This is hands down the best shoe store in the State of Wisconsin! They have everything and are well stocked on all sizes! The owner Troy is a very genuine and kind person! This isn’t just a shoe store. It’s an experience.

If I could rate this place higher than 5 stars, I would absolutely do so. They have been phenomenal at helping me find shoes for my messed up feet. I used to be in extreme pain walking every day, and with the dedicated help from the EXCELLENT team here, especially Ryan S., Ive been able to walk freely again. That feeling is priceless- and Im so grateful for the patience, diligence, and thoughtfulness theyve shown me since Ive walked in the door!

This past weekend my wife and I visited The Heel looking for a pair of shoes for her. She is having some back issues, so we really had specific needs in a shoe. Our sales person was Hunter. He was extremely helpful. Super knowledgable, patient and polite. His sense of humor also made our visit a great experience. The store also has an excellent selection of shoes and boots. We will return soon.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure shopping at The Heel. I worked with Sossina and was impressed with her extensive knowledge of the foot. Whenever I had a question, she answered it clearly. Sossina listened intently to my foot concerns, examined my feet and helped me choose the best orthotics for a variety of my shoes from running to dress shoes. Yesterday I had the pleasure of shopping in person again at: The Heel. I have been coming to The Heel for quite a few years since my Podiatrist referred me initially. I felt it was time to get evaluated again for size and made an appointment to work with Ryan once again. Ryan worked with me to choose a couple pairs of shoes that fit me perfect. (about an hours time). His patience and understanding my needs to find shoes that look and fit well made me happy. You never get this kind of help at any other shoe store. I drive an hour to get there and it is well worth it.

1st time visiting today! My boss always said if I want a shoe store that will find a great shoe for me go to the heel! So even though I was scared about the cost, I went today. Hunter was fabulous! I told him about my shoe issues and he went above and beyond my expectations! I left with 2 pairs of shoes that I am certain will be amazing! He even recommended a gym that he thought I might like. Great spot for fitting advice & finding the right pair.Staff is knowledgeable in the craft, offering advice and sizing to keep your feet comfy. Plenty of staff around willing to lend a hand also.I will for sure purchase here again the next time I need a pair of Birks.The upstairs has a small selection of outdoor clothing and a few accessory’s.

This place was awesome! I never knew there could be so many CUTE shoes that would actually HELP my feet..knees..hips..back...etc!!! This place is awesome! EXCELLENT customer service! Katie was our first assistant to find shoes and was very helpful but when she realized the difficulty of my husbands ability to find correct shoes all of his life, she called over Sosina the Pedorthist, who was extremely thorough in her assessment of feet and gait and finding shoes to help my husband with his constant foot pain. He had already seen a podiatrist who did not even do as thorough of an assessment as Sosina did, so shopping here first would have prevented us from wasting the money at the podiatrist. We purchased two pair of shoes(2 different brands) and two sets of inserts. One pair did end up causing discomfort to his feet so we took that pair back and the guy who helped us that time(didnt catch his name) was very helpful in finding a second shoe with a different style in the brand that was working well to replace that one pair of the other brand which had not worked. There was no difficulty in making the return and exchange for the different pair and they have since turned out to be his favorite shoes in his whole life and is experiencing almost no foot pain now. Definitely recommend this place if you have a hard time finding the right shoes. Expensive, but priced appropriately for high quality best brands of shoes on the market so it is worth the investment. Also...forgot to mention that as we were leaving the store, my husband said to me, This was the best and actually enjoyable shoe shopping experience I have ever had in my life. And he hates shopping for shoes because he can never find the right ones and always has to try on so many. Here, they were able to quickly narrow down to just a few for him to try vs the 50 pair we usually have to go through when shoe shopping.

Today I went into The Heel for a return and ran into the kindest employee. His name is Henry and he made the end of my busy busy day an enjoyable one!! One where I walked out with a big smile and a lifter heart!! Great conversation and helpful information regarding a new brand (to me) of shoes. He is what retail service should be like. I had an amazing experience at the heel. I have a hard to fit shoe size. I worked with Ryan. He went above and beyond to find me a pair of shoes that fit and looked nice. Visited The Heel for the second time today and it did not disappoint. Hunter, worked tirelessly to ensure I had not only a proper fit for my difficult to fit foot, but also a good looking sandal for my adventure to the AZ dessert. Took an hour drive well worth it! Store was extremely busy for a Saturday was expecting at least 30 minute wait. Lauren put our name down and less than 5 minutes Matt had me all set! Pair of shoes and inserts made it feel like you were walking on air! Definitely recommend.

Good selection. Friendly, fast service. Only place I found this shoe online in my size. Needed it ASAP. Spoke with someone in the e-commerce area who recommended it was worth a try to ship it to me in Northern Illinois, even though they dont have expedited shipping. The shoes arrived the next day! Unfortunately, the shoe didnt fit, but the return process was simple.

We have been going to The Heel since we moved to the area 2 yrs ago, and we have had wonderful experiences each time. The staff is knowledgable and professional. My husband and I have some specific needs for health and fitness, and the staff (this time it was Sossina... she was AMAZING) took great care to ask us questions, try different things, listen, and provide the VERY BEST service we have ever had when shopping for shoes (walking/running/hiking/casual/and dress shoes). They know it all! We will never shop for shoes anywhere else!

My wife was looking for a good structural shoe that helped her ease the pain on her knee and back. Hunter Towslee spoke with both of us and listened very carefully to what we said. He then went to work and brought out about 12 pairs of shoes for my wife to try on. He was excellent at describing the benefit each shoe had over the other as well as what that shoe lacked over other ones. He was very patient and my wife was able to wear the shoes she picked out of the store. A great experience!

This was the first time I have ever been to The Heel and I had a very pleasant experience there. I needed some shoes to treat some arch pain for plantar fasciitis. The staff is very friendly and I got the impression that everyone there is passionate about taking care of people. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I was very impressed with the vast selection of shoes and more impressed with Hailey. She took the time to make my visit fruitful with measurements of my feet and picking the type of shoes I wanted to purchase. Yes, their prices are not low but, there is sales and I know your feet is not where you want to go cheap because, how your feet feel affects you and your body.

A friend and I had been to probably 7 stores to find chacos. We ended up in Green Bay and went to The Heel, leaving with great success! Not only were we both able to leave with chacos that we are thrilled with but we also encountered nothing but happy, helpful, caring & smiling staff. I’d drive 10+ hours over and over again just to shop at the Heel but guess what, I don’t have to, they have a website. So glad to have found this store!

I am so glad that The Heel was recommended to me when I needed to get new shoes as I embark on a career change. Not only do they have a great selection of comfortable shoes (along with socks, inserts, accessories, etc.), their staff is fabulous and knowledgeable. Nina helped me pick out some shoes that will last me a while, but I’ll be back!

Customer service was friendly, efficient, and extremely helpful. They did a price match for me and saved the shoes behind the counter for me to pick up. This business is very customer-oriented and goes out of their way to keep you happy and does whatever they can to make ends meet. I called the store from out of state to see if the Heel Shoe Fitters carried a very hard-to-find shoe. They had it in stock, grabbed it off the shelves for me, and had it in the mail by that same day. GREAT customer service, extremely efficient, competent and knowledgeable employees! Recently I found out I had plantar fasciitis and was in need of comfortable, supportive, sandals. I had been told by several friends that The Heel had a wide selection of sandals, and also knowledgeable sales people to assist. I was very pleased with my visit and ended up purchasing two pair of sandals and a pair of shoes. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for great footwear. 😀

One of the best shoe stores for kids Ive been to. My son has arch issues and they have specialists on staff to help get him in the right shoe and support. Sorry for the delayed review - took us a while to figure out how to do this. My husband was the first of the two of us to shop in your store. He had developed some plantar fasciitis and was looking for better shoes. He always found shoe shopping bothersome because he just wanted shoes and was generally disappointed with the result. He was astounded at your store, when your clerk, Hunter, took all the time in the world to explain how he would approach the problem and then brought out numerous shoes to try. He ended up buy two pair, instead of the one that he intended to purchase when he got there and hasnt had the slightest foot issues since. In addition, he was so impressed with the service, knowledge of the staff (Hunter) and abundance of choices, that he got me a gift certificate for your store. We went shortly after the holiday together and were, once again, able to elicit Hunters assistance. My experience was every bit as phenomenal as Dons - best shoe shopping experience I have ever had. I (we) are extremely impressed with your talented staff and look forward to coming back. They are worth whatever you pay them.

Great customer service. It was refreshing to have someone knowledgeable about the products and able to truly fit the right shoe to my foot without trying on a ton of shoes. Hunter Towslee was a Godsend!!! The visit was all about getting my feet into the correct position. Never once did he make me feel like my needs were not important. By the time we left it was 15 minutes after closing time. I had no idea it was so late! Not once did he or any other employees make me feel rushed. Id heard people talk about The Heel but Id never been there. Its bigger than I expected, with a wide range of better shoe brands (Taos, Ecco, Earth, Vionic, Naot, Keene, etc.), particularly those known for comfort and fit. Many have an interesting European look.Prices are generally $100 and up, but dont despair, theres an outlet store attached and prices are roughly 50% lower. If youre willing to do some rummaging, you might find a fabulous deal!The Heel is attractive and nicely merchandised, and the staff is extremely helpful. They call themselves a shoe fitter for a reason!

Bought these bad a$$ Hubbard’s from Troy about 4 months ago for business travel and every day use. They have held up like a champ and look amazing. I get compliments weekly on them. Shout out to Adrian for providing the best shoe buying customer experience in town!

My wife and I went to the heel for the first time and a employee named Angela was who helped us. Angela was very friendly and helpful and we left with two pair of shoes for us both. The my shoes are awesome and I like how they slide on with no problem. When and if you go to the Green Bay location please ask for Angela she will go out of her way to help you fine the right shoe. The Heel is a good place to fine what you need and the fit you need and as I said mine fit great feel great and lighter than my tennis shoes I was wearing. I am on my feet pretty much all day with my job and recently developed plantar fasciatis. My feet also overpronate, or roll to the inside and my arch is flattening out. I went here to see what they could do for me and I am so happy I did! I spent an hour with Angela A. who helped me get into some orthotics, a great pair of supportive tennis shoes for work and some house shoes. My feet have never felt better! I can tell my arch is getting the support it needs. I went back the next day with my 12 year old daughter and Angela helped us pick out a supportive pair of tennis shoes for her also. My daughter wanted to wear the new shoes home, because they felt so much better then what she was wearing.Wearing shoes that support your feet correctly is so important! I would definitely recommend The Heel and Angela A. for your feet needs!

I stopped in The Heel retail store today for winter light use boots. I was welcomed near the door and asked how could I be helped today. Good start! I was introduced to Haley who was going to show me the mens boots. She was very pleasant and welcoming. We looked at some boots and I asked a couple questions that she was not sure of the answers. Rather then wing it or fall back to some marketing mumbo jumbo, she said she was not sure but would get someone who could answer the question. WOW someone who cares about costumers. Matt came by and helped with the tech question and Haley continued with the boot fitting and finial purchase. The Heel is not a discount shoe store but the quality of service and products goes a long long way in my book to real value. I will shop there again. Thank You Haley and Matt for your hard work.

Amazing customer service and selection. I love the fact that they have different people that specialize in each department. So much knowledge. I went there for work boots and I specifically wanted Thorogood. My salesman was so good that I decided to leave a tip! These employees dont work on commission, so its absolutely worth paying a little more to support a great local business that knows the right way to treat people.

My mom had never been fitted for a good supportive shoe before, so it took 5-6 try ons, before we got the right fit. Nina was so patient with us and extremely helpful.

My feet HURT. Lauren asked me to walk with just socks on. She asked where my feet hurt. I never heard of rocker soles and inserts that release pressure on calluses. I was so happy to walk in the store and the next day be on my feet serving customers and NO pain.I want here years ago with my pedadontist referral, for plantar fashitis (sp). I can’t say enough about my experience yesterday at the heel. I am dealing with some modifications post hip replacement surgery and Zach the cobbler and Angela a certified pedorthist spent 2 hours with me to make sure that I am on the road to a comfortable recovery. Zach literally came out numerous times to custom fit insoles for shoes that I was purchasing. I feel amazing and couldn’t be more thankful for the true customer service that I have received! My Husband and I went to The Heel to get a Birkenstock insert per his Doctors suggestion. We worked with Angela who really knew her stuff and had a great sense of humor!! We left with 1 insert and 2 pair of shoes each!When I tried on the tennis shoes I was shown with and without the insert, I could see the difference. We both have noticed the improvements in our comfort!Had to go back and make an exchange for a second insert I had bought later. I worked with Matt. He was very helpful and I left a happy customer. I ordered from there store by phone, and had my boots shipped to me. After wearing them, I found that they were too small (I ordered my normal size). They could not offer me a refund, as I had worn them, but sent me a larger size in exchange with no problem or extra charge. Great

She not only helped find a good fitting shoe for me, but also suggested orthodics and other footwear they own that actually targets the required areas for my foot. The feel of them was amazing and I could feel the difference in my posture and technique right away. Amazing help and amazing customer service!

Today while visiting Green Bay my son and I visited The Heel and were greeted by Megan Sexton. By far the most knowledgeable, observant and sweet shoe associate we have ever met! My son needs a wider width and finding shoes that don’t look like “grandpas shoes” can be tough. Megan spent over an hour with him and brought out shoes she thought he would like and she was spot on. We walked out with 3 pair and some new socks as happy as could be. Thank you Megan for your patience and knowledge, you made the shoe shopping day FINALLY enjoyable!!!!

What an amazing place and a fantastic experience! My husband and I were looking for hiking shoes for a trip out West.
