Face front, true believers!- Stan LeeWhere to begin with this review! From the moment that you walk into Parts Unknown, there is a sense of community and history within the establishment. I was immediately greeted as if I was someone who had been shopping there for years. The guys at the shop were fantastic in their service and recommendations. There is a classic comic book shop atmosphere to the place with many selections of back issues and including new issues as well. These guys know their stuff about the characters and comics in general. I highly recommend stopping by to shop and speak to the gentlemen at this shop. It is a place you certainly do not want to miss. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Parts Unknown and will be back!

Parts Unknown was amazing, the pictures online do not do it ANY justice so please dont judge by that and think they dont have much. I would venture to say they have more selection (overall) than any of the other choices you would have.Im sort of new to NC and made my rounds to the Comic stores today to know what is available to me here. I just visited Parts Unknown for the first time today, and I felt at home in true comic store. ZERO fluff, all business for us hardcore (and new) comic fanatics.The staff is amazing and super cool. EXTREMELY knowledgeable and helpful, and in general good people. They have all new stuff, and about the best selection Ive seen in back issues in years. If you dont see it, just ask. Theyll even get you hooked up with a subscription to your favorite titles.Now to be fair, this isnt youre kids comic store with games, cards etc...and thats a good thing for us die hard readers. Plus, talking to the folks working just is awesome, almost like a barbershop type of conversation environment, but for us comic folks. DEFINITELY will be going back on a frequent basis.

Great comic shop and only comics. No games (literally or figuratively), no toys, and if the book is on the new shelf, you pay cover price. Not like summer others that will charge current market price, even if you have a subscription. Did I say no games? Lots of market-priced *back* issues, as would be expected. Stop by with your list, you wont be disappointed.

Its a great store with a TON to offer. They have comics, books about making comics, merch, and almost anything comic related!

Place is very small and crowed with lots of stuff. Also his silverage books are over priced for the condition. I will keep going to Acme.

Im from Louisiana and I went here once about 5 years ago and it was amazing. The owners (?) were very knowledgeable and extremely friendly as well as great to talk to. Went back yesterday, and guess what? Same response from the last time. Its amazing how much the owner and staff have a HUGE impact on your experience. They werent expensive at all and the store had this HUGE nostalgic feeling about it. I plan on going back again around Christmas time and hopefully not have to wait 5 years again to go back. BEST STORE IN GREENSBORO hands down!

I was a student at UNCG from 2001-2005 and John was very generous to me as a student of extremely limited means. Was in town today and dropped by, picked up a few books, and without asking, John again gave me a nice discount. He’s very good to his customers.

This place should be the only place you buy comics in Greensboro. Far priced and huge selection. Trust me! The other comic stores are only after your money. Here they are about the comic and only the comic. Awesome place and Awesome staff.

You guys are awesome! One of the biggest things I appreciate is great customer service. My wife (who is a growing nerd lol) gains so much comic knowledge when she comes in, and my 7 year old daughter eyes light up when I bring her in. She loves you all 😊 and for that, you have my business for life! Thank you so much for being a great asset for the GSO community, and never change!!!

Loved it, guy behind the counter has amazing stories. I go in about once a year and really enjoy my time. A+ clerk also has amazing sketches.

A great classic store thats all about COMIC BOOKS- easy to get to in the heart of UNCG. Great deals, 1$ boxes with decent read comics and a nice selection of fairly rare or hard to find locally at least books, its always nice to see something & hold it for inspection or just to help pull the trigger on purchasing something you really are excited to find. Friendly owner /staff . Overall very cool spot in the college area..

Went there looking for something, they didnt have it. Asked about something else, told me it was in the B section. I was still looking at something in the T section . He assumed I didnt know my alphabet and started making fun of me, w/o realizing I was looking at something else while asking about something else. Very unprofessional and rude, sorry I made the trip

This place is the best. John runs an amazing store. I do all my business there. John lives comics. He has a great selection, and has wonderful stories about the comic world.

Solid. Best to know what youre looking for, even if the staff is very knowledgeable. If you dont plan it out, it might not be there, since this isnt a gigantic warehouse. But yeah, place an order, pick up the new volume, or take a recommendation. You wont regret it.

The 1 cent comic sales are great and every once in a while he has T-shirts for 50 cents, but you have to wash them first.

This store is a small space, but has a broad selection of back issues and new issues. Even carried some alternative titles and non-main stream titles. Great bargain boxes. We visited several comic shops that day as part of a road trip and they were the only store running sales.The only down side to our visit was the clerk. Did not say anything to us until we went up to pay. That exchange was polite but basic small talk. He did not offer to help us find anything or interact unless necessary.

Store has that great comic book smell. The prices are okay. Owner is a bit of a smart aleck, but at least he is not some millennial clerk.

John Hitchcock is the most knowledgeable man in the business. He goes out of his way to help everyone. Very clean, an institution!

I go here every week. This store is the best and John makes it even better. You wont find any kind of store better than this one.

This is an old school comic shop with an older guy that runs it and some flunkies here and there. There are too many back issues, but what else are you going to put on the floor space, goofy anime toys? It is a comic shop!Just to respond to the review about the old guy just pointing to where things are -- I like guys who point where things are. I do not want an old guy to get up and become some Carol Merrill from the Monty Hall Lets Make a Deal days and show me some comic with a flowing wave of his hand. The shop is as big as a wrestling ring so it is not much trouble to figure out. It is not Home Depot.John found me a few comics that I was looking for that would have been cost prohibitive from ebay or skeedaddy. It is pretty cool to go to a shop with the I know a guy, who knows a guy philosophy to get you comics.

A friendly owner, plenty of new books and some nice key books. Backissue selection is hit or miss, as are prices.

The owner is a fountain of information about comics. ..creators....and pop culture! Huge collection of back issues to look through..be prepared to spend some time here.....youll be glad you did!

Not only did they have what I was looking for they were able to point me in the right direction for dinner. As a traveler just passing through it was nice to have food recommendations and a comic or two to pass the time.

If you like friendly owners who are not smart-asses this is not the place for you, JK. John gets in all kinds of oddball stuff, making it the best place for weird shite.

A nice little spot, with a great selection of back issues, but the guy working that day kinda talked down to me and acted like I didnt know what I was talking about with a new release I was looking for. Ive been into comics for more than 30 yrs lol.
