Our first impression was wonderful. We made reservations for the back patio, which turned out to be the perfect setting for my wife and I to enjoy our much needed date night. Very attentive wait staff. Each course was very delicious and prompt. The spinach artichoke dip was excellent. The bacon-wrapped filet mignon was easily among the top five steaks Ive enjoyed this year. Her salmon picotta was perfectly pan-seared; crispy outside, light & fluffy inside. And the wine, cant forget the wine! Plenty of selection, something for everyone! I think weve found a new favorite!
Allergy friendly. Easily navigated my milk and wheat allergies. Excellent cauliflower crust pizza with no cheese. The sauce, toppings, crust, and flavor was so good I didnt miss the texture the cheese would have added on either pizza we ordered. I want to give this place more than 5 stars. Excellent staff. Excellent food. Picky eaters were happy. We ate lasagna, spaghetti, and pizza.
Visited on a Saturday during Brunch and it wasnt too crowded. They had good brunch specials, including a mimosa flight of your choice 3 flavors for $15. It was a pretty good deal, basically $5 per mimosa because they give you alot on the glass. The Mozzarella Caprese salad appetizer was delicious. We were disappointed that the meal didnt start off with bread, its almost necessary for the EVOO and Balsamic vinegar from the caprese. We had to order bread sticks which came with marinara and alfredo sauce. I ordered the Chicken Picatta and it was delicious! Surprisingly the meal came with a bread stick lol...My partners spaghatinni with Clams was also very tasty. We ordered the Tiramisu for dessert which was ok. The service was prompt and courteous as well. Would definitely visit again :)
We visited Napolis on the recommendation of a friend that lives nearby. The food was ok, but certainly not exceptional. I usually try eggplant parm on my first visit to an Italian restaurant and really go from there. The salad was ok, but fortunately the dressing was really good, so that made up for what the salad lacked. The eggplant was another story. We both tried it and both had the same assessment - fair, but probably not a repeat choice. The eggplant was served as 3 round pieces with none of the outer rind/skin attached. The breading was a bit dry/stale tasting, and the sauce was sparse that was used to cover the eggplant. There was a very minimal amount of cheese used as well. If I didnt know better, I would say this dish was a reheated plate or something that was a leftover and had some sauce added as an afterthought. Really not impressed. My wife got an order of tiramisu to go and didnt even finish it - said it definitely didnt taste fresh or even made in-house. Perhaps we just hit this place on the wrong day - check out my reviews if you disagree with anything, because I am very generous when leaving reviews and stars, so Im by no means being nitpicky, just very honest. To be fair, we will try again and see what happens the next time.
This Italian restaurant is a gem! All pasta, breads, pizza, etc. is made in house daily and you can tell by the excellent taste! Prices, food quality, and customer service are all top notch. Definitely worth a try if you want a more authentic Italian dining experience.
Very mediocre place with some good points for service until the end when waiter just stop going to our table, I have to agree to other reviewers/ customers, they do not follow any sanitary rules I had full view of the kitchen and it was not pretty to say the least, food taste was OK. We did not see or interacted with a manager or person in charge of quality of service or satisfaction. There is better options out there. Not Maggianos or Olive Garden either.
Good appetizers and entrees. Service was slow. Salads arrived before drinks and the dessert arrived before the coffee (which was just warm, like it had been sitting for a while). If you are going to offer dessert, make sure its not meh. Leaves a lasting impression.
Pros: decent food, good service, friendly staff, clean atmosphere and live music (sometimes).Cons: food is not worth the price, maybe worth half what it cost, and as a party of eight, each of our checks got an auto 20% required tip added. Im sorry, but forcing customers to pay a tip is an oxymoron, defeats the whole purpose of tipping. Not coming back here again with the gouging they do here.
I overheard a conversation between a guest and the manager that soured my enthusiasm to coming back to this place. The long and short --- The customer was giving some feedback on their poor dining experience because it doesnt jive with their typical experience and the manager told them to go someplace else.I was honestly shocked. If a customer has an issue and cant raise it without management getting ultra-defensive, it will prevent me from frequenting this place. I like knowing that Im listened to and that the experience I had, if negative, will be at least looked into and responded to with some empathy. There are too many options for a customer to get that type of service.
By far most tasty, well done food. I was very please with the food and the atmosphere here. Definitely will be going back with the family soon.
I was in Grapevine walking and getting to know the city. I entered this restaurant only by chance. What a pleasant surprise to find such a welcoming place, my waitress Sonia was incredibly helpful and accommodating with my questions. The food was exquisite, I dont remember the last time a restaurant surprised me so much with its flavors. If I could give it more stars, I sure would. Good Job!!!
I was excited to be sat without waiting. The waitress was there pretty quick. The food was pretty good, and the waitress helpful. I dont visit this side of the woods often, but I will surely be back.P.S. The Eggplant Parmigiana was DELICIOUS!~Thoughts become things; choose the good ones! #elpostdelatia
Excellent hostess Kate S masterfully selected a spectacular table. Good atmosphere and food.
Always the best experience and food. I get the Chicken Piccata at this location, every single time. Always perfect.
It was the 2nd best out there on main Street I love this place drinks are strong like I like wow 😙 so good food is the boom... will be going back
We felt like we were back in Rome! Prices are very reasonable and the support staff was friendly. Make this a stop when you are in Grapevine.
Great food and great friendly service, all that is necessary to make a wonderful night out.
4 people told the manager that my friend was not told the price of her meal up charge. We all ordered lunch portions. My friend was charged a dinner price. The waitress came back to our table to ask if she wanted chicken or veal. She said veal, waitress said ok. Never saying that it was so much more than chicken. The manager was argumentative and stood her ground. Any good business person would have lowered the price to keep customers happy. Remember, there were 4 of us who witnessed the whole transaction. The interaction left a very nasty taste in all of our mouthes. Manager was very rude and condescending. Food was mediocre.
The food was excellent, all of it, the pizza, the panko breaded mozzarella wedges, the fettuccine Bolognese with Italian sausage, and for dessert the chocolate bomb and the tiramisu were both friggin unreal good.I would give it 5 stars except for the teenage kids that greet and run the check out are dimwits, 3rd visit and its the same every time, not an ounce of enthusiasm, the two waitresses were excellent though. Take out for sure.
Food and service was excellent. This place is very authentic Italian food and drink. The pizza and pasta was delicious and prepared with fresh ingredients. They were very busy, with a wait, mostly due to it being Main Street Festival. Im looking forward to going back during non festival time and enjoy another meal and drink.
So many people have told me about Napolis and have said nothing but good things, and I finally went to try it myself and OH MY GOODNESS that was the best meal I have had in a long time. Just thinking about it, days later, my mouth is watering. It was super busy because of prom night but the staff helped accommodate us even without a reservation. We sat at the bar and both bartenders on shift were so helpful and friendly! I will definitely be back, and if you havent already, you REALLY need to try this place
Greatest Italian food I have had. Service was outstanding. Prices were goodHighly recommended you wont be disappointed
Came for my wifes Birthday. Great food, staff was awesome, great atmosphere. Desserts were A+. Highly recommend.
This is a beautiful little place for lunch. Great service, quality food and a bar selections. The management was present and made the experience inviting. Overall, an impressive place in a beautiful little town.
Food is not that great at all!!! Do not order the Veal Masala — absolutely awful (tasted like it was frozen and dried out)! My friends orders were also not great (Rigatoni dish very salty)… Also, Saturday afternoon female manager is absolutely the worst manager I’ve ever encountered! She’s beyond awful and only cares about their business and not doing the right thing! I nor my friends will never eat there again and we will never recommend this place to anyone!!
If you dont like it, go somewhere elsethis is what the manager told us after waiting for over an hour, then being seated at a dirty table with the prior occupants food and drinks still on it and not having it cleaned for 15 minutes.. 4 adults, 4 small children.we eat at napolis somewhat frequently, and i explained to her that this isnt what we would expect from them.. after explaining this on the way out, we were made sure to understand that she didnt have time for all of this feedback.. so, in the interest of going somewhere else, let me help provide some options you may consider for italian dining in grapevine:1. Cafe Italia - outstanding service, outstanding food, byob, grapevine institution. meat dishes are really good, you might not think that walking in, but very good.2. Ferarris - food is always great. home made pastas are top notch. can take a little time, very italian in terms of time commitment at times, but never been disappointed in the food or service.3. Stellini - handmade pasta, great waitstaff, nice vibe. really good italian food, unique menu. very good spot for food.all of these are within a mile of napolis. so, if you are looking for somewhere to have good italian food in grapevine, take the managers advice and go somewhere else.
This place has been my favorite spot in grapvine main street, since I found it. It has a great atmosphere and dinning experience. Always fan of the lobster ravioli or the lasagna. It always someone what packed on the weekend, but we are always able to get a table. If you havent yet tried it give it go.
I love Italian food and this was my first time here. I really enjoyed this place. Also liked that they had their own parking lot. Definitely plan on going again.
Taken back by management. Four of us visiting from New Mexico. After lovely shopping experiences on downtown Main St., we were looking forward to a nice dining experience. The Margherita Pizza was delicious, ONE out of the 4 main meals were above good. No real complaints until the tab arrived. One gal at our table and I SPECIFICALLY told our server that we wanted the LUNCH PORTION of what we ordered. A few minutes after our server took our order, she returned and asked my friend is she wanted the Chicken OR the Veal with her Marsala dish.My friend said hmmm... veal, please. Well, my friend mentioned (during our meal) that she was not impressed with the veal...that it tasted like it had been frozen. Still...no complaints. When we finished our meal, and looked at the tab, we notified our server that the charge for my friends meal was waaaay more than the lunch price.(At this point, our original server had left and handed us off to another server). The young man said Ill take this to my manager, but I doubt she will adjust the price because you asked for the veal.We corrected him. She asked for the lunch portion of chicken marsala. The young lady server CAME BACK to our table to ask if my friend wanted chicken or veal...never mentioned an Up-charge, nor a dinner portion.We. From out of town. Dont know their menu. We simply answered a question when asked, and then got charged nearly DOUBLE!The WORST part was the sassyness of the manager. Her attitude made our entire experience awful. At the very end, after NOT doing the right thing, she returned to the bar area and was literally laughing as she told the server what she had done...or rather, NOT done...like she was proud of how she handled us.We were so disappointed to have been treated this way. Mediocre food. Nice servers. Horrible management. Will not return to this restaurant.
Delicious shrimp Alfredo! And they had gluten free pasta and gelato!
We enjoyed our food. The fried mozzeralla was notable in that it was a large wedge versus a more common stick (i.e. more cheeze, less breading) and the pizza was very good too... Im not sure if all of their pizzas are thin crust or not, but ours was and I prefer that over a thicker one.
Delicious but a little on the salty side when I had gone.
Came here for a friends birthday. The atmosphere was pleasant, if a little chilly for me, and the food was delicious, but was disappointed that side salads didnt come with the dinner meals. Was also surprised that they passed on the credit card processing fee to the patrons, which doesnt seem to be the industry standard : (
This Italian Cafe was recommended to us by a kind shop sales person at a local tea shop up the street. If your looking for great atmosphere and delicious food look no further than dowtown Grapevine. They also have a bar for those who need an adult drink after work or night out with the friends.I chose a well plated Caprese Salad as my appetizer and Chicken Picatta as the entree. This lunch stop was enjoyed with my little boy. He had the rigatoni off the kids menu. After your meal make sure to stop into the adjoining Gelato shop next door.(Same Owners) the Pistachio flavor was a perfect pallet change up for dessert. My Son chose the watermelon Gelato which magically disappeared within minutes. They let you sample the flavors. Definitely a plus! Definitely recommend and has been added for future visits to Grapevine🍝🫒🍇
Beautiful place, extremely friendly team and excellent gelato!!
The perfect food and good time. loud lady
Being from New York, I find it hard to find good food. Especially, good Italian food. But I believe I have now found The Best Authentic Italian Bistro outside of New York City. Napolis is superb!! From the entrance, to seating, to service, to eating, I have absolutely no complaints. My daughter and I ordered Mussels for our appetizer. I have never seen such beautiful seafood. They were not only beautiful in color, but the taste was spectacular! And the broth...Oh the broth was magnificent!! Out server, Walker, was wonderful. He made us feel comfortable and took great care of us. His smile caused me to smile and that made the atmosphere perfect! I ordered the baked Rigatoni and it was a dream. My daughter had the Chicken Fettuccine and told me she would never go to Olive Garden again, and I agree. Good Bye Olive Garden, Hello Napolis!!
Quick Take: Great gelato, tasty frozen Italian Marg . Big issue with under-ripe tomatoes in caprese salad during prime produce season. We also saw some questionable service issues. Read below for more.Note: my daughter loved the gelato so much that well give it another try. Ill update following another try.Our Order:- homemade breadsticks (came with spicy marinara and creamy Caesar dressing dip)- frozen Italian margarita- Cookies and cream gelato- Caprese salad.Detailed Overview---------------------------------------------------------Scenario: I stopped in with one of tween-age my daughters for a mid-afternoon snack to round off an early lunch. We enjoyed a number of things from the kitchen (see above) and had a few hits (gelato and Italian frozen margarita), but also but had a few misses (caprese salad un-ripe tomatoes and staff that didnt match the restaurant brand).Bads:Lets start with the bad to get it over with: the most egregious fail was that the tomatoes in my caprese salad were horrifically un-ripe during the middle of prime tomato season. This may seem like a small thing to many people, but if you have any respect for Italian food (or any fresh food culture), one should appreciate the role that ripe tomatoes play in any salad that highlights 3x main ingredients: tomatoes, basil, and buffalo mozz (although this seemed to use std fresh mozz and the basil didnt seem super-duper fresh either ). The tomatoes in my salad had numerous green spots to tell me it was un-ripe and the taste was incredibly mealy. I would expect that a salad that showcases the ripeness of tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella in an Italian restaurant to have knocked it out of the park in the season when these products are in full ripeness. I am currently buying ripe tomatoes tomatoes from Kroger (or even Walmart) that are good to eat day-of. The tomatoes I ate today tasted like I was served under-ripe romas that someone had lying around and though if I used them in every other thing were cutting tomatoes for that theyre probably good enough for this tomato salad-thing that were serving on the menu.Another bad - Service:The service today at our table was good. I was hungry enough and didnt want to make a scene with kiddo to send my food back and expect something else. At that point I just let my server know I had an issue. I showed her the sad state of the tomato. She wasnt quite sure what to so I just said it was under-ripe and she was really kind about it and said shed let the chef know. I never know if they do or not, but hopefully he and his team get the feedback. The others on the servers / crew team that I watched were not quite up to this same level. They were getting pretty squirrely with each other while on stage (in view of customers) and some that were interacting with customers had eye rolls, and seemingly rough interactions going on. Im not a huge stickler of all of this, but there was a general vibe with the overall attitude that seemed a little off-putting as I watched it from afar. The good:Now getting onto the things we loved: The gelato was our main draw and did not disappoint. My daughter checked out the flavors at the market prior to coming to the restaurant and pre-tested tiramisu gelato. While she couldnt pass up her all-time favorite of cookies and cream, the fact that this new flavor shes never tried took a close second, says something! My frozen treat was the frozen margarita. This was incredibly tasty, as I loved the layered flavors and control of sweetness on this one.We also enjoyed homemade breadsticks as these came first as we were waiting for our desert and salad course to arrive. These were flakey and enjoyable, easy to break apart to enjoy the two dip options (ceaser and spicy house marinara) . The dips themselves were okay-to-good by themselves, almost seeming heavy own their own without either totally landing as a true compliment to the breadsticks. We probably enjoyed them most when my daughter created a combo of the two dips together on a separate plate.
This is again a wonderful little coffe shop in downtown Grapevine. They have really great gelato. Its mainly set up like a retail store but dont get me wrong there are treats & sweeties to be had here so stop on in and enjoy the equally sweet cashiers here waiting to beam a big smile at you. Now let me be clear this is the coffee shop next to the cafe by the same name. I hear good things about the cafe also.
Good food and service. Nice wine by the glass selection. Only issue was the rushed service, brought out soup and entre at the same time and responded like it was normal. Saw similar experience at other tables with salad and entre delivered together
Delicious and amazing ambiance! Needs more staff though.
Amazing braised short rib. Could eat it with a spoon.Lobster ravioli was perfect balance on flavor. Will be going back.
First time Doug and I had been to Napolis in Grapevine. We were greeted and seated very quickly. Our server Zander was awesome and very attentive thru our whole dining experience. The food was wonderful and the prices were very reasonable. Also loved the Market next door. I highly recommend this restaurant to you!
I had a great experience at this small, Local Grapevine Italian bistro. Their meet and cheese board with a flight of mimosas hit the spot for a nice afternoon chat with friends. People tell me their dinner and lunch offerings are also good but you will have to visit and try for yourself. I’d recommend this place and the pace across the street for a superb charcuterie experience!
Food was adequate. The staff was very unenthusiastic. No smiles. No greetings. I currently work in food service and I hope I come off more warm and welcoming than this staff. Also, waitress had difficulty getting our receipts correct. We finally gave up and just paid. Still left the poor girl a very generous tip. 30%
We just went for dessert and wine. It was awesome.
High quality food, the staff is very friendly, wonderful calm environment, outside seating. One of my favorite places to eat! Support your local businesses!
AMAZING RESTAURANT!!!! The food is absolutely delicious! I’ve been here a couple of times and honestly all of these dishes & desserts are heavenly! The staff is very friendly as well! Cant wait to come back soon!
Chicken Marsala, Chicken Piccata, Bruschetta, Tomato soup, cheese cake and more. All great.
This place was outstanding! Food was incredible and service was truly 5 star!
I work down the street from Napolis and this place is a huge favorite of ours! Weve always had fast service and our orders have always been correct. Weve sat at the bar a few times after work and enjoyed a stiff drink or two. I will always recommend Napolis for some damn good Italian!
Grapevine resident here, we love Main Street & supporting the businesses there.Napolis a great little Italian restaurant if youre looking to eat on Main. Dont order the kids meals- $14 for a tiny bowl of pasta 🙄. Service is hit or miss. Lasagna is great!
Good traditional italian food in a comfortable doing. Their tomato sauce is delicious, and the staff is always pleasant and accommodating. They happily customized a dish by subbing fried eggplant, usually served in the eggplant parmesan, for chicken in a dish, and it was wonderful. Its also fun to shop in the little Italian grocery, gelato, and pastry shop they have next door.
Really good food. Not overpriced!
My wife and I were in today 3/28 and found the atmosphere delightful, service by Clay outstanding and Jack behind the bar outgoing personality. The food delicious and not small plates. Will be back with our friends.❤️
So good. Really liked the atmosphere and the food. Service was excellent.
A FANTASTIC experience!!! Ate brunch and dinner(2×s). Service was prompt, dishes are to die for!!...Almost(LOL)
Everything and I do mean everything was amazing. The food was so good. The atmosphere was great. I wanted to go back the next day. Give this place a try. Go place with or without children.
The best restaurant on Main Street! Great customer service. Appetizers & entrees came out fast. The food was delicious! Very reasonable prices!
Cute restaurant right in downtown Grapevine that serves exalent Italian American food. They also feature some more traditional Italian dishes but thats not my thing. A good time to be had by all.
Good food and attentive staff. All around a good experience.
We had a wonderful time. The food was amazing and beautiful.
One of the best Italian restaurants Ive been in a while! If you like meat dont miss the ribs with mushroom risotto! Beef carpaccio was also delicious!
Food was good. Service was excellent. Prices in line with Grapevine overall.
Holy cow it’s so good! Especially the dessert. Very pretty atmosphere and very helpful servers! The birthday conolis were my absolute favorite. Although I was full I didn’t want to stop eating. Loved it! Made for a wonderful birthday dinner 😊
Awesome food and atmosphere. Pizza was great, chicken piccata was fantastic. I own the Concierge Network in the hotels and we send guests there regularly and always hear positive feedback.
Nice date atmosphere, great service, friendly staff, so starting out pretty awesome. Food was not bad, but not excellent either. A major plus for the fresh grated parmesan they bring you. I would eat there again if I was in Grapevine and wanted Italian, but not making a trip out there to eat it, if that sums it up.
Came for a quick lunch from work. The shrimp diavolo was so good! Staff is very nice and attentive. Will come back!
Someone at the salon next door recommended Napolis for lunch while I was waiting for my wife. She said it had the best lasagna in the whole area. Turns out she was absolutely correct. We fell in love with the people, the atmosphere, and the food. We have been regulars ever since. The lasagna is awesome. The salmon is amazing. The appetizers will keep also keep you coming back. And the pizza? Incredible!
