How bizarre and ironic. This card was postal delivered to my name. It is like getting 20% off groceries for four weeks! However, after visiting this tiny, crude, no-frills grocery store, I could hardly find even enough basic cheap generic commodities or basic staples to reach the $50 minimum purchase requirement. It was 17 minutes drive. Most items are of dubious quality. It is like a miniature tiny little version of Big Lots, but with produce. It is not nearly as nice and tidy as B.L., has little variety, stock, and virtually no known brands. They do sell a mess off lawn rakes and leggings though. The next day, we went to our Big Lots accross the street from us, for the first time. I regret my insulting reference to them the day prior. It is a well lit, tidy, cavernous, refined wonderland of variety and inventory.I found and purchased my first whistling water kettle. I hadnt used one since 1976. It is stainless steel, and marked $12. The extremely friendly and helpful cashier offered me a rewards account, and took of a $5.00 discount, so my cost was only $7.
Good prices and the employees are very friendly.
A very nice place to shop. I love the brands and the layout. There are almost never crowds of people which is a big plus.
I very much like shopping here. Great prices and quality food products. However the checking out process can be unnecessarily time consuming. Today all 4 self checkout registers were out of commission and only a single manned register was in service. There were about a dozen exasperated shoppers lined up. Finally one approached the checker and asked to please have someone get another register to open up which he did. Great. However this is not at all unusual. Too bad. Dont understand why in the heck every single self checkouts were out of service.
Great prices. Love the French baguettes. The produce section could be fresher, at times.
We save so much shopping here and the people that work at this one are amazing 👏
Really like Lidl. Quality in cheaper price
Groceries were of good quality. But didnt realize that the only milk they sold was organic. Ended up paying almost $6 for it! Ouch! Had a lot of cool stuff. Bought a shower head with different settings and it only cost me $10.
Always a fun place to go. Fresh vegs, fun plants, always new things to buy.
First time here looking for the elusive and now fabled distilled water... Found some so was excited but like everywhere else there was barely stock
This store is maybe 2 years old. It started out very well; all areas were well stocked, well organized & very clean. I visit this store every week or 2 & lately see a change- not for the better. On today’s visit I noticed the plant area had lots of dying/dead plants & spilled soil on the floor. The produce area looked ok but as I passed the stock room door, in the far back corner, there was a strong smell of rotting vegetables/fruit. I’m very disappointed to see that this store has deteriorated from its original status. I sincerely hope the problems can be resolved.
First time in this store. It was very nice, and the people that work there were very helpful and nice.
First visit, pretty happy with selection and very happy with prices.
Best prices of any grocery store. They also have a great selection.
Love Lidl was glad to find this one coming from VA same great experience
The buyer needs to order more accurately so sale items are in the store on first day of weekly sale.
Born and raised in Germany I know LIDL very well. As a bread lover it is very hard to find good European Style breads. I must say LIDL has the BEST Tasting bread selection in the Carolinas, bar none. The baguettes, the German Sourdough, the Multigrain Seeded bread, the Bretzels. Every product in the bakery is very good.
Nice place for inexpensive good quality food except the jelly donuts. Very little jelly and does not taste very good. I ended up throwing them away.
Staff is always helpful and courteous. Prices cant be beat anywhere. Store is clean, with sanitizing stations. A+
An overall pretty small store but theres some really good deals! I recommend checking it out
The prices are great! Today I got a bag of oranges 1.99!!!.. you can find fresh bread. Just bring your shopping bags.
First time Ive ever been to lidl I always go to aldi but now that Ive moved somewhere with a lidl I will be shopping at both! Lidl even has some stuff cheaper than aldi and more selection!
First visit to Lidl. Greater selection than Aldi. Prices are comparative to Aldi. Lots of cheese, meat, sauces, frozen food but not much drinks option. Was surprised to see clothing. No boxes available like Aldi so carry your own grocery bags. Highly recommended.
The prices ARE suspiciously low! Amazing, fabulous, clean, terrific bakery, wide selection and did I mention low prices. I cant wait till they open one closer to meYou have to go!
Clean neighborhood store with a very small produce, dairy and meat section. Nice variety of cheeses. Other dry goods, some clothing and other household goods. Must pack your own groceries, bring your own grocery bags or purchase in store. This store is very similar in concept to the Aldi store chain.
Didnt care for it, but really clean and bakery looked great.
Nice! I went to see a friend, but she wasnt there 😭😭😂😂
It isthe first time I do shopping here and it is good.
Good store got a little bit of everything. The only thing theyre missing is some of the name brands thats all. Other than that I love it
Seems like they are getting more and more non food items.
They have the best bakery ever, love their french baguette unlike the one you find at other groceries
I’ve found so many cool things in here for real low prices. Some items are not very “Good” quality (non food items) but still does the job. The grocery selection is pretty amazing, clean and organized. It’s simlilar to Aldi, bravo or save-a lot but I think it’s better. The location is nice as well. Lots of stores and eatery near by. SN: the selection of hygiene products are not worth buying here. They are Small products and over priced.
Love the bakery section and I typically can get in and out of there quickly.
Brought back memories from when I used to live in the Czech Republic, it was clean, organized and had a great variety of products for a great price.
Fair prices. Decent stuff. Like Aldi but rare enough to make you feel like the trip was special.
Interesting grocery store with unique foods. I really like the section in the middle of the store ( very cool products, sometimes even cute clothes, bought a hair detangler, toaster once before, etc.. for great prices and good quality > they change up the selection every week with new stuff).Bright and clean. Customer Service was average.🙃Thanks Lidl :)
Awesome new grocery store in Greensboro. If I could closely compare it to local grocery stores, it’d be like an Aldi on steroids and way better. Everything in the store is very nicely set up and super clean. They have their own bakery, and you must try the butter croissants as they are the best you have ever tasted. Prices are very competitive and they have some really good products. Again it seems very similar in set-up as Aldi as both of these are German companies. But is a much nicer touch. Definitely give this place a check, they have a lot of brands that they produce themselves that allows for half the price.
Great selections and great prices
Well stocked. Short checkout line
Good amount of the everyday items that you need plus a lot of little specialty. Among other things, got a nice rack of lamb for under $20
Very similar to Aldi. I like to shop the produce here and they have a decent wine selection too.
Good prices and selection. Bring your own bags!
Different shopping experience!
Cleanest Lidl I have been in. All their employees are nice and make it a great place to shop. Cannot beat their prices. Try their Lidl brands. All are great!
First time for the wife. She was impressed.
First time, fantastic.
Very nice, clean and well lit, very reasonable prices and good selection of breads, and meats and fresh vegetables.
I absolutely love this store! It is always well stocked with prices similar if not a little cheaper than aldi. The customer service is good and it’s very clean. I love the fresh baked bakery bread and the produce. My sister says the produce can be hit or miss but that hasn’t been my experience. I would love to go more frequently but it’s a bit far! You can find all kinds of home/clothing/ misc items and the chocolate is delicious! Highly recommend !
Love my lidls
Like this store. Dont like wait in line at checkout check
Great place. Super helpful employees
Manager stood right behind me during self checkout. #triggered
My first visit and was really glad I stopped in. Great prices and a lot of variety.
Great store with competitive prices. Produce is fresh.
Good bakery products, and fast checkout
Wonderful deals on food plus they have a little extra. Special deal like Aldi, can have cloths, toys, housewares, ect. Got a universal remote for under $10.
I absolutely love this store. I didnt go in for the first 6 months or so and I regretted that. I have saved soooo much money by shopping here its not even funny. The staff is so nice, the store is clean and their store brand products are extremely high quality. Their cereal is just as good, if not better, than the national brands for literally about 25% of the cost and everything I have purchased from the store has been an amazing value. I highly recommend this store to anyone, but if you are on a grocery budget and need to get the best bang for your buck, I wouldnt shop anywhere else EXCEPT THE LIDL! What an amazing store.
Lidl is very clean, although I normally go to the one in danville, this one was very nice as well.
I really like shopping here! Its not the most convenient for me, but its worth the trip. Very clean, well organized store. Excellent prices.
Good store to shop;
First time in store and was impressed with stock and products. Employees were awesome especially the security person.
On a recent Sunday morning I went to check out. No cashier was there and all the self-pay areas were closed. A prerequisite for being is business is to provide ways in which customers can pay. At that point in time, this Lidl location was not providing payment services.
The protein powder is really good
Plenty to offer, the prices are no better than Walmart, and i felt like I would need to go to another store if I was doing my weekly shopping. Aldi is still my go to.
Unusual items from Europe and other countries. Top quality selections. Great choices. And food is very healthy.
If ur willin 2 shop 4 what u want some good deal can b held. Look around, try a different brand. Shop 4 price
Aldi is better. I liked Lidl at first I still thought Aldi was better overall their brands just taste better than Lidl my wife and I both agree on that. Recently it seems Lidl has gotten more expensive and theyre not offering anything to justify that price. In my opinion Aldi is easier to get through its just laid out simpler. The store brands they have are better, and they have more unique seasonal items. Aldi has better prices as well and the checkout process is faster. My biggest problem with Lidl is actually their checkout process it is slow and stressful they need to learn from Aldi. Sorry Lidi but Aldi is just better.
Lidl is very close to me, and in the same shopping center as a major grocery chain, so it is convenient for me to shop both, and purchase items at Lidl that I cant find at the other store, or the same items at a far lower price. I particularly like Lidls bakery department for breakfast breads and pastries.
Love this grocery store!Prices are great and everyone is very helpful and friendly!!!I enjoy shopping there. Its not a real big store but have everything you need and more! 7-17-20Thanks to everyone there working to make my experience enjoyable!
The sales people dont greet or help.
First time there, I wasnt impressed
Not quite what I hoped for. Still a good store.
Ive never had a bad experience at Lidl! The employees are always friendly and helpful, and their store layout is easy to follow. The prices are unbeatable, and on average I am in and out of the store in less than an hour.
LOVE lidl!! Just wish they had more items such as hygiene products and cleaning products to make this a one stop shop. I always have to go to Harris teeter or lowes right after lidl as you cannot get all your household needs from Lidl.
There is something for everyone! Love the selection!
Lidl is always great clean and really good prices all the time
The old women that works in the bakery is very mean 😕 !!!!It makes it very hard to request/ ask for something..Needs serious consideration !!
12-29-20Its a what is the big deal bag for me and reminds me of Aldi. Been twice since it opened and safe to say I am done. I also waited until all the kinks of being new are out. People tend to overrate places that are new.I like how most supermarkets have national brands and store brands. You wont get that here and comparison shopping is nonexistent. There are staple items I purchase regularly that I cant get here. Sure I can purchase on blind faith but dont like the idea. Which brings me to...What few items I did purchase werent up to par with national brands and even store brands at say, Publix or HT. I would bet there are some great buys on certain items but I cant see it am not willing to spend more money blindly on pure faith. Produce was poorly stocked and lacked selection too. I left aware that I had to make a stop at HT for this. The location bugs me. Its tucked away behind Wendys and the HT Fuel station and traffic is a cluster. The one positive was that registers were open and my line moved. I appreciate this.Lidl is in direct competition, in proximity, to Harris Teeter, Publix, and Lowes Foods. Its stiff. I will not return unless some forces of nature bring me here. I understand Lidl and similar stores have a following. Succinctly, I dont get it and I must be wearing the reality bifocals that others arent.
Been here a few times and have had a good experience every time. I love the bakery with fresh baked goods and the store brand candy that is dye-free! Our 5 year old is allergic to artificial food dyes and having a candy option that is dye-free is great!
We visited this Lidl Food Market (new to our area) yesterday for the first time. My impressions are mixed. Their motto seems to say they will have more of what you want and less of what you dont, but I found that motto to be hollow, as a major portion of the store was devoted to non-food items like exercise clothing, weights and student desks (among other things), none of which I expect to find (or be inclined to buy) in what is supposedly a food market. The produce section was small, and certainly not very comprehensive, but had the major items. You will NOT find your major national brands of foods in Lidl in most categories. Most of the items are either store-brand or from other unfamiliar suppliers. This is not to say those products are not the equal or better than the national brands, but you have to take a leap of faith that, for instance, the Lidl ketchup is going to be as good or better than the Heinz or Hunt ketchup you have always bought.I am NOT unwilling to try store brands, and have done so repeatedly at Harris-Teeter, Lowes Foods and others, but I have always had a choice with the national brands on the shelf beside the store brands, allowing me to compare both price, packaging and other criteria, a choice Lidl does not provide to me.There were some food bargains that we did sample, but I would have to be certain that those items were consistently cheaper than I can get elsewhere to make Lidl a frequent shopping place for me.One other item: Many of the meat products are packaged in plastic containers with quite a lot of air space in them, compared to the shrink wrap used by other food markets. I have a concern that if such items are taken home and frozen, they will be much more likely to suffer freezer burn more quickly than a similar shrink wrap item.Note also that you will have to bag your own groceries, and will pay for bags unless you bring your own (though paying for the bags appears to be at the discretion of the person checking you out). All in all, a mixed experience. We could not find items on our shopping list, like liners for our crock pot, and generally the shelf space for any particular type of item is VERY limited. This is okay if you accept the notion that Lidl has everything you would normally go to a food market to purchase and that you are happy with the price, quality and quantity of the items you can get there. If you cant find items and have to go somewhere else, then Lidl cannot be the one-stop shopping destination for you (or me).
Super clean! Everything is at an awesome price! My first time was very pleasant! :) not to mention they got a bread cutter??? Honestly couldnt ask for a better store.
Variety of products, clean. Foods are fresh prices are good.
This was my first visit to any Lidl store. I was very impressed with the friendly staff. Very courteous and helpful. The store was very clean. The fruits, meats, & produce were fresh. I will def be coming back here and I def recommend coming here
Very good prices and fresh products
Super clean and organized. Love the prices. Produce is always great!
First time shopper, great prices and selections, will definitely return
My first visit..Do not like some of the products I got from there, but doubt I would return them since Im on the other side of town! Really liked prices on eggs and milk! Some good deals, but nothing to brag about!!As I was checking out, I noticed several people in line behind me, and the cashiers were standing around talking, instead of opening registers??
The clothing area is a big mess!
Lidl is a nice grocery store that my husband and I like to go to when we are looking for good products at affordable prices. The store is very clean and the associates are all friendly. We highly recommend Lidl!
Absolutely love this store!!! I used to go to Aldi, but it gets boring after a couple visits. Lidl has more variety, and more authentic stuff. Fresh bakery and smells are inviting. Quality and prices are really good. The only problem is cashiers and staff. I don’t think there are enough of them to assist instantly. I have seen people waiting to be helped. I self check out so it doesn’t bother me.
Always very clean and well stocked. The staff is friendly and very kind.Love shopping there. The best.
Very good prices in milk and eggs!
Selections are thin but still a good experience. They never seem to have regular canned corn, or unseasoned canned tomatoes, and their deli bread selections are greatly reduced due to covid-19. However they do have everything individually wrapped in wax paper or plastic bags to reduce handling.
Lidl is always a good choice.
We visited Lidl to pickup a few things. We like the selection of flowers they have in the store. We also like the grass fed steaks and the price. Lidl has become a favorite place to shop.
Good deals. Nice store. Cashiers not always so nice.
Favorite grocery store! Excellent prices and generics and a simple layout.
Nice clean well organized store. Prices good. Comparable to Aldis. bakery and fresh bread nice. To far from my residence to shop there. Want them to open one near me in Ggeensboro NC.
