I have a childhood back injury that gives me problems once in a while. Going to a chiropractor helped in the past but was becoming less effective because my muscles were too tight. I usually only have pain for a few days but this time I was going on two weeks of pain that over the counter pain meds couldnt touch. This interfered with my sleep and in turn made the pain worse, creating a nasty cycle. I dont like to be touched but the last thing I wanted was a highly addictive prescription that masked the pain only for it to flare up again later rather than solving my problem. Terrie did an excellent job. Id never had a massage and dont know anything about the trade, but it was apparent right away that she was both knowledgeable and very skilled. After about 10 minutes my apprehensiveness about being touched faded, and as someone whose muscles are always tense, I cant remember ever being able to get them to relax that much. I only went for 30 minutes but I left feeling a lot better and Ill definitely be going back.
