was told at the register with a full basket. They did take down the incorrect sign after I took a picture and showed it to the manager after arguing with her about what it said.

Today they had their president sale. Lot of raggedy purses. A couple items I wanted wasnt price. So I had to put it back. Overall want return.

I always enjoy browsing in this store. Nearly every time, I find something that I can use such as pretty clothing, dishes, or artwork to display on the walls in my home. It is a pleasant shopping experience. And on Tuesdays, there is a senior discount in this store.

This store is very overpriced for used items. The person in charge never seems friendly. I will not be going here anymore. If you are looking for good prices and friendly service I suggest heading to Hillcrest thrift in Lees Summit.

Tonight was my first time there. This place is fabulous! Huge selection. Nice items, all the clothes were in great shape, Name brands, alot to choose from! Marna was a good soul who helped me. Also you can sign up for discounts, alerts on upcoming sales. Check in EVERY time you go in even if you dont buy anything😬 Ill be back tomorrow. For me personally, when employees are kind and helpful and welcoming and have a good vibe, Im a loyal shopper. If not, even if it was a great selection like this one. I wont go back there.

It would be really nice during this covid-19, that you allowed more than two colors per day as far as the colors that you get discounts on like today it was only two colors I believe you should have a couple of more colors on their everyday that would help and thats what were all trying to do right now is help one another so instead of just two colors getting discounts 4 colors a day on top of yes the other things that you have discounts on alresdy

I have been shopping, periodically, at this Thrift Store for a little over four years. The inside is a bit small but nicely stocked. They have a great selection of colors, sizes, and designers/brands. Their prices are quite reasonable. They have daily discount specials based on tag color.The jewelry counter is stocked with unique items. They have a variety of rings, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings. Another great thing about Maj-R Thrift is the emails they send out to preferred customers about special sales!

My bank was having trouble with payments being declined. The lady at the counter had a rude tone with me. I’m not sure if it’s cuz I’m young but I am sure I’m smart enough to see when the pin pad says to remove my car and reinsert it when stated. I don’t need to be talked down at when I’m giving you my money. I was going to just run back to my house that’s a block away and grab cash to pay for my items but after this i won’t be ever return. I work for my money like every other adult in that store I can’t say if it was my young age who promoted this lady to act like this but I sure didn’t see anyone else being treated like this. I find this ironic because often times with people of her age I come across know far less about technology then I do as a young person growing up with it. If I can code do computer coding in 3 different languages I think I’m smart to read directions on a pin pad.The store doesnt look dirty or in I’ll repair by any means and prices seem decent I’m just writing this mainly biased on the customer service.

I love this store and always seem to find just the right items! ... The only complaint I have is that they staple the price tags to the collars of their shirts... Finding the right outfit doesnt matter if the first thing I have to do after buying it is fixing the tiny pin-holes so they dont get bigger from wearing/washing. No matter how carefully I extract them with needle-nose pliers, they always leave holes!! This would easily be my favorite store if they would find a better way to tag their clothes!

Not Thrift at all, many prices are as high if not higher than new retail. What a joke!!!!!!!!!

Its well lit, the clothes are organized by size, not color, and with 3 color tags on sale every week day and 50% off on minor holidays, its a great deal. The people are nice, too. If you shop often, join the rewards program.

It helps to have an open mind when you are thrift store shopping. Dont expect fancy decor or lighting; its just a bunch of used clothing and household goods. I have found some excellent bargains at this store and also found some clothes that were ruined by rips, stains, and even mothholes. You have to be willing to look at a lot of items and be selective. Also, when it comes to size, look at the manufacturers tag because sometimes the store tag is wrong. And be sure to try it on. Thats why they have dressing rooms.The people who work here are just like people anywhere else. Be nice to them and theyll be nice to you. Good job, Maj-R Thrift.

Store is well organized. Well staffed and friendly, willing to help. Clothing had been laundered and pressed. Prices reasonable. Easy to locate and park. Near to other shops and interstate hwy.

Furniture is super over priced. Clothing has some gold mines in there but thats the only good thing. Never anyone around with any authority to change prices and its annoying. U find something u like, then u look it up and u find the brand new item for half as much as the used item in the thrift store... Thrift stores are designed to save money on household items to avoid interacting with strangers on let go or craigslist...Not to receive free donations and then try to make top dollar on it. It was donated for free for a reason! For this reason alone, I will never come back.

Lots of clothing items. Prices are high for used donated items. The promo check in discount has too many rules to be useful. I have bought some good things there but it is rare to find a good deal on nice items.

My hubby loves the ties & sweater that I brought. Prices could be cheaper.... but some good quality items.

This place is alright. The clothes are clean and pretty organized but they put staples into their clothes to hold the price tags on! Ive gotten several items that ended up with big holes in them by the time Ive gotten the two and sometimes three staples out.

Great thrift store! Lots of furniture and housewares, as well as games, books and clothes. Found a few great deals on some brand name jackets especially.

Somewhat dirty and unkempt store. Manager was hiding in office and clerk needed help with a line 10 or so deep, she had to leave the register to go fetch the boss, the boss lady refused to budge from office and just waved hand orders thru the door at clerk. Clerk was very kind and wonderful, considering the amount of stress that goes with poor management. Many patrons, many items, not organized very well. There are very good finds and treasures here, just give yourself time to sift through the debris.

Nice place, good prices and selection just wish they would stop useing staples. The clothes always have holes because of that.

Very poor customer service! They make you feel like your dumb for asking any question that they dont feel like answering. You dont disrespect customers that come in to buy from your store. I will never return and would not recommend this location.

Kinda grungy, but when youre shopping thrift, you expect that. Clothes are hung neatly and sorted well. I have never seen a usable piece of furniture at this store.

Went to this location today and first thing I saw when I got out of my car was a red and blue picnic table and slide set! I was so excited. I immediately told the cashier I wanted them both and she told me I could finish my shopping and she would mark them sold. Well when I was done shopping I went to the register to pay and the lady told me she sold them to someone else!!! I’m furious!! I will never ever come back to this place.

Good place for jackets and fleece. Found a WW2 era mountain sleeping bag (down filled) for ten bucks.

I love Grandviews Maj-Thrift! I always find the cutest things, and unlike many other thrift stores now, their prices are still thrift store prices!

Worth a stop, Ive found some random/cool stuff here including old film camera gear, phone chargers, a wool sweater. I dont always find things when I go, but its got me intrigued.

Had one of their delivery drivers in a large box truck practically run me off the highway, on 435 Hwy. Then he proceeds to turn his high beams off and on flashing me for the next 3 miles. Could kill someone!

Managers are nasty and dirty... They never do there own jobs and they only hire people to do there jobs. They never clean anything in the store. Employees there always have attitudes. Wouldnt recommend going there at all. Also Prices are ridiculous.

Over priced for a thrift store, they got the stuff at no cost. Mind you they have business costs but the employees make just over minimum and you have a pair of shoes for 49.99 and furniture isnt much cheaper than a real store. If its a halfway decent item its way over priced.
