Awesome customer service. They are very knowledgeable of where things are located and what they do not carry.

It was good, I was in and out in a matter of minutes. The cashier was efficient and knowledgeable and right to taking care of my money transfer. She was very nice and courteous.

They only have self check out open no register are ever open how are we to keep out distance when the lines are down the aisle and there is no worker in site they are not keep the people safe with distancing I do not recommend this Walmart at all smh

Ive shopped here on a number of occasions. Im usually able to find what I need at reasonable prices and check out quickly. Convenient as designed.

This walmart is nice. but there is a lot of homeless people. plus the parking spots and parking lot in general seem very tight. scared to park my vehicles here at times

I like shopping here because this is the only Walmart I can find my minute maid sugar free regular lemonade in the cooler section Ive been to the one on cone boulevard the one on wendover and they just dont carry my lemonade for diabetes also Milos sugar free no calorie tea I can find it there only thing I wish the cashier that was a young man was a little more friendlier young man wasnt friendly or it would have got a five star

Great change of pace from the hustle and bustle and NOT having register open/available like the Walmart super center. Great selections of products and services. Easy to get in and get out. Helpful employees too. If you can’t find something just find one and ask and they will be glad to help you

This is the worst Walmart ever. I go to this walmart because it right by my house. I can walk. They only had the self check out register open. Two was up and two wasn’t working. One of the registers is card only and one is card and cash. No employee on the register at all. The line was long. They had employees stocking the shelves and they did not call any of them to come open a register and get the line down. The never have any carts. Like we always have to search for a cart. I will no longer be shopping here. Taking my money to target.

This place is a joke. I usually go to self checkout because it’s quicker and there are usually no lines and I only had 10 items. Today the employee thought she was being productive by telling me to go to a regular checkout lane. So instead of checking out in 5 minutes i had to wait behind 2 people while the self checkout lanes were literally empty. I don’t know what they were trying to accomplish with that. They could learn a thing or two from any other Walmart.

This location is very close to my main location and its usually very easy and quick to get in and out.

Store experience was ok, but noted for a neighbourhood grocery store their prices were far higher than at a regular Walmart!

Went in to purchase a last minute gift. Was able find a book in the “books” section near the electronics and pay in that area as well. Electronics associate was really nice and rung me out really quickly. I always find what I need in Walmart.

So glad this Wal-Mart market still has a couple of cashiers. Its difficult to do regular large weekly grocery shopping as you get older and do self checkout. I should have a choice whether to bag and checkout my groceries. They have removed this choice st the market on Friendly Avenue.

Employees continue to be rude. Worst customer service ever. This last visit they only had one cashier with a register open. My family and I go to her register with buggy full of items and she looks at us and say find another register. Mind you, she was the only register aside from the self checkout. She didnt have anyone in front of us. she had a rude attitude as if she didnt want to be at work. I refuse to mention it to management because they dont make changes. so unacceptable and unprofessional. I wish we had more options on the south side of town.

Havent been in a Walmart that small in many years. There were a lot of empty shelves. But the people were friendly and helpful.

Well-stocked, but check expiration dates on dry goods! Online orders not checked into system, causing unnecessary delays. Check tracking online then call the store to update status. Police routinely comb parking lot. Not an ideal store, but serves its purpose.

Inventory unfortunately is not good. Meats are horrid with only low end cuts.

Went to the Neighborhood Walmart on Gate City Blvd for the first time, the store was quite clean, of course everything is arranged differently, there ended up being 3 cashiers working & all self-checkouts open by the time I left, it also seem like the aisles were longer, but overall I had an enjoyable experience...

Good for a quick in and out trip. Usually have to use the self checkout since only one lane open. Other than that nice store, can make returns there, they do enforce the masks.

The level of customer service here is horrible. Yesterday I arrived to find no carts. I asked the associate at the door about carts and she said I had to get one from the parking lot. So the carts were not getting sanitized properly. I got clorox wipes from my car to sanitize my car but no else did. I went in the store and passed over 10 associates standing around talking. Why were these people not keeping us safe by getting and cleaning carts? After gathering my items, there were 2 cashiers on duty and the self checkouts were not functioning properly. This is the case the handful of times that Ive been there. The customer service is absolutely horrible and I normally drive 15 to 30 minutes out of my way to avoid shopping there due to the terrible customer service.

Every time I come here there are no carts. The last 5 times I had to walk around the parking lot and find one. The employees dont care to make sure they bring more carts when there are none available.. so annoying. Just go to aldi or food lion instead. Much better option and its close by with good customer service and non ghetto employees..

Customer service counter was closed AGAIN because they don’t have the staff scheduled to provide adequate services. WORST attitudes and customer service ever!

Few open checkout lines with long lines. They also have a few untrained employees that have bad customer service skills and also dont know where there products are even located at sometimes. Not all employees are bad just a few rotten apples! Other then this, the prices of food @ Walmart are great and they also have a huge selection of everything there!

If I could give Zero stars I would. There were no carts available. I needed to get a 50 lb bag of dog food, box of dog biscuits, and a bag of kitty litter. The staff was very rude! The employee working at self checkout ignored me when I was talking to him and trying to ask a question. After I checked out the employees watched me struggle while I had a 50lb of dog food on one shoulder and a bag of litter in the same hand while I tried to pick up the box of biscuits. I work in customer service I would have never let someone stand there and struggle into embarrassment. Walmart is full of trashy inconsiderate people.

I would love to give a better rating but as always the lady at customer service seemed like I was bothering her and apparently her time wasto valuable to handle my needs.

There are good and bad things to me about these Neighborhood locations. The shopping carts are outside and when its raining you have to try and pull the carts apart to get one in the rain. I want to confirm what others are saying that to get a shopping cart you have to go all over the parking lot to find one sometimes.Then, youll be lucky if it rolls straight through the store. Secondly, theyve been doing away with the price check machines throughout the store. They want you to use their app. But I do not carry my phone in a grocery store. At this Gate City Blvd location its become hit and miss when the Moneygram location is actually open as well as Customer Service itself. They seem to be short staffed so the Customer Service people are running around doing other things. At this location its hit or miss to get a half gallon of regular milk at night. I prefer self checkout but trying to open those plastic bags can be a problem at any location compared to Food Lion or Targets self check outs. Ive found Neighborhood Walmarts can have different items, like Best Buy Tortilla chips are at this location but the Walmart Supercenter on West Wendover hasnt had them in at least two months. They used to sell Red Cabbage in a jar but now they dont (only beets) so I go to Food Lion to get it. All in all Im glad this market is here but there are days when shopping is just not a joy here. So far my interactions with the employees here has been good. But then again in this Covid time I try not to interact with anyone if I can help it. I have seen some employees improperly wearing masks with the mask below the nose which I think is dangerous. And since they took down the fencing at the entrance some customers without masks at all and not being stopped.

Fairly well stocked. Problem was at check out. Only 2 registers had cashiers and both of them said they were closed after they finished with the person they were currently helping and did not seem to care if or when another line opened. I finally got the attention of a very nice slightly older lady working the front desk area. She got a supervisor who opened a checkout lane at the opposite end of where the other cashiers had been working. So by the time I got down there 3 people were already in line. They need help.

Dont go to the one on friendly. Three black women were so disrespectful to me, and im black myself.

Nice market. We was able to find most of the items on our list. Loved the self check out line. Will definitely be back!

It’s parking is not the best. Too many homeless people hang out outside. Store is hard to navigate around all the pilots the staff has out on the floor for stocking. Expect to check out your own groceries. Employees are fairly nice.One great thing is, the milk is cheap.

Never enough cashiers to efficiently provide quality service

There are certain male employees at this store who I have NEVER seen wear their mask properly. This is obvious to anyone. God forbid if they are asymptomatic and are doing their whole shift with their masks pulled down around their neck. Theyd saturate the place with virus vapor. This has been going on for months. Its so habitual that one wonders if its not being tolerated by management. Add this to the fact that this 27407 zip code area has one of the highest covid rates in guildford county, so if you have a preexisting condition you might consider trying another Walmart location.

I was very disappointed today the person that was supposed to take care of the front end around the scan and goes wasnt paying any attention people were just going anywhere they wanted to go instead of going in short order then I register was supposed to be right open to take customers but they were like six people just there talking and playing very very disappointed in it very disappointed

I love this particular Walmart! It has the exitic fruits & veggies a foodie like me treks out of the way 4. I go 4 a few things & easily come out with dozens of items b/c I get SO inspired!

Great service, fast Checkout, easy to find products I needed, clean store parking lot clean with handicap accessible parking + entrance, restrooms public & clean! Best part, no trouble loading $ to a prepaid card! Awesome shopping experience & Im no fan of Wal-Mart.

For me, a lot of the employees are young and unprofessional. Not properly trained in customer service... As of today, i am changing my review status. This store located on Gate City Blvd. (formerly, High Point Rd.) Have upped their professionalism, and definitely deserve to be praised. Well done! From 3 stars to 5 Continue in EXCELLENCE..

I live in the neighborhood so I shop there for convenience when I dont want to drive to far. They tend to have a lot of items that are past the sell by date. Especially in the snack aisles some have been weeks or months beyond the date. Just remember to look for the dates before you purchase. You also have to search for the plastic bags for your fruit and vegetables and on several occasions theres none there at all. The positive is that the clerks at the register are really nice.

Its not overly crowded and the staff are very helpful. My electric buggy died and the lady went and got me a new one. I shop from this Walmart all the time. Its small, but its just food and some household essentials. And theres always an electric buggy to be found, unlike the other two Walmarts in my area. Definitely recommend this store and will be returning for future shopping trips.

This is absolutely the nastiest store Ive ever seen, the floors are disgusting, product not stocked & employees with no sense of any direction. Today I witnessed a total disregard for a senior by a self checkout host, no regard for the person even after they told her that they were diabetic & needed help checking out . Walmart Corp. Needs to take a really hard look at this location !!!

I like this smaller Walmart. I can get my fresh turnip greens & collard greens already bagged. Its easy to get in & get out by using self check-out.

Went 5 days in a row and the deli was closed. If youre planning on getting deli dont count on it being open this has happened more times than I can count.

I am rather disappointed in a few things with this store but the thing that I am really sorry and disappointed with is that the employees are not required to wear masks considering what is going on. They act as though the screen that that they have when they arrive at work is enough or they think that the COVID-19 virus is not real or just because they have no symptoms that they are fine. The truth is far from that they can be carriers and show no signs of of the virus. Use a mask when shopping in this store or any Wal-Mart store.

People are parking in Handicapped Parking making Disabled people park future away from the store. The people are not supposed to be parking in the Handicap parking space, and they dont have a Handicap Parking Placard. Employees around not helping the customers and customer service only has one person there keeping people trying to get a refund waiting for long periods of time. Other Employees walking around like their in a Daze!
