They all more or less give you the run around and beat around the bush about the condition of your car and if not that they over price their services. But not Briskers Foreign Car Repairs! I used Briskers for the first time in February 2021. Had some squealing noises coming from the engine area, which was diagnosed within an hour of me dropping the car off. Price to repair was cheaper than what the dealer would have charged me. No BS, no rudeness, and no upselling attempts. I’ll definitely go back when I have another problem (knocks on wood).

Im have owned multiple foreign cars, Honda, VW, Audi, Saab and Volvo. I have dealt with many mechanics for decades and nobody, i repeat, NOBODY is gets the job done like Raz. Hes kind, considerate and loves what he does. One time he fixed my A/C and initially it didnt work properly. The next morning when i showed up he was ready and waiting w the solution. He told me it kept him awake that night and figured it out at 1am!!! 30 minutes later it was done and i was on my way in an ice cold car. I am so fortunate to have found Raz!!

I cant thank Briskers enough - I have a 1986 Honda Civic and have had some trouble finding a place to work on her - one place told me point blank to get a new car. Shes old and rusty, but I love her beyond reason, I know. When I needed to have the brake lines repaired due to rust, the place that diagnosed her said they couldnt do it and had no idea who could and sent me on my way. Briskers showed me great kindness and respect. They had to make the lines themselves, and had to order special parts. Shes running great, and I cant thank them for taking care of both of us. I was on my first solo road trip (from KY to LA) when my check engine light came on. After calling around and reading reviews, I took my car (2001 Subaru) to Briskers in Gretna. Raz and his team were so incredibly kind and helpful... I truly could not have gone to a better car repair shop! When I got there, Raz promptly ran his own diagnostic on the car and then came and talked to me and let me decide whether I wanted to go ahead and get the replacement part (knock sensor) or not. He didnt try to steer me towards getting the part replaced but left the decision entirely up to me, based on what I was comfortable with. When I decided I wanted to be on the safe side and replace the part, he was very quick to fit me in, and he and his team did everything possible to get me back on the road as quickly as possible. As a result, my car was immediately ready to go, the same day and only an hour after running the initial diagnostic, all for a very reasonable price - and it ran beautifully on the 11-hour drive home to KY! Raz in particular showed concern for getting me home safely, and it was clear how much he cared and how much he and his shop value doing good work for people. I highly recommend Briskers for quality service, expertise, sincerity, and care in car repair. Thank you, Raz!

I just had some coolant work done on my 2004 Audi TT Quattro and I can’t preach about what a great job they did. Fast, friendly, professional and quality work. My other car is a new ford so I’ve been looking for a good mechanic for the Audi and I promise I will never go anywhere else to get work done on it. Im the owner of a 1982 BMW 528E. They dont make cars like this anymore, and its almost impossible to find a competent mechanic for car this old. I got lucky when I found Briskers. Raz. Knows. Cars. Sure, he has all the current diagnostic tools, but he has the instinct as well. Ive had to bring my car to him twice in the last six months; once for an ac issue and once for a fuel line issue, and both times I have been 100% satisfied with the results. I had a noise coming from the back of my Mercedes S320. After diagnosing the car the dealer quoted me over $4000 to replace the differential. I checked online for independent import auto shops and chose Briskers based on their good reviews. Raz was very knowledgeable and offered me a few options. After receiving a diagnostic message that need a professional computerized diagnosis I took my 2010 Volvo XC 90 to Briskers. The owner diagnosed the problem, sent me a copy of the computer print out and gave his opinion of what was wrong. He then sent a written estimate of the repairs which gave me time to review it thoroughly. After approving the repairs they were performed promptly and the broken part that was replaced was returned to me. The repair was performed quickly, professionally and at a reasonable price. We would gladly return to have a vehicle repaired.

This was a great place to take my car for engine work. Back in November, I had to replace the Engine on my Ford Mustang. I researched other shops in the area and Briskers gave me the best estimate. Raz was very informative and helpful from the start. He also guided me on going about the right way on purchasing a used engine. I brought my car to him and he Outlined what the procedure would be and what to expect during the repair process. He gave me a list of parts that the engine would need when it arrived so I could purchase it myself. This was serious work but they got it done in a surprisingly quick amount of time. He also kept me updated on everything that was happening during the repair process. Months later and I am still very satisfied with the work they have done. Highly recommended.

This shop can not work on air pressure sensors on MINI coopers even though they advertise they work on them. They said that they computer system is not compatible with the MINI.

Raz is the man! My clutch was completely warn out and the shifter was loose and he fixed both of these within a reasonable budget and matching the estimate, providing updates and pictures as he went along. He also did a great job fixing my a/c, replacing the compressor, again at a reasonable cost and matching the estimate. I will only take cars to him.

Well it seems like we dont need a new A/C compressor for our Mercedes! I knew it just needed freon. But you said it needed a $1000+ compressor. So I bought the stuff to fix it myself. When you told me my break pump was leaking I knew you were a RIP off artist. Because it did not leak before you looked at it. So i went to Auto Zone and bought a wrench to retighten it.

I am so thankful for Raz and the service that he provides! After taking my vehicle to another certified mechanic in the area several months ago (who looked at me with disdain when I mentioned that my car is a diesel), and the issue not being resolved, I made the decision to make an appointment with the Mercedes dealership. Im from out of town and on the trip to NOLA our AC went out. I called several places looking for a quote. Raz talked to me for a while and was concerned it could be something else other than the compressor. I wasnt going to get into town until after 6 (his closing time) he said he would wait for me. I arrived he determined it was the compressor. Next day I dropped the car off and he had it fixed by early afternoon. And not only me but also with all the other customers who came on the garage while he was working on mine. I have been to lot of mechanics but he was the best out of all. Blah! Finding a great mechanic? Impossible! In particular, Ive had bad experiences with Walker VW and Greff Motors -for a long time. They both bad mouth each other, or any competitor, in order to make themselves look better. They strain themselves to proclaim that you need to take your car to the one and only place to get your car right. Their place. What a load! In reality, I learned that I couldnt trust either. The few places that work on VWs in the New Orleans area are dishonest and/or incompetent. Or maybe they just dont care about the cars because they know customers dont have very many options in general. I felt like a good guy for VWs just did not exist locally. Why did I buy a VW?After forever, I happened across reviews for Briskers. Well Raz sounded like some too good to be true character. Im like, no way... the people writing these reviews must be family or something. But my car was out of commission. And the places Id gone to before disgusted me. Did I have anything to lose with a car I stopped loving? So I brought my GTI in.Im delighted to say, and I can hardly believe it, I have found someone rare and special. Raz has done a significant amount of work on my GTI. Hes quick. Hes smart. And he doesnt need to try and steal business from any competitor by using BS tactics. Hes the guy. Hes real. Raz was amazing. Traveling from Atlanta to Tucson, had problems with my M6. Saw awful reviews for the dealer and found Briskers. RAZ answered the phone on Sunday! Said bring it over. He diagnosed it, ordered parts Monday am and mid day Tuesday is was done. What a find. I wish I had him in Tucson. Go there without reservation.

I just got my Lexus GX470 back from Raz after my suspension went out and left me stranded here in New Orleans when I was supposed to be back in Houston this past Monday. RAZ IS AWESOME! My truck originally had an air suspension system, very complicated and expensive. I couldn’t get the parts in town until Wednesday so I was stressing. I called Raz, exasperated and panicked. He was able to give me a quote on the repairs WITHOUT even seeing the truck, as well as recommend the option of converting from the air suspension system to the conventional coil spring shock system, which was half the price, rides the same and would cost me less in the long run. He ordered the parts overnight on Monday, and despite being sick, he was in the shop ready to receive the truck at 10AM Tuesday morning...sick. The wrecker didn’t drop the truck off to his shop until almost 6PM Tuesday evening and Raz STILL had the truck repaired and ready for pick up by 3:30PM on Wednesday! He stayed after hours for me to pick it up, even sicker than he was on Monday; he kept me and my Dad abreast of the progress during the entire process; made recommendations on what else needs to be done in order of priority, and even checked in with me a few hours after pick up to inquire about how it was riding...if I thought there was a difference between the ride with the converted system and the original. It’s not often that you find a mechanic who is not only transparent about what’s going on, who takes time to find the best solution for your car issues and explains them to you, AND who isn’t trying to take you to the bank! Raz is THAT mechanic! It’s CLEAR that Raz cares about his work and his clients, so I’ll DEFINITELY be back!

This is the place. Raz is a true engineer. The first time I pulled in I walked out back into the bay and said hi like we used to in the 70s. Raz was busy and said hed be with me in a minute. Thats exactly how stopping by a garage is supposed to go. Raz came out soon and asked me to start it up. He feathered the throttle slightly and listened to the engine at slightly different speeds. He listened intently for a maybe a minute at several differing speeds but never goosed it. Just alternated it at low RPM.It was the timing he said after a minute. (which I already suspected since I had just paid $1100 (!) for a new timing belt and cam seals at another shop. They had lost my top dead center marks after re-setting the cams. Huge problem and a really critical repair.Raz texted me next day while he had in apart and even sent some photos while he was in there because he knew I was a home mechanic and was interested. He also suggested replacing my water pump while he was at it which is exactly what a good mechanic should do- protect you, notice the details you missed or might have cheaped out on. Overall I was blown away by the communication.When I picked the car up the next day I was also blown away with the Expertise. He had the engine running absolutely right. Im writing this 2 weeks after the repair and I can tell you straight up- this is the place to go. And the $$bill landed right where he said it would.This is no BS review. Im a real guy, the one driving the blue 2001 Volvo XC that hums again. Thanks for the careful, expert work Raz. And thanks to everyone here who wrote good reviews for Briskers. After I went thru a hatchet job/really bad experience I looked carefully to find Briskers and am really glad I found them.

I bought a Mercedes coupe that needed a lot of work. A less than reputable (Pit Stop) garage had installed a new battery and did not re-calibrate the computer ignition. I found Briskers in the yellow pages and called. Raz came and fixed the ignition system, and I could tell from the first interaction that he was someone of integrity. From that, I had him perform a complete mechanical restoration, and he even re-installed my front end after it was damaged. His prices are more than reasonable, and he takes great pains to find the best prices on parts. To summarize, Kaz is a rarity--a very honest, very knowledgable, and very principled mechanic. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I usually do not write reviews, but sometimes, you are compelled to do so and they are extremely warranted. For starters, whenever I needed service on my vehicle, I always thought it was a wise choice to take it to the dealership because they would be in a much better position to service/provide maintenance on your vehicle. Especially, if it was a Mercedes or BMW. I truly learned that when you take your vehicle to Peake, it will take a week, create holes in your pockets, that will create several unnecessary leaks. What a misfortune. However, during that misfortune, I have had the fortune of finding Raz at Briskers Automotive. What a blessing! Truly the epitome of a consummate professional who always goes above and beyond to ensure the job is done correctly the 1st time. He truly has a drive, passion, and love for what he does. 5 Stars does not do any justice and hands-down, I would recommend Raz for any mechanical needs that you may have. Extremely trustworthy which seems to be a lost art in todays business society.

BMW 550i Transmission oil change/TCU change/SOS malfunction/Engine oil change.I got my car taken care of by Raz recently and i found him truthful, diligent, professional and knowledgeful in addition to being skilful. I didnt trust dealership with my car more than him a end. I took my car to him to take care of some electronics initially which dealership was telling me will take for ever and 4 times expansive. I read his google reviews, took my car to him and during my discussion realized he knew what he was talking about. Then I ask him to take care of my car`s transmission oil change and he did it perfectly and i am really enjoying my ride now.I fully endorse him regarding issues which he fixed in my car as above. In addition, he kept me well informed, didnt charge extra, was not looking for additional problems but in meantime gave me his expert analysis of other pre-existing issues in car wich i plan to get take care of by him in near future. Before i found this place i felt depressed and hopeless . if i could give him 100 stars i would . raze went beyond what a mechanic would do and does . as a single parent of a handicap child i cannot leave my car over night and my daughter only ride is this car . he told me if is something that can be done in one day he will do so my daughter can be ok . i brought the car to him he skipped lunch so he can finish my car and i can get home before dark . he made the appointment for me on a saturday because of my daughter school . when he opened a part he looked around to make sure nothing else was wrong and never asked for more . if he ever leaves the country i will sell my bmw because he is the only mechanic i trust with my life . what ever he tells you, you can bet your life on it . i had oil leak all over you couldnt even see the engine when he cleaned it oh my god i thought i had a wrong car it was so amazing .

I couldnt recommend this place more. I called Raz on a Sunday after my VW Golf (2000) broke on Saturday night and he responded and help me to figure out if his place was the best option for me to take the car to. I got stuck at the VW dealer at first but quickly took my car over to Raz who did all the repair work quickly (one day) and gave me more than a fair price for all the work - easily saving me at least $300-400 compared to the dealer. In addition to that, he will also talk with you about what he is doing so you can understand the various repairs. Raz is definitely my new go to mechanic in town. I would highly recommend taking your car to him. As a side note - you can drop off your car (i.e. if it breaks down over the weekend) at the place and leave the keys in the slot of the place next door as long as you put them in a envelope that says Briskers so they know.
