Only couple in whole store. Fittings rooms are closed but was told I can purchase and go to bathroom and try on and then return. Won’t waste my time. Clerks 2 OF THEM IN WHOLE STORE were rude, could care less if you were even there, wouldn’t even greet you, smile or say a word. This store just needs to close up and go out of business now and let a good retailer come in.
Sears Service is excellent but you sell CINCH Home Warranty and you lose two Stars. I wish I had not purchased the appliance extended warranty or the Whole House Warranty. The appliances are great and CINCH Home Warranty is terrible. I have to hang out in the Sears retail store and tell everyone how unpleasant my experience has been. Sears finally took care of me, the customer, after 2 days of peaceful company in their stores and surrounding walkways and parking lots of their establishments are keeping a CINCH Warranty employee on the line with my polite requests to speak with just one more department, to help resolve the matter. Sears should handle their own service.
Yes they are still open!! I actuallly ended up going here twice in one week. Limited selection in each department. Great sales prices. They allow 45 days to return clothes which is nice since you cant try anything on BC of covid precautions. All staff were masked up. Staff very welcoming & accommodating. Bathrooms very clean.
My BFF needed a new Kenmore canister vacuum & we were so happy to find a Sears store still in business!
Ive shopped at Sears for well over 40 years but this visit was just sad and depressing; I cant imagine how much more so it must be for the employees. This once powerful American icon of retail is just a disgrace now. The store was very thinly stocked and the inventory mix didnt even make sense. The AC was either off or barely working. The associate that I dealt with was friendly and as helpful as he could be, but there wasnt much he was able to do to assist. It was just depressing.I was told that this is the last store remaining open in this state and there are some nearby states with none. I think its time to just rip off the band-aid, stop the bleeding, and shut it all down.
Why are the clothes so wrinkled?? Prices seem reasonable and the quality of the ladies pants is good.
They have increased their stock and selection. I hope they find means to maintain a well stocked store so we can continue to have their good quality merchandise

Sad, very sad, I remember going to Sears and it being almost being an event. The catalogs, the wish list catalogs, wandering through the store was something exciting for me as a child and young adult. The Sears at Friendly Center was an anchor store. I feel for the people who work there. I really wanted find anything to buy there just out of pity. If there is a such a thing as a retail store hospice then this is what it looks like.
This Sears location is greatly diminished in product availability. Perhaps there is less stock because shoppers have purchased online more during COVID. But in April 2021 there is little stock and even fewer daytime shoppers. On the plus side, the aisles are free of debris and there is plenty of room. Wondering if this location will close soon.
I liked this place. It was our first time. The store was organized and had a good selection of items including shoes, jewellry and clothing. We were there for kids clothings and after going to so many places i finally found nice dresses for my daughter that were at a really good price. Customer associate was so nice.
Nice discounts on various items good quality i feel very sad as they not able to compete with giants like walmart which makes walmart to sell the items at higher price
Best surprise of the day. We looked all over town for a range for a friend. Hers had stopped working and she needed one now. After trying 5 different places and being told by everyone that we had to order it online we tried sears. It was no hassle. A wonderful and helpful salesperson and we found what we wanted and bought it instore with instant pick up. I will definately spread the word about this
Very sad to walk through Sears. Looked like a going out of business sale. There are probably things there for some people but I couldnt find anything I was interested in. I used to buy lots of clothing there but not anymore.I do hope Sears survives and makes a miracle come back. They need new ideas and some more inventory. Probably need some money also.
Went looking for a Kenmore dryer. Left store after buying pants for myself. The store is not the same as is was and Im sad about that. But I will continue to buy appliances until they close.

Not what it used to be.The store, at least, in the tools section looks empty. I was looking for some parts to do service on my craftsman lawn tractor and they dont have most of the parts.When one of the employees offer to help, he said that they had reduced the inventory considerably according to past years.
Sears is not what it used to be. The store is almost empty. There is no tools and not much of anything else . It has really gone down.
The pick-up promise online said, we will bring it out to you within 5 minutes or less. Dont count on this at this location.First, the store hours are incorrect online. It said they closed at 6pm when they were, in fact, open until 8pm on Monday 12/14. The phone system also said they were closed. We had to go inside and once we located the service counter, the man behind the counter had some sort of frustration with the fact that we didnt type in our order number. This process is not posted anywhere and other Sears employees directed us to ring a bell.I got what I ordered, but the process was worth a discount. Sorry for the honest reviews, others should be aware.

5 Month Delay...I bought a new home back in September and ordered all new appliances from Sears. They said Dec. 2nd was the earliest they could deliver. Okay, Covid delays, I get that. Its now almost 5 months past when I ordered and they are still not here. 2 full months past when they initially said itd be ready. This is absolutely ridiculous. Every single time, the day before its supposed to be delivered I get an email saying its been delay another 2 or 3 weeks. When I call customer service they say theres nothing they can do about it.Will never buy appliances from Sears again and will never recommend anyone to buy there either.

Sears sold me a LG Dishwasher and talked me into the sears protection plan. The salesman seemed nice and insured me that even though it will take 3 months for the washer to come in that they would take care of me. The unit got delayed longer than three months but was scheduled for delivery today. Well, it arrived dented and broken. The installer had to take it away. After 4 calls and 2 hours on the phone, no one from the Sears store at friendly, the installer OR their toll number can give me an answer besides that they will call me back in 72 hours with the next step. It has been on of the worst customer service experiences Ive ever had.

I would be happy to change my review when I get in contact with someone, but we placed an order on Sunday 3/15/20 that we tried to cancel shortly after. Main customer service line told us we must deal directly with the store. We live an hour away and I have called several times over a few days and cannot get anyone on the phone. I am highly stressed as we needed to return the item already and do not want to have to drive an hour for something that can be taken care of over the phone.

Sears is by far the worst when ordering appliances. We have been on the phone for over 2 hours with no solution. They delivered our washer and dryer on Monday. They told us installation would happen at the same time. They can back today to install (same people who delivered on Monday that said they could not install came today). They installed washer then told us they were not certified to install dryer. Now they are trying to charge us more money to install dryer. Do not recommend this company and will not be using them again.
Probably closing soon. Not much inventory. Much of the remaining store is blocked off and empty. Sad to see the former mighty Sears dying out.

I ordered a washer/dryer combo over the phone it was rescheduled 3 times .No one called to offer any explanation as to what happened. Each time I called I was given a different excuse. They ask for your email as if they are going to follow up with you and I never received an email from them. The last conversation I asked to be compensated for all of the no shows and was told there is nothing they can do to to compensate me for my inconvenience. I understand why they are at the brink of filing BK, their customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced

This was a very good experience. My daughter was able to find some really good items. They also had a nice sale on sleepwear.The staff was pleasant and helpful. I did inquire about them closing this store and was told it would not be closing at this time.

Moved to N.C recently and very happy sears was here because I have always done business with them! 30 years of tools and appliances from Sears! What a disappointment! I order a lawn tractor tool online,and received a email it was in and ready for pickup! Drove 1 hour to get item,when arriving at store was told not ready,Ask for manager and manager told me I should have arrived after 12:00 because they need time to do inventory.It was 12:03,and the email said nothing about time! While they searched for my item,I went to purchase a tool and got in line with 1 person ahead of me.After 10 minutes I went to another line with 1 person and again over 15 minutes.After 1/2 an hour finally did my purchase! There was more workers than customers in the store. Drove 1 hour back home and the item I ordered online, and had to spend a hour putting together, was defective! When I called customer service, they did not mention that they would pick up my item or send a replacement to my house ! Said they would try to fix my new item.So tomorrow another 3 hour waste of time to return item and get my money back! No more Sears for me!

Great Black Friday sales at both Lands End section and in the main Sears store. Also some good doorbusters. I have always enjoyed shopping at Sears ever since I was a kid. Helpful sales people, good products, good prices. I hope my store stays open.
Friendly. Clean. Discounts. This summarizes Sears. Ive been going now to Sears lately for lawn & garden tools instead of Lowes, because of the friendly staff and deals. Thought, I will say Sears does need to redo their rewards systems, as it is very confusing. Still, this Sears is great! Ive done In Store Pickup for several items, and when I arrive, they come out with the order in minutes. If you need something for your home, Sears is the place to go. Hope they survive!

I ordered an item online so I secure a discount, but opted to pay in the store so I could pay cash. When I arrived, they could not figure out how to run my item up using the barcode provided to me in email so the cashier had to ring up the item like a new transaction. The customer service was slow and not very friendly-- he kept asking questions that seethed with judgment like, Why didnt you just pay online? Though I did not owe him an explanation, I gave home one and he proceeded to tell me that next time it would be easier to pay online. How about next time you learn a thing or two about customer service and figure out how to use the damn online barcode correctly?
Although it is never very busy and there stock seems to be getting depleted. I always seem to find what I want. I will be upset if it closes. But.... u cant control corporate decisions.

We went into Sears for the first time in years recently and were very impressed. The store was clean, not cluttered, the staff was friendly, and the prices were great. I bought a pair of Jeans $5 cheaper for the same pair at another large department store. My wife bought a jacket much cheaper than anyplace else we have shopped. The quality of the clothing was solid as well. We were so impressed that we will go back and do most of our Christmas shopping here. If you have not tried Sears for awhile, I recommend you give them another look. Sears at the Friendly center is my new favorite store.

They dont even honor their own sales there were a few pieces of clothing that were still on sale I went to buy and when I got to the register the said they would no longer on sale even though the tag was still on there she kept trying to force me into pay full price I will never go back
Sears is such a sad store. Ive been visiting Sears often lately as I attempt to redeem points earned as a result of a completed home improvement project. What has happened to Sears? Basic to low quality merchandise, a slim selection, and a very empty store devoid of shoppers. Polite staff, however. For those of us of a certain age, we remember when Sears was the top retailer for many families.
Now, I am sure that Sears is no longer a viable company. I have just left the auto center at Friendly Center.I needed a brake check because my brake light was on. I entered the store at 1:45PM. I told the cashier that I needed a brake check. She said, you need to set up an appointment. I said, thats fine-- what time do you close? She said 6:00PM. She then told me that she couldnt schedule the brake check in 4 hours and 15 minutes;and that, there was only one service technician. This is at Friendly Center one of the largest shopping centers in the state. The one star rating was undeserved: It should be less than one star.

I have tried not to buy from here from bad experiences in the past 20 years but thought I would give them one more chance. So I purchased a very nice vacuum cleaner to find out that it was complete junk.So, I returned it in a few weeks to exchange it for another model and was told I have 30 days to return it.When I returned this unit for another one the manager of the store was rude and did everything she could to try and convince me there was nothing wrong with it. I wish I could let you here the conversation I recorded!! Absolutely horrible customer service!!The gentleman in the department was the best and this is why I am giving it 2 stars.Last Chance Sears!!

Wow, Sears has discontinued the Store Pickup option for online orders for this location. Now youre stuck with having to pay shipping unless your order is over $59. Sears, I hope a store with better policies takes over this location when you complete your descent into oblivion.
Long wait for service
The wait is way to long the down stairs store arent as friendly they arent quick to wait on customers as they are yp stsirs at the Friendly Store in Greensboro Jason who works the up stairs sold me a refrigerator about 2yrs ago hes very kind and hellpful when im not in a hurry I go up stairs for him to assist me when i have questions about my refrigerator I always call the store to talk to him hes a good person always pleasant and patient.....
They use CLW Delivery in Greensboro for their appliance delivery and these people have no idea what they’re doing. This company said twice Sears failed to tell them until the last second what side the door handles are supposed to go on with a refrigerator we bought so it further delays delivery and the problem is they don’t know how to change the door handles. I literally watched them break parts in front of me. Now we are stuck with one that is broken and CLW blames it on Sears and the 2nd one that was supposed to be delivered today - they blame it on Sears again saying it is dented in. 2 weeks later no working appliance. Save yourselves the hassle and spend the extra money and purchase a appliance elsewhere. This experience has been horrible.
Sears is a great place to shop for all types of appliances and great furniture! The customer service is OUTSTANDING!!! And their rewards program keeps us coming back again and again!
The best thing about this company is the sales people. I got a heat pump in December. In April the air stopped working. I work in the heat all day feeding children. Come home and sweat like a sinners on judgement day. I’m writing this because I’ve been told you are still under warranty. We are sorry for your inconvenience. If I had a talking bird and put the phone bye it for all the recordings I’ve listened to he would know it by heart. Well it helps boost my credit. But wats the hell $7000 for something u can’t use. All I can say is buyers beware. Maybe I can get some help after they read this. If not next step is over there heads

If I could give this place -100 stars best believe I would in a heartbeat. Their customer service is terrible and their staff seems to dread helping people in any way. For instance, my parents bought a set of new wedding rings for their anniversary at this store. It took almost 2 months to finally receive my father’s ring as oppose to 3 weeks that was the max wait. We kept going back to check and see if it had arrived yet, nobody seemed to know and they didn’t seem to care either. These two associates by the names of “Jada” and “Dalla” are honestly shameful because they exhibited arrogance and their answers to our questions were “If you havent received a call then it’s not here and we can’t do anything about it.” They didn’t even bother checking on the order, asking a manager or looking in the safe to see if it was there. Turns out it was. And Dalla later came out by saying “It just got here” like come on. The lady didn’t even bother to look for it until a manager did. I could keep going on about our experiences with this store and it’s staff. No wonder it’s going out of business. At no point did we receive an apology for having to wait so long or for the misunderstanding. Not planning to go back to any sears store, ever.

Had to have a tool replaced.. manager wanted me to not get a new one but take my name and number and come back when they could repair. After I protested and explained I drove an hour to get there one of the other clerks repaired the ratchet.
Went to Sears to get parts to do maintenance on my Craftsman front time tiller. Had none on hand. No air filters and very few spark plugs. Nearby Advance Auto Parts for all I needed.

The store is nice, organized . At the time of my visit the a/c was not working but It didnt bother me..it wasnt that bad and that can happen anywhere for sure it got fixed . I find the items that I need it to purchase and with some discounts that helped.
