If you are new to Warhammer or are a veteran of the war this is the place to go. They have paints to try, painted and unpainted models to view if you need inspiration, and all kinds of events. Their staff has always been friendly and can answer questions about any army you play or are interested in. They also have forgeworld models available in store.
As this is the only GW store in the US that keeps Forgeworld in stock, I knew I had to add it to my vacation road plan. I was not disappointed! They keep a legit amount of forgeworld in stock, offering imperial, chaos, and xenos options as well as having most of the popular regular GW models in stock as well. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and can help you find anything you are looking for, or help you order and ship it if needed. I highly recommend this store!
We had a wonderful experience, My Fiancé and I had been wanting to get into Warhammer for quite some time. We FINALLY bit the hobby Bullet and we in on an army. They were kind enough to give us 2 practice models and thus was the first one to be built and painted for testing purposes. I think Our first model was a success. If you ever are curious about the hobby or just want to see how tabletop and Warhammer functions. LOOK NO further than this location.
Good clean store, ton of memorabilia scattered throughout. Store staff was attentive and very knowledgeable. Had a great time, will be back and strongly recommend to anyone familiar with the hobby or looking to pick up a new hobby.
This is the best GW store Ive seen anywhere. Beautiful themed tables, friendly staff, and one of only two stores selling Forgeworld in stock on the shelves in the United States. Theres a cafe with cleverly named tea, coffee, and food. Bonus points for all the old school Citadel rogue trader decorative boxes. Cant say enough about this place✊🏽
I love going to this Warhammer location. Anytime I want Warhammer I go here for my fill. The employees are always so friendly and extremely helpful. Plus, their set up is awesome.
Nice place. Lots of Warhammer, Warhammer 40k, Forge World and Black Library products. They also have a large gaming area. Parking is very, very limited though. Public parking fortunately just a block away.
Great staff, excellent product selection, welcoming atmosphere! Warhammer Store and Cafe perfectly balances the miniature game supply store up front with a roomy and well-equipped wargaming cafe in the back. The staff are warm and knowledgeable with helpful introductory offerings including free minis and a free first game for interested people.
Great store. Exactly what they advertise as, nothing more and nothing less. If youre looking for a fun cafe to stop by or trying to find ANYTHING Warhammer, this is the place to go. The cafe is in the back and on your way through youll see people embroiled in tactical wargames at the tables, model kits, books, and paints of every shade and hue, and likely be accosted at the door by the most energetic and enthusiastic team ever. They WILL offer a free painting lesson and you should take it! Mick did a great job teaching me to paint my first miniature, and even though its the first thing Ive ever painted all my friends who see it think Im a professional painter lol. Past that, once you find yourself a nice book and make your way to the cafe, youll find the tables painted with fantastic characters and a thematic menu of see great snacks and drinks. Be careful though. The atmosphere here is easy to get sucked into!
A couple of friends and I showed up to play our second actual game. The staff was amazing and helped us figure out our mistakes and how to play better. The drinks at the cafe were fantastic. I cant remember the exact name but the mango one was terrific.
Beautiful store and cafe with lots of options for creating characters. Very clean with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Parking lot is small in front of the store though street parking is available.
Im just starting to paint and was in to grab 40 paints for a project. I struggled for a min to find the stuff on my list. One of the guys working there came over and grabbed everything I needed as I called it out. Theyve been so friendly the 2 times Ive been into the store. This can be an intimidating hobby and everyone at the store has been very welcoming and patient.
Friendly staff, good selection, love that they have Forge World
This place is an experience. The decor is awesome. If you are a Warhammer geek you can get lost for days. Even if you arent you will still look around for hours. They have some cool merch you cant find anywhere else. My only complaint is that the LA cafe does customer service better. No one asked what I play or helped me improve my army. The interactions I had with the staff was buying things or them telling me how much better they are than LA. My son wanted to buy a rare model that they had but they wouldnt take time to tell him how it fits in to his army so he decided against it.
One of the best places to start a journey involving the games created by Games Workshop. A really friendly group of employees who have all sorts of helpful advice for getting into the hobby. The cafe has a very unique set of apparently amazing themed beverages and the treats arent bad either. Being located in one of the best spots of Grapevine there are also tons of amazing bars, restaurants, and little shops around for parents or friends to enjoy while you get a paint lesson or match in!
Good customer service, excellent variety of stock, good environment
This is the best warhammer store in the region. Very stocked, helpful and friendly staff, amazing showpieces, and one of the only places that stocks forgeworld miniatures.
Good variety of kits, tools and supplementary items for the hobbyist coming into the store. Nice and helpful staff that really help when you ask or when its necessary. Will definitely go again.
The employees are all nice and helpful! They seem like they enjoy their jobs and it makes the store feel welcoming!
It was so much fun watching the grandkids play. The young man made it so much fun for them.
Outstanding place. Employees were extremely friendly and helpful. Very knowledgeable about everything.
I come here for the great selection, but shout out to Gabe for helping me jump start my car too! Great customer service inside out of of the store! Keep up the great work guys!
North Texas is EXTREMELY LUCKY this store and the one in Denton are literal gems amongst Games Workshop stores. Ive been to many and this is the best one, denton 2nd best.
Friendly staff, tables to play tabletop games, and tutorials and information all around the store for any who are nee to the idea of the hobby. Oh, and a nice café with a variety of delicious drinks and snacks! Whats not to love?
This place is so cool !!! Such a great place for building with hands and playing large table games. Very good training and help for any games you wanna play or any games you wanna buy and build ! I would come back here again on a day when I have some time to spend playing with a friend or my kids ! And they have a cafe so coffee with games . Love it !
Its a good store to get all the stuff you need for your tabletop wargames. Unlike the Broderick film, the only winning move is to play so go build an army. Also the staff are very nice
The employees are so nice to new people getting into Warhammer, and the free painting lesson was amazing, especially since we just walked in off the street.
Very friendly staff who are helpful and informative without seeming naggy. Awesome displays and very well done gaming tables. Some really cool decor including some retro warhammer stuff. Theyve got Forge World products in stock and a wide selection of standard Warhammer and Warhammer 40k models, plus a HUGE amount of novels.
Dude! If you like boardgames and miniatures this place is EPIC. New hobby... Here we go!
Stopped in for a drink, and discovered a new hobby! Trey took the time to explain the game to me and how to get started as a newbie. I am excited to come back and get involved in tabletop gaming!
An excellent place to go and have fun
Great experience, very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious drinks from the cafe too!
Best place for your warhammer 40k needs
Fantastic hobby store. Friendly staff!!
Amazing store! If you love warhammer then you just have to visit! 5/5
Small store with big-hearted staff who care about the hobby and their workplace. The workers are always available to answer any questions and help find any specific items you might be looking for!
This is one of, if not the very best, Games Workshop stores. The store carries a large inventory of all GW products and is the only place in the USA that carries FORGEWORLD, right there on the shelves. The staff is awesome! Very friendly, knowledgeable and great to talk to. The Cafe is great as well. They serve coffee, capachino, latte, hot and cold drinks, muffins, cookies and more. This is a must goto shop foranyobe in the USA.
My hubby is a fan of the Warhammer franchise and when I discovered a store near us, I couldnt wait for us to go! They were stocked full of figurines, books, paints and supplies. The staff were friendly, and highly informed about the stores they had as well as the lore of the franchise. We will be returning!😉
I feel happiness here like nowhere else except watching bad movies with my wife.
Making the trip out to visit is always worth the drive. My hard to find forgework prints are always in stock and if I ever need inspiration for painting schemes or techniques the shop and staff know how to provide and teach it.
Amazing gathering place and friendly staff. Looking forward to return of events
DO NOT GO!!! I am a big warhammer fan and when I saw the review on this app for the store in Gapevine, I.was in my car a driving the 300 miles to get there.I wish I hadnt. Even though Texas is open, the leftist have gotten hold of the store enforcing, limited occupation, no cafe, fenced of games area. Yes apparently you can play with a reservation, but there are tons of dos and donts. You cant watch because they are too far aay.. bit like poll workers in GA.Havd to say it created my new record of less than 10 mims in store and nothing bought.BUMMER.
Amazing store, incredibly helpful staff. Big ups to Trey
Literally the best store experience ever
Great Warhammer experience. A very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff! The shop has an amazing selection of all things Warhammer! Covid measures: Masks were being worn by all staff.
Good environment for the brief time I was in there. First time there and the staff was nice, lots of good stock in, lots of space. Seems like a cool place
Amazing place!!! Loved how serious they were about the social distancing while making sure we could still enjoy ourselves. They helped my wife get her first squad of harlequins and were super supportive when she won her first game.
The store associates were really helpful and very knowledgeable. The have implemented AMAZING Covid-19 precautions that still allow for game play. They sanitize what you touch and decide not buy and every hour. Im also impressed when at this store.
Just visited The Warhammer Citadel and it exceeded my expectations, all Warhammer stores should be like this. I felt like a kid in a candy shop! The cafe is a fantastic touch and being able to buy Forgeworld models in person is amazing.
First time stopping by a hobby shop like this, it’s overwhelming at first but luckily Micheal and Caleb were working and were super helpful and informative. Ended up getting pointed towards Getting Started with Warhammer 40K. I can see myself coming back for sure once I tackle this book and miniatures!
You know why you’re there. then the cafe in the back is a pleasant surprise and a nice change of drink compared to sodas at other game stores.
The premiere GW storefront in North America, if they dont have it you can ship it to the store. Great looking displays and tabletops.
Really great dudes here, guys that love the hobby, and are very welcoming and open to helping anyone learn the hobby. Super knowledgeable, gifted craftsman, all around strong crew here. I get the impression they go out of their way to help nontraditional players find an enjoyable experience, because nearly every time I go in during peak hours theres a very diverse crowd of folks in there, which is cool, because I want anyone Im trying to get into my hobbies to feel as welcome as me. They also carry tons of stuff related to the hobby, so theres a lot more than just warhammer and coffee! If you are interested in the hobby of tabletop wargames, collecting and painting miniatures, or just want to find a great resource of science fiction books, you should definitely check out this store!Special shout out to my dude Caleb for pointing me toward a set of Space Wolves that came with a ton of different heads so I could make all of my officers and NCOs look unique and special! Also, free shipping to the store if you order in store, and hey, who doesnt like free?Check it out!
Really great store! There are a couple other stores that are closer to where I live, but I definitely prefer the café. All of the staff is awesome and the community is great! I participated in a secret santa gift exchange this year and someone bought me almost everything on my list! They are super active on their Facebook page with updates and whatnot, but are also active with engaging with their followers which is super nice. The staff will dedicate their time with you to pick out things for your army and make good suggestions. I know its their job to sell you on things, but as someone who works in retail they really do a wonderful job making you feel welcomed and not just a cash bag. I love how they took the time to remember my name and welcome me back everytime Im in. Keep up the great work guys!
On the surface, this may sound gimmicky to some. I assure you it is not. Not only is the coffee delightful, its competitively priced. There are a wide array of gaming tables, which outside of gaming events need not be reserved. There are demo games all over the store, and not just Warhammer. Silver Tower, The Burning of Prospero, Underworld, and so many more. The pastries are made at a local bakery just down the street, the coffee is locally sourced - being a part of the community is among their highest priorities. They dont serve lunch, but just across the street is a little sandwich shop they will direct you to for a Sigmar Sandwich which is absolutely delicious. Theyre partnering with other places on Main Street to try and do the same sort of thing with them as well.Mick, the store manager, is clearly excited about what hes doing, and he loves the hobby. I had a lot of fun chatting with him over opening weekend, and Monday morning, despite several hundred people he doubtlessly interacted with, he remembered me instantly as I walked in, and was quick with a smile and a hello, even as he was helping another customer. He was an excellent pick for this flagship concept. The store itself is well stocked, and carries a wide range of products, including Forge World, which up until now was something you could only import or travel abroad for, including at least one model that up until now was only available at the physical location in Nottingham. The atmosphere is amazing, with decades of Games Workshop history in the cabinets and on the walls. No spoilers, but if you own a couple of old codexes, you might be pleasantly surprised at the celebrities youll recognize. All in all, I had an amazing time, I will be traveling down that way again just as soon as I am able. And I can say with certainty that even my wife, who has no interest in the hobby outside of being married to me, had a great time, too. And if we werent carting children around, I would just bet shed have even played her first game.Tl;dr - Go. You wont regret it.
Loved this store! Really cool and a fun experience.
We just stopped into this store just because of the robot outside. The guy was so incredibly nice and patient with my 5 year old and 3 year old boy. He let my boys paint a model and was just so nice! Well definitely go back next time were in grapevine!
When I walk in.... I am awe struck!!!! So many models, so much paint, and so many ideas!!! When I walk into the Warhammer Store I am never made to feel I dont belong here or pushed away. I come here I am welcomed and made sure I am comfortable with all this splendor. I came into today expecting to get models but I got a book and Im still happy. Due to COVID19 some models arent just there because of back orders and other reasons which I understand. Im just so glad theyre still open and willing to help and they showed me even though during these trying times, good conversation can be found about a great hobby. I will always come here and cant wait till the cafe is back open. The drinks are awesome!!!
Turn aside customers not wearing a mask... FYI.
Its a great store for gw models, and it even has some of the forge world models like the death corpse of krieg. The employees are really nice and helpful. I had a great time at the store.
Super helpful staff! I dont know anything about Warhammer, but it seems like something I could get interested in. The staff answered all my newbie questions and more! Definitely going to read up on this hobby since its such a close relative to D&D which I love! Awesome store and employees. Dont be intimidated. Check it out!
Well, the entire store is cool, BUT I got the bestttt iced latte from here. S/o to the guy that made it, 10 out of 10 :)
Awesome experience! I came in to get a cup of coffee at the Cafe, then was curious about the store. A guy showed me around and gave me a quick demo of the game and a painting lesson! I got to take home the figurine that I painted. It was a great time. Everyone was nice and helpful. I will be back 😁
Awesome staff! Very patient and helpful with this noob and his thousand questions.
Very interesting store. Havent had the chance to play a game but always love browsing.
Great selection of products that you wouldnt find at any other Warhammer or Games Workshop store, real friendly and helpful staff as well
Took my kids in to check it out. We were immediately greated warmly. Then everything started, he got my kids 10, 8, and 5 involved and engaged them the whole time, from painting their figures to playing a round of Warhammer on one of the sets they had set up. The kids had so much fun, it was a genuinely wholesome family experience. They have a lot of tables sets that are available at no charge which is amazing. They love their community and it shows. Will definitely be looking into getting started. Thank you guys for telling us about the biggest hobby that weve never heard about!
Its Warhammer! The grand daddy of minis from the Brits across the pond. If youre a fan of Warhammer and want to learn to learn about the hobby, play, or read about Games Workshops many products with a hot beverage in hand, this is the place. Its also situated nicely in scenic downtown Grapevine with lots of shops and bars to check out.
This is not your typical gaming shop that is usually filled with arrogance or the feeling that you just interrupted the employees because you asked for help. I brought my family from San Antonio to visit my hometown. I had my 10 y/o daughter and her cousin with us and the staff were so warm and friendly and took the time to explain Warhammer to them. They came out of the store excited and cannot wait to play. Thank you for setting the bar of what other gaming shops should be even other Warhammer retail shops.
The staff was very informative and welcoming. The person I spoke with showed me how to paint a space marine and went over the lessons the store offers for free and different aspects of getting started with playing Warhammer. Overall, I had a great time in the store and plan to come back once I get started.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff!!
They always have the hard to find kits.
