What a cool concept! Was looking for a place to work remotely for the day on the way back from Chicago and so happy I found this place. Was packed for a weekday morning and stays open later than most coffee shops. Saw people coming in to a variety of board/card games or just coming to chat. Eclectic selection of drinks - including health elixir lattes and a killer ginger beer. I am not much a pastry person, but the spinach pie baked good I got was out if this world. Wifi was fast and plenty of room to spread out to get a quieter corner. Employees were very friendly too and didn’t mind me camping out for the day.

The people are super friendly. The environment is clean. There are tons of game options to purchase for yourself or as gifts. And, the coffee and food options are second to none.If you have never been here, I advise going through the all-inclusive menu on line. Their menu board does not have all of the options lists. If you forget, the staff are super patient and will answer your questions.Theres no need to eat before getting your coffee. The food options are well thought out and seem to be made with care.All-in-all, I have wasted too much money at the big chain, and Hitherto is the best option, in my opinion.

I absolutely love this place. Its a great place to get a coffee or hot chocolate and sit for awhile. I drive a lot for work and it is perfect for getting my paperwork done, but also ideal for a family or friend outing. Tons of demo games to choose from!

We are fortunate to have this gem in Greenfield. The best espresso in town (in the county, maybe central Indiana), pastries baked fresh on site, staff who greet you with a smile, and a chill space to play games and just relax. Great option for game night with the kids.

Very nice relaxing place for some laptop time at lunch time. Great London Fog and sweet Mocha tea. Friendly employees and very clean. Lots of games to buy. Love it is coffee house with board or card games. You can bring your own own. A++

I loved this place so much ! Lots of separate seating for those with families or those working from home (needing to escape the kitchen table) .Every game you can imagine is sold here. A game my family used to play 30 plus years ago - I happened to ask if they had it and sure enough they grabbed it from the back!@

Great coffee and pastries. The selection of games is amazing. They have a surprisingly good selection of expansions for games that not all vendors carry, such as Nemesis and Marvel Crisis Protocol.

Hitherto is EASILY one of my favorite coffee shops. The atmosphere is always great, they have great staff & you can genuinely tell they all enjoy what they do. Kevin is very knowledgeable about all the games & coffee in store.They also have superb tea (cinnamon plum is my go-to)Always a great experience, I come here as often as I can.

My absolute favorite coffee shop.Family atmosphere with games and merch to purchase.Large tables for family game night and sample games to test out.I prefer the Owl Bear or Flatlander coffee, but the tea selection is great as well.

Decent selection for games to demo. As a mother of 2, love the family friendly atmosphere and the selection of children games they have. Coffee was delicious and the overall aesthetic is amazing.

Goodness, I love this place. Every single thing Ive had --both beverages and food-- has been delicious. Their service is speedy, yet somehow they still take their time to make sure sure each cup they serve is perfect. All the employees are cheerful and helpful, and make an effort to get to know you. Ive also purchased several board games per their recommendations and our family loves them all. Hitherto is a real treasure!

This was my first time visiting and I loved it! There were so many gaming options for me to consider, even for my little kids.We did a bev/food purchase as we caught up with each other. Absolutely delicious.

Warm yet fresh atmosphere. Delightful pastries and excellent coffee. And who can resist supporting a local small business? :)The decor is minimal, which helps the cafe feel uncluttered despite the explosion of board games that take up about a third of the space. The baristas were super friendly and my drink was ready very quick! The cold brew and the lemon berry cake are particularly good. I will definitely be coming here again!

This is an awesome coffee/tea shop. They have almost every kind of boardgame you could want or dream of. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. This is definitely the kind of place that Id love to hang out play a boardgame and drink some coffee with friends and family.

Imo Hitherto is Cheaper an better tasting then the Big Name chains. Only 2 down falls, no drive thru(they do offer curbside) and smaller cups.

I have been to Hitherto a couple times and both times the staff were SO nice and friendly! Their mocha and cappuccino are absolutely delicious! I will definitely be returning for more drinks, to try some more of their delicious pastries and check out their games to add to my familys collection.

This place is a new favorite! The coffee is absolutely delicious, best I’ve had near Indianapolis! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about board games. We tried a new game while we were there and liked it so much we bought it! We also had an apple danish and it was the best danish I’ve ever had! Come for a quick drink or stay for the afternoon, either way the place is great!

Cute coffee shop- The coffee is fantastic, yes it takes a moment to get out but that’s quality. The shop is filled with interesting and unusual games you should check out while you wait. The pastries are great (the best place in town for a croissant), and their staff is always friendly.

Nice atmosphere. Small, yet decent game library. Decent games for sale. Can bring your own games. Coffee isnt to my taste, but thats probably a personal preference. Nice, cheap (family friendly) place to spend an early evening. Will definitely come back!

Great place to come sit down for some great coffee. They have coffees and teas you would not expect, and it is extremely refreshing. They have a ton of seating and room to play board games as well! Highly recommend! Drove about an hour and was not disappointed.

Oh my goodness this place is amazing! I plan on coming here very often. There are tons of games free for customers to play. I dont really like coffee but my family said the coffee was great. I got a wonderful cup of tea and it was really good. Also I tried their chocolate cake and it was amazing! They also have a huge selection of tabletop games for sale. I would definitely recommend this place for all ages. Its fun and a great place to relax.

My husband and I went in with our Wingspan game, got a White Chocolate Mocha Frappe and a Strawberry Smoothie, both of which were absolutely delicious. Employees were friendly and welcoming. The owner stopped by a talked with us for a bit. Great place to go hang out and play games!

Very good!! I’ve had a flavored cold brew coffee that was delicious, I recently ordered a blended Carmel frappe it was so good!! I’ve also tried the short rib hand pie, ... so so so good!!- the ham and cheese hand pie, sausage and gravy hand pie and the strawberry rhubarb pastry they were all so delicious! I’ve really appreciated their curbside service 💙☕️

The cortado (Gibraltar, by their terminology) was delicious! The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. The owner, Kevin, is wonderful! What a great concept for a coffee shop. Their interior design and graphic design are fantastic, and I left with a knit beanie and T-shirt (and three award-winning games for family night). Love this place!!

This is a great place to stop for coffee. You dont have to be into board games to enjoy HItherto. The decor is very relaxing and intimate. The menu is large, and the drinks are delicious. I highly recommend Hitherto.

Great atmosphere, decent coffee.

Third time Ive been in. Their chai tea for two visits tasted just like warm milk with no flavor. The croissant was buttery and flaky. The strawberry rhubarb galette was delicious and flaky. The iced tea was alright. Out of the three visits only one cashier/barista was friendly and smiled. Good assortment of games and merchandise.
