I rented online which was easy to do. The equipment was not at the location it said it was, but an hour away. However, due to the loss of about half of the day in travel to get the equipment from the correct location they allowed a next day return to compensate.
My experience with United Rentals was very pleasurable. The person who assisted us was both friendly and very knowledgeable. We were able to rent the equipment with ease and no hiccups. The only reason we would not rent again is the incredible cost. We actually could use the equipment periodically throughout the year, but the cost prohibits that.
Great service during a crunch time of a project. Finding equipment right now is very difficult and the team came through for me at the last minute after a cancellation form a competitor.
Down to earth customer service with attention to detail....changes with the amount and type of equipment we needed was met with easy and without issues

Requested some additional items for UTV and installed as requested. Delivery was made to security team (due to company holiday) with specific instructions that key was only to be provided to myself. Perfect delivery.

I believe in honesty and rendering a fair, firm and impartial review in my decision applications. United Rentals to their credit presented the best price for equipment rented. The drop off was on time as they promised. I arrived on scene to witness the start up of the equipment. The Mini excavator was the first. When hydraulics started the rise of the arm, my employees and I heard a air release immediately, and hydraulic fluid spewed from one of the lines. We immediately shut down the excavator. It was no more than 10-15 minutes from the time the drop off was initiated that I had called the driver that delivered we had a problem. The driver said he would take care of it. Approximately an hour later, I called United via the 800 number and the lady said no trouble call had been implemented. She therefore did a great job to engage the problem. She called back and said the mechanic was running late and wanted to take his lunch break before assisting us. After a total of 5 hours wait time at a work stoppage with employees unable to work, the mechanic arrived at around 2-2:30 pm. The mechanic had to take the hoses to the nearest town to have the hoses made, then return and install. This was a day’s wages and a days rental lost. The next day, the Skid Steer had two leaks from hoses on the Grapple bucket and a fitting. Of course we waited another period of time where we were at a work stoppage with employees being paid. We examined the inspection tags where it clearly was signed by an authorized mechanic the day before that equipment met minimum standards of quality. It was questionable because some of the major components that was to protect the hoses during Grapple bucket use was missing, exposing the hoses to the elements that could puncture and stretch the limitations in the hoses. We waited like the day prior for the service to be rendered, again waiting on the manufacture of additional hoses and the install. Another part of the day non productive. Let it be known the mechanic stated to us the protection for the hoses was indeed missing and it was not of a priority to repair. With this in mind, we felt it best NOT to use the Grapple Bucket which took away a lot of allotted time we had the equipment reserved. I write this review because when it comes to customer service, and being a lead in the field, I set the example and try diligently in correcting issues that might be evident in the future when doing business. The best policy is to believe the customer is always right until facts prove different. I called today to discuss the compensation of lost wages and missed operating time on the equipment. The manager was very polite and reviewed the events we had. He gave the discount cost of the Grapple bucket but that was it. He at one time suggested that we might be responsible for a damaged fitting and said it appeared the other hose was cut. It felt like he was issuing a purposely directed sabotage of the equipment. Because of this, it was my main reason for applying this review. We received about $230 credit for the Grapple bucket which we weren’t able to use. Our lost wages compute to be around $445 and over a days use of equipment rental of around $361. An approximate $591 lost revenue. Thank goodness they were less expensive than the competition. Again, the manager was very polite to deal with as a whole, and for this I will accrue the loss wages. Perhaps we both learn from this endeavor.
Good folks to deal with
