While I am grateful that my battery was replaced, ITWorks uses misleading billing practices and left me feeling uneasy. I took my Mac in for a battery replacement and payed for the initial rush fees and diagnostic ($135), I received a text the next day that my Mac was ready for pickup and I had a $0 balance. Upon picking up my Mac I was charged an additional $192. I understand that the battery itself is a charge, but I find it extremely dishonest and misleading to write that theres a $0 balance and then charge almost $200 dollars more. If you are going to charge more, please do not mislead customers and say theres a $0 balance.

I was charged twice for the same laptop repair (Over $300). I was given multiple different days by which my money would be returned in email correspondence (its been weeks now) and it has yet to be given back. Dont go here unless you want your money stolen.

I took my macbook to have the screen replaced to I. T. Worx after going to a few other places, all of which told me that it would be at least three weeks before I would have my laptop back in working order. When I went to I. T. Worx, the worker communicated with me everything that I needed to know, charged me two hundred dollars less than other stores due to a warranty that other servicers ignored and got my laptop back to me in great condition in just a week. 10/10

I dropped off my laptop for a diagnostic for accidental liquid damage. During the consult, the staff didnt really do a great job of answering my questions and it quite frankly felt like they didnt care. They sent me a quote for the repair and I asked if a technician could walk me through what exact damage was found during the diagnostic. They never called me back and when I reached out, I got a mediocre response. I still do not know exactly what they found during the diagnostic. When I declined the repair and asked them to put my computer back together they said they would call me when it was ready for pickup. They never called back, and I had to reach out to find out the status of my computer. As they charge a non-refundable $50 + tax diagnostic fee, you would think youd get responsive, professional, and quality service. This is the first time Ive gone 3rd party for my Macbook Pro and will probably be the last. Dont waste your time and just go to the Apple Store for full service.When I spoke with the director about this, he was very receptive to the feedback. However, be aware that this business is not firing on all cylinders as of now.

Brought my laptop there to for a diagnosis because it would not start and the Apple store recommended them on their website since at the Apple stores were closed at the time.Drove 3 hours for an appointment time to get get it diagnosed and was then told it would be 7 days for a diagnostic to be run. Okay, I get it, left it there with my laptop charger (since it was a power issue). Paid $55 for a diagnostic.Finally got a call back and was told “there was and indicator of water damage”. Which blew my mind since this is my work laptop and never has it left my office or been spilt on. Instead of a proper diagnosis, like what exactly was damaged by water, they just told me they could send it to Apple for $500. I declined and was told I could come that Saturday to pick it up. At the time it was around New Years so I asked again on the phone if they would be open Saturday before I drive 3 hours to them, and was assured they would be open. Well I drove 3 hours and they weren’t open - nothing on their website or voicemail indicating they would be closed either.I was able to get my laptop eventually and didn’t realize that they didn’t give me the charger until I got home - which is my fault, but also weird that they didn’t have them bagged together. So I called to see how I can pay to get it shipped and my calls were never returned.At this point i was able to get an appointment with Apple. They apologized for the service and offered a free charger. Turns out there was absolutely no water damage and was a $80 fix including labor costs. I would give IT worx 0 stars if I could.

This was by far the best technology service and assistance I have ever had, and I have had a lot of problems over the years! Their priority was to help me, not just charge me money or get me to buy some of their products! The service guy was so helpful and we troubleshooted for a while, and he never complained or tried to kick me out. I recommend them so much more than any other apple care place I have been to.

I.T. Worx does excellent work. I own Triad PC Repair of Lexington and when we run across a problem with an apple product that we cannot service this is the place we refer people to. As a repair shop we take our referrals VERY seriously. Its hard to find honest competent help that will not take advantage of our customers. I.T. Worx is professional and very capable while being honest and fair. I would not and do not hesitate to recommend their services.

Made an appointment for an iPhone a week in advance for this exact store. We drove over 30min to make our appointment time and no one is in the store. The store is open but no one is inside and they had over three customers waiting outside for their appointment. We waited in the cold for over 30min and no one answers the phone either. This is the worst service and if you need your iphone fixed just make an appointment at the Apple store around the street!

I pulled up this place after I found that my external hard drive was failing and I saw that Best Buy charged a disgusting $250 preliminary fee and $500+ for serious data recovery fixes, and quickly scheduled a data recovery appointment with IT Worx instead. I notice there wasnt any reviews regarding their data recovery attempts, so I decided to write one here:For reference, my hard drive is a Seagate. It was not broken or physically destroyed in any way. It was just aging and repeatedly disconnecting itself from my computer, making data recovery on my own completely impossible. It did not sustain any outward physical damage, just some internal ones that were a result of being dropped or irresponsibly unplugged or something similar.I also purchased a new external hard drive beforehand, and asked IT Worx to move the data onto the new hard drive. They didnt provide me with one of their own, so I dont know if they provide that service and, if they do, how much it would cost.IT Worx are incredibly kind and transparent about the service. I was provided consistent feedback about the steps they were taking to retrieve the data from my hard drive, and they were really responsive to questions.However, it does take time--I waited between two to three weeks before the data on my broken hard drive was recovered and saved to a new hard drive (the latter which I purchased online on my own).In the end, they saved most everything--including hundreds of THOUSANDS of photos--but it seems that a decent amount of old home videos fell through the cracks and were unsalvageable. I cant fault them though. I dont think that its an issue with THEIR attempts but to be honest, the hard drive was failing, and they did the best with what they had. This is something that you should keep in mind when bringing your external hard drive to a data recovery appointment. If my hard drive wasnt completely destroyed, was still able to be connected to a computer (when including intermittent breaks in the connection), and they werent able to recover ALL of the data, then Im not sure what could they could do for external hard drives with more serious damage than mine.But the entire experience was very good. I dont think I would have chosen any other data recovery service, because I dont think there is any service that could beat the value IT Worx provides (relatively low cost, locally based, perfect customer service, recovery of around 80% of data). But I dont know if this would be the place to go if your external hard drive was beyond repair, or had sustained severe internal damage, because I dont know if they would be able to help with that. Otherwise, absolutely go for it. I wanted to give them a 4/5 star ranking, only because I was kinda bummed about the incomplete recovery of data, but the truth is that the hard drive being broken was my fault as well and they did their very best with what they had. Thank you guys so much again.

My MacBook Pro wouldnt load properly, and I tried repairing it myself via Google and YouTube, with no luck. I live in Winston Salem but drove to Greensboro to get it fixed and they were able to fix it the same day! They were up front and honest in that my machine, which is a 2011, was still in great condition and a repair made more sense than a replacement. I trust these guys and hopefully wont have more computer issues but if I do, Im going here!!

This business has my highest review! The assistant manager, Mikes, customer service is phenomenal! Ive spent two weeks trying to make an appointment with Apple Store before being referred to I.T. Worx as an Authorized Retailer. Even though they were busy, Mike did all in his power to squeeze me in for an appointment. Mike and his team corrected my iPhone 7s camera in about an hour, and were so helpful and kind. Its unusual to interact with real people who care in the fast paced world of technology products. I hope you will try them for your computer/phone repairs and purchases- you will not be disappointed!

I am an extremely satisfied customer. My old mac was on life support and infected with many viruses. All pricing was explained up front. A diagnostic test was necessary to determine issues. I was contacted with the problems and solutions. Costs were always presented as well. In less than 24 hours, my computer is better than new. I stayed in the store after the repair to make sure it all worked to my satisfaction.. Tarek was the lead man and Kyle was very patient to help me with my apps.

Worx today and get everything solved! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and I can tell they truly value their customers. Amazing experience and highly recommended. I contacted Apple to inquire why my computer was running severely slow, they recommended this place. I came in, staff was very professional, very educated on the knowledge of equipment and software and attended to my computer as soon as possible.I thought I needed memory and my hard drive was actually failing. When specialist did an analayst, all my data was actually lost.I was so scared and starting panicking but they offered me a way to recover information for a fee. This was my first visit to IT Worx; I usually take my iPhone to the Apple store when I need assistance. After a friend recommended their service so highly, I went to IT Worx for a battery upgrade. (It had taken her more than 4 hours to get her own battery replaced at the Apple store.) I dropped it off at the time wed set up and was asked to come back in an hour. It was ready within minutes of my return and the entire transaction was smooth and easy. The service was friendly and agreeable too!

Awesome place to fix your Apple issues. i had an iphone7 which had lot of personal pictures and videos (didnt have a backup). It was stuck on an apple symbol which the Apple technicians couldnt resolve or get me the data that was on the phone. Tarek was the smart guy who got the phone back to life along with all the data. ITWorx: Mac repair was fast, but never finished. They never tested their work before handing it back to me, so I had to return at least three times to get the front line guy (salesman?) to even turn on the computer before passing it off as being done. Repeatedly. There were error messages when they replaced the motherboard, and I tried to research the problem to help them, but the front line guy never bothered checking company email about the problem. He doesnt use it! He never listened to me as a customer, never remembered what the problem was, never checked the customer information database he had, and blamed the customer for every problem he had instead of taking responsibility. They have left me with a semi-working computer with disabled software that no longer recognizes its valid registration. This shoddy repair has cost me frustration and weeks of loss. Do not purchase or repair anything from this shop until they rebuild their processes, retrain their sales staff and work on quality first. They can start by reading Tom Peters.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would!! After leaving the nearby Apple location knowing my hard drive was no longer functioning, I was quite disappointed. Mikes knowledge and expertise helped me make a decision to replace my hard drive or purchase new MacPro. They were able to retrieve all my info. from my defunct drive and install new one; thus, hopefully being able to give my 8 year old computer a few more years!! They took over a month to “repair “ my iPhone’s screen. There was no communication on the status of my phone’s repair throughout the service process. I had to call to ask for updates. I would be lucky to get someone on the phone after calling numerous times a day with no answer (only for them to tell me they didn’t know what the status was for my phone’s repair). Once I finally got my phone 33 days later, I realized it was painfully slow and the screen was very unresponsive. Turns out they actually replaced my phone with a defective refurbished device. I had to go to the Apple store to find out about this. Other than that, the people who work here are pretty nice.

Amazing!! I had called Apple and letting them know that my MacBook Pro was not starting up correctly. After various steps, they concluded that my laptop was broken and needs to see a genius for further administration. I took it here and two days later they called me back to pick up my laptop. All my pics and files were still there (after I was told that they cant be sure if its going to be there) and they didnt charge me not one penny!!! They were very friendly and made sure I understood every option I had. They explain to me everything very well.I had originally had gone to the Apple Store thats close by first. They were very rude, impatient, & didnt not look like that wanted to help. So I just took my laptop and came here. AMAZINF SERVICE!!!

Reasonably priced service and upgrade for my out of date legacy MacBook. They can service and install newer bigger hard drive when Apple no longer services the model. Do not go to this company for ANY PC work! I had a simple request to install Outlook office and sync the calendar with and iPhone and iPad. I paid $75 for a rush service, for a total of $400. 9 days later I am still continuing to carry everything back in to the shop because it is not working. Then they try to somehow make it my fault and say I didnt make it clear I wanted them to all sync, so I would need to pay more for them to make it work. Are you kidding me?!! Microsoft told me Outlook had not even been set up properly. So, when I got in touch with the technical services I normally use now, the only thing hard for him was undoing the wrong way Outlook had been set up, and then he very quickly set up the PC, iPhone, and iPad to sync perfectly!! Not only is the work not done properly at I.T. Worx, but the customer service is terrible!!

I walked into the store and Tarek the store manager was terrific. He asked a few questions and assessed my problem. Within 15 minutes Tarek fixed my track ball problem. More importantly, Tarek also identified a few malware issues and viruses. Tarek removed unneeded software and eliminated the viruses. My MacBook Air is working great. Thank you Tarek!

I just had the most positive experience at I. T. Worxs. Had an old MacBook Pro10 that was barely making a go of it. I wanted a MacBook Aire. They helped me choose the correct machine and uploaded all of my materials and kept me informed to the progress. I am not a satisfied customer. The dishonesty and poor customer service has turned me completely off. The customer service was deplorable. I dropped my 2 external hard drives off for repair on the 10th. I got a call about a week later that the hard drive had a bad sector and that it needed to be placed on a special machine. I approved the additional service. Then I get a call 1.5 weeks later stating there is a fee for this service that needs to be paid to initiate the service. I told them this was not communicated previously and that we have lost about 2 weeks of service time. I call back the next day to question about this and was able to speak to the manager, who is the original person I spoke to. He proceeds to tell me that he told me that there was a fee when he called 1.5 weeks perviously and that I said I was coming in on a Monday. This is where I experienced the first instance of information I found to be untrue was stated. I told him that had to be completely untrue, due to the fact that I work 2 hours away and had a doctors appt the next day.He then says I can pay over the phone. I said why wasnt that option offered to me when you first called. I could of handled it over the phone then. He then proceeds with to state that he has been trying to call me several times and that my voicemail was full. This is when I became livid. The reason is, I have a google voice number that I can track all calls made to me whether I pick up or not and it is backed by a 2TB Google cloud storage. It would never be full. Not to mention, I have received multiple voicemails in the last week from different people. This is when I decided not to continue service because of the dishonesty and refusal to honor their mistake. I would have rather them say We calles you once but didnt leave a voicemail or maybe say Ms. Hendrix we are sorry for the mix up. However, none of that happened. No one apologized in good customer service fashion. The blame was put on me. It sadden me that the manager did not own their mistake or would attempt to lie to cover their oversight.Update:When I went to pick up my hard drives, the owner asked to speak to me privately. Lets just say his defensive nature, accusatory tone and unpleasant was not what I was expecting. He said that he had records that showed he communicated to me. I asked to see them. But the records only showed one call which lasted 15 seconds. (btw which is contrary to what one of the employees said when they stated they called several times but couldnt leave a message...And this was the untruth that was originally told that bothered me the most. Needless to say, no response on why someone told me they called several times and my voicemail was full could be answered) He said that I had to take this review down or he would be forced to react. Not sure what that means. But I remained calm and diffused the situation. He offered my $50 fee back for the attempt of the fix. I told him, they had earned that with the time they put in to diagnose and should keep it. He insisted and returned the money to me. All in all, I did get my deposit back but had to deal with a ton of poor customer service.Posting an untruth does not serve me benefit nor is it advantageous either. I may have gotten my deposit back but I still have a broken hard drive that I need fixed. Which I now have to search for another company to do so.

It says on apples website that IT works will repair broken iPhone screens but all they do is take your iPhone send it to apple and you have to wait until it gets fixed while being without a phone.
