It has been a long journey, but we are coming to the end and will soon be in our new home. Ross has worked with us and Martin is doing the groundwork. Be careful and do your due diligence with financing.

Deserves a -5 stars!! Will never go there again. Not happy at all. We tried to get a land home package. Had to pay 500 for them to hold the land and when the appraisal supposedly got done. Ryan never called and told us anything about it falling through. I had to hear about the land through the company that was financing us. Never got my 500 back for the land being held. I do feel like I should have since it was not us that backed out. It was Ryan who never told us about why the land wouldnt work for the home we wanted.

They DONT even deserve a 1 star rating!!! They are completely unprofessional!!!! We are a young couple who are first time homeowners! We had to deal with Ryan mostly who never knew what was going on. Everytime we tried speaking to someone else was told we had to only talk to Ryan because he was over our application. They rushed a house on us and have had issues no stop with it since we got in. They torn up my parents-in law land just getting the mobile home on the property and didnt even bother trying to fix it. They had us move in andwe was living in it WITHOUT water for over 3 weeks. We called and called, never got answers, always told we will call you back. Now here we are again havent been able to use the water for over 2 weeks due to it being muddy water! We just made the first payment yesterday and today we had our own guy come out to look at the well. The well that they SUPPOSELY checked and maded sure was USEABLE. Turned out THEY LIED TO US. It is NOT useable at all!!!! Its caving in, CANT be used!!!! Yet we never would found that out if we hadnt called OUR OWN water guy. Because we are STILL currently waiting on clayton homes. They rushed us in a house and we have had nothing but problems and they DONT CARE. They have there money now so they are basically saying screw you. Its your problem not ours. When in our contract it states they have to be able to provide us with water. Which they have FAILED to do. I even have pictures and PROOF of EVERYTHING!!!

My husband, daughter, and I went today to start finding out what we wanted and the process of buying a new home. We first spoke to Ryan who handed us keys and told us 2 sentences about the mobile homes on the lot. Not at all what we wanted, but he wouldnt know since he didnt ask. We found the modular built homes and really liked a coupleWe went back to talk more about steps to purchase and timeline. This time we spoke to Max. We asked a couple of questions standing in the door of the office and and let him know we were interested in purchasing and we got nothing. We walked away shaking our heads with the clear impression Clayton Homes obviously does not want to sell homes. Neither person we spoke to asked any questions or tried to help is in anyway. Something I was excited about today turned into a huge, frustrating disappointment.

This actually deserves no stars. My sister and her husband were trying to get a house and land. Well the land ended up falling through, the problem the guy working there didnt tell them nothing. He wouldnt answer their phone calls and ignored them. They never received their money back..nothing. Im so glad I changed my mind on getting one of their houses.

Ross is the only professional there; everyone else ESPECIALLY RYAN HUNT are the worst salesmen ever. They try to take the fast way out of everything and tip toe on the lines of the law. They keep you in the dark about everything and you basically have to stay on top of them about returning your phone calls especially when its regarding your deposit. I do NOT recommend conducting any type of business with this particular office especially if they keep RYAN!! DO NOT GO! I TOOK TIME OUT OF MY DAY JUST TO WRITE THIS POST>>>BEWARE

Friendly and knowledgeable salesman. Checking on all options stick built vs. manufactured vs. double wides. They send you to a computer link if you want prices which is a downfall to me. No brochures. That just upset me and thats why the rating.

I wouldnt buy my dog house from here.. we started in December and everything was going pretty good when Nathaniel was there then they gave us Ryan hunt smh its been nothing but confusion we had a piece of land that we needed to get appraised well we paid 500 outta pocket for that and he had the wrong land appraised. Now everytime we find something there is something else in the way I mean every time we have asked for another salesman twice and we still have him he never works the days we are off so it didnt match up for us but they kept us with him... I have 2 small kids and my husband works every day we was really hoping to get a nice trailer with some land but unfortunately thats not gonna happen with them... well be by there for our deposit back and we are going to a real real estate agent

My husband and I were so excited to be starting the process of purchasing our home from Clayton homes in Greenwood, SC. But that feeling was short lived. We were working with Doug Crawford, who was not interested in speaking to me about our home. My husband works three jobs so I would be the one handling ensuring paperwork is done, finding a loan, etc.We were waiting for a price for the 4 bedroom home, I asked Doug several times for it and all he responded with was “I spoke to your husband about it.” Then it was like pulling teeth to get him to send the cost sheet to our mortgage company. And an even bigger hassle to have him send it to me via email. There was such a huge lack of communication and respect that we decided to go elsewhere. Doug doesn’t seem to be very knowledgeable on the process, doesn’t communicate promptly, and left us even more confused than when we started the process. We felt like we were given the run around, not a great feeling when you are trying to purchase your very first home.

Be Very Cautious dealing with these people as they will try to pull a fast one on you. Martin Davis and Ryan Hunt are very unprofessional. Even when you have everything in writing and a contract signed they will try to find a way to lie and squeeze more money out of you. Take your business to a place where they stand behind there word and not attempt to pull a bait and switch on you.

If there was an option for 0 Stars that’s what they would get! We were sent to this lot by a sales associate from another lot to look at a model we were thinking about special ordering. After getting there (45 mins outta the way) we fell in love with Marissa. We decided to change locations. Marissa went above & beyond to help us find what we were looking for while staying in budget. Once our home was found and we put down a deposit we never heard from her again. Weeks later I spoke with the mortgage company who informed me Marissa was no longer employed with Clayton. I contacted CMH Greenwood & Pinka informed me that my file was gonna be assigned to another sales rep. Well it was passed back & forth between Lynn Cook GM, Todd Cook her husband & Pinka. Everything was rush rush rush until we closed. Then it was like no big deal to them. Their contractors were very unprofessional! My home sat on my land for over 2 months before it was set up completely. Keep in mind we closed the first week of February, the first night I slept in my new home was June 11th! I called Todd several times to check on the status & all he would do was give me the contractors number & tell me contact them myself as if it was my responsibility to check on his contractors. Every time we ran into a problem the blame was tossed around. VANDERBILT finally filed a complaint & made CMH pay my 1st months mortgage because the home was still not liveable. Let me give you some example of the issues we had (we did buy a used home which I went over with a fine tooth comb, the mortgage company also had it inspected & I hired my own inspector also... none of the issues were present when we purchased the home). The Sheetrock guy ruined the carpet in the entire house with putty & dust, the Sheetrock work looks horrible & still has cracks! The master bedroom power was never hooked up & they actually drug the wires up the road, I replaced out of pocket. They did not seal the vents on the roof or reapply shingles correctly, luckily we had some hail damage that covered a new roof. I also had to replace the ceiling in one bedroom from the roof leaking. They did not hook up the drains in the bathroom correctly so we had to tear out the vanity & floor & replace them out of pocket! The bolts under the house are not tight so it creeks everywhere you walk. The house is not level so none of the doors hang right! The a/c people busted the fiber cement skirting I paid an extra $2500 for & Todd said they were gonna replace it & ive never seen them again! The siding on the house is several different colors of Grey for some reason. I’m just waiting on what I will find next. We were so happy to have found this used home. It’s not that old & is a beautiful home. We did get a good deal on the home from Marissa but we paid the same amount for delivery & set up as we would have for a new home, & I feel like we got shafted! This was honestly the worst experience ever & im disgusted with it! I have filed a complaint with the “regional manager” so we will see what happens. I’m not looking for anything from them but maybe this will keep them from ripping anyone else!
