I have to start this review by letting readers know that in general I have a soft spot in my heart for bookstores. I am perfectly happy to wander without assistance and see what speaks to me. Barnes & Noble gets five stars because when wandering fails, there is knowledgeable staff to point a person in the right direction. There is also a little coffee shop where a customer can sit and read to their hearts content. Although very large, the entire space is clean and well organized.

Clean store, very nice staff. Little pricey. Wish there was better seating to enjoy looking through and enjoying the selection of books to choose from.

Great place to relax and look at books. They have an indoor Starbucks so you can drink coffee then look for a good book or movie

It looked pretty well stocked, but was very low on varieties of field guide books, which is what we were shopping for. The guidebooks were found in 3 different locations in the store. Kind of inconvenient for comparing the books.

For a bibliophile like me, Barnes & Noble near my home is a magical heaven. My family has always enjoyed browsing through books and sipping a cuppa joe there forever.Its a fantastic store, but honestly, it cant beat the online prices. Although I want to support the retailer and local/small businesses––getting a gift card or buying there does not convince me enough due to the lack of sales or coupons even when subscribed.I wished they worked harder to retain customers or at least price matched because if they had to close down anytime, book lovers like me would be saddened.

Its a nice bookstore. Employees are nice and currious. Like most businesses right now there are bare spots in some areas due to the infrastructure issues. But they had everything I wanted and I can always order and have delivered.

There are no carts! They charge full price and don’t even provide a cart for you to put your things in. It was not a nice experience.

It is a bookstore. What is there to be a critic of? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

This particular Barnes and Noble always has just what Im looking for. As a Christian I enjoy the Christianity and Bible sections which are pretty diverse in terms of translations and topics. But the rest of the store has great stuff too, even besides books! Clean store and friendly staff too! Thanks!

It was fine, staff asked if we needed help, but they just didnt have the books we needed. But it was clean, and welcoming.

No place to sit. The coffee shop is not friendly. I loved when you had comfortable places to sit. I am disabled, and I cannot stand for long periods of times. It just makes it difficult to enjoy shopping for books.

My Granddaughter Marley enjoys reading, thank God, so she got 2 books and was able to buy the books and still have money left for additional shopping!!! I looked around but could not find what I wanted and the clerk was already helping 2 others plus checking customers out and we stillhadshops Marley wanting to visit. Great place. My Son, my Daughter-in-law and Granddaughter are all fans of this store and all three of them are very educated. If you need a book, some games and other materials you need to check this store out. By the way all of their stores are a like so if you go to Greenwood Mall or the one in Colorado Springs CO you will see the same thing!

I called them ahead of time. I asked if they had what I was needing. They had it in stock. I asked if they would hold one for me, please. They held it, and my husband simply went in to pick it up dot-dot-dot readily available! Two thumbs up

I ordered a book for my daughters birthday.It didnt come in for 2 weeks.No apologies, no credit.No nothing.Its like they were doing me a favor to give them MY money for it...

This place is simply magical. Its much larger than other Barnes and Noble locations Ive visited, and their selection is wonderful. They have everything from books to DVDs to vinyl records, and the store has a quaint and relaxing feel that I havent seen replicated anywhere else. Its a great experience to browse through the store, and I leave satisfied even if I dont buy much.

Great selection just a little pricey unless you hit the discount tables.

I always enjoy Barnes and nobles browsing, buying, reading or sometimes getting coffee and enjoying all of the above.

My first encounters with B&N came back in around 1962 when I would come to Manhattan from the family apartment in Newark. I would go to the Strand Book Store first and then stroll to the nearby Barnes & Noble, which was, I believe, their only store at the time. The branch in Indiana is many times larger than that early one and also boasts a very nice cafe where one can sit and read over a lovely latte. Highly recommended!

ABSOLUTELY love Barnes&Noble. If they dont have the book you want they will order it for you. The environment is pleasant and comfortable. The employees are knowledgeable.

Love going here. Staff is super friendly, the shelves are always full,and if Im having trouble picking something out a staff member always offers great suggestions without spoiling the books! Starbucks inside is awesome to. I dont know what they do different at this one but their chocolate chip cookies are the best!

Go for their wonderful book selection, but dont miss their Criterion Collection of remastered/restored DVDs and Blue Rays from the grand history of film-making. Their inventory of masterwork films is the best in the city.

I love reading books on my Kindle. However, nothing can neat a real book in your hands. Love this place. Such a vast assortment of books on any subject matter. Visit this place and support old-fashioned reading.

The staff was helpful and nice and they have all sorts of items from books to movies, music, toys, and activities. Really enjoy shopping here.

Once I found someone to help me, it was good. Tried their website, and all it would let me see were the upcoming author events. They did have the book for which I was looking. I dont think I ever would have found it on my own.

Ordered the Stand by Stephan King. Came with the back cover ripped and tons of dents. I understand a little bit of wear and tear from shipping, but to have half the cover ripped off is just not acceptable. Also, some of the pages are cut wrong and the words arent visible. I know that isnt B and Ns fault, but maybe they should check the quality of their books before shipping. Do not recommend shipping to your house.

5 star B&N, (but I recommend Half Priced Books across the street). This has a decent bathroom, Starbucks, and a media section. Its a big store, great for browsing or sitting around, eating a scone and flipping through books while waiting on your husband and his brother to finish doing their dude stuff.

I cant stress enough how much I appreciated the door greeters strictly enforcing the mask and social distancing rules. Just some of the unsung heros in this pandemic who deserve more credit than they get. THANK YOU!

Limited occupancy right now for covid restrictions, but everyone was pleasant and the wait was not long. In and out fairly quickly. Clean store and well stocked with friendly employees.

Despite keeping a spars staff on my visit, help was rather easy to find. They were pleasant, professional, and safe as humanly possible.

Its a great book store, not much to say they had coffee and I love how open and spread out all the different types of books are.

Found 2 movies I have been hunting for as requested for Christmas gifts. AND extremely reasonable price for each. But still on the hunt for Season 10 of The Walking Dead. Not my cup of tea but one of my siblings choice. She has every season up till this one.

Very busy. Clean and neat. My only complaint was the employees who were helping customers find books were so busy, there was a super long line for help.

Staff is incredibly helpful, however, they are a bit pricy and definitely to the Left of the political spectrum. Books out advertising political figures were all pro-Democrat anti-Conservative.

Barnes & Noble at this location is not up to date in state/county ordinances where more than seven people can be in a building (that’s very special) I understand masks being required like the mall for safety I’m all for that; but what’s the point of having a café if rushed to chug it down and can’t drink anything while looking at books. Also, the employees/management rushes customers out the door while trying to act like they care about our safety when they clearly are trying to make their name and company a quick buck from customers. Doesn’t need any funding from federal or state aid if this is how they run things. A disgrace to the arts. Guess I found the Karen employees at this location.

I love walking into here and having a look at their books. They have moved some things around and distant their seating in the cafe. Just a FYI if you sit in the cafe they have signs for you to only sit for 30 min

Cody that was working at Starbucks today around 10:30 am is a STAR! What an exceptional employee! He was so kind and attentive. He was working alone for a little while and several times while I was waiting on my order he let me know that he would be with me shortly and that he appreciated my patience. It’s always easy to leave negative comments and reviews and too often amazing service goes unnoticed. This young man deserves a raise/promotion whatever you can give him. This was my first time in the greenwood Barnes and Noble and because of this wonderful experience I can’t wait to go back. Thanks for starting my Saturday out great Cody, you don’t know how much your smile and kindness can really make someone’s day! I appreciate You! A+ Barnes and Noble and Starbucks!

My happy place is anywhere there are books. But they are limiting the number of people in the store at all times.

Will not be giving this place any more money. This mask thing is old already. I understand YOU wanting to be safe but let ME make my own decision about MY health. If your mask isnt enough to protect you then why are you open?

Minimal selection of best selling materials in both the marriage and faith categories. Less than helpful staff who acted like I was interrupting their life to ask simple questions.

I understand every establishment has to have some safety guidelines in place because of the pandemic. Thats fine. But Barnes & Noble is a little excessive. Their capacity is pretty small. I waited in line to go in, and then once I did, I counted 6 other shoppers. There mightve been more but my point is that there is a small capacity.There is no where for me to try to find the book I wanted without hunting down an employee. Their service desk where they usually help you find a book is closed. And they didnt have a place to look one up on your own, and their website is garbage. When I found an employee to help me, she treated me like I had leprosy. Pretty short, like she didnt want to be talking to me, and then made a huge deal about not getting anywhere in my vacinity.Checking out, they wont touch your books. You have to angle them right for the cashier to scan the code, and then no bag. But they hand you a receipt they touched, so that doesnt make any sense. A pretty horrible experience, I will not be back until after these guidelines are done away with. Even then, Amazon is massively cheaper.

Just walk in looking confused, and an employee will show up. However cashier was rather off putting. Making ignorant comments that were rather offensive to anyone with intelligence. Looking through reviews, seems the norm for this location. Will not visit again.

My mom took my 5 year old in today to pick out some books for his birthday. He was so excited, and I am very disappointed in the experience they had. She said they waited in line, which is completely understandable and that they both had masks on. However, once they were in the store they were rushed by several employees as well as an announcement that came on every so often essentially telling people to hurry up. Once they got up to the checkout, the cashier refused to touch absolutely anything, and when my mom adjusted her mask so the woman could hear her say her phone number the cashier told her to put it up (which she hadn’t taken it down to begin with). She acted terrified and was quite rude. I totally get that we are dealing with uncertainty but all rules were being followed and frankly if you don’t want to be around anyone retail likely isn’t the place for you. Also, you don’t rush into B&N to grab something. The whole point is to enjoy browsing. Please adjust your customer service: I hate that what should have been a fun experience was dampened by associates trying to rush them out the door.
