This is our third vehicle from the Gandrud dealerships. We have always had good experiences with the dealerships and the people.Tara was really amazing at communicating with me throughout the whole process. She was quick to respond and very personable.Eric in the finance department was very helpful and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain any questions that we had.It was a great experience.
I got my oil changed here, which took 45 minutes and cost $63, and was told everything in my car looked fine. However, Gandrud Chevrolet left a light on and my battery died hours later. After jumping it, an emissions light was on. Upon taking it to AutoZone, they told me I would need to replace my engine control module. I reached out to Gandrud and was told Id be contacted; I was contacted, but the email just said to call. I called, and was told to call back the next day when someone else was there. In the interim, I took my car somewhere else, where I ended up having to get a new battery. Fortunately, the emissions light was an error after the battery initially died. Heather in the service department was kind when I did get in touch with her, but overall, not a good experience and I wont be returning here.
Oil change.When going over work sheet. The kid stated he put 60 lbs of air in my tires on my 3/4 ton. He said he got the information of the door frame.My tires take 80 lbs but he deflated them to 60 lbs. so I asked him to put it back. I looked at the information on the door frame and there were 3 different size tires. He took the first one. I would say to teach them to read the tires not the door frame. Lucky I know what it is supposed to be. Others probably don’t pay attention and they will get premature wear on their tires. I think he was trying to be thorough.
The dealership was great, the part that made me mad was it is a 2017 with less than 60,000 miles and I had to spend over 2000 dollars on a injector rebuild on it. When you buy a Chevy truck I think of reliable dependable truck and I am not happy with this repair at this time and I guess I can expect to sale it before I hit 120000 miles so I don’t have to rebuild injectors again. Now that doesn’t sound like reliable dependable truck that I can count on.
Called a month before a road trip to get maintenance. They did not call back until AFTER the trip. Finally got in, and am hoping the actual service was thorough and well done (well see...its only been a few days. Its the reason for the second star - hoping at least the work is good). When I went to pick up the vehicle, I walked around for 10 minutes, sent from window to window trying to find the Chevy clerk. No one bothered to ask if I needed directions - just continued to send me to the next window. wow. Does no one working there know that an Equinox is a Chevy product? Since I DONT work there, how am I supposed to just know where to go??? And no one offered to go through the charges with me...just expected the money. The staff at the Chevy clerk window were rather rude. A few lessons in people skills and customer service would be well worth it!
I went in for an oil change on 9/24, on 9/27 when I left for work there was a 2 foot round puddle of oil on my garage floor. I brought my truck back to Gandrud and asked them to check everything and make sure the plug and filter were tight, after a few minutes they came and got me and told me everything was tight and my rear main seal was leaking and Id have to get in right away to have it replaced. I asked 2 more times if they were positive that the plug and filter were tight and they swore up and down that they were tight and that my truck needed service right away, so I set up an appointment and brought my truck home and parked it. After letting my truck sit for 2 days there was not 1 single drop of oil under my truck, needless to say I canceled my appointment and will not be back. I would highly recommend that if you need service on your vehicle you find somewhere else to have it done, the employees at Gandrud will lie to you and try to take advantage of you.

All of the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. My only complaint was that the car was supposed to be detailed prior to my purchase. There were many areas that were not cleaned well. Other than that my experience was good.
We went for an oil change on our 2018 Silverado. I had GM Reward points to use. I couldn’t redeem because of difficulty on the GM Rewards redemption site. The customer service rep introduced us to one of the salesman on the floor, Tanner Ward. We especially want to give recognition to Tanner for helping us. We weren’t looking to buy but he helped us get into our Rewards account and redeem for the oil change. He was so friendly and helpful. It was all good. The dealership was neat and clean, the inventory was low and I got my oil change free because it was my first one on my new 2020 Trax.
This is the second time in a row that had my tires rotated and one of the lug nut caps was not put back on or was not secured by the technician and came off and was lost. Also on my visit before this one thry did not place my lock nut lock/key back in the car. They left it under the hood. This is my 3rd lease from Gandrud and have always had my oil changes and tire rotations done by them without any issues. Seems like things are going down hill in this department.
I arrived about 10am for a fast lube oil change---way too many cars in line so I left to return later in the afternoon. I did receive my oil change promptly, but...I have dealt with several dealerships in the past, and I would prefer to make an appointment so dont think I will return to Gandrud.
On oct 19th was in for a lube job my son and I went to the two different coffee makers which we knew nothing about how they worked When a very young gandrud employee came up to us and offer us his help.wish I caught his name .His attitude makes the difference in customer satisfaction .
We needed a car repair and even though they were busy, they said we could drop off our car and they would do their best to fit it in. We were not in any rush, but they had the car fixed in a day!
Bought a certified pre-owned Chevy Silverado from Gandrud last week and my experience was phenomenal. Tara is an excellent salesperson and made the whole trade in process super easy. Went for oil change in the afternoon. My vehicle was serviced and delivered in less than a half hour. Price was reasonable and service was done correct.
I had a great experience at Gandrud and always do! Jim is great! One thing though is that I specifically asked if my credit would be ran only one time by GM Financial, whom I was financing with. I was told by Jim and the finance manager that it would only be ran one time. I even wrote that only GM had permission to run my credit on my finance application. The finance manager said “only sketchy dealers do that” yet here I am with two hard inquiries on my pretty credit report. Not happy about that. The rest of my experience was excellent.
I was greeted by a mechanic as I exited my car. I quickly informed him what was necessary. In less than 45 minutes, my car was complete and ready to go. Everyone was helpful and courteous and I had an awesome experience.

I bought a vehicle from Mark in 2017. Recently I decided to upgrade when I saw a truck I liked that had the features I was looking for. The dealership did a great job matching the trade in price I got from a different dealership and then getting the truck I wanted from the place that had it. Mark did a good job initiating the finance process so I didn’t have to go through the hassle of going to the credit union to do it. He then did a very nice job of taking me through all the features of the truck on the day I purchased. This truck is my dream vehicle and I am ecstatic with how easy the process was through this dealership. I’m hoping to have this truck for a very very long time. My experience was great

I purchased a vehicle 2 months ago. After 2 weeks I started to feel a vibration. Upon taking it to my trusted mechanic, I found out I will need work done on the transmission and the tires were not balanced correctly. The tires were brand new and balanced and installed by gandrud. This resulted in my new tires having abnormal wear after only 2,000 miles. I called last week and have yet to get a return call. Definitely not the service I expected when spending $35,000.
The service technicians at Gandrud are always outstanding. They are prompt to respond, listen to my concerns or requests for service, and they make every effort to take care of me as a customer. They keep me informed throughout each visit, and thoroughly explain what was done.
The reviews dont lie. Came in after an exhaustive search. Didnt like the vehicle I came to look at. My sales guy, Candido, was very patient with me and helped me find the right vehicle for me.There was no pressure, no urgency to complete the sale and no push to put me into a $50,000 luxury vehicle. There was no waiting when I arrived, which was a big relief. The person who coordinated my oil change/tire rotation was thorough and a pleasure to work with. The waiting area was accommodating with seats 6 feet apart.
The regular service was just fine. However, the best part of my experience was over at the collision center. I had a scratch in the paint of my vehicle and the gentleman was kind enough to take a look at it. He went as far as to grab a buffer and ended up buffing it out to a point that it was no longer noticeable. I wish I would have caught his name but I am very happy with the extra effort he put in.

Brought my wifes car in for an oil change last week and everything went smooth not too long of a wait. 6 days later there is oil leaking on my garage floor. Brought the car back and they got it in immediately and found both the drain plug and oil filter gaskets leaking. They fixed it at no charge but what a hassle having to bring it back for such a routine maintenance.

This was the best vehicle purchase experience I have ever had. From the first phone conversation to when we walked into the dealership, we felt comfortable and respected. Derek guided us through the purchase process, explaining and not pressuring us. His communication and followup with us before and after the sale has been fantastic.Both Debbie and I felt that our business was apperciated.
The service was good, as it always is. My one complaint would be the extra charge for using a credit card. Our society has gone mostly cashless but your business is trying to reap extra profits during this difficult time.

Our salesman, Tom Ewing, listened to us and worked with us throughout the process. And even after we agreed on the price, he gave us the Black Friday discount even though he didnt have to. When I couldn’t locate a 2020 Silverado With the trailering equipment I was looking for locally, I started looking at dealerships outside the Milwaukee area. I found one at Gandrud, left a message on their website and received a call shortly afterward. The truck wasn’t even built yet and Derek Bell (our sales associate) kept us updated on a regular basis until they received it. Derek is amazing to work with, I honestly believe his priority is making sure his customers are completely happy with their purchase. I have been going to the same Chevy dealership in Milwaukee since 1990 so I was a little unsure of going to a different one but our experience with everyone at Gandrud was great. Just had my oil changed there and when I went to pay they said there was a new fee of 3 percent for using credit cards. Are you kidding me?! Will not be going back.

Everything went well but the waiting room had a terrible smell of old waste oil. I was sick of smelling it for over an hour and a half that I waited for a ten minute oil change. The oil level on the dipstick is way above the full level. I am not sure it should be that full. I am hopeful they know what they are doing and this doesnt ruin my engine.
Last time I was there, I had an awful experience. I had purchased an extended warranty when I bought the truck new from Gandrud. Brought it in for service and was told I owed $1800 for service that needed to be done. I mentioned the warranty and was told by service writer and mechanic that the extended warranty would not cover what needed to be done. Paid the $1800 and left. A few days later, I reached into the glove box and read over the extended warranty. Surprise! What was done to my truck was covered. I called the Warranty Program and I was informed that Gandrud would have needed to call PRIOR to service being performed for anything to be covered. Basically, Gandrud STOLE $1800 from me. They sold me a warranty for $2700 and then didnt apply it when they should have. I was irate and I was never coming back. Fast forward a few years, Ryan at the service center took care of me this time. I was happy to be able to use some of the warranty money I had spent. Thanks Ryan!!
Dave Bjorkman gave us 5 star sales service...again! This was our 5th vehicle that weve had the opportunity to work with Dave (4 leases and a truck purchase) and we couldnt be happier. Weve loved leasing our Chevy Equinoxes but it was time to upgrade. Dave introduced us to the Chevy Blazer and we fell in love! Our lease didnt actually come due until Nov and there was no pressure to turn the car in early or to make any buying/leasing decisions immediately. Dave helped us pick out our new Blazer and made sure that we were comfortable with the cars features before we drove off the lot. Bonus that Gandrud took care of the last two lease payments for us! We recently bought an SUV for one of our granddaughters. Rich helped us do this long distance. He did an amazing job to make our purchase flawless, even going so far as to top her new vehicle with a huge bow when she came to pick it up. He made sure she had a great experience. Before we moved to Tennessee, we had purchased all of our vehicles from Gandrud. Their service had always been superior, and the car dealers cant hold a candle to them down here. Everytime we bought a vehicle from them, they delivered it to us totally detailed. They do not do that down here. I would recommend them to anyone.

I was able to easily schedule the work. When I arrived they were ready for me. The service person called to check on a new issue and I gave the OK to take care of the new issue. They had a shuttle driver available to drop me off at work and pick me up again when my car was ready. The entire experience was simple and easy!
I did the research for my tires and set appointment for the following week.When I arrived for my appointment was told the tires were not there and should be in the afternoon.So I called someone to come and get me. Shuttle was not an option because having to move during the day at work. Little inconvenient.. And when I paid was told about the 3% credit card charge. Would of been nice to know about that before so I could of had my checkbook with me to pay. Thanks for your time.

Very disappointing experience. On December 4th 2020 I went to look at a car that was for sale at this dealer. . I called first to let them know I was coming and that I had a 3 hour drive but was very interested in a Chevy Impala Premier. I had settled on the purchase price and trade in of my car with them. Upon arriving I was informed the car hadn’t been cleaned up but I could take it for a drive. Not being cleaned up was an understatement! The back seat was covered in mud and the front seat was dirty. . I asked the sales person what happened to this car. He said they had dogs. It was the filthiest car I believe I’ve ever seen. How can a dealer expect to sell a car that you wouldn’t even think of sitting in? Needless to say I didn’t take it for a drive and they lost out on my sale. A very long wasted trip.Robert Logan
Brought my truck in for warranty work 3 days after I dropped it off I called the dealership. Truck was just sitting in the parking lot service department told me they wanted me to pay 2500.00 for warranty work. This place is full of scams and poor customer service. Took it to Broadway and had it fixed for free night and day difference. Save yourself a headache and go some where else.

Sometimes I’m charged for supplies, other times I’m not (for the same services!) Hard to trust if the charge is legitimate! Over charged for labor in comparison to SEVEN other invoices of same service. Also new surcharge was never communicated until I saw receipt. Highly disappointing.

No stars Brought my wifes car in for a aliment and 2 tire mounting planning on getting a new suv next year so car just needs to last few more months. The aliment and tire mounting was fair price but they called me asked about bushing and tirod replacement and said that it only be a few more buck bushing 2.50 a piece and rod 3.75. Which I agreed to put in for the price they gave me I was told a bill around 170 to 200 I got a call from the wife my bill was 835.00 for parts I can do myself. Would not advise going here. Why would I autherize a 835$ repair total on a car thats worth 800...Update I have contacted the manager and also the one that call about the repair and it is a he said she said ordeal so Im on the losing end of the he said she said. Review standsI will also be reporting to the bbb on this matterI didnt think it was legal to put more work hours on then it was worked on.We have 2 hours that the parts were worked on and was charged for 6
Went for an oil change waited over an hour while they walked around like turtles laughing and the lube manager has terrible customer service and told us to go elsewhere. Avoid the express lube!
Beware of the service department.12/6/17 - new truck makes snapping sounds and Im being told its normal,service department is a joke never again will I buy from them or recommend anyone to them.Update 3/22Truck still randomly vibrates at 70-80, v4 mode at 40ish MPH vibrates can feel in pedal, I told them this twice now and it has yet to be addressed.Traded that 2016 in and got a 2017, new truck is better no vibration or issues so far. (300 miles)
The service advisor, ROBERT GAREIS, was very professional and knowledgeable about the problem with my 2016 Impala. He advised what repair was needed and about how long the repair would take. Gandrud Service has always completed any service work in a timely manner and any problem was corrected the first time. I highly recommend this dealership and their service department.
