Nice,clean store. Helpful and friendly staff. The only downfall about Safeway are the prices. They are priced at the top end of all the stores in town.They are open late ( 11 pm ) and the staff is always helpful and pleasant. I always have a good experience when shopping there. !!! BONUS !!!If you have a club card They do have some great deals... such as.... $1.99 per gallon of milk. That is a deal I see every other time Im there. Hope that was helpful :)

Online order and pick up is AMAZING!!!!! I have been ordered online for months now and they have NEVER messed my order up. They are so nice and will actually call me if they have to do a significant substitution, and then they price match it. I love them.

I stood at the deli counter for 17 minutes waiting for 4 pieces of chicken while the only 2 employees made a lot of sandwiches for 1 customer. I understand they were doing first come, first serve.... however by the time I walked away, there were at least 6 other customers waiting

I enjoy shopping there, mostly for Friday specials. But every time I have my youngest son shop for us, he doesnt always get the special prices and then we dont get the deals and the checkers dont just help him by showing him, so we end up paying alot more money then it cant stretch for the whole month. 😥😥 Disappointed

Seems to be clean always friendly staff, But, if your in a hurry, dont do the deli, great food, but help is slow as molasses. Cashiers are quick and courteous, just seems like everytime I go to deli, their is no sense of urgency, no matter how many people, most times in afternoon or evening, maybe 1 person to help sometimes many people, and seems like they work in first gear. Maybe management should look into quicker help, or better training, or even provide enough employees for task, alot of people I noticed were, feeling same way.

Small, older store with a small veggie selection. The store always smells like fried chicken. Clerks are pleasant.

In and out quickly. Lines were full and within a couple minutes they opened more registers just so we werent waiting so I long. Their meat selection was much better then Walmart by far.

I go to Safeway because they have the best bagels. I prefer the sesame seed bagels. “Crusty” on the outside, chewy on the inside, the flavor appeals to me over the commercial bagels in the bread racks.I had to give my review a “4 star” because I was looking for dried fruit. I went to the aisle where the directory sign said “Canned Fruit,” “Dried Fruit,”etc. I searched but there was no dried fruit to be seen. I happened to walk down the aisle with coffee and found the dried fruit- aisle 7. So NOT a big deal, just annoying enough to drop down to 4 stars.I really appreciated the help offered by an employee (using the self checkout) since I am disabled. The store was well lit and clean. People were maintaining social distance and wearing masks. I found my items quickly and check out was a breeze.

Staff is always friendly and willing to help. Prices are great, and everything is pretty easy to find. Only issue that I sometimes find is the fact that they move everything around alot and so it makes it hard to find something when you are in a pinch for time. Overall I highly suggest Safeway for your grocery needs!!

Monday evening, almost 8 p.m. I called the store to ask about a fairly difficult thing to find. The lady who answered went and looked and found it. I was very impressed and grateful. My husband going down now to get it. We have used this Safeway for some time and they have been consistently helpful and courteous. In my mind, however, this one went a little above and beyond. I was in town visiting my daughter when I stopped by the store for my first time. when I first stepped in and I felt very welcomed. I had a very nice young checker, I believe her name was Mia. I think she was new because she was having some difficultys with the register. After a couple of minutes the people behind me started to seem upset and she still couldnt figure it out, she just started to bag my items and not scan them. I was able to get about $150 of grocerys for about $10. It was a great, clean store with friendly service, im not sure if its protocol but I thank Mia for trying to speed up the lines (and giving me super good discounts.). I will definitely be coming back to this store next time I come visit town.

If youre heading out of town to the coast or something, this is a great place to stock up on supplies. They have a pretty good selection of fruits and vegetables. There deli has some really great items as well for the on the go person.

Best Cleanest Safeway Location i have ever been to. They pack everything i could want neatly and logically, in a small space, so i do not get worn out walking all around a bigger store. The management is wonderful and caring. Produce is always fresh with great variety. All the produce department are friendly and do everything to help. Meat department is great too. Delicious Deli too.

Safeway is always a good stop. I havent ever been to one that doesnt deserve a good review. This one is no exception. Very helpful employees, kind and considerate. The store is laid out well, however, it can be confusing for first time buyers. So it takes some getting used to, yet, any employee can help and is ready. The pharmacists are very kind and knowledgeable. They helped me done Bactin for my wifes finger this time around. If the store was easier to navigate I would give it a 5. Otherwise its a great location to get what you need, be it pharmacy, beauty, first aid, etc.

I live in town so I normally go to the one on 7th street. But I was going to work and I decided to give it a this one a shot. There was a very nice old lady in the lobby, I believe her name was Laura who greeted me with a smile and chit chatted for a little. She also pointed me to the direction of what I was looking for because I have never shopped here. I was in and out very quick. The store was very clean and the employees were very nice. Especially Laura in the lobby, I have stopped in a few more times on my way to work and she is always there to greet me with a smile. Give this woman a raise, she deserves it. Although I still like the one on 7th street, I think this one on Williams Highway has stolen my heart.

Staff is nice. Flowers are fresh and beautiful. Donuts are warm in the morning. French bread is fresh. Soup is hot and ready. Bathrooms are gross looking idk what kind of bacteria is in there we should do a swab. Produce can be taste tested before purchase. Love how they still keep fresh baked cookies to hand out for free, nice tradition. Store smells like curdled milk. Good prices.

I prefer this Safeway, to the one on 7th Street. It is brighter, bigger inside and seems to be cleaner. Im sure they are equally clean, and its just the lights that make it seem that way.

Selection is slim for a lot of items. In fact, both Grants pass Safeway were lacking. Produce is always organized well.There was a young guy with piercings and bleach blonde hair ringing me up tonight, he was slow as molasses and not entirely friendly either.

You supposedly have a full Delhi but you cant heat up any soup? no Soup station no soup!

The smell coming from the meat department inside this store is VERY overwhelming, it smells like rotting meat so bad, that I could smell it through my mask and had to leave. Otherwise, the store appeared clean and well stocked. The cashiers werent very friendly, but Id be grouchy too if I had to work in that stench all day!Ill not be returning.

I have shopped at Safeway /Albertsons since 1956 when it was located on 5th Street. Now digital coupons are not honored unless I spend $ 179.00 for a new phone. Not customer friendly for retired on a fixed income.

Customer service ruined it for me, Ill shop at the big box stores from now on.

Workers were amazing, was there to get a money order, and the guy Kelly that runs the service counter was on break and had his radio off, and the workers ran around until they could find him and could get keys to get money order taken care of, not a fan of a manager that goes radio silent but the workers were amazing
