The peidmont pumpkin latte was very delicious but when I asked to use my Joe Coffee app for my coupon the app said the store was closed online at the time and they couldnt change it for me even though they were open.

Very friendly local community coffee that has a great cause. Coffee here is fantastic, also try their chai tea latte which is super awesome. And if you like cheese danishes they are really delicious, I saw a couple of reviews who said the danishes weren’t good and lord have mercy those people have issues or just don’t know what tastes good. 5 stars for this establishment. I wish we had more companies like this in our communities. Me and my family will definitely be coming back to this place for coffee and pastries. Keep up the good work!!!

Absolutely love this place! Not only is the coffee delicious, but the staff is incredible. Nick had me laughing as he welcomed me into the shop telling me that he loved my plaid flannel as well as gave me advice on what coffee beans to get for my home espresso. Jenn was just as sweet as she could be - very professional as well. This will be my husband and my go to coffee spot for my hazelnut latte and his dirty chai. Kudos to the staff and kudos to the owners! 😊

Horrible. I asked for cream and liquid sugar and vanilla and they only put the vanilla. And the size was so small for the price. I could get a vinte at Starbucks for the same price with better quality, quantity and service.

This place is so incredible! They hire crew members with different abilities to work as the welcoming staff and as the baristas! Its a very welcoming and loving atmosphere. Chris opened the door for me as I arrived and greeted me with a smile. I ordered a Hazelnut Iced Coffee and it was so tasty. The staff members are so friendly. Its a brand new establishment off Market St. in Greensboro and is SO beautiful inside. They have a selection of coffees, frappes, smoothies, and teas and many bakery items. They offer free WiFi and several seating areas. The grand opening is Nov. 3 so please make it a point to stop by and make it your new coffee establishment! You wont be disappointed. Support local business and this awesome team who are working to make the workplace accessible to EVERYONE!!!

This is my favorite coffee shop for so many reasons. When I first moved to GBO I came because it was convenient. I didnt know how unique it was or how it supported the intellectually/developmentally disabled community. From the moment I walked in it was a special environment. Welcoming, extremely clean, many seating options inside and out. Great coffee options and the bakery items are worth the trip alone. Im a regular now and always look forward to getting to spend time and a little money there. Fantastic place.

I dont know where Ive been hiding all this time! I have been missing out for almost a year since they opened the doors November 2018. A Special Blend really takes the cake when it comes to community and great coffee. I stumbled upon this awesome cafe when I was visiting Mythos Grill recently. I saw the front which is right beside One Main Financial and asked me friends if this was a coffee shop... they didnt know but let me be one to tell you ITS SO MUCH MORE!A Special Blend provides employment opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Ive worked with special needs adults and children so coming to an establishment which provides those individuals an opportunity to thrive and be a part of the community really holds a special place in my heart. They are a 501(c)3 Non-Profit so that means they rely on donations to help with their expenses. The whole place is comfy, welcoming and they even have a meeting area you can rent!Everyone here is so nice! You really dont get to experience something like this everyday (well I guess you can if you become a regular) so if you havent gotten a chance to stop by I highly recommend it. You wont be sorry! They have some of the sweetest folks working here and its such a great feeling to know that something good is going on here.I was doing some research and did you know that over 80% of people with developmental disabilities are unemployed? Places like A Special Blend hopes to change that by giving those people a chance to thrive.Food wise I ordered a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Bagel Sandwich. It really tasted wonderful. Drink wise I ordered a caramel frappe it was wonderful. If youve never gotten a chance to stop by I hope you will. Its a totally different environment than anything Ive ever experienced before and I simply love it. I plan on frequenting this place as much as possible in the near future.

The staff is very kind and I received my order quickly despite how busy it was. The croissants are delicious! I tried the turkey cheddar. I wanted to try their nitro, but it was not available when I visited. I will visit again soon.

Coffee was a little under sweetened, nothing you cant fix yourself (just a warning if you like it sweet) bagel was to die for, and the staff was such a sweet group of people. If youre a first time patron the staff is made up of some disabled/handicapped? Whichever the proper word is, folks and theyre the sweetest. I have a sister with autism back home and seeing a place like this giving folks a fair chance when a lot of places dont really touched my heart. When this whole pandemic is over I definitely will be going back.

Very friendly service! It’s been quite a while since I’ve been greeted at the door. The coffee wasn’t phenomenal but the staff and setting more than make up for it. Nice cozy room in the back with outlets if you need to study.

Not only is it the most welcoming atmosphere to visit, it is also my favorite place to study. Comfy & spacious seating, fast wifi, plenty of outlets, big windows, and delicious drinks. Ask about the secret menu item: Iced Blackbery Bliss latte. MMmm

I feel that most of these reviews are for the principle behind this place, which is fantastic and if you want to support that, definitely go. If you are going for coffee alone, its not good coffee. We order a nitro with a splash of cream and a iced latte with one flavor. Not a complex order and yet we had to explain how to make both and honestly the nitro coffee itself was stale with a burnt ground flavor. VERY harsh. The Latte did not even include a full single espresso and we gave up trying to explain how to make it to the 3 workers there. I love coffee and for me, Im not going to visit this place for coffee. If I do, it is to support the mission of this place.

I love the heart behind this coffee shop. The staff is friendly and the music is good (covers of pop songs). There is plenty of seating and it is a nice place to meet up with someone to grab coffee or go alone to read a book or catch up on some work on your laptop.

This place is lovely. Staff are very friendly and kind. A bit of a longer wait than a big coffee chain, but definitely worth it. You can feel the love and effort put into all the drinks. Great place for small business owners to have meetings & networking events

Im really disappointed, I truly selected this place in an effort to support the employees. However, the food was unpalatable. Why offer food that is so under par? Whomever is managing operations needs to address this. Is it because of the nature of your premise that b its somehow OK to not care about the quality of the food? The croissant wasnt cooked, the center dough was just that, uncooked dough. The cream puff was also undercooked, andchas only a dot of filling. The taste of the coffee is more like what one would expect at a gas station. I basically am justifying the $18 experience as a pure donation. Im leaving disappointed and not to mention, hungry.Wish I had time to go elsewhere to grab something, but need to get to a meetingI love the concept of your establishment. Leading and Teaching your employees about quality products is so important.I sincerely hope yall will fix this.

Being a speech student, our teacher encouraged us to stop by to A Special Blend and take a couple minutes to enjoy the community there. Walking in, I was greeted with a smile of shy faces and I felt included immediately. The store was full of people, all very patient and understanding. This idea Im sure started off as a dream, and now its an outstanding reality! Im proud of the Greensboro community for pushing this idea that everyone is human and everyone is capable of anything they put their mind to. Just make sure youre not in a rush!

Looking forward to visiting this coffee shop. I live 5 minutes away and it seems to be a blessing to find. Will write a review after my visit 8/5/2020.

This is my new happy place in Greensboro. Great coffee and pastries. As summer approaches, I am exploring their amazing flavored iced teas and other cold beverages. A Special Blend refreshes the menu with new pastries selections and beverages to try. The staff provides great service and always makes my day brighter.

A Special Blend has both of those and more. I’m so glad I found this spot. I’m in grad school and it’s becoming my favorite place to study and work in Greensboro.

A Special Blend is a delicious locally owned and operated coffee house. They offer coffee and espresso drinks along with pastries and other treats. There are plenty of seats available with tables just big enough for your order and a laptop. Their meeting room can be reserved for larger projects. There is great lighting throughout the very clean shop as well.

A Special Blend is a special place indeed! The atmosphere is so welcoming and friendly, I wanted to spend my whole day there. It is the perfect place to either decompress or energize. I’m a fan, I think you will be too.

The coffee here is great. They just opened so the staff is still learning so it can take a bit of time to get your drink. Everyone is very friendly and willing to answer questions. Its clean and well lit with a friendly greeting when you walk in. Instead of giving you a number they give you a positive word on a slip of paper so when your order is ready they say super or fantastic customer.

Hands down the Best Coffee with the best service anywhere. Greeted with a smile, thanked for the business, very clean and well kept (unlike most large coffee chains), and its local. Great way to start or end the day. Thank you for what you do.
